A Cozy Bridge Interior! Hermitcraft 11 - Episode 2

Everyone welcome back to hermitcraft season 11 episode 2 the server is so alive and busy It's so good to see look at what my neighbors have built. I mean that is just absolutely insane scar And then if you look over here Mumbo's built green Yeah, I know This is absolutely lovely one of the best things about playing on the server like hermitcraft is seeing all of the builds pop up from

My fellow hermits look over here. You can see like all of the different bridges that people have kind of started making. I can't help but notice we might need some more bridges and roads around here though. I mean we've really only got mine at the moment so maybe we can fix that today. Since it is episode two though, I feel it's only right to start the day with a one hour mining session. Let's do it. I've got my fortune three pick that we got last episode and my unbreaking pick and I want to go down and get a bunch of deep slate, a bunch of diamonds, and whatever other resources we can pull out of the ground. This is one of my favorite times of the Hermitcraft season because I

get to do a ton of mining while catching up on all of my friends Hermitcraft episode 1s. If you've also been catching up on our episode 1s, thank you very much! There might actually be nothing cozier than a warm cup of tea, a slightly snowy day outside, and a Minecraft video on the side to keep you company. you have been watching this season. Personally, at the start, I'm trying to keep up with everybody. All right, I'm mine for the length of a mumbo jumbo Hermitcraft episode and I achieved this. Now, not a ton of resources because caving is actually the better thing to do if you want this stuff. However, I actually want this stuff. Your girl's a builder, okay? We're going to be doing a lot of quarrying these days.

Importantly, I've also hit 30 levels again. Using these 30 levels immediately on Silk Touch! Let's go. Listen, I live next to Scar, okay? We use our levels when we have them here. I don't know what I'm gonna die next. Now, that was a lovely session in the mines, but I actually have a very important side mission

for us today, and it starts with grabbing some wheat and crossing the bridge over into our mega base area. Gosh, you know, I really do hope somebody sleeps. Anybody? There's a lot of people online. Oh, thank you, Mumbo.

That's my bridge over there. And this is that hill that we keep looking at from all the way over there. You can see Mumbo's base and Xisuma's base behind me. Scar's base is over there. And just over here, this is my mega base location. Right here.

I didn't show it off super well last episode, but this is where we're gonna be living. I don't have like an exact location yet. I just generally, vaguely am gonna go here somewhere. Since my mega base was partially inspired by Scotland and I'm also basing in a cold biome, our side mission today is actually just

finding Highland cows. The server has a horrible habit of just murdering all the local animals, leather or food or whatever they need, and I really would love some proper Highland cows around here and there must be some left. There must be.

There's lots of furry pigs. Oh, look at that.

Oh my gosh. And I'm going Gothic this season, so I should be playing things very, very cool, but they're just so cute, aren't they cute? Aren't they? Oh, you guys are gonna fit in perfectly. Here we are. Come on, little guys. All right, mission rescue Highland Cows has been a success.

I will now put the sign here so no one messes with my babies. It's perfect. I'm gonna visit them every day. I bet when you heard I was going Gothic, you did not think I would be starting with Highland Cows, but you know, here we are. That's what a trip to Scotland does to you. The locator bar is really fun because I can tell there's an Etho approaching.

Well, you've done it. You've got a good a road. This is a start. It's a start. It's so good I was just thinking about this actually on the other side. Yeah, that one also needs to be built, doesn't it? Yeah, I think I'm thinking a road to Decked Out is very possible here.

Yeah, so Etho's an influencer and I suddenly feel like I should also make a path. So here I am. This path is going to go from my bridge between Mumbo and Gran right past Xisuma here, who can feel free to link this path up however he personally wants. Uh, no, selfishly, I'm gonna bring this path straight towards my mega base

and then turn it towards Tango and Impulse. It'll be good to connect up with Impulse and Skiz, but also Decked Out 3 is gonna be over there so you know we obviously need a path to that. Yep this is it. This is my job now. I'm building the great server path. If I complete this this will actually be really epic because it'll mean this path will go all the way from etho to decked out three and I mean that's kind of perfect right. Let me give you a little bird's eye view here.

So here's the path going from my bridge all the way to the taiga. That over there, that fancy terrain, that's Decked Out 3. I'm just gonna have to chop some trees for horses, but it's definitely doable. You know, I kind of started this thinking I wouldn't actually make that much progress, but it turns out this is a very satisfying thing to do. I'm actually genuinely enjoying this.

All right, luckily. I do suspect I'm basically almost there. Oh my gosh, Tango. Tango and Impulse are basically the richest two on the server Right now so surely they have a spare shovel. Oh my gosh impulse

The fun thing about visiting impulse is I feel pretty impressive For tackling that path on episode 1 and then I come here and impulse has done this. I'm so proud of him. Hello. Hello

Thanks, Tango. Oh my gosh, it looks so good already. Here is Tango's path. I'll admit there's some refining that I need to do, but there is now a path all the way from Dekto 3 through my base, through Xuma's base, through Mumbo's base, through Grian's base, through a ton of bases, all the way to Etho's base. Which is an absolutely huge distance for an episode two path.

I'm really excited to work on it some more, refine it, and add a lot of details to it from my area. Maybe even a highland cow petting area, that'd be cool. After just a couple more hours of work, this path is now so Clear going into this area

I'm actually really glad I did this so early on because already it's getting a lot of use not a lot of people have a Lighter yet, and they want to be able to ride their horses through these forests See people on the road. I love the road, Gem. You're amazing.

