Ederson DEAL Agreed! Tchouameni NEXT! Man Utd Transfer News

The United Stand214 views
0:01

Hello, everybody.Welcome to the United Stands.I'm Mark Goldbridge. This is your latest Manchester United transfer news.I told you I'd be back at eight o 'clock, and it's a bloody good job I was, because there are some big updates coming in in the Man United transfer world.Fernandes, Chumini, Edison, lots to get into.

0:19

The summer starts here.We may have only finished against Brighton a couple of hours ago, but it's kicking off.Simon Stone, Fabrizio Romano, Chris Wheeler, all big updates around Man Utd's transfer activity. And we may already know who our midfield three is.It's exciting. It's the summer.

0:36

We've closed last season off 71 points.Michael Carrick is the manager.Next season is judgment season.can we do it?Well to do it we need to be active and it looks like we are going to be active.Edison could be done this week.

0:51

Big update coming in from Fabrizio Romano. There is an agreement in place with Man United and Edison for personal terms.Face -to -face conversations took place in recent days to discuss a deal. We've also spoken with Atalanta.Man United have agreed personal terms with him.He is prioritising the move to Old Trafford and is currently waiting for United to push forward with Atalanta after face -to -face talks in Italy.

1:16

We've also got a Tuomini update from Fabrizio as well.Ben Jacobs jumping in two -footed and saying verbally agreed a five -year contract at Man United.Club -to -club talks are advancing. Also talks of Fernandes from Ben Jacobs as well. And Simon Stone, BBC journalist for Manchester United, says there is concrete interest from Man United in Edison.Talks have taken place and a transfer is not being ruled out.

1:42

Just to add to that, when Simon Stone says an Edison deal it'swe move on to the Chiomini story, which is very interesting, and the Fernandez story, which obviously is very interesting now West Ham have been relegated.None of what I'm talking tonight is, by the way, speculative. It's all coming in from journalists.I'll give you the opinion on it.There is a risk with Edison.

2:21

there is a risk with Edison, but there is an opportunity to get that deal done. And you balance that off with, I don't like Edison, I don't like Edison, to we've got one of our three midfielders in and it's not even June. And I think that is the balance.I think the Edison deal is a little bit like Michael Carrick.I do.I think that, you know, I saw Andy Mitton saying that Carrick's points per game ratio is incredible.

2:46

If he'd had a full season, he'd have more points than Arsenal.in relation to his points to game ratio and then somebody replied to his tweet and said that's not yet but one game a week and he replied and he went oh of course it's in you know it's it's it's virtually impossible to do that next season so you know Carrick's done really well but there's an acknowledgement that there are circumstances that have helped that I think you know there are people myself included who worry about the Carrick appointment and hope that it goes well And I think there are people with the Edison deal that worry about it going badly, but hope it goes well.I think Edison's that type of deal. But if you're signing three players, one of them can be a bit of a risk. You know, they can, they can be.And I think that from what I've seen today, it feels like our midfield three is Chiomini, Fernandes and Edison.

3:38

which is very interesting because two of those players are external to the Premier League, which sort of flies in the face of, oh, we want Premier League proven players because, you know, Edison couldn't be more out of our parameters, not Premier League proven over 26.Tuominy will be 26.in January as well.So look, Edison's 27 in July, Tuomini's 27 in January, and he's not played in the Premier League before. So look, in a way they're exciting in the sense that we're signing players that aren't, you know, Premier League proven players and aren't under 26.What would you feel like if it was Edison, Fernandes from West Ham and Tuomini?

4:20

I mean, There is an element of risk there, but it's not a bad combination.I'd probably say it's a 6 -7, you know, and I hate doing that, but I'd probably say it's a 6 or a 7, depending on how they settle in.With Edison, it looks like it's like there. It's a weird one.And you know, in football, you never fail to be surprised by things, because I think with the Edison deal, I genuinely You know, I've been doing this for a long time, but I've also been following transfers since I was about eight.Teletext, page 312.

4:59

Transfers have always fascinated me, not just Man United.I've always been fascinated by the transfer window and, you know, the bullshit and the reality.

