Bondi shooting hero charged with assault

Ahmed al -Ahmed, the man hailed as the Bondi hero, has been charged with allegedly assaulting his father.The 44 -year -old is accused of putting his elderly dad in a headlock at their Bankstown home in March.

The Sydney tobacconist gained worldwide attention after disarming one of the gunmen during the terror attack.He's due to face court at the end of July, as separate proceedings continue against his brothers, who are accused of trying to extort him over publicity -donated friends.
