Can you DeCloud Glass Putty?

Is it possible to de -cloud glass putty?You see, glass putty upon opening is literally crystal clear, but through a combination of air bubbles and the natural oil emitted from our hands, over time the putty can become cloudy.

But supposedly this can all be fixed by just letting the putty take a quick nap, but I don't know, maybe I did something wrong.
