The worst part about being a mom is seeing your kids drift away.

See, I never go shopping for myself.I know that's hard to believe, but I literally just wear clothes that are gifted to me, which is crazy.And Deja was like, Mom, we're going to Greece.You need to buy some outfits for yourself.And you know what?She's right, and I thought to myself, it'll be a nice mommy -daughter date.

Um, that didn't last too long.So I got some outfits for myself, I still need to get some bikinis, and we had some lunch, and while we were eating, Deja was like, Mom, can I meet up with my friends?And as much as I wanted to say no, you're hanging out with me, her fortune cookie literally said, just say yes.Also, do you know they say kebab here, not kebab, which is so weird.Anyways, we met up with her friends, and I went shopping by myself.And I'm not gonna lie, I was getting a little sad.

Like, she doesn't need me anymore.She's getting older and more independent.You know what I mean?

Anyways, once she was finished shopping with Mom, She calls me and she's like, mom, let's go have dinner with Presley and her mom.I was like, oh, you still want to hang out with me?And she's like, what do you mean?I was like, I just thought you were too cool.You didn't want to hang out with me.And she's like, no, mom, just because I want to hang out with my friends by myself doesn't mean I don't want you to be a part of my life.

Like you're literally my best friend, mom.I'm always going to want to hang out with you.I know she's getting older and more independent.And honestly, that's all I wanted for her.But I'm also so happy she still wants to hang out with her mom again.