5:08

And I did feel with Edison that it was a I felt that it was agent -led.I just didn't think we were going to do this deal, because he's a player that we were looking at three years ago. He's never played in the Premier League. He's not a Brazilian international. He's 27 in the summer. He's quite expensive at 35 million with one year left on his contract.

5:26

I really did think it's just paper talk. But we've agreed personal terms. It's a straightforward deal with Atalanta.I think it's going to happen.I mean, for a deal that I thought was a load of bullshit, I actually think it's going to happen.I just think, I just think I can't speak for anybody else.

5:50

but if it does happen, I'm just going to have to get on board with it and say, welcome to Manchester United.I hope it works out.I hope you're not the next Agaté.I hope you're not the next Fred.I hope you are the next Ander Herrera.I hope it works out.

6:04

But it looks like it's going to happen. And as I said, to have one of the three in before the end of June might not be a bad thing.

6:13

The only thing I will say is I think there are better options but I think it probably does come down to price and as much as we moan about price, it's not the transfer fee for me, it's the wage.I don't like what I'm hearing about wages but, and I'll come back to that in a minute because Ciumini and wages has been mentioned, I think we have a wage structure and I don't like it but also in relation to budget, we can't buy three 60 million pound midfielders we clearly are working to a budget around 150 and if you buy edison for 35 you've got 120 to spend on the other two so if you get one in for 50 you've got 70 for the other and i think that's what it comes down to but in relation to edison there's been a raft of updates in the last hour saying that this deal is basically for Manchester United to do.

7:06

Mo says, what about a five year contract?Yes.

7:10

I mean, you know, I can't, I can't, I can't swerve that one.Although I was going to swerve it and you've sort of pulled me in.And this is the brilliance of the United stand is that if somebody puts me on the spot, I won't swerve it.I wasn't going to do anything other than Man United have verbally agreed a five year contract with Edison. It's too long. It's way too long.

He's 27 in July and we're giving them a contract and he's 32.It's long. It's very, very long. But it's probably four years with an option. But, you know, his wages are probably very cheap as well.Yeah.

7:59

I mean, I can't say anything more than that. He's never played in the Premier League. He doesn't play for Brazil. He's 27 when we sign him and we're giving him a five year deal.I'd take him to 30.I'd give him a three plus one.

8:14

I think that's fair. But it looks like we're doing a four plus one.

8:21

Roy Keane doubting Anderson.I need more than that rate. It's not exciting to bring your strategy at the first occasion. It's concerning.Only positive is Carrick leading since 26 plus as 83.Why three?

8:34

Edison feels a bit underwhelming, says Goldbridge.

8:36

But I feel he can be the Wijnaldum type signing that can be a crowd favourite and important squad member for a decent price.Goldbridge, I'm loving.I am absolutely loving the Wijnaldum. That is knowledge.I love that.I absolutely love that.

8:49

Even though it's a Liverpool thing, I love that.I absolutely love that.I use Ander Herrera a lot, Ander Herrera, but I like the Wijnaldum thing.Yeah, Wijnaldum, Liverpool, what a signing. And it wasn't glamorous.I love that.

9:04

Do you think this third finish can be a very misleading, says Sanchit? How important is it to sign an experienced striker? What a hot roller coaster of a season.I think we need a striker to help with Sesko.I don't think third place is misleading because it's there in the history books.Third place, 71 points.

9:22

How misleading is 10 Hogs, 75 points? No one talks about it.I mean, we will talk about it now because it's fresh, but next season, no one will talk about third place and 71 points because nobody spoke about 10 Hogs, third place and 75 points. It got completely and utterly forgotten. So you're only as good as the season you're operating in.So I don't think there's anything to discuss there.

9:48

Ciuomini, I want to discuss. This is only probably going to be quite a quick show tonight, by the way.I was going to do a 10 minute pre -record, but I thought, fuck that. We're live. We're going live.So this was a significant update.

10:03

This was what Romano said tonight about Ciuomini.

10:07

Internally, he is a dream target and a potential long -term Casemiro -style signing.

