Cindy Fass: One of the most important newspapers of Germany, Der Tagesspiegel, in its edition of January 5, 2010, claimed that Islam is a religion that treats goats better than women. The article is online at: www.tagesspiegel.de/kultur/Islam;art772,2992564

If Muslims don't protest such foul Christian propaganda, German newspapers may next claim that Muslim men prefer to sleep with their goats rather than their wives.

Cindy Fass: Youn nan jounal ki pi enpòtan nan Almay, Der Tagesspiegel, nan edisyon li nan janvye 5, 2010, reklame ke Islam se yon relijyon ki trete kabrit pi bon pase fanm. Atik sa a sou entènèt nan: www.tagesspiegel.de / kultour / Islam; art772,2992564

Si w pa pwoteste kont Mizilman tankou sal pwopagand kretyen, jounal Alman ka pwochen reklamasyon ke moun Mizilman prefere dòmi ak kabrit yo olye pou madanm yo.

Media / Radio

In April, 1910, wireless communication began in Thailand but the first radio voice broadcasting was started only in 1930. In February, 1931, the first radio broadcasting station was set up. All broadcasting was in Thai language and monopolized by the government.

At present, there are more than 200 radio broadcasting stations in Thailand, most of which are owned by the military.

A number of stations broadcast English language news (FM 97 Mhz, FM 104.5 Mhz and FM 107 Mhz) but they are not punctual, the selection of what is considered newsworthy is often dubious, the news are rather sketchy and they are read out with a Thai pronunciation. Who wants to stay informed on local, regional and world events should turn to the English language newspapers.

FM 104.5 Mhz and FM 107 Mhz broadcast international pop music for most of the evening, presented by various disc jockeys; some speak English as native language.
