Hello everybody, welcome back.I hope your day is starting off just fantastic.I have some fantastic news to share with you about our country.And what makes it even more fun is the fact that it's hilariously entertaining the contrast between two countries.One, Canada being run by someone who understands the economy and is making good decisions.And two, a country being run by a economic illiterate child who has no idea what he's doing.

The latest news reported by Statistics Canada, Canada added 18 ,000 jobs in June as the unemployment rate edged down.June figures indicated a stronger start to the summer market for students, StatsCan said.Analysts polled by Reuters had forecast a net of 10 ,000 job gains following a big jump of 87 ,800 jobs in May, but the actual number of jobs created came in almost double that estimate.And this is really good news for the youth of our country.They have more employment opportunities and asking rents in Canada fall more than 4 % from last year.British Columbia and Ontario saw the biggest year -over -year drops.

This is how you improve affordability, and it's a slow, steady process that takes a long time.You try and create more jobs, more job opportunities.Hopefully wages increase more than inflationary pressures.Having rents come down is a really important thing for our youth, so this is good news.As opposed to the headline from the United States, the U .S.

added just 57 ,000 jobs in June, a worrying sign as wage growth remains slow.Now remember the population of the United States is almost 10 times that of Canada, so a 50 ,000 jobs created month is a fairly weak number compared to our 18 ,000.And hidden in the US report, and this seems to be happening all the time now, the report also included sharp downward revisions for prior months.Hiring in April was cut by 31 ,000.and May was revised down by 43 ,000 jobs.It seems to be a pattern that's emerging more and more since the US president fired the head of the bureau of labor statistics in the united states and appointed his own choice to run it and now it seems that the numbers come out and they're average to fairly good but quickly get revised down in future months so the job creation numbers in the united states are horrible.

so what happened to all the talk of all the jobs are going to move back to the united states once we impose tariffs on canada and the rest of the world the whole world will rush to the u .s and everything will be done in the u .s and the u .s will be the center of the universe the hottest country in the world and all the jobs will be created in the united states and everything will be fantastic canada is going to like plummet there's going to be a trade deficit for canada we're going to crush them What happened to all that talk?Well, it turns out Canada's trade surplus hit a four -year high in May led by a jump in exports to the United States.This was the third consecutive month of trade surplus.

That's right, a jump in exports to the United States because we all know we don't need anything from Canada.Canada's been very nasty to us.They've been a horrible country, a horrible trading partner.We're gonna make them pay.We don't need anything from Canada.I hate those Canadians.

I'm having a bad hair day.that's besides the point.It turns out Canada's manufacturing trade surplus widened to a four -year high in May, rising for the fourth consecutive month as exports to the United States top its highest level since February last year.It turns out that Americans and American companies actually do need things from Canada.The only difference now is they pay the Canadian companies for those things and then when the imports arrive, they have to pay a tariff tax.their country is more expensive.

The annual U .S.inflation rate, as measured by the Consumer Price Index, was 4 .2 % for the 12 months ending in May.This represents an increase from the 3 .8 % record in April.On a month -over -month basis, the consumer prices rose 0 .5 % in May. I wonder if that has anything to do with the fact that the US government is making Americans and American companies pay more for everything.I wonder if those things follow.

I guess they do.Meanwhile, Canada's inflation rate climbed to 3 .2 % and I won't make a joke here because 3 .2 % is too high up from 2 .8 % in April, largely driven by a surge in gasoline prices.Of course, we all know that the spike in gasoline prices is courtesy of the bombastic buffoon in the United States who started a war with Iran and the whole world is being hit by this now.Thanks very much, you incompetent economic illiterate.Excluding gasoline, the consumer price index in Canada posted an increase of 2 .2 % year over year, which is much lower than the 4 .2 % increase being experienced in the United States.So how are the two leaders reacting to this situation now?

This is the situation the world's in right now.A scenario where there's rising energy costs.Trade is very important.Like what are our two leaders doing?and this is really good.Well, I could give you about a dozen examples of what our prime minister is doing.

S.?The economic illiterate that's running the United States orders HALT to U .S.trade with Spain.Because that's how you lower prices for your citizens.

you order a halt to trade with your friends.What does the United States buy from Spain?Hey, you took the words right out of my mouth, US News.What does the US import from Spain?No pharmaceutical products for you.No pure olive oil for you.

No refined petroleum for you.No electrical transformers for you.No perfumes for you.No vaccines, blood and other medical items for you.

No unglazed ceramics for you.No wine for you.No gas turbines for you.

No rubber tires for you.And it's unfortunate that the United States does not import soup from Spain.because then I would have been able to say, no soup for you!But just to be serious here, there is a possibility that the US president is playing three dimensional chess that we mere mortals don't understand.I mean, while he's halting trade with allied countries and while he's increasing tariffs and taxes on imports, he has other plans that are very, very complicated, not easy to understand.For instance, influencing the mood of Americans.
