I am back as the host, TJ, having a break at the moment.It was all about Scotty Pendlebury yesterday, so we'll get into that.Zayn Dersma today, Wicks on the handle today, Mediocre's back, Lorto's deep dive, all the great segments as I introduce this amazing panel.And I tell you what, the kangaroos are up and about, Damo.I told you they were coming, and they are going well.

I have got the 27.double coat out, Brownie, that Keith Gregg's back out.Hey, big two hours coming up with you as host, because I love seeing the way you seize these TJ -less moments as host.So what do you reckon, Lordo?Big two hours for Brownie?

Yeah, even myself, Dame.I was watching Collingwood and Pendles, and I started getting emotional.I was thinking, what's making me so emotional?It was you hosting today.

I think it's where you want to be.

It's where you should be.

We don't have an off the top of funny for the king of comedy, so Lordo's trying to go with some stuff.

I was going to say, Lordo, what made you more emotional, that or the fact that Pendles is making a stack of cash for him?Sometimes you've got to be happy for people.

Actually, I got something sent from TJ, it was going to be on you.I declined it, that wasn't up to scratch.Let's get into the results.

They reminded everyone they're going to be there about yet again.The Eagles were really gallant against Collingwood in Pendlebury's milestone match.They fell short.And Carlton's two straight now under interim coach Josh Fraser.

And we'll look at the latter.And as you mentioned, the latter leaders in Frio.10 in a row, unbelievable.Geelong, I think, will solidify a top two spot.They're going to keep dominating the rest of the year.If I look at the top six, I think Gold Coast might slide out.

Brisbane will go in.I'm not sure where Adelaide sit at the moment, neither.And Collingwood, they'll keep fighting for that top 10.We go to the bottom half of the ladder, the Bulldogs are north.The Kangas.The Kangas, yeah.

Kanga, Kanga, Kanga.Gee, that was good on the weekend.But Carlton, what can Carlton do for the remainder of the year and where can they finish?It's going to be a great watch and poor Essendon.Down the bottom of the ladder, Brownie.

We couldn't start anywhere else other than the MCG yesterday.The record -breaking game.4 -3 -3 to Scottie Pendlebury.And apart from maybe Nick Dacost, they might have coughed this one up, Lorto.

Brownie, it was done really well, I thought, by the club and the AFL.Damon, really classy, wasn't it?It was.Start to finish.

21 years in the making, and then they nailed that moment right here.10 minutes into the first quarter, the acknowledgement of him, the fact that they actually paused play.It was fortuitous that a behind had been kicked, but the fact they stopped it, Lorto, was brilliant.The way that man himself conducted himself.all week in the lead up to the game, pre -match and then post -match, just getting amongst it.

What a moment for not only Pendle's family, but the fans like that.That'll be a moment edge in time for them.They'll never ever forget that moment, the show they put on, the fireworks at the end.The gold numbers for everybody.The gold numbers for players.How good is a player to have a gold numbered jumper?

Incredible, incredible scenes at the G. Yeah, it was and absolutely loved it and Scott Pendlebury deserved every accolade he got this week.But what I loved most was the second stoppage of the game, Lordo.How good was this?Harley Reid v Scott Pendlebury.You've got the old man vs. the penalty.Just bang, get away.

And then the best thing about it was they got together and then Scottie Pendlebury got him back as well.Lined him up, put him over the boundary.And I think that's an underrated part of Scott Pendlebury's career.Everyone talks about how classy he is, how good he is with the football, how good his football IQ is.But playing so many years against him, Rory, he is as tough as they come as well.

I've never seen him go in that hard in 400 games.

That's why he's played so many.Would that be the pride in him?That he'd get embarrassed earlier and he goes, I want to make up for it?

I've never seen that from him before.That was amazing.It is.And I reckon he lied to him, like he knew.He was, I'm going to pick a moment today and I'm going to get you on.