10:15

However, the deal is viewed as very difficult and very complicated due to his high salary and Real Madrid's current stance.Doors are closed for now.Ciumini is a player Man Utd believes could be another Casemiro, and he is a player they love and dream of, Fabrizio Romano. And look, on the one hand, yeah, tell me something I don't know.Man United would love to sign Chiomini. On the other hand, we are getting exactly what we have had with Anderson and Tonali and now Chiomini.

10:52

Concerns about the wage and the price. And this is where it's going to all fall down. You know, Edison, we debate Edison, but he's cheap. We debate Fernandez, but he's cheap. And when it comes to Anderson, Tonali and Chiomini, oh, they're too expensive. We're going to struggle if we rule out expensive players, because there's a reason they're expensive.

11:22

If Edison was on 250 grand a week and 100 million pounds, we won't go anywhere near him.

11:30

The reason Ciuomini and Anderson and Tenali are going to be

11:35

grand a week and 100 million pounds in some cases is because they're worth it.We cannot use that excuse for every good player to replace Casemiro.I don't mind Edison and I don't mind Fernandez if you get Tenali, Anderson or Tuomini, but do not turn your back on them because they're too expensive. The reason they're expensive is because you are replacing a three times Champions League winner who you paid 350 grand a week, who scored you a shitload of goals and was one of your best players this season and is gonna play centre midfield for Brazil in the World Cup.You are not going to replace that with a relegated West Ham midfielder or an Atalanta midfielder or a Brighton midfielder or a Bournemouth midfielder or an Everton midfielder. You are going to have to replace that person with a Champions League proven international who plays for Newcastle and has played in the Champions League, or a Real Madrid French international who's played in the Champions League, or an England international who is at the wrong club who has the potential to be one of England's best midfielders.

12:39

That's how you replace Casemiro. You do not replace him with what you're looking to do it with. You can get the Atalanta midfielder and the West Ham midfielder as one and two, but three has to be the real deal.We need three midfielders. Two of them can be Fernandes and Edison. But the third one defines the other two by being the Casimiro replacement.

13:07

You don't buy three players around the same level but that aren't Casimiro. So we have to spend the money on the Casimiro replacement. It's a little bit like Bruno Fernandes leaving and Man United going, oh, Leeds have got a good number 10.Oh, Everton have got a good number 10.And why don't we get Tottenham's number 10 as well? No, if you remember

13:30

Bruno Fernandes, you have got to go and get an elite number 10 and it's exactly the same with Casemiro.I mean, you look at Manu today, good game, 20 years of age, he's gonna dip, he's gonna go down.It has to be an elite midfielder for Manchester United and I'm getting a little bit tired of hearing Oh, I mean, look, this is literally what Romano said. The deal is viewed as very difficult due to his high salary. What the fuck are we doing? What are we doing about...

14:03

Why is a high salary now suddenly a barrier to Manchester United? What is a high salary as well?We have, and this is complete and utter speculation, we clearly have set a bloody wage barrier up, haven't we?We clearly have said we don't want to pay over this for wages anymore.Well, we're fucked. We're going to end up like Nice.

14:24

We are screwed. If business people put business parameters into an entertainment business, you're fucked.

14:32

It's like Tarantino in his last film saying, this film script is amazing.OK, let's make it.And then the film studio saying, yeah, but you're not you're not having an actor who wants more than 50 million for this film.Well, that's that's Pitt gone, DiCaprio gone.

14:48

You know, it's the same thing. We cannot put a limit on wages at Man United.

14:55

If you limit wages, you limit your potential.Simple as that. What if Erling Haaland said, I desperately want to play for Man United, but I'm on 400 grand a week.Well, it's double what we want to pay.We can't have you.You know, you have to pay for what's worth it.

15:15

The trouble with Man United is they're shit scared of paying big wages because they paid big wages on stupid players. But that's why you need a good deal.of football. You need a good director of football to say to Jim Radcliffe, we do need to pay £300 ,000 a week to...No, I wouldn't pay £300 ,000.We do need to pay £250 ,000 a week to Tonali for this, this and this reason.

