Diomande To LIVERPOOL! Enzo To MAN CITY!

Hello, everybody.Welcome to That's Football.I'm Mark Goldbridge, and this is your latest football transfer news.And we've got some big stories this morning.Yan Diamonde, Liverpool.Arnaud Slot, Liverpool.

And also Enzo Fernandez, Chelsea to Manchester City.It's been a big...Well, it's getting busy.The World Cup's on the horizon.Final day of the Premier League tomorrow.Champions League final next week.

But transfers are already starting.Very very quickly because next season is going to be very big for a lot of clubs.Pep's leaving Man City, Enzo Miraska's coming in.Slot looks like he's staying at Liverpool, we'll talk about that in a moment.But look, clubs need to be doing business and one midfielder that is clearly going to be a hot topic this summer is Enzo Fernandez.Now, he was suspended by his own club, not the Premier League, nobody else, just because of, you know, hinting that he might want to leave Chelsea this season.

He could be on the move.Xabi Alonso may be is somebody that could make being maybe persuading to stay, but unlikely that Chelsea will have.Well, maybe Europa League, but they're not having Champions League football this next season.So would Chelsea use Enzo Fernandez, you know, for their own means?Really, I think Enzo Fernandez to Real Madrid or Enzo Fernandez to Manchester City.And that's where we're going to start off with, because Maresca, formerly of Chelsea, apparently wants him as one of his big new signings.

And Man City will go big on their manager.They've gone big on every manager, and they're certainly not going to want Maresca to do what Slot did and basically just work with Klopp's team.Maresca will be given finance and funding to build his own team as well.And Enzo Fernandez feels like a good fit.And Man City would have the 100 million to do that.that deal.

Let's get real.And maybe Chelsea would like the £100m to do the rebuild under Xabi Alonso when they haven't got Champions League funds coming in.So logically, I don't think it's a huge step to say that Enzo Fernandes joins Maresca at Man City from Chelsea.If Chelsea decide that that's a deal they wantObviously, he'll be heading off to the World Cup with Argentina, but I think certainly that's a place where Chelsea can make a lot of money and probably not have to sell anybody else.You look at Chelsea, Cassido will still be there and the money from Enzo Fernandes allows them to bring other players in for next season and a new manager.

So I think the outgoing of Enzo Fernandes probably suits Chelsea.Whether he ends up at Man City, we'll have to see.Man City look like they're gonna get Anderson.There's some excitement in the United fan base that if they get Enzo Fernandez, they don't need Anderson.I think they'd go for both and sell Rodri to Real Madrid.I think there's a little bit of a transfer midfield high -level merry -go -round here where, you know, Rodri goes to Real Madrid, Enzo Fernandez goes to Chelsea, and then maybe Chumini comes to Man United?

Dunno.Or Chelsea, you know.But I think that, you know, there is gonna be almost a domino effect there.So watch this space.What are your thoughts on that, Chelsea fans?Would you be happy to cash in on Enzo Fernandes?

Let's see.Onto Liverpool.David Ornstein last night.Very interesting.Yandi Amonde, the exciting Ivorian Coast winger of RB Leipzig.Debut season there.

Really good.Still only 19, I think, but valued now as much as £80m, says Yamdi Amande is a leading target for Liverpool.PSG also interested, but Liverpool are firm contenders.Strong position with the 19 -year -old winger, and if player deal looks doable, club -to -club talks will follow.Leipzig would seek €100m -plus to sell.spent a lot of money on people like Wurz and Izak, and it didn't necessarily work out, but they have got to replace Salah.

And I personally think that it's probably only two replacements for Salah in world football that would absolutely work.One of them plays on the opposite wing, which is Baric Skelia at PSG, and the other one plays on the right wing for Bayern Munich, and that's Alise.So I don't think that Liverpool can do those types of deals.So, you know, saying it's a lot of money for Diamonde but everyone knows that Liverpool have got to buy a winger and I think they also have got to do it quite quickly.

