Well, peace negotiations with Iran are on hold as Iran holds a multi -day funeral for slain Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.Listen to what President Trump had to say about negotiations earlier this morning.Roll it.

Look, we're going to win one way or the other.We're either going to make a deal or we're going to finish the job, OK?And it won't be tough to finish the job.I'd rather make a deal because I don't want to affect 91 million people.We can knock down their bridges in one hour.We can knock out their energy supply, all of those big plants that they built, big, beautiful, modern plants.

They had a lot of money.They don't have any money now.We haven't given them any money.But we can knock out their electricity and power generating plants.And I would say a small part of an afternoon, every plant will be gone.And they know that.

Retired four -star General Jack Keane joins me now.General, always a pleasure to see you.Is it time to finish the job, General?

Well I don't think we're at that point yet.We're in a major diplomatic phase expected to go 60 days.David likely given the Ukrainians objective to delay negotiations and how successful they usually are at that it may in fact go beyond 60 days.But at the end of the day I don't buy the fact that the Ukrainians are going to submit and concede all of the concessions that President Trump wants.I mean, everything dealing with the nuclear enterprise does not exist, nor the capability to recover it.And number two, restriction on ballistic missiles and no support for proxies.

Those are the three major objectives that he was attempting to achieve militarily and now diplomatically.And I know people believe the Ukrainians—I mean, excuse me, the Iranians.seem to be willing to make this kind of a deal.But they're the negotiators.They're not the decision makers.And I think how Ukraine is behaving right now is more of an indicator of where they really are.

And what am I talking about?Well, they're still trying to control the Straits of Hormuz.The only deal that we agreed to in the MOU was open the Straits of Hormuz from your perspective, Iran.We will remove the nuclear blockade.We remove the nuclear blockade.And what is Iran still doing?

Controlling the Straits of Hormuz.Eight ships turned around.on Saturday due to their intimidation and coercion based on what they're telling them where to go, when to go, and to pay insurance.And that's not supposed to be a part of the deal.Secondly, we now have evidence that they are recovering something nuclear at Picksocks Mountain.And what's supposed to be is the status quo and no recovery.

They're recovering ballistic missiles and it's supposed to be status quo and no recovery during this ceasefire negotiation phase.I think those are indicators of their mindset and I would like it to be something else.But I don't think while the people in the regime have changed David I don't think the ideology the commitment to to the Iranian objectives, dominate and control the region, drive the United States out of the region because of its influence, and eventually destroy the state of Israel.I think those goals are right there.The crowd that we're seeing on television is an indicator of that.Death to America, death to Israel, death to Trump, death to Netanyahu, that is reflective of who they really are.

If they don't straighten up, and if they don't allow every vehicle, every tanker that wants to get through to get through the Strait of Hormuz, and we decide it's time to finish the job, aren't we better prepared now to finish the job?Don't we have more intel?Isn't our military might better equipped now than it was a couple of months ago?So in fact, they are not only making the wrong decision in terms of reneging on their promises, in a much better position to finish the job.

Yeah, we had about two weeks to go.25 % of the targets were still there.We would have been able to finish it.We do have more capability that has moved into the region.The Israeli's magazine depth has been replenished.But here's the other thing, and this is very notable, is during these eight, now 10 -plus weeks of the ceasefire that began all the way back in the first week in April, The truth is, we've been monitoring everything they're doing.

So when they're recovering the ballistic missile sites and opening them up and taking the launchers and the missiles out, what are we doing?We're tracking.We're tracking what they are doing on the ground, because we have that kind of surveillance sophistication.So our intelligence will be very pristine.And we return to military operation.We are quickly going to take down a lot of their capability to retaliate against the Gulf oil infrastructure, against US bases, and certainly against Israel.

Yes, we are much better prepared now.

General, before you go, I want to ask about Ukraine.President Trump called both Vladimir Putin and Zelensky.Actually, it was on July 4th, as if he didn't have enough to do.He spent 90 minutes, apparently, with a phone call.Listen to what Brett Sandler had to say about the current state of the war earlier in the program.Roll tape.