15:38

We do need to give Ali Anderson £250 ,000 a week for this, this and this reason. We have got to do that.

15:53

Couldn't give a shit about Luke Shaw. Not going to the World Cup.Mission didn't get accomplished. From a Man United point of view, a very average season where he stayed fit all season.Well done. That's not an ironic slap, by the way.

16:07

I mean, well done.He played 38 games. He played every single game for Man United.Well done.Brilliant.Yeah, I want a new left back.

16:17

I don't even think, sorry, Aiden says, I don't even think if the doors were open for Tuomini to leave that he would even think about choosing us.

16:25

Way better clubs would be in for him, says Aiden. And Aston says, apart from Fernandes, other players, says Bowen. What about Bowen?I don't know, Aston.I don't know about Jared Bowen.I don't know about that.

16:38

What's the salaries the three midfielders would demand?I think 250.Carnodave is what Cermini, Anderson or Tonali would want.

16:46

And I think that's very reasonable.I mean...The hypocrisy of, we don't want to give anybody more than 200 grand a week, but we'll keep giving Mason Mount a million pounds a month, is hilarious.Scouting staff should play EIFC for better players, says Count. What's our obsession with Brazilian CDMs?Fred, Casimiro, and now Edison, says Jacob.

17:07

And Patrick Lynch says, looking at the table, Spurs under Zerby, Newcastle with one game a week, and Chelsea under Alonso.

17:13

City, Liverpool, and Arsenal will invest heavily. We need to really invest if we want top four again.Patrick now is not the night for reason we need to be optimistic about transfers and celebratory about the season But you have nailed it like you have I think I think next season without saying anything about man United I think next season is Incredibly difficult way more difficult than this year this season is Spurs, Newcastle, Chelsea, Liverpool, Man City, Arsenal, all in Europe and all in the Champions League.Villa in the Europa League.Next season, Chelsea, Newcastle, Spurs, one game a week.Man United, one game a week, look at what it did for us.

18:05

So we've got three clubs with Champions League experience playing one game a week next year. You've also got Man City with a new manager that they're going to invest in.You've got Arsenal trying to retain the title, invest in, and you've got Liverpool making a massive decision to stick with slots where they've got to make sure they're right.

So it's going to be, I don't think we're in a false position, Lee.I don't think anybody is in a false position after 38 games.

18:31

And I think it's disgusting, the lack of appreciation that has been given to Sunderland by everybody, the media, as everybody.

18:42

How the hell have Sunderland been promoted?Listen to this. The last two years, three up, three down. You get promoted, you get relegated.Sunderland get promoted and finish 7th and get Europa League football. That is absolutely stunning.

19:01

That is the story of the season and nobody talks about it.You know, he should get manager of the year. That is a newly promoted team, 7th place in the Premier League, Europa League football. And I don't even know who their players are.I've barely seen them.I've barely watched them on the telly.

19:21

I don't even know Sunderland starting 11.It's incredible. The way they've been treated by me, by you, by the media, is a disgrace. That is one of the Premier League stories ever. You get, you know, Hull, Ipswich, Coventry could all go back down. Two seasons before this, three up, three down.

19:47

Sunderland, seventh place, Europa League football.Oh, my God.Oh, my God.It's unbelievable. But my point is, there is...

19:58

I know what Lee's saying, false position. There is no false position. After 38 games, you finish where you deserve to finish.

20:06

I don't think we're in a false position.I think next season is going to be a lot harder. We deserve to be third. We deserve it.Whether you like it or not, we deserve it.But next season is going to be really hard, really hard.

20:21

I wanted Chelsea to be in the Conference League.I really wanted them to be in the Conference League.

20:26

Sunderland, sorry, Spurs and Tottenham, sorry, Spurs and Newcastle can sort of deal with it.Chelsea, one game a week, that's a problem.

20:37

That is a problem. Can't see them not getting top five.I can't see Arsenal not getting top five.I can't see Man City not getting top five. And I can't see Chelsea not getting top five.So there's two spots left.

20:52

Man United, Liverpool, maybe.but it only takes Newcastle or Spurs to have a good season.