I'm not sure where it's going to be, but there will be one.There were some shaky moments, as we've already touched on, with how the game unfolded.And some of those were linked to the injuries that Collingwood sustained.Darcy Moore, yet again, has gone down with soft tissue.And this is the more serious one, though, that happened late in the last quarter with Jamie Elliott rolling that knee.The club itself has yet to diagnose publicly what that means, but we saw the game stop for a long period of time.

He was taken off on the rolling stretcher and you just knew with the way he reacted and his teammates reacted that there was a serious issue.Captain Darcy Moore here, prior to halftime hurting that hamstring again.It was only his fourth game of the season.He had a really injury interrupted passage through 2026 and given he was subbed out of the game at halftime.he's going to be again missing.Major drama for Collingwood in an injury perspective.

The Jamie Elliott one, Lord, I'll come to you because you've got a bit of a story, but I've never seen someone go down with a knee and it looks like an ACL, but it must be a pretty bad one given he had to get on the green whistle.

Yeah, so the example I had on that, we're talking about pre -show, was Max King, year 12 at Halebury, round one, and he knee buckled from under him and he was shivering and shaking through the pain for hours after the game.And we couldn't move him and the reason why he'd done his ACLall the damage around the ACL he'd also done so instead of missing 12 months he missed 16 months so it was cartilage it was all sorts of things around the ACL which made the pain still there so that's what you presume he's not just done the ACL but he's done so much around it as well.

but the Cats very, very hard to beat at home.

Oh, and their second quarter, Brownie was an absolute clinic.They took away the corridor, but they're finishers.They've just got class everywhere.I mean, Jez is in a league of his own when it comes to goals inside forward 50, but they had danger kicking them from the boundary as well.Jez had kicked another one from the boundary.Atkins on the left foot here.

Manor hit the scoreboard.They put on a clinic.They took away the corridor as Wardle touched on in a sec, but then they used it themselves and they moved the ball with speed and did what Sydney have been doing to everyone.every other team at the moment, Walter?

Yeah, and it's not the first time they've done it this year, it's not the first time they've done it in the past 15, 16 years of Chris Scott coaching.They just continually beat the best teams in the competition.So, prior to yesterday, they've already taken down Fremantle, they've already beaten Brisbane, they've now beaten Sydney, and their one point loss to Hawthorne back on that particular Easter Monday game might even have been their best performance of the year, despite it being a loss.So, they're going to be there about yet again, Brownie, as they Chris Scott, amazing coach.

Last week against Brisbane he took out obviously Fletcher and also Harris Andrews and the type of moves.Yesterday he had four rucks go up against Brodie Grundy to help with that but he also put Jack Martin to Nick Blakey and they shut down the corridor.Here's Bailey Smith speaking of that after the game.

massive focus you know the number one handball meters gained and number one coming through the corridor um off rebound defense so and they just give it to you know Blakey and almost say make it up so that was the focus of ours um Jack Martin went to him and and yeah we just really wanted to patrol the corridor if they're going to get anything they get it out wide and going to try and go fast um that way butwe're not going to let them come through the corridor and I thought they doubled down on that in the second half and tried to take those kicks and we were on it so got a lot of those turnovers and yeah they're a great side so it's one thing doing it now we want to do it in September so that's the main thing.

So Sydney have some answers.Dean Cox has to come up with...Okay, the competition's gone to school on us.It was Collingwood last week where they got 33 points up and now it's Geelong.So just a bit of vision here.So they say you can go as wide as you want but we're not giving you the corridor.

So that's obviously on turnover.They just punished them in that.They pressured it.So I said I'm just saying what's Dean Cox going to do?So this one was a ripper.So you see Humphrey.

He says...In recent weeks, players were getting drawn out to that, whereas Humphrey's saying, you can take it, I'm going to stay corridor and we are going to punish you on the way back.So it's how Sydney can be better defensively.What can Sydney do to counteract that?Do they need to take the wider one?Take the wider one and predict, because this is what Geelong cut off.

And in the end, 32 scoring shots Geelong, they had on the day demo as a result of just punishing.

So you've been saying for a couple of weeks now, the Swans have been exposed to the public or the wider public.with what they've been doing.Is there a problem now for them?

