The City
Sri Lanka’s renowned City of Gems. Sapphires, rubies, topazes amethysts, tourmalines, zircons and garnets are some of the gems mined at Ranapura. Located at the southern fringes of the hill country in the awning of the famous Adam’s Peak. Bordered by tea estates and rubber plantations, it is also famous for the Pothgul Vihare.