20:58

Oh, I'm forgetting Villa as well.Fucking hell, I mean, Villa went and won at City in Pep's last game.Looking at...It's a great point, Patrick.Malpa says it's not a great start with transfers.Mark.

21:12

Look, it depends where the pathway leads, isn't it?It might not be the pathway I want to take, but if it leads to where I want to get to, it's fine. We're talking Edison.A few updates tonight around Fernandes as well.I think it was...Who was it who spoke about Fernandes tonight?

21:40

There's a few people who spoke about Fernandes tonight.and I can't remember who it was.It might have been Ben Jacobs.Yeah, Ben Jacobs, Man United keen on Fernandes and Chiomini, both names high in their thinking.Look, Fernandes has been relegated with West Ham.He will leave West Ham.

21:59

The biggest issue is going to be the price. Now, I think where it comes down to, what it comes down to with Fernandes, I'm just reading it there. What it comes down to with Fernandes is the price and the competition.I think if nobody wants him, we'll get him for about 50 million quid.If other clubs go in for him, then, you know, ultimately, do you want Fernandes?I quite like the idea of Fernandes.

22:48

Portuguese, loves Bruno, had a very good season for West Ham, lots of potential. He's definitely better than Buleyba. So if it's Fernandes or Buleyba, I want Fernandes.PSG are interested.Arsenal are interested. So he's definitely

23:05

a talented player.I'd like us to move quickly on that one.I don't want to lose him to Arsenal or PSG and then we go to Buleba.I really do feel like it's Fernandes or Buleba.I think they are around the same price and I think in United's thinking it's probably one or the other. So I really hope we move on Fernandes really quick.

23:25

And look, with Edison, I don't really care.I'm not really bothered. If it's Edison, Fernandes, Antonali or Anderson, I don't really care.I just think that he isn't going anywhere.Edison's not going anywhere. We could park that deal for a month.

23:44

Personal terms are done.He wants to come to us.We don't even need to say yes.We don't even need to do that deal.

23:51

He's not going to the World Cup.We could leave that deal for a month. We don't need to do it.We could negotiate with Atalanta for six weeks.

23:58

That deal will get done.I'd move on Fernandes now.I'd move very, very quickly on Fernandes now because he's not going to the World Cup either.West Ham are relegated.Just got to move on that one. That's what I would do.

24:13

Mike says, if we don't get the best we can, we won't stay in the Champions League long or next season. There are consequences to being cheap. But you know what, Mike, as well, I think that feeds nicely into what I was going to say.Edison has no Premier League experience.Fernandes has no Champions League experience and is very young.Manu has no experience of playing Champions League and the Premier League week in, week out.

24:36

That's a very inexperienced midfield, and midfield is very important.Next season, Chelsea, Newcastle, Spurs, one game a week, they're coming for the top five.Champions League and Premier League, that's a lot of football, and it's a lot of intense football. You might be playing in Munich on a Wednesday, and you might be playing in Liverpool on a Saturday. It's intense. You can buy Edison.

25:00

you can take a punt. You can buy Fernandes and you can take a punt. But your third midfielder's got to be somebody that you go, you know what, we're playing two games a week, we're playing good teams. He might flop, but the chances are he won't flop because he knows what he's bloody doing.Ederson, Fernandes, Maneuw and Baleba, I'm shitting myself.Ederson, Fernandes, Maneuw, Tonali, I'm like, Tonali knows what he's doing.

25:27

Ederson, Fernandes, Maneuw, Chiomini, Chiomini knows what he's doing.I think that's really important.Really important.Would you try for Krupi as a striker option, says Kieran.I think Krupi's out of our range, mate.I think he's probably not what we need and expensive.

25:49

But I tell you what, and what I will say that's topical in relation to the game today, if we're going to spend £80 million on Morgan Rodgers, what the hell is happening to Kunja?Like, you watch it today, you've got Ahmad on the right, You've got Dorgu on the left, you've got Bruno at 10, you've got Mbermo up front.Sesko can play up front, Mbermo can go to the right. If you sign Morgan Rodgers, where the fuck is Kunja playing?I don't even know where Kunja plays anyway.