I know you knew this about me, Gem. I know you knew this, but it's it's a condition that's worse than you know. My sense of direction, the worst, the worst in the world. You have saved me, saved me on the I get lost when I'm flying.

Well, this goes straight to Etho. It should be super easy for you. And I feel good about the Hermitcraft public service jobs that I've got done today, but I feel this has not been very bridge troll-like. So let's return to the bridge, shall we? The first episode, I actually didn't finish the towers that mark out each side.

I don't really have a reason for that. They're just gonna go from deep slate to white, which I think is gonna be building my mega base out of. I did it like this because I wanted a really cool tie-in to my actual mega base. It's really far from here, but still, I feel as you're walking from the shopping district, you'll probably will recognize the same pattern.

Since we don't have any actual gargoyles, I thought the cat did the trick. I'm about to do something that I don't think I've ever done before on the Hermitcraft server. I'm about to make a bunch of auto farms. Now, I've made a Prismarine farm before in season 9,

and I've made, like, auto sugar cane farms. I'm building very mega this season. And in order to do that, I'm gonna need quite a variety of farms. Starting, I think, with an iron farm and some villager trading. I am genuinely suffering from success a little bit. This chest is so full of valuables.

Entirely everything in here is valuable. What is happening to me? I feel like I've ever had this lucky of a start. Right, okay, iron farm. Can't be that hard, can it? Surely? Probably? Welcome to a random village where I have been keeping some villagers safe. Sort of. For context on where we are, the taiga is my megabase area and the forest

is Joel's megabase area. Thankfully, villagers do not have the most brain cells and they've already conveniently trapped themselves for me. So that's good. You know when you have so much to do that you actually feel a little bit like you don't know what to do? That's kind of what I feel like right now.

I've made so many mistakes I don't even know where to start Now I remember moving zombies being a pain, but I don't remember it being this painful Why go in please go in thing? Oh man, okay, what do I do here? I decided the best course of action is just to finish the farm and hope for the best. I mean I've gotten this far All right, everyone look impressed this is the first thing I've built in my mega base area. Yep, beautiful work, isn't it? Genuinely though, I don't think I've ever built

an iron farm on Hermitcraft before. So that's a first and I'm happy about it. This farm is so good. I haven't even really AFK'd yet and it's already given me over a stack of iron. That's actually insane. Imagine if I had a few of

them. I've also decided in my first neighborly thing of the season and invite Joel to also use it because Joel and I kind of share this area. We both probably should share this village although I don't know if he thinks of it like that. I really don't mind if Joel also wants to use the iron farm that's totally cool with me. I'm kind of rich this season. I can just give out my resources. No problem.

Right, I will not be caught slacking by Mumbo Jumbo, so we need to do the interior of this bridge. Since I'm using that layer down there as storage, I think that's the first thing I'm gonna do. I'm just gonna start using this layer as more storage I need it to still look really cool and also maintain a path of travel. So it's going to be sort of Assorted barrels and stuff which I think should be really cool. I'm gonna pop down a crafting table We can have like a little desk area here Maybe it is three wide so there is kind of room for a chair here and you can still walk around it

I just need there to be a little one wide gap Oh, this is such a good place to be able to troll people from under the bridge as they walk over Oh, it's so tempting. Okay. Look at this. I'm thinking some details under the windows Like that that is really cool. I don't know if it I feel like it shouldn't be deep slate though Maybe dark oak actually would provide a better contrast. We have a lot of stone and cobblestone happening here

and I'd like to warm up the base a little bit with some wood tones like this maybe instead. And picture it with some vines coming from the ceiling. Honestly, yeah, I think that's pretty good. It adds the contrast that I wanted.

Right. I don't know about boring, but this interior is definitely successful. I mean, Minecraft lately in the updates has gotten so good for little tiny details. Candles, these weird little pale moss vines, the chiseled bookshelves. It's genuinely a cozy builder's dream. And I had so much fun with this.

All right, with the storage room expanded and prettified, it is now time for some more functional bits. I love that this room has a composter. I would also really like some sort of auto smelter. So I'm gonna set up two of those just right here. I'll admit this room is not going to be very pretty, but it'll be functional.

I have a lava farm over here now, which will be a great source of fuel so I don't have to use coal. This may be a little strange, but I'm actually just gonna do like some ceiling beams in the in-between bit here,

just as a nice transition as you're coming down and coming into this work area. I think if I put that in there it should go into the fuel slot and then anything that I put up here will get automatically smelted. May not be the prettiest but this one functions. I've decided that this very bottom layer down here should actually be our fishing layer so I'm gonna put lots of places to store all my catch and a campfire that I can actually lay some fish on Oh, I love the new paintings

There's one room left in my tower right here, and I think I kind of want it to be like a reading room So let's get a really cute painting. Oh Yeah, I think that qualifies nice desk right here a pillar to add some shape to the room. All of these rooms are so cozy. I am so happy. When people come to visit me now and explore the tower, there is at least something in every single room.

And actually I'm realizing I kind of neglected this room. So let me add some supports to the ceiling at the very least. Oh, and maybe we could also go ahead and add a lantern. There we go. Get rid of as many torches as we can.

Okay, now that almost everything is detailed, we gotta get back into useful territory. The iron farm is a good start, but since this is so close to the spawn portal and also the shopping district, I should put a few auto farms in my bridge. Or, well, around my bridge, I suppose. These farms are so easy to make, even a complete redstone noob like me can do it. I'm doing two observers because I really just don't have that many blocks, but something grows, all the pistons will trigger Floating this is a floating breeze board Where did Bear go?
