Canadians Have Had ENOUGH of US Attacks Over Wildfire Smoke

Okay, so I think we're all aware that Ontario is burning right now.Communities are being evacuated.People are being forced to leave their homes by boat.And it should be a time when, like, friends and allies rally behind each other and help each other out.I mean, that's what we did for the U .S.

when one of their richest zip codes was on fire.But the short clip I'm going to show you right now, this is happening right now in Ontario.Holy crap.

Tonight, the terrifying moment of fast -moving wildfire suddenly engulfed a train.

This could potentially overtake us here.This is getting a little scary.

This video recorded by the anxious crew in rural Ontario, Canada, Monday.

OK, y 'all need to hurry up here.Like, seriously, we're encased in flames now.

The company says everyone on board was safely rescued from the area.And train operations are temporarily suspended.

I mean, what you're seeing right now, this is no laughing matter.And it's not something that Canada can help either.But, I feel like we're going through Groundhog Day again, because this happened last year as well.And what I'm talking about is the self -centered, arrogant messages that we're getting from south of the border.Because we're now seeing some Republicans in the United States Congress complaining that our smoke is ruining their summer.Again.

I mean, seriously, you got Canadians worrying about whether or not they have a home.And then you got these Republican politicians worrying that their summer is going to be ruined.Like, seriously, fuck off.But in this video, I'm going to go through the pain that Canada is going through right now.And I'm also going to show the other side as well, which is the comments and the tweets and the messages that we're getting from the US.Todd Maffin created a video on this, and I congratulate him in our Discord server.

And this here is now a closer look at where those wildfires are burning right now.As of last night, there were 136 active fires in the northwest.The symbols in red show the most extreme fires, and a big concern is the winds.They are coming from the northwest and areNow, these are situations that nobody wants to be in.

It's not like we're asking for the wildfires.But these are natural disasters that are happening because, like, you know, the earth is getting hotter.And I mean, it's not like Canada is not doing anything.And what I think the United States doesn't understand is how big Canada actually is.

Now one First Nation north of Thunder Bay has been completely destroyed by those fires.The CBC's Sheehan Desjardins is in the city at a hotel housing evacuees and she has more on the impact on the community.

I'm really trying my best right now not to blow up on the U .S.Congress members that are complaining because I want to give the story of Canada first, but it's really tough.But don't worry, I am going to blow up on the congressmen later, so stick around for that.But what's more important to me right now is that these communities are safe and that everybody gets out without harm.But I'm not going to pretend to know what these Canadians are going through because I don't.

And I do feel for every Canadian that's lost their home and community.And I am thinking of ways that the GTL community can help out.I have a few ideas in mind, so I'll keep everyone posted.

others are staying in RVs.We did have a chance to speak briefly with some who had evacuated.We caught up with them last night.They told us they don't know how long they're going to be here, but they're really hoping for the best for their communities, keeping their fingers crossed.And there's other places in the region as well that are on alert and told to be ready to leave if they do have to go.Right now there are roughly 150 wildfires burning in Ontario and we're hoping for updates throughout the day about the efforts to contain them.

We do know that last night the Prime Minister posted on social media saying, Now, like I said earlier, it's not like Canada is just sitting around doing nothing.

But situations like this, they escalate really fast.And the more I'm actually reading about this right now, it looks like this year's wildfire season is going to be worse than last year's.I'm not discounting what happened in Manitoba last year, I'm just emphasizing how much worse it's going to be.But I want to show a quick clip from this global report, and they talk about the 10 -year average when it comes to wildfires already being broken.

Well, frankly, it's a situation that seems to be getting out of control.In terms of the number of fires we've seen, we've already broken the 10 -year average, and there's been about 130 more compared to the entirety of last year.The Northwest here is getting the brunt of the blazes.There's about 60 that are considered not under control currently, which is why we're getting these hazy conditions and thick smoke that makes it incredibly difficult to breathe.

130 more fires than we had last year.And we're only in, like, what, middle of June?No, July?And I want to emphasize on the sheer size of these wildfires.This is a current map of the wildfires that are happening in Canada.And you can see the amount that's happening in Ontario right now.

But if you combine all the wildfires that are happening in Ontario right now, it's most likely going to be larger than the size of Michigan.You know, the state that's complaining right now.And for the record, there are wildfires happening in Minnesota right now.I'm not shifting the blame, but I'm also saying that there's fires on both sides of the border.Now, I want to show this clip from CTV because they actually interview people who are affected by this fire.And I want everybody to understand the personal side of what Canadians are going through right now.

The flames are just jumping and it's very scary.

Chance Pavola and his family spend every summer at Collins First Nation, a community about 200 kilometers from Thunder Bay.He says they initially thought a fire burning nearby would bypass them, but then the winds shifted and they had little time to get out.

I was so in disbelief, I couldn't believe that the fire was burning right in Collins.

Now, I'm not a Canadian that grew up in rural Canada.I'm a Canadian that's born and raised in Vancouver, in the city.But I'm not afraid to admit it's heartbreaking seeing that the boy had to flee by a boat.But these are real stories of our fellow Canadians and what they have to do to stay safe.But obviously, none of this really matters to the Republican assholes who say that we're ruining their summer.

It was just scary knowing that people could have been left behind.

The chief of Collins First Nation says every member of her community is a hero.Everyone escaped and no one was seriously injured.

It was just a matter of minutes before my members would have died.And, you know, even during that whole time, there was no help.We had no help.They had no help and they had to do it on their own and they did.

