S.operation in Iran?Let me know what you think.because Tehran is returning fire against countries across the region and announcing that it no longer recognizes the understandings that were reached in the Memorandum of Understanding.It appears that Iran is no longer capable of fulfilling its commitments at all.And with great fanfare, Washington is reinforcing its forces in the Middle East, including fighter jets and aerial refueling aircrafts, to such an extent that the idea

has confirmed that additional American refueling aircrafts will arrive in Israel and be stationed in the Israeli Air Force bases in the southern part of the country.So just before the entire Middle East opens a war against Tehran, Tehran is revealing new capabilities on the battlefield and the United States is concerned.I'm Yair Pinto, with me is Mati Shoshani.We're here on Boots on the Ground, where we bring you the full truth about what's happening in Israel, as well as the full truth about what's happening in our neighborhood, the Middle East.And today, today is July 19th, and this is our second report of the day.So let's begin.

President Donald Trump ordered to the United States Central Command CENTCOM to open the gates of hell on Iran, and it marks a dramatic, unprecedented escalation in the direct military confrontation between the two countries.CENTCOM announced overnight, between Saturday and Sunday, the beginning of a powerful wave of strikes in Iran, the eighth consecutive night The strikes followed Iran's repeated attacks, its violations of the Memorandum of Understanding, and the deaths of two American servicemembers in an Iranian attack on a United States military base in Jordan, in which several additional servicemembers were also wounded.The United States launched another round of strikes overnight against military targets in Iran.The United States Central Command said that the strikes were carried out under the orders of President Donald Trump and began at 11 .30 p .m.Eastern Time.

According to CENTCOM's statement, American forces struck surveillance and air defensive facilities in coastal areas, naval capabilities, and sites used to store missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles.In addition, the strikes targeted capabilities that, according to the command,were used to threaten commercial shippings in the Strait of Hormuz, as well as Revolutionary Guards forces that were accused of responsibility for attacks against American soldiers in Jordan on July 17.CENTCOM added that more than 50 ,000 American troops remain deployed throughout the Middle East.The statement said that the forces are on high alert, focused, ready for action, and fully operational.And at the same time, Iranian media reported a series of explosions and strikes in Hormuzgan province and on islands near the Strait of Hormuz.

Iran's Meher news agency reported that the sounds of fighter jets were heard over Kish Island.An additional report said that the United States military struck an area near the city of Khadjerbad in the Hormuzugan province in southern Iran.Official Iranian media reported several explosions in the port city of Bandar Abbas and on Qasem Island.Tasnim News Agency, which is affiliated with the Revolutionary Guards, reported that between three and five missiles struck different areas of Qasem Island.The agency later reported that at least six missiles struck different targets in the surrounding area.At this stage, no official statement has been issued regarding the locations of strikes, the cause of the explosions, possible damage, or casualties.

Later, the American fighter jets carried out another round of strikes on Qasim Island.At least two explosions were heard across the island, while the locations of the strikes, the extent of the damage, and the number of casualties are still under investigation.In response to the American attacks, The Iranian regime increased the pace of its strikes against various targets across the Middle East, includingKuwait and Jordan, as well as a particularly significant wave of attacks against Saudi Arabia, which was met with great anger from Riyadh.United States officials revealed that Iran has adapted to the American defensive systems and adjusted its methods of attack.The suspicion is that China and Russia are are actively assisting it through intelligence and through technology.

The Iranian military announced that it launched a new wave of drone attacks against the American targets in Kuwait during the early hours of Sunday morning.According to the statement, an ammunition depot at Camp Arifjaz was attacked, as well as facilities where soldiers were stationed and equipment was stored at Ali al -Salam Air Base.In an earlier statement, the Iranian military claimed that it had carried out a large -scale drone attack against the two American bases.According to its claims, an American ammunition depot at Camp Arifjaz was hit, as were Patriot battery radar systems and an air surveillance radar at the Ali al -Salem Air Base.And over the past weekend, two American soldiers were killed and another soldier was listed as missing following an Iranian attack on Mufak Salty Air Base in Jordan.The incident, which marks the first deaths of American soldiers from hostile fire since the beginning of April, puts to the test United States President Donald Trump's statement that he would reconsider his involvement in the war if American forces were harmed.

