Attractions around Kunming
Lake Dian
The geographically most extensive sightseeing attraction around
Kunming is Lake Dian. The lake covers some 300 square
kilometers and extends some 40 kilometers from north to south.
Landscape-wise, the more attractive area extends from the western
shore: the Western Hills, also called the Sleeping Beauty
Hills, for the soft swing they paint on the horizon.
