Carney says Canada will retaliate against new U.S. tariffs after trade talks fail

Canada is making a plan to continue retaliatory action against the US.Yes, this conversation went to the limit, and Canadian reporters have to sit at the table for the most part of the day to protect it.In the beginning of this intense period of conversation, Carney said that he was fed up with the bad compromise.

Yes, Sushant. The Prime Minister says that he is reversing the trend because the US will invest 50 % of its assets in the $28 billion Canadian investment. In a statement, the Prime Minister said that Canada has badly affected the trade and some sectors, including the aluminum, steel, auto and wood industries.Karni said in a statement that he has instructed Canadian reporters to return to Ottawa. In the conditions proposed by the United States, the Prime Minister had promised that the government would not accept any bad agreement and whatever they sign, to protect Canada, put American liquor back on the cupboards.Instead of keeping his word, Ontario's Premier Doug Ford was silent recently, and since the Prime Minister has given information to the premiers on this possible agreement, it is not clear where all this will go from here.

Thank you for tonight, Ashutosh.

The tariff will definitely be paid by the US, whether it's a business or not.The senior official has said that there is no fixed tariff.Karni has said that he has called his people back. The steps that need to be taken to bring the tariff back are too far now.So we are in a situation where Canada will take a responsible action and the US will take a responsible action. And this can make a very bad situation worse.

Last night in Canada, I saw one of the companies finish their products by the end of the month. They are going to change the prices due to the two -week tariff. There is a possibility of ordering from the US.the Americans, whom we have spoken to.They say that if this happens, they will not be able to survive. And now this has happened.

And this cycle of taking revenge is even more harmful to it.

What is the political calculation here?

I mean, this is a very important incident that will have consequences for many years to come. What happened in that room, this information increased the situation for many people and which party was responsible for it.

Thank you very much.So the main thing is that tariffs have been implemented.
