Last year I added mechanical key switches to my house. Let's see how they've held up. The most recent one I added was for our doorbell. As you can see, it's like a little dusty and so far I feel like it's actually holding up surprisingly well. Although we don't get that many visitors, so let's see if the doorbell even still works. Oh yeah, it totally does.
I also happened to go with the music note key cap. The home key I which does feel fitting. Visually, this one looks like it's even better shape, which makes sense because it's entirely indoors in the garage. And if we go ahead and press it, yep, the garage instantly closes. Can't get over how easy that was to install too.
There's just, I mean, it's just a button, right? key switch to this PC. Which I now realize I forgot we sprayed with this mirror stuff. This one somehow has the most cobwebs on it. It definitely needs its own enclosure. But if we press it, the PC does in fact spin to life. Oh my gosh, what is that? What is that noise? Must be this cable right there. Okay. Three for three though. These mechanical switches hold up pretty nicely as buttons around the house. Three for three though. And goodbye.