Just on the Sydney front then, how would you adjust?They love the corridor and everyone knows they love the corridor.How do you adjust to it?

I look at Brisbane and Geelong and they've got a really good balance of both.When they can turn the ball over high they can go quick through the corridor so it's probably not trying to force it from deep in your defensive half.I think in deep in defensive half that's where you can chip mark and you can go around and then when you're up in about the mid part of the ground you can look to dart back in the corridor and use the speed off there.So you're just going a bit quick.Yeah, going a bit too quick and trying to force it at times.

And you need different modes.So GMHBA, skinnier than and because if you tag him inside he gets you on the outside with his run but if you put a runner on him he can get the runner inside as well so I know there's always a lotabout Bailey Smith and his off -field stuff as well.But I just love what he's bringing to the football field at the moment.

Well, let's head to Marvel Stadium.They say a week is a long time in football.A quarter was a long time in football for the Gold Coast Suns yesterday.The Kangaroos, 43 points down Damo.And they came back and they did it so well.A big win for the football team.

Yeah, they did, Brownie.And again, you have been on them all year.And I'm yet to pick up on it.And maybe I start leading too.Because this was a 43 -point come from behind win.win and you mentioned about a week being a difference.

They were humiliated last week with 10 goals by the Adelaide Crows in a quarter and 13 in a row.But these are genuine scenes of emotion here, Isaac, as they celebrate this win from this big come from behind situation that they've been in.So it's the first time they've beaten a team significantly above them on the ladder.It's a great franking of what they have been about.

Well, what they've done a few times this year as well, Damon, I know you're struggling to buy in.I really like the improvement of North Melbourne.I've been on them all year.But what they are doing is they're getting a lot of momentum changes in games.And this young group are able to turn it.And we're seeing the best of LDU.

George Wardlaw was huge in that last passage of play as well.But Finn O'Sullivan to me is their most important player at the moment.And I genuinely love what North Melbourne are building.And you've got to be patient because they are young.I know they have some older players.But they're building and they're going to show a bit in the next 18 months.

Bravery comes in many forms but in this case it came in running.Gut running and also using the footy in the last quarter.So they go back here and this is Caleb Daniel.So much maligned Caleb Daniel since he's gone from North Melbourne.Have a look at where he is right here.He is the last player in the chain.

Have a look at every Gold Coast player ahead of him right now.This is a slow build up.They're using the ball nicely, the Kangaroos, but Caleb Daniel keeps running.Here he is still running past people.So he's at the back of the screen still, but the only one that wanted to run to get this ball.So that's bravery to run and get the first one when they're 26 points down.

So they get the first one and all of a sudden things start to move.This is bravery with the football.Davies youThe easy handball, as I pause it, is out here.He's got a player on his own out here, steps back into the traffic, brings it back into the middle, and away they go.So bravery with the ball use.

And as they started to build, again, this isn't perfect from Caleb Daniel, but when you're behind, the bravery to put it into the middle, almost get it, and then they run, and they find something happens when you're brave with the football.Not super with the football, but you've got to be brave, you've got to be calculated.another good ball inside forward 50.But the last quarter was so many.This is the one from Luke Parker.This is the most amazing kick in football right now.

If you can kick the 45 into the middle and you can play on with a handball, that is footy in 2026.And they did it so well.Davies Uniac over 50 metres.We won't show the handball that Larkey gives off here, but they kicked the goal again.And then this one, we're going to take Dezain Dersma.He's coming on the handball, but he still needs to make the right decision.

So There are so many options there.Has to make the right decision.He makes the decision where three players are focusing in and I just thought the bravery to run and the bravery of the football got him over the line in the end.

That sequence is again, unfortunately for the Gold Coast Suns, potentially in play.

Can't see them winning too many games.Just on that, Isaac.Scenario training.So that would have come into play.What Brownie's saying about when you get down like that, you've just got to go.And then also to sight save a game.

How much did you get into that at Geelong?

