China's railway system is relatively developed, with a large network
of domestic services and some international railway through trains.
Domestic trains are categorized into standard high-speed, high-spend,
tourist trains, special train and direct high-speed passenger
trains.
Standard
high-speed trains run mainly from Guangzhou to Kowloon and from
Guangzhou to Shenzhen.
Evening departure
and morning arrival high-speed trains run between main cities
in China.
Tourists
trains connect main tourist cities and touring by these trains
is very convenient.
Soft sleeper
carriages on China's railways are divided into compartments and
each compartment has two lower and two upper berths.
International
High-Speed Through Trains
International
high-speed through trains consist mainly of the following sections:
Beijing- Ulan Bator- Moscow Beijing-Manzhouli-Moscow;
Beijing- Pyongyang; Urumchi- Alma Ata;
Beijing- Hanoi; Beijing- Ulan Bator.
These rail
section are two-way high-spend passenger trains, of which trains
from Moscow to Beijing via Ulan Bator or Manzhouli run 6-7 days,
offering links for passengers to and from the European continent.
Tickets are
sold at local railways, travel services, hotels and train ticket
agencies.
