Criminals Stole An ATM In Cambridgeshire, UK.

In the early morning hours on Tuesday, on June 16th of 2026, the Nationwide Building Society branch on High Street in Ramsey, Cambridgeshire in the United Kingdom had somebody steal an ATM.CCTV footage captured the incident taking place around 3 .15 to 3 .17 a .m.when two vehicles pulled up, including a stolen telehandler, which is like a large forklift crane -style heavy machine, where they drove it into the front of the building, rammed it multiple times, and then ripped out the ATM along with tons of debris straight out of the wall.After they ripped it out, masked thieves went in and they tried to load the cash machine into the back of a pickup truck, and then the group fled in vehicles, abandoning the forklift machine in the street.Now, reports have described this as a loss of tens of thousands of pounds, although no exact figure has been publicly confirmed.

Right now, the Cambridgeshire police are investigating and appealing for witnesses, dash cam footage, doorbell footage, or CCTV footage, and they're asking the public to to provide that if they're able to find any.

Crazy enough, the next day, thieves used the same method to rip an ATM from a gas station in Burwell, about 30 miles away, which leads me to believe that it is probably the same organization of people, probably, because they thought they got away with it before.Why not try it again?Of course, that's just speculation, but still a very bold move for criminals to steal an ATM straight out of the wall, because a lot of these ATMs have GPS trackers in them.Obviously, they've got those ink packs that if you open it the wrong way, It's going to detonate inside and get ink all over the bills.So that way people know that, hey, this is stolen money.But I don't know.