Thousands of people in Northwest Ontario have been forced from their homes due to fast -moving wildfires.Many more have been told to be ready to leave as strong windsthreaten to make an already terrible situation worse.

So this is what Canada is going through right now when it comes to the wildfires.It's not just Canada, like, you know, sitting back waiting for the fires to die out on their own.We actually have communities that are being burned down, people being displaced from their home.It's a state of emergency, just like what happened in, like, Los Angeles last year.And while a situation like this, it should be a time where, like, your allies and your friends come together there to help out.It's like if your neighbor's house is on fire, you're going to do what you can.

You're going to call 911.You're going to try to like see if you can get everybody out.You're just going to help.But instead, it's another Groundhog Day situation.Same thing as last year.And Republicans just across the border are basically saying that they're fed up with our wildfires.

And let me read this out from the CBC article.This is the third consecutive year we've had to write to Canadian officials about a crisis that Canada has the tools to prevent and has chosen not to.Write the four Michigan, write the four Michigan Republicans, John James, Jack Berman, John Molinare, and Lisa McClain in a letter dated Wednesday.I've included pictures of these clowns for everyone to see their face.Our hospitals are once again treating children, dialysis patients and older residents of the effects of the smoke that did not originate anywhere near them.The Republican lawmakers say they are done accepting apologies in place of action and float the idea of taking cross -border fire preventions into US hands.

Sovereignty comes with a responsibility.Yeah, that's ironic coming from you.And the responsibility to prevent foreseeable disasters from crossing into the other country's airspace has not been met, they wrote.Our constituents are breathing in the consequences of this failure right now, and they deserve to be better told.And they deserve better than be told, again, that it will be handled.I don't know about everybody watching this video right now, but when someone says sovereignty comes with responsibility, and it's coming from the United States, to me that's like a big what the fuck, and they should be looking at themselves in the mirror.

But do you want to know what else is a bigger what the fuck?There's actually somebody else in the Republican Party that has a more sense of, like, reality than these people.And that person is Pete Hoekstra.Like, Pete fucking Hoekstra.And I feel disgusting saying this, but like, Pete Hoekstra actually has a better sense of, like, working together than these four congressmen that wrote the letter.Let me read out what Pete Hoekstra said.

That U .S.Ambassador Pete Hoekstra has described Canada's wildfire situation.This challenge knows no borders, said Hoekstra, who hails from Michigan, in a statement on Wednesday.This is a shared challenge, and it demands a shared response.I commend the outstanding cooperation between the United States and Canada as we confront these fires together.

Our two governments are monitoring and sharing information in real time, coordination that reflects our partnership at its best.Oh my god, I don't know, I can't believe I'm going to say this, but thank you, Pete Hoekstra, for having a level head on this.Ugh, I can't believe I said that.But I have to give credit where it's due.Because obviously these four Republicans, they're only thinking about themselves.And you know when people say that the first impression is everything?

I mean, this is the first time I've ever seen these Senators.I really don't give a shit about them.But just my first impression by looking at them, they look like a bunch of snakes.And I'm not surprised by the response from them.And it doesn't end here with these four Republican whatever they are.Senator Bernie Moreno of Ohio is gonna like create a bill to sanction Canada.

And let me read this part out for you.Another Republican blaming Canada is Senator Bernie Moreno of Ohio.Reacting to a social media post about the air quality in Cleveland, Moreno wrote, Moreno did not specify what sort of sanction he has in mind.So if you're still watching my video and you haven't ragequit yet because you're still pissed off at the US, this is what we're dealing with.This is our so -called quote -unquote friends.And

And this is what Senator Mike Rogers from Michigan says.Where the fourth summer in a row, Canada has made its wildfire smoke, Michiganers' problems, the implications are real and hazardous for you and your family.Yet zero accountability from the country that constantly pushes crippling environmental regulations.Canada has to get its act together.And as your senator, I'll make sure of that.Well, Mike, as a Canadian, I'm not sorry to say this.

Fuck off.And I want to show you this Lisa McLean hags post on X. Michiganers shouldn't have to breathe in Canada's negligence.Year after year, the smoke crossed the border while Canada does nothing.Stop exporting your smoke into our skies.Enough is enough.I don't know who this person -watcher from Canada is, but I love their response.

Midwest, Canada did not complain or threaten the U .S.Instead, they sent hundreds of hydro crews to Michigan To get the lights back on.That's what friends do.And we also didn't blame the United States for the tornadoes as well.This one's a good one.

I felt bad for saying that because when people are in need, I just want to help.I mean, I think that's what Canadians want to do.So I created a second video retracting my statement saying that when push comes to shove and when people are in need, we should help.But when you see shit like this, I really have to ask myself, when is the point when I actually give up on the United States?And I'm not talking about any others.I mean, many of you watching right now have given up a long time ago.

But for me, like I said, I felt bad saying that I wouldn't help them.It's just me as a person.I mean, I don't want to see people in trouble.But I'm going to say it right now.I think this is my breaking point.And if another 9 -11 happens, if another forest fire happens, and their richest zip code goes up in flames, I won't disagree if Canada doesn't do anything.

I know many are going to be like, you know, it's a Canadian thing to do.We always have to help no matter what.Well, should you really be helping somebody out if they're constantly abusing you, if they're constantly gaslighting you and blaming everything on you and making you out to be the bad guy?I know there's multiple layers to this, because not everybody in the United States agrees with these two idiots on the screen right now.But I have not seen any Democrats push back on this Republican rhetoric, because they're probably too busy, like, trying to get the alcohol back on the shelves.And I know some people might just say, oh, GTL, you're just worked up right now, you're just emotional.