It's no secret, the last few months, the Russians have been taking significant losses on the battlefield.And the Ukrainians have changed their tactics.And I think this is providing an opportunity, an opening, maybe fleeting, but in the next month or two to try to get the Russians to agree to a ceasefire that's acceptable to the United States and also Ukraine.And that, I think, was what you were hearing with those phone calls.

General, we only have about 30 seconds, but is Russia ready to make a deal now?

I don't think so.I think they still believe they can wear down the United States will here in terms of President Trump and the political support and also Zelensky.I know for a fact that Putin gets false information from his generals on maps and A .I.driven videos to convince him that they're doing much better than what they are.It is indeed a fact that he cannot replace the casualties now for the first time.

in the five years of the war.In other words, he doesn't have the sufficient replacements to replace all those casualties.His economy is worsening as he gets along here, but he's still, in my judgment, not ready.And he's lying to the president in that phone conversation about the success that he's achieving, when clearly everybody knows the tide has turned in favor of who?Ukraine.That's a fact.

Is it time to start bombing Iran?We welcome back to the show General Jack Keane, Fox News strategic analyst.General Keane, welcome, sir.You caught a little bit of FIFA from the great Jim Gray.Sorry to keep you waiting, but that's the way TV sometimes is.So I read a couple of days ago a very interesting article interview, I think it was on Fox Digital, General Keith Kellogg, whom you know, retired General Keith Kellogg, part of the Navy.

security team in Trump's first term.And he was very blunt, sir, and I just want to get your take on it.He was very blunt, and he's basically saying that the negotiations with Iran will come to naught.And in fact, already the Iranians have been hitting the Gulf of the Strait of Hormuz.They've been trying to hit our military base and other problems.They're not behaving in Bahrain.

They're not behaving.That shouldn't be any surprise.They're through.They're doing the Ayatollah funeral now.Not only screaming death to America, but murdered Donald Trump.So anyway, Keith Kellogg was very blunt about it.

He says it's time for a second wave of bombing.Go ahead and hit to wreck their economic and oil structure.What do you think about that?You know Keith Kellogg, and I would guess you respect him as we all do.

Yeah, well, I've worked with him for a number of years.We know each other very well.Full disclosure, we're friends.So yeah, I mean, where are we here?Certainly.President Trump has made a fundamental decision to stop military operations.

And because of the pressure of the close the closure of the Straits of Hormuz political and economic objectives became the top priority driven obviously by the spike in oil and gas prices.And that's the reality of what we're dealing with.We're in a diplomatic phase.It's a major diplomatic phase likely to go 60 days and if the Iranians have their way to go longer.I think I agree with General Kellogg.The evidence is pretty clear that the Iranians, as opposed to changing their behavior in terms of what the negotiators are saying, who are dealing with the Iranian negotiator, I don't doubt for a minute that those Iranian negotiators have those aspirations that things will change.

or they are changing, but that's not who the decision makers are.The decision makers broke the ceasefire and are still controlling a portion of the Straits of Hormuz as we speak.They intimidate eight ships to turn around on Saturday, and they're telling people when you can go through the northern part, the closest part to Iran, and where you must go and you pay insurance.So they still have an element of control.But the only deal that was in the memorandum agreement everything else was an aspiration for negotiations was an agreement over open the Straits of Hormuz and we a C -Star blockade as a result of it.We did our part of it.

The Iranians have yet to do theirs.Secondly, over the weekend, we now have evidence that Iran, at Pickax Mountain, which is one of their nuclear enterprise sites, they're doing some recovery work, which is in violation of the status quo, and recovering ballistic missiles, which is in violation of the status quo.So what does that tell you?I think it tells you the people have changed that we're dealing with, certainly, because we killed the others.But in terms of who they are and what they represent, they're much the same.They're diabolical, tyrannical radicals who are going to go right back to all the objectives that they've always had.

Develop a nuclear weapon, accelerate ballistic missile development so that they can overwhelm the U .S.bases, the Gulf states, and Israel.That's the path they were on when we went to war.and they'll continue to support for proxies.The evidence is what is happening with Hezbollah in Lebanon.