At the same time, it was reported that Iran used a window of approximately one month to smuggle around 70 million barrels of oil worth of 5 to 6 billion dollars, a move intended to ensure the continued funding of the campaign.This was reported today.as the Wall Street Journal issued this article.And it appears that while Tehran was negotiating an agreement to ease the tensions and reopening the Strait of Hormuz, the Revolutionary Guards used that window of time to smuggle tens of millions of barrels of oil and fill their treasury with billions of dollars.Those economic resources were immediately directed towards increased armament, military equipment, weapons, paying salaries to the terrorist regimes and also to the proxies, as the Iranians used ballistic missiles and advanced drones to carry out a deadly attack in Jordan.The attack on the Mawaf Salteh Air Base, which is used by the United States for operations against Iran, was carried out with ballistic missiles and high -speed maneuvering drones.

This is raising concerns in Washington that Tehran is receiving technological assistance from Russia or China.And amidst all of this, the Revolutionary Guards have still not launched a direct attack against Israel.The assessment is that Iran is avoiding a direct attack on Israel because it understands the consequences of Israel joining the campaign, and Israel's ability to respond with force that could crush the regime in Tehran.For now, The Americans are marking and making it clear that they want Israel to remain outside the direct involvement.And therefore, Israeli involvement depends mainly on whether Iran attacks.So Israel is preparing for rapid escalation and other scenarios and maintains a target bank of infrastructure facilities.

Israel is also preparing for the possibility that Iran may attempt to attack not only with missiles and drones, but also through ground forces or proxiesthrough Hezbollah, the Houthis, and even terrorist attacks against Israeli and Jewish targets abroad.Meanwhile, around a hundred American aerial refueling aircrafts are on their way to Israel.And at the same time, the United States embassy in Israel issued a warning and asked its citizens to reconsider travel to the Middle East and to Israel in particular due to the potential for unexpected escalation.And at this time, according to assessments, the Revolutionary Guards have ordered the Houthis in Yemen to begin blocking shipping to the Bab el -Mandab Strait.In addition, today, we will examine the strategic significance of the Houthis' takeover of the ship in the sea in recent hours.

Again, that's rebuildisraelsfarms .org if you want to help feed the people of Israel in this time of need and watch the land bloom again.And now let's go back to our senior Middle East correspondent, Mati Shoshani.Mati, after American soldiers were killed in Jordan and the United States has been striking Iran night after night, have we passed the point where this is still a response and entered an American campaign aimed at breaking the Revolutionary Guards as a functioning military force?

I think that's a great question.Here's what we really know about what's happening on the ground.One, What a couple weeks ago was an attack or an American response every day or other day in Iran has now become a nightly event when the American forces continuously attack targets in Iran.Secondly, also the nature of the targets that the US is attacking has changed from small IRGC targets here and there.We're now going after infrastructure, after bridges, after logistical supply hubs and supply lines, the kind of things that allow the Iranians to move forces in the case of an American ground attack or substantial offensive on a specific area.More than that, it seems that the U .

S.government has really taken off the gloves, metaphorically speaking, and going after full force after the type of targets that will bring down the Iranian IRGC -related economy and bring down the military capability related to the Ayatollah regime.And the way they're doing that is by substantially bombing the different targets.This is not symbolic.This is not here and there.This is substantial strategic targeting of the big targets, the kind of targets that take years to repair.

That is what the U .S.is going after when it comes to the Iranians.And this is understandable, because we've been at a stalemate, at a place of no progress with the Iranians for quite some time.where they fire and someone responds, where they fire again and someone responds.And understandably, the Trump White House has decided that that is not the direction to go, that we can't indefinitely be stuck in this ongoing low -intensity skirmish against the Iranians, this non -existent type of negotiation or ceasefire.