Oh, well, I think to me, other than once your fundamentals are set, that the scenario training is the most important part of football training.And what I love most about North Melbourne, you could see that the Gold Coast Suns with about 20 minutes to go were out on their feet.And what I love most about North Melbourne was LDU kicked that goal and they lost thecentre clearance that gave them a chance with a minute to go but they still had their system in check and it took a couple of great efforts from Wardlaw and Fino -Sullivan and these type of guys and then Sheazle gets the ball, spots Derzma but their system was still going so they trained the scenario and yet they knew they wanted to get the ball to the open side so players were already breaking before Gold Coast could even make the decision and that was the most impressive part of North Melbourne yesterday.

on is played to this point of 2026.It does Brownie.

I thought they were incredibly flat early before.They got the injuries.

Yeah, you could argue that as well.I mean, I reckon they would be flat having at that stage a 1 -9 scoreline being taken into the game.So losing to Richmond as they did, it's a disastrous outcome for everyone attached to that footy club and the people who need to make the decisions.With Brad Scott as coach now, one win only in the past calendar year of performance.Contracted for 2027, that needs to be part of the discussion, but there's a buy coming up at the end of that term.match and I would imagine this footy club as football clubs Do it would be discussing the entirety of this whole program surprise you if he went over the by David It's not gonna surprise me now No, no and given that they've now brought Craig buzzer would discuss this in the agenda section of the show later on But they've brought him back in to oversee the entire operations of the football department, how it looks from a professional perspective.

So there's a lot going on already behind the scenes.

This is just fundamentals.

What I loved about Richmond the other night was how they built it up like a final.So these young players aren't going to play finals, they're going to play huge games.But I thought their anger and their attack on the football and their attack on the player, particularly when they kicked goals and they gave it to the Bombers as well.I think it was Steely Green who was in the face of Mark Terry, he kicked the goal.Then Tom Lynch was asking what your number is. I just thought it was a great display from a young, precocious side.They're going to go places in a couple of years.

They're not going to play finals this year or probably next year.But I certainly loved the way they went about it.responded on the back of what Adam Uzay asked them to do.

They did, and Tom Lynch, he was the most important player on the ground.Stats might not show that he was the most important player.

to do better shape around stoppage, around contest, which what happens when you win the ball gives you more options to use it by hand.So these guys are all holding their lanes.They're not collapsing.They're not all coming in and trying to win the ball themselves.They're holding out.This one here, again, this is from CB, but this is slick hands.

They want to use the ball.They want to run.They want to carry.They want to go forward.That's been a huge shift.They want to take the game on.

They want to go forward at the game.The other one is from slow ball.They want to go corridor.They want to hit that kick as we showed with Luke Parker before.That's a risky kick, but execute it.and Normick comes off, they go down and kick a goal here.

But this is where I've been most impressed.This is the biggest change.You can't all collapse.Early in the season, every Carlton player would collapse.Three players holding outside space, outside width to get to the receivers, cut off the receivers, get the ball, get on that loose ball.That's been the biggest shift.

They're no longer so invested in the contested ball.They're also invested in those loose ball gets and holding a better shape and better balance on the outside.

Just on that Rory, they didn't score that much from clearance last night to your point.They scored and punished off turnover which is a different sort of game.

And that's the ones you've got to be able to do.You've got to be able to score from turnover and higher up the ground in your front half.

club.They had a really solid win against Western Bulldogs last week and then obviously last night against Port Adelaide and that man on screen there has now got those matches upcoming.Two before the bye and then GWS West Coast, Richmond after it.It's not apart from the Geelong assignment there, Lordo.The most daunting of matches upcoming.Look, he's not going to be getting this main permanent job

as Carlton coach.He's said that himself, Josh Fraser, and Graham Wright, I believe, will go down a different path, an equally untried path, but not the Josh Fraser one.But he's not doing himself any harm with what he's shown in the fortnight already.

He seems to have a Stephen King -like temperament, where he'd be, anyway, it's only early for him, but he's doing a fantastic job.Well, Josh Carr, they're just so hot and cold.Jekyll and Hyde, this is what Port Adelaide are.You don't know what you're going to get.And he's just one of those He didn't care.He just stopped.

