'Doctor's orders': Today Show host Sarah Abo goes on maternity leave early | Today Show Australia

We have a little news to share with you at home this morning because of course many of our wonderful Today Show viewers have been wondering where the beautiful Sarah is and this morning she wanted us to share that while her little man isn't here just yet, last week she received a bit of a curveball with high blood pressure and she's been in and out of hospital.

Yeah, Sarah wants to let you know that she is in the very safe hands of her doctors and they've asked her to rest.So now Sarah was hoping to return to the studio to say goodbye to you all and head off on maternity leave.looking forward to saying goodbye to her but doctor's orders mean that that's not possible right now.

She is reading all of your messages she wants you to know particularly these past few weeks and it means the world to her so please keep them coming in as well.We are all eagerly awaiting your happy news says I hope you're watching at home because we just want you to know how much we love you and nothing is more important right now than what you're doing.Resting, staying safe, taking care, taking it easy and putting your health and baby's health first as well.

She is being well looked after.

She's okay.She wants you to know she's okay, but she's got to do what she's got to do right now, Jano.And as you know, it's the last few days of freedom before the baby arrives.Well, freedom.Well, feed up.I know.

I mean, look, I wish we could have had a proper, you know, maternity leave, baby shower send off for Sarah, you know, with the cake and the flowers and the Today Show onesie, even though she would have hated that fuss, probably.But, you know, she hasn't had the easiest pregnancy and I wish it had been different for her because, you know, she deserves that.But you know I said to her hopefully having a bit of a rough pregnancy means she's gonna have a dream baby And I can't wait to meet him because she's gonna be the best mom.Oh, she'll be a gorgeous and no doubt Cyrus is waiting on her right now.

I spoke to her yesterday, and she said Cyrus is doing a very good job He's making sure everything's washed cleaned at home, but she's in great spirits as well So she's just got to rest in bed, which is something that she's not probably used to She's very she's very active.She's a go -getter as we know so yeah rest and no doubt Shula.bringing the little boy in as well.Little CJ.

Well this is the rest of her life.She's on his schedule very soon, there's no doubt about it.We love you Sez, take it easy and we'll be in touch as well soon.And please do keep sending her lots of beautiful messages as well because we know it's filling her cup right now.