There's simply no progress to be made in that kind of situation.There's a clock ticking, the tempo of war has increased, the tempo of bombings have increased, and the nature of the targets has become far more significant, expensive, and painful for the Iranian regime.So let's break down what this means, short -term and long -term.In the near future, we're seeing the U .S.forces going after the type of targets that keep the Iranian regime alive, the targets that make money, the targets that connect their different logistical and warfare hubs.

the highways, the bridges, the information grids, the radar systems, the storage hubs and units for both weaponry and the logistical supply that they need to hold in power.That is also changing.But there's another element here.The U .S.has been continuously going after the coastal base targets.

Why would they do that?Well, let me tell you why they're doing that.They're doing that to prepare the option of boots on the ground in Iran.And why do I say that?Because that's exactly what they're doing.exactly what they're doing.

Let me show you the facts.The US has switched from in -depth targeting only, or all over Iran, to strategic targeting.of different assets that would allow the Iranian forces to move soldiers and equipment towards the coastal areas, and bombardment of the different targets on the coast in Iran.Why are they doing this?Because ultimately, as we've said many times, the public -facing side of this war, the most visible element in this war, is the Strait of Hormuz.And the minute that strait is open, it becomes, in the eyes of the public, a victory for the U .

S.And since escorting ships hasn't worked to open the Strait of Hormuz because of Iranian fire, and since the naval blockade and fire on Iran hasn't been sufficient to stop the Iranians from disrupting the trade, the next step, the next natural progression, is to take hold of areas on the Iranian coastline, or, and this is an important caveat here, or to give the perception that the United States is gearing up towards a land invasion or boots on the ground on the coast of Iran.Either which way, it gives the Iranians the impression that the next thing that's coming is going to be long -term damage to their infrastructure and to their control of the Strait of Hormuz.And once that happens, there's no turning back.So is this just PR?Is it just spin?

Or is there a real attempt here behind this?I'm not sure, and I don't really know who would be able to answer that question aside from President Trump at this point.And I'm not even sure about that last part.But what we do know is that the maximum pressure that's being put on the Iranians, the ongoing substantial bombing missions, the ongoing substantial hold of the coastal areas, that will ultimately take its toll on the Iranian regime and will push them into or making a substantial miscalculation mistake, or to returning to the negotiation table, or for internal pressures to change the methodology of the government or the identity of those leading the regime.government.Now let me add just one last part here.

which is that the Iranians are not sitting idly and taking this bombardment.They, too, have been going after bigger targets.They, too, have been firing against Iranian bases at a greater tempo.They, too, have been using the best of Chinese technology, the best of Russian technology, to try and dupe, to try and penetrate American air defenses in the different bases throughout the Middle East.And I want to tell you this, they've been somewhat successful.We need to give it to them.

We need to hand it to them where the credit is actually due.They've been successful because they're using the best intelligence and the best equipment that they're able to get from their allies, China and Russia, who would like to see the U .S.weakened, who would like to see the U .S.position in this part of the world somewhat undermined.

But it goes farther than that.Defense is always going to be vulnerable.There's always going to be a vulnerability.There's always going to be something that can be exploited or used or overwhelmed in the defense system, especially when you're talking about ballistic missiles and long -range defenses.changing trajectory and speed and the nature of a flight path, they can fool an air defense system that will need to relearn the type of missile and the type of trajectory that it carries.And that's, I think, what we've been witnessing in recent days.

One, the Iranians have had amazing intelligence in going after American radar systems.Two, they've been able to punch on several occasions through the American air defenses and cause harm and actual casualties to American soldiers stationed at different bases around the Middle East.Does this mean that the tide has turned in the war?It does not.But it does mean that it's not a 100 to 1 percentage of American victory over Iran.It's a substantial victory, a substantial win.

But when you're fighting a war of ongoing attrition, ultimately, sometimes your enemy too will be able to get a shot through or a couple shots through.And that's sadly what we've seen over the last days.in the Middle East.I believe the U .S.will learn its lessons, it will change, it will update, it will change the way it deploys its forces as it's done many times before, and the Iranians once again will have trouble getting through American air defenses, and the Americans will once again have overwhelming superiority when it comes to defense and attack through missiles and through airborne munitions.