You can see he probably hadn't planned to do it because there's line meetings going on, there's other blokes grabbing a drink and he has just got in the firing line.It's one of those ones you want to be ducking in a side door.

against the Saints and it's happening late in games at the moment, which is really impressive, the gears that the Dockers can go to.

And the confidence and belief they have, Nath.Like, you know, as I said, the Hawthorn was just destructive in the last quarter and this was destructive.This was brave from St Kilda.They lost all of their forward line pretty much Bar Shaman leading up to the game.So it was a pretty good fight by them.But I just love what Fremantle believe.

They go to the Gabba this week.So if they can go on and beat Brisbane at the Gabba, they are genuinely, I think, should be premiership favourites.if they can win against Brisbane this week.

There's a fascinating by play within the game that being Patrick Vos playing on Callum Wilkie and it got really physical and they both stood up and performed but then the by play reached off field as well.Ross Lyon you're about to hear in the halftime part of the game after he'd witnessed what had happened then Justin Longmuir and then Ross Lyon again post -match.

We're hoping the upper blow the whistle.I'm not sure why they let it go, but I think it's settled down.

Jamie Graham felt that if Vossi could get in behind him and own his back, that was the way to play him.And then clearly, I would imagine Kel wants to play from behind and then be able to read the play from there.So things happen, I guess.I didn't see any of the wrestling and that type of thing, but that was the instruction to Vossi and he executed it really well.

I mean, the upper was right there.So if they don't pay it, it must be within the laws and the spirit of the game.In the end, I think it'd become a non -issue.I thought it was a bit of a flaw show, but each to their own.

You understand why Ross has got an issue there, I think, Lord.Equally, you can understand why Justin Longmuir is so proud of what Patrick Vos is doing.He did a similar role against James Cicely a couple of weeks ago.He's hit the scoreboard again against Kyle Wilkie with three goals.He's playing his role within that forward line dynamic.

I think you've noted what you just said there.There should have been a few more free kicks to Wilkie because you can't just bare hug him and hold him off the ball like that.But you just admire how Vos has been given a job and he has just done it.I love it.

I love the fact that Freeman went down that angle.I can't believe that Ross Lyon, some of the players he's sent out over the years, He's complaining about that.Stevie Baker.I think Windhager does a little bit at the moment.Hugo Garcia at the start of the week.So I think Ross will be going, geez I'd love someone who can do that now.

But in another game, with another umpire, in another set of circumstances, you can see an umpire paying free kicks against the action.He's put it on the agenda and it was smart by Ross.

You need to pay one of those early and then that'll set the scene for the day.

Welcome back to the Sunday Footy Show.It was a big win for the Cats against the Swans yesterday down at the Catterham being good enough to join us by Jack Henry.He was very good again yesterday.Jack, welcome to the Sunday Footy Show.

Hey guys, how are you?

Yeah, good mate.As Damo pointed out at the start of the program, you continue to beat the best in the business and another one knocked off yesterday.

Yeah, it was a good win.Sort of the end of a good month for us really.They're such a good team, the Swans this year especially.It's a nice scalp to take, so all the boys are pretty happy.

Yeah, there's the scorecard there.Jeremy Cameron 3, your brothers kicked 2 -2, Brad Post 2 -1, Holmes, Humphreys and Smith all had plenty of the footy.And Amati, great return for him, kicking 4 goals.this season?

Yeah, I think so.It doesn't feel like we're relying too heavily on individuals.And, um, yeah, even though, like the stars are doing well, as you can see in the spreadsheet there, but, um.Yeah, no, we're going really well.Have a nice even spread.So, yeah, the boys are doing well.

Even though you're always seen to be preliminary final or grand finalists each year, it just must give you great confidence what you've done the last couple of weeks.You know, you've had a couple of bad games this year against Gold Coast and Port, but to take down Brisbane and Sydney the last two weeks must do wonders for your confidence.

