20 versions later… we’ve (hopefully) solved this issue

This is the 20th iteration that I've done and haven't solved it. These are all like, look, it looks really good. Bad. Can't solve this. This is one of our most popular products. It's Chris Merchant's Allium. Really unfortunate because like basically perfect except for that.

And it's driving me crazy. I've set up two cameras. When we see one of these come out with a problem, I'll be able to look at the footage and see what's happening. So this is where it happens. This is definitely like nozzle gunk. I pulled one of these off. You can see on the nozzle it's already crusted and stuff. This falls off into the print. We just ordered these things. They replaced the stock nozzle cleaner with these silicone brushes. So I'm just going to pop it in.

In theory, this will clean the nozzle a lot better. I just wrote some g-code to go where the nozzle brush is. There's this little ellipse and then like a little zigzag pattern should really thoroughly clean the nozzle off. So there's still a bunch of gunk on it. Now that didn't work at all. This will definitely cause problems if we don't clean the nozzle somehow again during the print. What I've done now is every 20 layers it just goes over there, cleans the nozzle really thoroughly, and then goes back to the print, which is honestly excessive, but it seems like we

need that. Now I'm running into the problem of it colliding into the print after cleaning the nozzle. That's what I'm gonna try to solve next.

Yeah, that's exactly what we want. And it did clean it all, like really well. Now that we're doing this mid-print cleaning, I think that that pretty much solves everything. We can get back on track with our production, which has been stressing me out like crazy. which has been stressing me out like crazy.
