CNBC just dropped its list of the 10 worst states to live in, and I know a lot of you are not going to like who came in at number two.They based the rankings on quality of life metrics, things like crime, access to health care, protections for workers, the kind of things it says would attract workers to a state.At number 10, Arkansas, which actually moved up this year, but they got poor marks for violent crime, dead last for food insecurity.

Oklahoma, number nine, a cheap minimum wage and poor worker protections hurt the Sooner state.Alabama's eighth, poor marks for mental health providers and limited protections against discrimination.Missouri, number seven, one of the most violent states in America, according to FBI statistics, top 10 in firearm deaths, too.Utah is sixth, beautiful state, but bad marks from CNBC for health care and a low minimum wage.At five, Georgia ranked poorly for worker rights and protections against discrimination.Louisiana was fourth over health care access and violent crime rates.

Third, Indiana ranked low when it comes to child care, which makes it more expensive for families to live there.At number two, my home state of Texas.And this is weird, though, because CNBC rates Texas as fourth best when it comes to doing business.When it comes to quality of life, they ranked the Lone Star State low for health care reasons.A high uninsured rate, dead last in the country in primary care physicians per capita.And CNBC's state with the lowest quality of life?

Tennessee.One of the highest violent crime rates in the country, third highest drug death rate, and hostility toward the LGBTQ community.I know you have some thoughts.What do you think of CNBC's rankings?Would they get right?Would they get wrong?