And Mati, if the United States is deploying fighter jets, aerial refueling aircraft, and long -range capabilities in the region, are we approaching the moment when Iran's nuclear targets return to the center of the war, rather than only Hormuz?

I want to tell you something.The war against Iran is very much not over.Despite what many people perceive to be the situation, we're not necessarily at the twilight of the war.We are at an intermission of the ongoing war.And at this moment, the U .S.

and Israel still have sufficient strike forces in the Middle East to take dramatic, substantial, and meaningful action against the Iranian forces.More so, there's also an ongoing question over what targets should be targeted right now.And this question is being debated both in the type of attacks that are being carried out, but also in the public information that has been released and leaked, both from U .S.Central Command the U .S.

White House, and from Israel.A big topic on that list, it remains the question of the Iranian nuclear capabilities.Now, much of the Iranian targets have already been dismantled or substantially harmed.We're talking about Natanz, we're talking about Isfahan, we're talking about several of these well -known nuclear facilities.But there's more.News has been full of talk about Pickax Mountain.

this new fortification that the Iranians are building.And I want to tell you something, when you're following the news, look for the spin and look for the angle behind that press release.And I'm going to say this clearly.If you think that the knowledge of what's happening at Pickax Mountain is new to Israel or the United States, it's not.But our governments, the Israeli government and the American government, are making public of this operation, making public of the Iranian infrastructure, so the public is aware of the fact, and it's at the forefront of their mind and memory, that we need to take additional action against the Iranian nuclear program.And I need to say this in the most straightforward way possible.

The threat of Iranian nuclear missiles or nuclear bombs is real.It is viable.It is substantial.And it can never be completely terminated.It can always only be stalled, delayed, and sabotaged.And I want to give you the good news here.

Israel has been able to do this for almost 20 years at this point.So given that information, we know that it can be slowed down.but yet the Iranians are able to continuously push forward and promote their nuclear program.And it makes sense, because if you have a lot of money and are willing to sacrifice resources and manpower to try and achieve nuclear capability, you will very likely be able to achieve it.You'll buy it from the North Koreans or from the Pakistanis or steal it from someone else.Who knows where they're going to be able to get it, and yet they have not obtained it yet.

The threat is still on the table.And I want to say one more thing.There's this very limited conversation that takes place regarding what the U .S.and Israeli options are regarding the Iranian programs.There's always these, you know, exclamation mark kind of sentences.

You can't do this, or you can only do that, and there are no more options, or there only is one more option.Nonsense.In the sphere of possibility, in the realm of possibility, I can tell you that if you look back in the last 20 years, Israel and the United States and several other organizations have used an unbelievable,of sabotage, of counterintelligence, of espionage, of targeted assassinations to slow down and inhibit the Iranian nuclear program, and we can continue doing that.We've been able to recruit high -level executives from within the Iranian nuclear program time and time again, including in recent weeks, and again, this is only according to certain reports, the former president of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, a sworn enemy of the state of Israel, who has apparently been propped up by Israeli Mossad as a candidate for government replacement or regime replacement in Iran.Again, there's a whole additional conversation on that.

I'll just put that to the side for just a second.But talking about the nuclear capability and what more can happen in the war, I want to remind you guys, the goal of the war between the United States, Israel and Iran is to eliminate their nuclear capability and program.to set in place supervision of that program, to stop their proxy warfare through Hezbollah, Hamas and others, such as the Houthis in the Middle East, and to bring them into the fold of countries that operate based on international law and international norms.They haven't done any of those things up till this point, and that is why the war is still not over.And I want to remind you, the U .S.

has an enormous amount of fighting force in this region, not small, not small.not trivial, significant, substantial, with incredible force.So does Israel.And the war isn't over, and neither is the war against the Iranian nuclear program.It will only end when it's paused, or when we can once again set it back.And Israel is set, I don't know about the US, I can't speak on their behalf, but Israel is set to continue fighting until we don't need to fight anymore against the Iranian nuclear program and their desire to destroy our country.

