‘NOT ANYMORE’: Trump, Noem are shutting this down, says DHS official

It's the same time that all that is going on in New York. ICE has busted a trio of MS-13 gang members terrorizing parts of the state. Each of the violent gangbangers come with a lengthy rap sheet ranging from attempt and murder to assault, and more than two of them, sorry, and more,

two of them rather, entered the US illegally under the Biden administration, the other in late 2016 under former President Obama's watch. Let's bring in Trisha McLaughlin. She is the assistant secretary for public affairs at the Department of Homeland Security.

Here's the rap sheet on these three collectively. Fourteen counts of attempt murder, 49 counts of assault. These are bad dudes. These are the ones that not maybe these three in particular, but it's the group of individuals the Democrats keep seemingly defending., but it's the group of individuals the Democrats keep seemingly defending.

No, it's crazy. These are the individuals that we are going after. When we say we're going after the worst of the worst, John, that's not a talking point. That's the fact. Seventy percent of those illegal aliens who have been in this country who we have arrested either have prior criminal convictions or pending criminal charges. But that's just the tip of the iceberg, because that doesn't even include

those who are wanted for crimes in other countries, such as murder. That doesn't include interpol notices. That doesn't include gang members, known or suspected terrorists, human rights abusers. So this is the perfect example of who we're going after. Between the three of them, 14 counts of attempted murder, those are not people you want to be your neighbors or be living on American streets.

Yeah, I remember a couple of weeks ago, maybe three, four weeks ago, we had the case of those two. I think it was Omaha, Nebraska, that they were arrested in. One of them had an Interpol red notice against them, and they were still allowed to come into the country, which clearly would indicate that nobody ran them

through any kind of a database before they paroled them into the country. No, exactly. Actually, just two days ago,

we arrested two individuals who were wanted in Mexico for brutal murders, including murder with a machete and shooting someone to death. And yet, those people are considered non-criminals by the media.

All right, so there's a detainer that's been lodged against these three by ICE. They're currently in the custody of Nassau County. Nassau County is a Republican county, Republican administered county. How do you expect the handover will go when they're eventually released to ICE custody?

They will face justice for their crimes.

No, but is this going to be we're gonna let them out on the street?

Oh, of course not.

And you have got to run in or will this be an actual handover?

This will be an actual handover. We expect that they will honor the detainer and we will arrest and deport them and they will go back to their home country to serve justice there.

Yeah I want to talk about recruitment in ICE because this is a real success story but to get into that I want to play a little soundbite from Delia Ramirez who of course was the one who said in recent days that she's a proud Guatemalan first before she's an American member of Congress. This is what

she said about ICE. Listen here. Come home and let me tell you, all over the country, we will continue to stand up for our rights, and we will continue to call out the terrorist organization that is ICE.

You took issue with this on X a little while ago.

Oh, of course. Any freedom-loving American should take issue with this. This is a sitting member of Congress who's likening our law enforcement that is enforcing the laws on the books in Congress. She's comparing them to terrorists. That is absolutely despicable, but not just that.

She's bragged publicly that members of her family are in this country illegally, that they're breaking the law. And further, of course, she said that she's Guatemala first and American second.

All right. So let's get to recruitment now, because Democrats have described them, ICE, as terrorists. The Gestapo, Storm Troopers, Secret Police. They had 100,000 people in the last couple of weeks applied to become ICE agents. Now you are offering some pretty interesting incentives. $50,000 max signing bonus, student loan repayment and forgiveness options up to $60,000, enhanced

retirement benefits. But a lot of people want to come work for you.

Absolutely. I think Americans see through the media charade. They know that we are truly going after the worst of the worst. They see what's going on in their communities, that there's criminal legal aliens who walk with impunity, walk free for four years and not anymore, not anymore under President Trump and Secretary Nome.

So they're going to join deadice.gov and they're going to help us clean up America's streets.

So is Superman really going to become an ICE agent?
