Everyone trying to run for safety when they started to hear something that was happening.I actually have one person here that was just seeing the aftermath.I'm going to bring in here with me.Alexandra, thank you so much for joining me here on City News 24 -7.You said that you work at a cafe. You didn't necessarily hear the shooting, but what did you hear in the aftermath?

2:04

We saw the swarm of people just running towards that way on St. Clair, trampling all the patios, all of the tents.Like, people were trying to get inside and all of the doors just swarming our tents.Like, we got pushed and the table against the wall. But yeah, everybody was scared.

2:22

And when you saw the people, was it like a large swath of people just sort of running in every direction? Were they all trying to run in one direction? All going away, one direction, all going away. And for how many minutes did that necessarily happen for?

2:35

Two or three minutes, yeah.

2:37

And at that point, did you come out, did you start asking questions, or did you just think it was just, did you find it strange?

2:45

People just said that they heard loud noises and I feel like it happens pretty often people hear a loud noise and they think it's gunshots.I didn't immediately think it was gunshots until I started getting messages and other people started saying oh I saw it I saw it and then I saw the sirens.

2:58

And so after the fact now you're seeing we're all seeing right now police here that are out here on St. Clair Avenue West and you're still starting to hear some of the details continuing to unfold of just what happened here.during Salson St. Clair, I mean, what goes through your mind?

It's really sad because I live right there and I've been coming to this festival for so many years and it's like my favorite time of the year like for working and coming here with my family and like Latin Fest I feel like is one of the most fun ones as a Mexican and like it's really sad because it might not happen tomorrow and it's really sad that there's people to ruin it and that it's become such a sad day but yeah, tragic.
