Baguio Convention Center (40) - Governor Pack Rd; this convention center, considered to be the archipelago's most modern and spacious north of Manila, was inaugurated July 17, 1978 by former President Ferdinand E. Marcos. It gained international prominence as the venue of the 1978 World Chess Championship series between Anatoly Karpov and Victor Korchnoy.
It contains one large convention hall and six conference rooms of different shapes and base, capacity 45-1,500 persons; equipment: Public Address System, stage lighting provisions, rostrum, blackboards.