26:22

I mean, you could argue Dorgu on the left, Sesko up front, Bruno at 10, Ahmad and Mbermo on the right.Where does Kunja play? But if you sign Rodgers as well, well, where does Rodgers play and where does bloody Kunja play?Somebody said you could put Kunja up front, but I don't think he really plays Kunja up front. So, I was thinking that today about Rodgers.£80 million on a player that doesn't actually fit into the team and actually, probably, Kunja's gone, isn't he?

26:54

I mean, it doesn't matter.sense.Ian Acho at Celtic out of contract.

26:58

Piss off, Damien, he's shite. No way, thank you very much, move on.MrJazz says, it's belabor, oh no, he could never be as good as Scholes.Smoggy says, have you heard any more about Jeremy Monga deal?

27:11

Not first team I know, but hadn't heard anything since the news broke. This is the Leicester winger, isn't it?I mean, look, it's the sort of deal Man United might do.It's the sort of deal that doesn't excite me because we need players ready to go now.Not some, you know, we do.We need players ready to go now.

27:29

Would you try for Krupy? We've done that.Thank you very much.Give me two positives for my Fiverr, please, Mark. And something you are looking forward to.We just had a very strong season.

27:39

None of us dreamt of this.

27:42

Oh, I'm quite like, I like the cut of your jib.You want two positives for your Fiverr. This is a super chat that I can dig.

27:49

So two positives.Dorgoo.On the wing is very exciting and he's a left footer. And for me, if you've been watching the channel for a long period of time, I don't like inverted wingers.I like natural wingers.Doggo off the left really excites me.

28:05

Young player, tremendous talent, tremendous potential. He's one to watch out for.And it's only because of injury that we haven't had him for three months and we still won loads of games.Imagine what we would have done with him.Second positive.Um, Bruno Fernandes will be a Man United player next season.

28:24

Um, people misinterpret my tweets.I said, the biggest compliment I can pay to Bruno Fernandes is if we didn't have Bruno Fernandes, we wouldn't have qualified for any European football.Amrin would have been gone by October and Michael Carrick wouldn't have got the job.We are the definition of a one man team.

28:43

And some people are, oh yeah, he's being negative. He's being, no, hold on a minute. How is it negative toa compliment to bruno fernandez we would not have got top eight without him carrick would not have got the job without him amran wouldn't have survived as long as he did without him we are a one -man team he's just broken the assist record with 21 we without bruno we are nothing and people hate that but barcelona without messi at times wouldn't have done what they did real madrid without ronaldo at times wouldn't have done what they did You know, on the one hand, people want to call Bruno Fernandes a legend, but then when you say we're a one -man team, people don't like it.You know, you can't break the all -time Premier League assist record and then pretend that we're nothing, you know, we're not a one -man team.

29:39

He's going to be in our team next year.I think Bruno's like a fine wine.He is getting better and better with age.So they're my two positives. There are other positives. There are other positives.

29:53

Very good question, Jim Jam.I like it when people make me think. That star midfielder is an investment that will yield dividends in the future.Surely good businessmen would realise this, says Denise.Look, the best thing I could say, Denise, is if I'm sat in the boardroom and Edison and Fernandez have signed and both their wages are under 150 grand a week and we're discussing the third midfielder and they're talking to me about Scott or Belayber or whoever else and I'm saying it has to be Tenali or Tuamini.Anderson's gone to City.

30:27

It has to be Tenali or Tuamini. No, it's too expensive. What's too expensive about it?The wages. They both want 250 grand a week.Okay, you sign Scott or Belayber.

30:44

What's their wage?We reckon we can get them for 125 grand a week.Okay, so half the wage of Tumini and Tenali, yeah?So Tenali is going to cost you a million pounds a month in wages, 250 grand a week. And over a year, that's 12 million pounds, yeah?12 million pounds for Tenali or Tumini in wages a year.

31:08

Half of that on 125 grand a week for Scott or Buleba, 6 million.