They've got their full support.I think that is the path that we're on.And I think what will happen here is you know the president.He's going to put up with this.And he already has a healthy dose of skepticism whether we're going to make a deal or not.And it's likely

we're going to return to combat operations.That's that.That is the path that we're on because I don't believe for a minute that they're going to meet all of the president's major objectives, dealing with the entire nuclear enterprise, restriction on ballistic missiles, and support for proxies.I doubt, seriously, they're going to meet those objectives.And then he's already told us what the alternative is.

Well, you know, sir, yeah, I mean, he will allow this Iranian nonsense to occur until he doesn't.And let's add, As it was widely reported, the president recently met with General Kane, head of the Joint Chiefs, and with War Secretary Pete Hegseth, and they showed him a number of combat operation options.The President apparently still is sticking to diplomacy, but it just seems like that ball is moving inside the administration, inside the Joint Chiefs, perhaps inside CENTCOM.They will be running out of patience before long.

Yeah, there's no doubt about it.And the Iranians are driving much of this, as we can see.Look at the demonstration dealing with celebrating the life of the Supreme Leader.They started that on July 4th.Is that an accident.Of course not.

They plan that.Right.They've got hundreds of thousands of people in the streets.And what are the people in the streets chanting.Death to America.Death to Israel.

Death to Donald Trump.Death to Netanyahu.Reflecting I think what is really the attitude of the people in charge.Those are stooges out there that are working for this this government.They have three to four hundred thousand people that are part of theIRGC infrastructure They have no trouble getting those people out in the streets to demonstrate for them Contrast that to what took place at the end of last year when there were demonstrations by the other Iranian people in over 200 cities at the same time literally millions of people on the streets over the economic woes that that country had what what a What a clear statement that is.

So anybody that thinks that the attitude in Iran is changing and where people are reflective of that is grossly mistaken.

Yes, sir.Yes, sir.Well, we'll see how events play out.Thank you for your insights, General Keene.We appreciate it very, very much.

President Trump is going to be landing momentarily in Turkey for the NATO summit, this two -day summit beginning, bringing his America First agenda to the world stage.This is video of him last night boarding Air Force One at Joint Base Andrews.He is currently in the air and is going to be landing in Turkey soon.He is set to meet with Turkey's President Erdogan before attending a NATO leaders dinner.That dinner is going to be tonight, expected at the top of this agenda, ending the war between Ukraine and Russia.

I think we're getting much closer than people realize.And President Putin wants it to end.I will tell you that very strongly.Good call.And President Zelensky actually wants it to end now.And we're going to be going to NATO and we're going to be talking about it.

And I think we're going to get it.I think we're going to get it ended.It's been a terrible situation.

NATO General Mark Rutte reportedly planning to unveil a multi -billion dollar arms package after pressure from the commander -in -chief.Writing in a new op -ed, quote, the alliance that has leaned too heavily on U .S.muscle is building its own and buying American, too.The president also reportedly is planning billions in arms sales to the United States.allies to step up.

Joining me now, Fox News Senior Strategic Analyst at Institute for the Study of War Chairman General Jack Keane.General, good morning to you, and your insight is so valuable here.Jerry Baker writes in the Wall Street Journal that his concern, and it's changed in the last month, is that Vladimir Putin could be getting ready to possibly attack maybe a Baltic state, possibly Poland.And he said, and officials tell me otherwise.Your reaction to that?

Yeah well certainly we've known for some time that seizing Ukraine clearly was his objective and let's make certain everybody understands now the idea that Putin is ever going to take Ukraine is really out of the question.There was a number of people certainly who thought that Putin, larger country, outmanning, outgunning Ukrainians would eventually win.And that narrative certainly was posited with the American negotiating team as well.But I think we're much more clear -eyed about what has taken place here.That's just not possible.The tide has turned in the favor of Ukraine.

