DIML in Portland: Lobster Rolls, Shopping & Exploring

Flying to Portland, Maine from New York City was one of the easiest flights I have ever done.It was like an hour in the air.Left in the morning, we had the whole day, so let me take you along.It was at 7 .45 and we landed at 9.By the time we grabbed our bags, ubered to the hotel and dropped our luggage, it was like 9 .45.Felt like I blinked and I was in Maine.

Of course, we're vlogging for YouTube.Right at 11, we got to Eventide because I could not get a reservation and I really wanted to go.This was one of the most recommended places for me to eat.Of course, I was excited about eating all the lobster rolls in New England.I was really excited to eat all the oysters.After our nice little lunch, we strolled down to Duck Fat.

Had some poutine to go, which was perfect because right down the street was this Kombuchari.Did I say that right?The name of the place is Root Wild.It's basically a standard brewery, but they serve kombucha instead.This is the perfect place to eat our food and get a little kombucha flight.The blueberry was my favorite.

Once we wrapped up there, we stopped into a few different stores.Wanted to buy everything in this post -supply store.We did get a thing of matches.Explored more of the city.It's our first time here.And then went back to the hotel and got ready for dinner.

Put our name in for dinner and then strolled about while we waited.Stonewall Kitchen is a dream.Picked up these cutie blueberry bowls.And we also got some mustard for Andrew.At this point, we had like an hour and a half to kill before dinner.So we went to Room for Improvement and this This is my perfect bar.

It's a bit divey.It's not pretentious.The cocktails are so high quality and well thought out.We love it here.We got a little sipsy.

And then went to dinner at Scales.This place came highly recommended, especially the rolls.We got some oysters.Dinner was fabulous here.And then after, ended the night with some ice cream.From here, we're renting a car and driving down the coast.

I'm so excited for a little New England road trip.