Yeah, it does actually.Yeah, I think, yeah, last week was good, just an away win against Brisbane.That's just, you know, was a pretty crucial one because we have a pretty tough fixture and getting those wins and this one as well last night, they're pretty big to help set up the season.So, yeah, it's really good.

And as you said, Jack, all your stars are in ripping form.Max Holmes, outstanding again, Bailey Smith, but Max in particular, he's so versatile.You can have him play through the midfield, you can push him back.We've seen him half forward at times.He's a pretty handy player to play with.

Yeah, Holmes, he's a star, so you can't have him anywhere, really.Yeah.

Where's his best footy, do you think?

I think he's a star at midfield, to be honest.The way he moves is incredible.I think for us, having the ability to play, he plays in different positions and play around to help.the team in any sort of particular week is a huge trade, so him being able to do that for us is just massive.But yeah, he's probably a midfielder.

Yeah, he's gone really well, Osh.I think we're trying to reward him a little bit on the offensive end, because, like, you know, every week he's just gonna, you know, take that best match up and really do a good job for the team.So, yeah, it's nice when you can sort of see him link up in the offensive chain as well, because he's very capable of that.Yeah, he's again similar to sort of lost and he's just going to get better and better.And yeah, such a good player for the team, such a good asset.

Brodie Grundy's put his hand out for all Australians so far this season, probably the premier Ruckman in the competition, but you went with three Ruckman against him yesterday.They ran him into the ground and I thought you got the job done at the end of the day.

Yeah, for sure.Yeah, I think that's probably something we'd like to do.is when we do have those, you know, really good ruckmen in, like we like kind of work them over with a few of the guys.So, yeah.No, it's pretty, yeah, it's nice that we can kind of have that ability to put a few guys, spin a few guys through there and yeah.make it hard for those star ruffmen.

Okay, let's get into that.Straight up after the break, you're watching the Sunday Footy Show.

This morning's Deep Dive, we're going to look back at the 2004 preliminary final between Port Adelaide and the St Kilda Football Club at Football Park.And just to set up this game, Port Adelaide had only lost one game at Footy Park and that was a showdown to Rory's Adelaide Crows.An average margin of 56 points, they'd won all of those games by on average and they'd also belted the Cats by 55 points in the qualifying final.So it was a big game and St Kilda jumped out of the blocks in the first quarter of this prelim and it was that man, the G -Train.who was just electric in this period.He was the most powerful forward in the game.

He kicks the first goal, gets St Kilda underway.and he needed two goals for his 100 and this is the G -train when they had all the momentum going back and kicking his 100 and you hear Tim Lane in the commentary say I don't think this is going to help St Kilda Day because they've got all the momentum but there is St Kilda fans going to enjoy the moment.

And then that momentum stopped when he was forced from the ground with the help of security guards.Lordo he has famously spoken about going to take a toilet breakopportunity within that.You can see the crowd on the game.Stevie Baker's old man was in there.He was out there doing some celebrations as well.

Look they regrouped okay and again It didn't affect Gary Glordo because he then kicked three more goals beyond that point before halftime.At halftime he'd had five in the game for 103 for the season.Now he didn't score a goal after halftime but he went into that final series in immense form.He kicked six the previous week in a semi -final against Sydney.So he had 11 in the six quarters leading into halftime of this particular game and here is one of those five that he did kick in that first half.

You say momentum, it definitely changed because Gary kicked over and then I think Paul came out and kicked the next couple and got a roll on and then it was Tredders, the port captain that stood after.He's a superstar.He's a superstar, yeah.Superstar of the competition this time and Max Hutchson just... losing some body at that point.I wonder if he was the best matchup for him at that time.Max was definitely a float in, third man style, come in from the side, but Tretters with no body on him was just...

So we'll see.I just feel the entire industry is hoping that Jamie Elliott does get a good result there from what looked a really serious left knee injury yesterday.He's had a history of injury problems, as has Will Day, is he?And I raise that because he's now been back for one game through the VFL on this particular weekend.His latest setback has been a continuation of shoulder problems, which he's had previously.And as we know, he's missed the 2024 and 2025 final series with serious feet issues as well as shoulder problems.