Given the fact that Putin knows he's got serious troubles inside of Ukraine, there's people who think that he may seize this opportunity to masquerade those problems by taking on Europe and NATO at a time when they believe they're vulnerable and weak.And obviously, much of this meeting is about building up European NATO defense capabilities with their defense industry and also establishing a realistic deterrence against Russia's ambitions and expansions.A major strategic victory for Putin would be to break the transatlantic alliance.If he moved on those countries,he would only do so, Cheryl, because he believes that they will not physically oppose him, that it would actually sever the transatlantic alliance, and that the United States would not participate as well.If he tried to take those countries, realizing that the United States and NATO would oppose him, then that would risk, obviously, his being able to survive as a leader of Russia.

So strategically, I think that's what Gerald Baker is thinking about.He can speak for himself, certainly.I don't think that's likely to happen.I think Putin clearly does have his hands full dealing with the situation in Ukraine and dealing with the challenge he's having internally in Russia.Ukraine is now taking down, in terms of oil storage capability, 34 % of what Russia has.And we've just seen them strike an oil storage facility in Siberia, which is some 1 ,500 miles away.

Quite traumatic, what has taken place here.Gas shortages are prevalent in most of the major areas of Russia as a result of Ukraine's successful aggression here.And Russia, in desperation, is trying to kill as many Ukrainians Ukrainian citizens as they can.They're targeting non -combatants to put pressure on Zelensky and also to put pressure on the United States.But there's only been one person who hasn't been wanting to go to a ceasefire here in the last three years, and that has been Putin.And I doubt seriously that he's willing to do it now either.

Interesting that you say that.And certainly we know that the president spoke with Vladimir Putin on Saturday, but he is scheduled to meet with President Zelensky during the NATO two day summit.So we're going to be following that news.There's also some new overnightI want to get your reaction to.Tehran's military reportedly has fired at least two missiles at commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz.

Now Iran says a Qatari oil tanker ignored repeated warnings.Now, the British military says one of its tankers traveling off the coast of Oman did catch fire after being struck by a projectile.Both vessels had damage, but no casualties.Now, President Trump gave this warning to Iran yesterday.Watch this.

Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reportedly did speak with President Trump on Friday, urging him to rein in Turkey's Erdogan over his anti -Israel rhetoric.Hold off on the planned $700 million jet engine deal.General Keane, I want to get your thoughts on all of this because, you know, the reporting is, and this is the expectation from officials at the White House, that there's going to be a major defense deal announced and that the president's going to once again allow Turkey to start buying F -35s.

Well, let me deal with the first thing, the Straits of Hormuz.In the Memorandum of Understanding, there was really only one deal there, and that was Iran would open their Straits of Hormuz and the United States would remove U .S.blockade.And that was the deal.Everything else was kicked down the road in terms of negotiations with a 60 -day deadline.

And has Iran complied with that?Absolutely not.We've seen multiple times now that they are still maintaining some control of the straits.Hormuz in terms of where ships will go, when they will go, and making certain that they're paying for doing that, using insurance, tolls, fees, or whatever.That means Iran's still exercising a level of control over the straits.President Trump has already reacted to that once with military strikes.

I suspect he's not going to permit this to happen.This is the first thing that we agreed to, and Iran is reneging on that agreement.We have this problem here with the negotiators saying one thing, but the people in charge doing something quite different.And that is what we're seeing happening here.In terms of Turkey, so our audience understands, the United States and Turkey are truly at odds when it comes to the Middle East.The fact of the matter is, is that Erdogan is a Muslim Brotherhood, he's pro -Hamas, and he's anti -Israel, calling for the destruction of the state of Israel.

He doesn't agree with the Abraham Accords, which is a seminal achievement of the Trump administration.He's exercising domination and control over Syria, and he's informally stitching together an alliance consisting of Turkey, Pakistan, Syria, Egypt, and Azerbaijan and Saudi Arabia.And what is that all about?That is separate from the United States' influence in the region, and he's doing that because of the United States' domination and influence in the region.He wants us to have less of that.At the same time, he has a very cordial and friendly relationship with our president, and he is a member of NATO.

To me, it makes no sense.to give him F -35s given the security issues and given his strategic objectives, which are so much at odds with the United States.
