Bhutan unit of currency is Ngultrum (Nu.), which is at par with Indian rupee. Tourists are advised to carry their money in the form of Travelers cheques. Visa, American Express and Master cards are also accepted in some big hotels and shops. Small amount of cash (US Dollars) should be carried for tips and incidental expenses.