So Liverpool do tend to move quite quickly, they might have to pay this money.They have got Champions League football by the way so they have got the money to do it.

There is an element of risk but maybe that's what Liverpool are going to be now.Maybe it's going to be a young Diamonde on one wing and a young Rio on the other wing.And maybe that's the future of Liverpool.Maybe they're going to be going through that little bit of a rebuild.But, you know, it feels like Liverpool are going to make that move and move for Diamonde.And he's a very exciting player.

You'll be able to see him in the World Cup for Ivory Coast, like I say.But Liverpool doing what Liverpool do, really, they do try and move quite quickly.But I would say, you know, people saying it's a lot of money.Who else are you going to go for?I mean, Anthony Gordon has been mentioned, but he could be out.He could be off to Arsenal.

He could be off to Bayern or even Barcelona.

So, you know, Liverpool need wingers.They haven't replaced Diaz.They need to replace Salah.And the good thing about someone like Diamonde is that at 19 years of age, if that works,

either got a 10 -year player or you've got a 5 -year player who you sell for huge profit.to Real Madrid or whoever.So I can see the logic behind it in a market where there's not an abundance of salary replacements, if that makes sense.

More interesting to me is that the rumours around slots were really going around on Thursday, maybe not publicly, but in the corridors of behind the scenes, whether it's the journalistic world or the agent world or whatever you want to call it, there was some discussion on Thursday about slot going and Iriola coming in.

I was sort of panicked by this because I personally think that Iriola is a super signing for whoever gets him.Chelsea have gone with Alonso, Man United have gone with Carrick, Newcastle are going to keep Eddie Howe.I think all three of those clubs could have gone for Iriola and he could have been the next big thing.

There's an element of risk, of course, and a lot of people say, well, it's a big step up, but it was a big step up for Mourinho to go from Porto.It was a big step up from Sir Alex to go to Aberdeen.You know, Klopp had a big step up, didn't he, to Dortmund from Mainz.So, and then Liverpool.

So, most good managers have to take a step up.I don't think you can say Iriola doesn't deserve a Liverpool job or a Man United job because it's a big job.You watch Bournemouth, they give everybody a game.They're a small club who give everybody a game and they're a club that play good football as well.I would be terrified if Liverpool sacked Slot and got Iriola in.I really would, especially if you've got people like Diamonde and Rio there, because I think with development, Iriola is absolutely incredible.

So that worried me a little bit on Thursday.But then yesterday, reports were back again that Liverpool are going to stick with Slot and I calmed down again.So it looks like they're sticking with Slot.

Just got to get through the next couple of weeks.Now look, with my bats football head on, you should get rid of slot.You really should.But with my Man United head on, I want you to keep him.So look, it looks like they're going to stick with him.And a lot of people have said that Xabi Alonso is at Chelsea because there was no prospect of getting the Liverpool job.

He hasn't chosen Chelsea over Liverpool.There was no prospect.the noise.And to be fair, David Ornstein, everybody has been saying that Liverpool are going to stick with Slot.So it would be a huge shock if they didn't.But I think Iriola would be a very, very, very, and also a cheap deal as well.

Let's not forget that.If you sack Slot, you've got to pay him off.But Iriola doesn't cost anything because he's left Bournemouth after this weekend.So, yeah.And look, how do you keep Slot when you've had 20 losses?Your legendary player says the football is shit and most of your team agree with it.

And then you're going to ask him to pick the pieces up and rebuild again with a load of young players.Now I'm convincing myself they are going to sack him.But anyway, on Eriola, the Telegraph are reporting that he could be heading off to Leverkusen.Crystal Palace also want him as well.And, you know, I think he's better than that.Leverkusen.

Ten Hague was in charge of them at the start of the season.Crystal Palace, you know, I think Iriola is better than that.He's put Bournemouth in Europe.Tomorrow they might be in the Champions League.So I think Iriola deserves a bigger job than that.I really do.

But whether that's going to happen or not, I don't know.