But now that he's got one game back, albeit in the Back to AFL next week.

Well you could easily bring him in, it all depends on how they want to ease him in.Hawthorne you just want to keep winning games if you will day and they just want to have him firing for September because he is a player that can genuinely be the difference in big games and big moments.He's their smoothest mover, best user, maybe smartest footballer through the midfield.as well.You just don't want to see him go down again.A bit like Jamie Elliott, but it's great for Hawks fans to see Will Day up and going.

You covered the North Melbourne Gold Coast game at Marvel Stadium yesterday for Triple M and I know you've got some views on umpiring, so too does Sons coach Damian Hardwick.

I've said this before, the game of AFL is the hardest game in the world to umpire.If you go back to 1984, I'll challenge you to do this, go and have a look at the rule book then compared to the rule back now.Good luck.We've got four umpires and every person's interpretation, mine and yours will differ, mine and yours will differ.It's very, very tough.So, end of the day.

Don't look at the umpires, let's look at the rulebook and let's figure out what that looks like.

Well yeah, and it's the way I love watching footballers play.It's tough, it's old school.And for him to have that sort of impact late in the game shows how good of a leader this kid is and the amount of upside that North still have.

But you're right with the history he's got with injury problems to step up in that last quarter of that game.just further testament to what he's going to become, isn't it?

It's unbelievable.He's a future leader in the weighting.

And it's those guys who have played around that.I don't know how many games he would have only probably played less than 50, whereas O'Sullivan's in the next wave where he's closer to that 100, 50 to 100.

So when you get guys like that, I'm not sure what this vision is. I think we've got some media connection.

Well, I think the beauty for the Demons at the moment is they're winning through different sources, and they've got that young midfield you might touch on in a second, but Uh oh.just I just love what the demons are doing and they're playing selfless footy, they're playing aggressive football and just so different to what we saw last year.

And two sides in different stages of the season.Dees are flying and the dogs unfortunately have got a few injury concerns.Roy, who are you putting under the pump this week?

And this week it's going to be the Bulldogs midfield group.He's going to be extremely under the pump, especially with Max Gaughan being in such great form.Who are they going to ruck?So Max Gaughan's been in all Australian form.Does Rory Lobb come in again?Does he ruck?

Well if the Demons continue to play the way they've been playing the last month, there's no chance they'll win.The thing that Luke Beveridge will do though is he'll mix it up.He'll throw some different looks at Stephen King and they'll have to make some decisions.

Sometimes when you're up against a dominant ruck it actually makes the job a little bit easier for you.You know you're not going to get much hand on it so your whole job and your sole job is just to read the opposition rucks tap and that can become a bit easier for you.

Did you have the belief that you guys could come, score next and didn't have to score right then and then, but you could score next and just slowly chip away at the league?

Yeah, that was pretty much it.chip away at them and it came really strong in that last quarter when we put on a few goals.Peppering them late in that last quarter was the goal and we did it well.

It's been fine.I'm playing AFL footy.I'm living out my dream.I missed the draft.I went in the rookie draft.It's been pretty unbelievable.

The win against Melbourne, Gather M, was unreal.I think we needed that and hopefully there's more to come.

Not really, to be honest.Couldn't really hear it through the mic, but yeah, it's disappointing.He's a great player and he deserved the award.

With your win yesterday, was it raised at all the Darwin trip?Was it raised at all, OK, we can get these blokes to be in Darwin for two weeks, it's been spoken about by Harvard?

It was touched on, but that wasn't really the focus.It was more our ball movement and how we defend.I think that was more the go for how we were going to beat the Suns in the end.

And I was coached by Clarke for a decade, half -time.I'm not sure he would have been too happy.

I don't think he was too impressed at half -time.There wasn't really a spray.It was more of a demanding speech.Is there one question you could ask without bringing it back to yourself?

I think just finding out that balance in the next year or so will be the goal.I'd love to attend a few centre bounces later in my career as I get a bit bigger, a bit stronger, a bit fitter.But yeah, that's probably where I'm going to stay for the minute.