31:15

So across 12 months, it's a £6 million difference in wages, yeah? And you've got a problem with that.Next season, if we struggle and we don't get top five because Chelsea or Newcastle or whoever playing one game a week do, you've just cost this club at least £50 million by not being in the Champions League.

31:40

Your £6 million you don't want to pay to Tonali in wages suddenly looks very stupid, doesn't it?Compared to the £50 million you've just lost.Pay the fucking money for the player.I'm here all week.Imagine would actually let Bruno go last summer, where would we be since carbon?Yeah, but you know what?

31:59

There's a lot of people who are revising.I mean, I can only speak for this community, but there's a lot of people revising what was said. The offer from Saudi was 90 million and Bruno spent two weeks thinking about it.

32:15

So not only was there a 90 million pound offer on the table, there was also a player that was thinking about leaving. It wasn't like United fans invented this.

32:23

He spent two weeks thinking about going to Saudi. We knew the offer was 90 million. And even knowing all those things, everybody said, if he's playing in the midfield, take the money. If he's playing as a number 10, keep him.And that wasthe story. This

32:41

This nonsense that people are saying, oh, and United fans wanted to sell him last summer.

32:46

I don't remember anybody after the Europa League final saying, sell Bruno Fernandes at any price. He was in talks with Saudi. It was 90 million pounds. And everybody said, if he's going to play in the midfield, take the deal. That was it.That's the story.

33:00

And people are going, oh, Bruno haters sit down. You all wanted to sell him.And it was like, that wasn't the story at all.It was actually multi -layered context.Just a thought, Mark.Maybe they want to avoid a situation like Rashford's high salary.

33:14

But I agree, we need good players with high wages. It's done. And thank you very much for that.

33:20

And if our board is hell -bent on getting Rodgers, then why won't Carrick rotate Sesco and Cunha up top and Bermo Ahmad right and Rodgers and Dorgo on the left?I mean, that could work, one and only. That could work.Edison, Pounds should be going to Anderson or Tonali deals, says Mo.Do you think the board is stuck between buying squad players for a rotation or buying one or two top -tier players, given our budget not looking like much, says Spears.

33:47

The problem you've got is that We're trying to build something for the future on a cheap wage budget.

33:54

But you've got Luke Shaw on £170 ,000 a week.You've got Maguire on £190 ,000 a week.And you've got Mason Mount on £250 ,000 a week.And those wages are a joke.And I think Delitz on about £200 ,000 a week as well.So we've got a lot of money.

34:12

And then we're going, we won't give it to players that probably are.And it will hurt us.I don't know for a fact, but if we have a wage limit, it will limit our expectations. It will limit our success.Absolutely.Ayoub says, why do I have this bad feeling we're going to get Belayba, Kipagate, bring Collier and Kone back?

34:34

And there you go.Yeah, that's a good question. That's never going to happen.Get that bad feeling out of your head.Anthony says, Kunya is our version of Havertz.Thank you very much for that.

34:43

OK.Lovely stuff.Lovely stuff.OK.Let me just check.I thought there was one thought.

34:53

Oh, one thing I did want to say as well.Michael Carrick, I saw it as well.At the end of the game, he spent about half a minute talking to Heaven.Obviously, Heaven didn't get any time on the pitch. So I think that's quite an important thing to say. What's this?

35:10

United made a check on Tuchel.United considered Nagelsmann.Unai Emery was proposed, although he could have cost up to 20 million.Cost was a factor in the decision making.I don't know where that's come from, but I'll have a look for that for tomorrow, wherever that's come from.Oh, it's all coming out from an article that's just come out now.

35:57

I'll have a look at that for the morning show.OK.Thank you, everybody, for watching.Just a quick show, meant to be a quick show. You still got a good 40 minutes. The season is over, but the real work is just beginning.

36:13

And I think we've done it perfectly today.Last watch along, last match reaction, last fan forum. And then within an hour, we're reacting to big transfer stories. That's what the summer is going to be on the United stand.Make sure you're subscribing.Back in the morning at 10 o 'clock, 8 o 'clock show tomorrow night.

36:28
