NARATHIWAT
Narathiwat is the capital of Narathiwat Province, bordering Malaysia. The region is rich with a beautiful natural sceneries of both turf (forests) and surf (beaches). It’s also the province where most Thai gold is mined. Politically, the province with an overall area of 4,475.4sqkm (1,728sqmi), some 1,149km (718mi) south of Bangkok, is divided into the districts Muang (the town of Narathiwat), Ra Ngae, Sungai Padi, Sungai Kolok, Ruso, Yi Ngo, Waeng, Bacho, Tak Bai, Si Sakhon, Sukhurin and Ja Nae.