And that makes sense.Because the actions of Trump, the actions of Netanyahu, they speak into the hands of the people.regime wants to do, which is publicly stated to destroy the state of Israel and the United States and our Western way of life.That is what they're about.They've never been deceitful about that goal.They've always been truthful, open, and public about it.

And we need to take them at their word and continue fighting, pushing, and dismantling their nuclear program.

And Mati, is Iran trying to wage a regional war without activating Israel, but as the escalation advances, could Israel itself become the final card that Iran has left to break the curse of this campaign?

is strategic in its choice of targets and choice of adversaries at any given time.And I think they came to the conclusion that right now, it doesn't make sense for them to involve also Israel in the ongoing warfare that's taking place against the United States.They've gone after different targets, the Gulf states, Jordan, several other countries in the region, to try and through them apply pressure on the US and its allies.They've done this for weeks now.targeting what they're calling U .S.

bases in Gulf states, but in reality, they're also going after some infrastructure targets in those different countries.It's all part of this scheme to really apply pressure against adversaries who don't strike back against them.And Israel is a different story.With or without the United States, when Iran engages with Israel, directly or indirectly through Hezbollah or Hamas, Israel has set the equation straight and clear in stating that we go after the source, after the root of that attack.We don't fight Hezbollah when Hezbollah attacks us.We'll defend ourselves against Hezbollah, but the retaliation will be against Tehran, because Tehran is the mastermind, the banker, the financier, and the promoter of these attacks.

And Iran knows this and has taken note, and they've realized that right now it might be the best idea not to engage Israel in this war.More so, I think they've done a recalibration of their programs and realized that the ongoing war against Israel through Hezbollah is not working to the best of what they were hoping for.And they've decided it might be better to take a break rather than breaking Hezbollah, the organization, in trying to fight against Israel, to sort of wind back and tune down their approach, their level of aggression against the state of Israel.And I think there's one more part here.Israel is not hesitant to attack Iran.Right now, if we needed to carry out an attack, there is no political element or defense element in the country that would try to stop the political echelon from carrying out a substantial series of attacks against Iran.

In fact, I would say the contrary is true.Everyone in this country wants to come and attack Iran.Everyone in this country would have full support for such an attack or retaliation against Iran, and also the political nature in Israel right now, us being in a season leading up to the election season that's supposed to take place late in October, all of that.All of that informs Iran that now might not be a good time to fight against Israel.All it would be doing was be emboldening Prime Minister Netanyahu, who's waiting for an excuse for multiple political reasons to charge an attack against Iran, as well as giving the IDF excuse to finish work on targets that we have not previously been able to fully destroy, such as some of the nuclear weapons.facilities that are being rebuilt.

You combine all of that, Iran is picking its battles currently.They're fighting against the U .S.and against the Gulf states and sending a messageto the U .S. thatS.

that their range and capabilities reach Israel by attacking Jordan.But they have not directly attacked Israel in quite some time.And you really have to read into that and understand that they don't want Israel engaged in the conflict.And for the moment being, Israel doesn't have an excuse to be part of this wave of conflict.That's not the end of the world for us.We're fighting a multi -decade war against Iran.

Right now we're focused on Hezbollah, we're focused on Hamas, and Iran will still be there when it's time to carry out an additional attack.

Coastal surveillance sites identify vessels and pass coordinates to missile batteries.Air defensive systems protect those launchers.Naval facilities support fast boats, drones, mines, and anti -ship missiles.The United States is attacking all these layers together.Bridges and railway lines around Bandar Abbas have been damaged.has been disrupted.

New strikes are hitting sensors, air defenses, weapons depots, and the units depending on those routes.Bandar Abbas is the center of Iran's naval activity around Hormuz.Qasem Island overlooks commercial traffic, while Sirik provides another coastal position along the Gulf of Oman.Iran's response is targeting the regional network supporting Washington.Iranian forces claim that they struck an ammunition depot in Camp Ardifjan and Patriot radar systems at the Ali al -Salem airbase in Kuwait.Those claims have not been independently confirmed.

