BREAKING: Supreme Court Rules Against Trudeau's Bid to End Ethics Challenge

The high court says watchdog group Democracy Watch can.now pursue a court challenge.

We got a lot of stuff happening in the news today.Welcome back to Moose and Loose.Today, we've got Supreme Court ruling against Justin Trudeau.We've got a bunch of different updates here.Let's jump into this.Starting this episode off from iPolitics, Anand says she'll head to the UN to explain how Canada plans to implement Carney's Davos speech.

As he laid out in his Davos speech, she said that would include calls for the business community, civil society and the country at large to ensure that we're all pulling in the same direction in terms of building Canada strong.This is a complete joke.Mark Carney's making us weak to China.Weak to America.tanking our economy, bringing in net zero, he's going to make the cost of things go up, drive business out and make life miserable for Canadians, hardly building Canada strong.She goes on to say our foreign policy has taken a significant shift from the previous iterations of Canada's foreign policy owing to the geographical environment in which we're operating and a ruptured economic order like they just can't not use this like come on.

Now moving ahead, I want to go back to this press conference just for a brief moment here because there is a piece of Carney's body language here, which is unbelievable.There's a meme going around.I can't play it because it shows a Borat clip when he pretends to be Saddam Hussein and laughs about building bombs and doing nice things with them.Well, listen to Carney here.You'll see it.You'll see him laugh when he talks about making life affordable for Canadians.

He does not care about our country.This is an awful prime minister.Speaking of awful prime minister, we got Justin Trudeau back in the news here.Wow, look at this.A watchdog group can pursue a court case.The watchdog group they're talking about is Democracy Watch, Duff Conaker, says a federal ethics report on Justin Trudeau's involvement in decisions about We Charity the Supreme Court of Canada has ruled.

So they are now allowed to proceed with this.Years later, says the unanimous decisionissued Thursday, the top court found a provision of the Conflict of Interest Act barring a challenge to be unconstitutional.So it was unconstitutional barring this challenge and now they can proceed.Basically, it says encourage students to volunteer for the world event related community service.on the matter because of the appearance of a conflict.

Our Conflict of Interest Act in Canada is a complete joke.Like it is an absolute joke, which we'll get to here in a second.Dion concluded that while it's always advisable to recuse oneself and inform the Commissioner promptly when facing an apparent conflict of interest, there was no requirement to do so under the Conflict of Interest Act.You know, McKinnon can say, oh, we have the most rigorous system in the world.We don't.Our system is a complete joke.

We aren't a serious country until we fix this.

story that we're tracking.Canada's top court says a judicial review of an ethics ruling involving former Prime Minister Justin Trudeau can proceed.The Supreme Court of Canada ruling references a 2021 federal ethics report that found Trudeau did not break conflict of interest laws by taking part in decisions around the We Charity.The high court says watchdog group DemocracyWatch, He's paying his family members tens of thousands of dollars of our money for doing what?

Showing up to events?That's ridiculous.So it says the Commissioner's interpretation of the Act and an air of fact about Trudeau's relationship with one of the We Charity founders.Federal lawyers argued the Conflict of Interest Act bars judicial review concerning questions of fact and law.The Federal Court of Appeal dismissed Democracy's Watch application prompting the group to take its case to the Supreme Court.And in a 9 -0 ruling Thursday, the top court sent the matter back to the Federal Court of Appeal.

So it goes on to say here Duff Conaker, co -founder of Democracy Watch said in a statement that challenging errors in rulings by the Ethics Commissioner and by extension all agencies, boards, commissioners and tribunals across Canada.So this is the big win here.So as you're going to see here, this is a complete clown show, but there is a win out of this.The decision confirms that the government cannot place themselves above the law, said Ian Miron, a lawyer for the group Ecojustice, which intervened in the case at the top court.Instead, the decision reinforcesthat all levels of government are accountable for their decisions under the law.

So we do have one big win here.So let's just break this down.Under the Conflict of Interest Act, which we see right here, it says He can't be put in jail, even though I think he should be put in jail.And I know a lot of you think the same thing.For violating the Conflict of Interest Act, there can't be any jail time.And this needs to change.

We need to have serious jail time if you're breaking the law.Now, if Trudeau is found guilty, and that's really not the right word here, but if he has been found to breach the Conflict of Interest Act, the maximum penalty is 500 bucks.That's why our country is not serious.Until we get rid of this and put in jail sentences for prime ministers enriching themselves, putting in policies that make themselves money, we're not going to be a serious country.It needs to be like 20 years in jail for doing this.For example, if a prime minister were to announce that they're going to dish out $500 million to the Red Crisp mine, which is owned by Newmont and operated by Newmont, and then say they're invested in Newmont, they should be put in prison for that, as far as I'm concerned.

But from this, we do get one good win here, as it mentions from Duff Conaker.This sets a clear precedent going forward for all future cases, as in Mark Carney.So Mark Carney won't be able to get away from this because there's already a standard set.So at the very least, if with Carney's 20 plus I think he's at 25 conflicts of interest that I have on my list.That would be $25 ,000 of fines, and that would be on his record, and that would be a stain that would be broadcasted across Canada that he wouldn't be able to get away from.So while Trudeau is not going into the slammer, this is still a win for us because we have a clear standard now that they can't get away from.

Moving ahead here, we've got some more updates from Spain.So the zombie invaders completely taking over the streets.There's some footage I can't show, but people trying to break into houses, these invaders have completely swarmed the city.I would be terrified to be over there right now.

These people are coming in without any obstruction.And if people don't know, Spain has a very left -wing government.Earlier this year, they did a big amnesty program for over a million illegal immigrants living in the country.They had 1 .3 million illegal immigrants apply for that amnesty program between April and June.So that's what we call a pull factor, Sandra.

Yeah, so I mentioned that in the previous video.There's different benefits.Some of them, they get meals every day.They get credit for housing and food.I mean, they don't get that back home.So they're like, oh, I'll just go over there and get a bunch of free money and try to find a better life.

I mean, if they keep getting free money, why would any of these people leave?Most of these people probably don't have any skills.Young guys, no skills.These aren't doctors and engineers.

Looking for something like that.They know if they can just get their foot in the country, maybe someday that left wing government will do another amnesty program.And you were just reading some of the wires.The locals want an emergency declaration.It sounds like.None.

People would call these folks so -called asylum seekers.These are all young guys just flooding into the country and overwhelming what, if any, border there is.It looks like there's just kind of a small barbed wire fence or something like that.But you can see the Spanish government was caught completely off guard here.And you have thousands of these men.I mean, it literally looks like you

hear the word invasion, but it literally looks like one here.Look at that.I mean, you see the border fence there.They're all just going around it.

And again, the head of Spain's Civil Guard is calling this absolute chaos and a brand new interview.He said, quote, It's not possible to give precise numbers, but there are thousands of migrants crossing right now.He added that the border has turned totally collapsed, quote unquote.

Yeah, it certainly looks like it.And for folks who don't know where this is, this is a small Spanish city autonomous in North Africa.It's actually in Morocco.But it it is.

So that's the question.What happens now?Are they going to try to get boats over to Spain?They should be cutting off the boats and or have a border check for any boat that leaves this enclave that goes up to Spain.Obviously, that's probably not going to happen because the leftist socialist government is welcoming this.Spain has fallen.
