Australians ditching cards for cash payments

Many Australians are ditching cards for cash as the cost of living crisis bites.The latest global payments report found nearly 20 % of people aged 55 and above use cash as their preferred method when visiting the shops.

For those aged 35 to 44, it is around 13 % and 8 % in the 25 to 34 age bracket, despite the push towards a cashless society.Experts say cash can be a helpful budgeting tool when times are tough.