Kuwait has reported damage to civilian energy and water infrastructure.A power generation and desalination facility caught fire.while an oil installation reported casualties and major damage.Attacking desalination can threaten daily life within hours.Jordan has become the most dangerous point in this network.The fatal strike on Mufraq Salty Air Base was reportedly the fourth Iranian attack against the American forces there within five days.

Two American service members were killed, one remains missing, and four wounded personnel were treated and then released.Earlier attacks reveal the pattern.One hit a residential compound at the King Faisal Air Base.Another damaged the Black Hawk helicopters at an eastern base.A previous strike on Mafuak Salti wounded approximately 20 personnel, rushing into shelters.Yan appears to combine the ballistic missiles with one -way attack drones.

Drones arrive lower and slower, while ballistic missiles descend at extreme speed.Launching both together divides the radar attention and forces defenders to use different interceptors.under intense time pressure.American officials are examining whether Iran received foreign assistance with targeting or guidance.Concerns have focused on China and Russia, but no public evidence has established direct involvement.Iran has clearly improved its ability to challenge the defenses that are protected the sensitive bases.

refineries.These obscured the connection between the original shipment and final buyer.That revenue gave Tehran an economic buffer before the naval blockade returned.There's no public evidence linking specific payments to specific missiles.However, the money strengthened the regime, facing sanctions, damaged infrastructure, and the enormous cost of regional war.The agreement creating that window is now collapsing.

Tehran suspended its commitments under the June 17 Memorandum of Understanding.A written statement attributed to Mustafa Khamenei called President Trump's signature worthless and promised the United States unforgettable lessons.Mustafa Khamenei still has not appeared publicly.One regional report claimed that he's outside Iran and that senior Revolutionary Guards figures are drafting messages in his name.That claim has no independent confirmation.His absence nevertheless creates a command problem.

Civilian officials can discuss diplomacy, but military retaliation is increasingly associated with the Revolutionary Guard's commander, Ahmed Vehidi, and the security establishment.The longer Khamenei remains unseen, the more authorities shift towards armed commanders.Iran has also lost part of its leverage over Saudi Arabia.Pakistan warned Tehran that Houthi attacks on the kingdom would be treated as attacks on Pakistan.Islamabad signed a mutual defense pact with Riyadh and has personnel positioned near the Saudi -Yemeni border.The warning does not prove that the theories about the secret American plans are true.

But it changes Tehran's calculations.Striking Saudi energy infrastructure could create pressure from a nuclear -armed neighbor.on Iran's eastern frontier, while American forces attack from the west and from the south.The Houthi front is already heating up.Yemen's internationally recognized government struck the runway at Sana 'a airport to prevent an Iranian aircraft from landing.The plane diverted to Hudaydah and the Houthis answered with ballistic missiles towards Abakh airport in southern Saudi Arabia.

Houthi leader Abdel -El Malik al -Houthi then threatened Saudi airports, ports, and oil facilities.His forces received Iranian weapons and expertise, but they also preserved their own political and tribal interests.that makes their decisions dangerous and not always fully predictable.That distinction matters when evaluating the chemical tanker Asana.Armed men boarded the vessel in the Gulf of Eden, and current maritime assessments point towards Somali pirates rather than the Houthis themselves.The incident is serious, yet it's not evidence that Tehran ordered that seizure.

And Israel is watching every front because Washington currently once the Israeli air force outside of this direct campaign.But Israel is maintaining high readiness and preparing targets if Iran attacks.Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned that another Iranian strike would bring a far more powerful response.The American buildup gives that warning additional weight.F -16s from the 488th Fighter Squadron in Germany and F -35s from the 48th Fighter Wing in Britain are moving towards the region.Additional aerial refueling aircrafts are being positioned in Israel and elsewhere.

Tankers do not reveal the final target, but they reveal the required distance.They let fighters approach from different directions, remainlonger, suppress air defenses, and return for additional missions.This is infrastructure for sustained air warfare, not one retaliation strike.The battle is no longer confirmed to Hormuz.It now runs from Jordan's air bases to Saudi Arabia's border and the shipping lanes of Yemen.
