Good evening and it's great to be back with all of you at home.We do begin tonight with the breaking news coming in now.We have just learned an Air Force B -52 bomber has crashed and authorities revealing just moments ago that they now believe at least eight people who are on board are now feared dead.The bomber going down just after takeoff at Edwards Air Force Base outside Los Angeles.The images coming in now smoldering wreckage seen on the runway right there.Emergency teams on the scene right now.

Authorities say the bomber crashing during a test mission.ABC's Kayna Whitworth leading us off tonight from California.

Tonight, officials say beneath this thick black smoke is the remains of a B -52 bomber.It crashed shortly after takeoff during a test mission just northeast of Los Angeles.

We'll get multiple reports.I do believe it's going to be on Edwards.

The charred runway at Edwards Air Base, all that remains.The aircraft erupting into a ball of fire seen miles away.This time lapse shows the thick smoke moments after the crash.The B -52 Stratofortress, sometimes used at the base, is dubbed the mothership because its ability to carry and drop military planes and hypersonic missiles mid -flight so they can take off.Today's mission around 1120 AM is unclear, but the bomber is a central part of the U .S.

military's air power and can carry up to 70 ,000 pounds of military weaponry and can fly more than 8 ,000 miles without refueling.This is the latest jet crashinvolving U .S.S.military.Over the weekend, a fighter jet pilot ejected to safety just before their F -18 Hornet slammed into a national forest in Washington.

The Marine Corps Air Station in Miramar says the plane was on a training mission.The crash sparked a wildfire in the area and forced evacuations of nearby campsites.And David, back to that B -52 crash.We're just coming in from Edwards Air Base that there were eight people on board.It was a routine training flight and all indications are that nobody survived.David, that crash now under investigation.

We're thinking of all of them and their families tonight.Kena, we're leading us off here.Kena, thank you.The other breaking headline tonight involves the U .S.and Iran.

President Trump at the G7 summit saying there is now a signed deal with Iran.Tonight, the major question, what's in this deal?What happens to Iran's enriched uranium and will Will Iran get money in this deal?What the president is now saying about that, Rachel Scott traveling with the president in Geneva.

President Trump touching down in France, touting his freshly signed deal with Iran.Though tonight, there are more questions than answers.

The Iran deal that we made is gonna bring a lot of, uh, a lot of success to the world because the oil was really clogged up there for a while.

The deal is still under wraps, the U .S.and Iran giving conflicting versions of what's in it.Both agree the U .S.will lift its blockade of Iranian ports and Iran will reopen the Strait of Hormuz, which it closed when President Trump launched the war.

The fate of Iran's nuclear program, the reason the U .S.went to war in the first place, will be addressed in another 60 -day period of talks, though the president today claimed to win.

Iran will not have a nuclear weapon.They fully agreed to that.

with strong policing powers.Iran already agreed not to possess nuclear weapons as part of its deal with the Obama administration, which President Trump tore up in his first term.Former President Obama speaking with ABC's Robin Roberts before hedeal was announced.

You spent a lot of time wrestling with the threat of a nuclear Iran.How do you think things are being handled right now there?

It is doubtful that any agreement that arises is going to be significantly different or a significant improvement from the deal that we had three years ago.in the first place.

Tonight, Iran says it stands to benefit from the deal.Though President Trump declared the Strait of Hormuz will be toll -free as it was before the war, Iran's foreign ministry says Iran will establish and collect fees related to navigation services, environmental protection and vessel insurance.Also unclear whether Iran will get a payout from this initial deal.

Mr. President, does the deal involve any sanctions relief for Iran?When would that go into effect?No, it doesn't.

Well, they have to.It's really a behavioral thing.If they do what they're supposed to do, that starts taking effect.

A senior administration official later telling reporters, we are prepared to release frozen funds, and we are prepared to release sanctions, and we'll do some small gestures of that in the beginning.President Trump sounding hoarse today.He had had a long night.

Did you watch the fight?Yeah.It's not indirect, but I saw it this morning.That was a great fight.It was a great evening at the White House.

The president celebrating his 80th birthday with a massive UFC cage match on the White House South Lawn, complete with a military flyover and a towering steel arch called The Claw.The People's House, a stage.The Oval Office, a backdrop.Fighters walking through ceremonial rooms, usually reserved for visiting dignitaries, making their way to the ring, where the president watched as they battled it out.And David, back to the deal with Iran.It's unclear when the American people will see the text of that agreement.

It's also unclear what happens to Iran's nuclear program.its stockpile of enriched uranium.David.

Lee.Hey David, flash flood warnings right now in Beaumont and Corpus Christi.We've seen up to six inches of rain already across parts of Texas.Multi -day flood threat throughout the week.Flood watches southeastern Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi at least through Wednesday.A very serious three out of four risk for the entire Gulf Coast tomorrow.

Houston in the bullseye with rainfall rates of two to four inches an hour.The setup, rounds of rain along a stalled front and some tropical moisture could be a named disturbance in the western Gulf midweek.Intense downpours could bring up to 10 inches of rain across the western Gulf Coast through Thursday.

Tonight, a city electrified.The New York Knicks first NBA title in 53 years, turning a gruff city gleeful.Inside, outside, the nation's largest city became one big block party.It's over.Knick fans, this is not a dream.The Empire State Building, a light in orange and blue.

New York celebrated in one euphoric voice.Jalen Brunson was left speechless.You know, life is not perfect, but there are perfect moments and there's one right there.Celebrating the moment with his father, assistant coach Rick Brunson, who reached the finals with the Knicks in 1999.

It's been like the most consistent I've been around.I've been able to be around my dad, so made the moment 10 times on special.

Tonight, New York is planning a victory parade.After some of the revelry became dangerous with school buses set on fire and a handful of stabbings and shootings, the mayor says there will be no tolerance for violence.We're going to make sure that we take every precaution that this be a safe and joyous moment for New Yorkers.

And now, actually, you get to see history show itself and be able to see it with your own eyes that the Knicks are, again, world champions.

And on Thursday morning, David, a victory lap in lower Manhattan.The city will be putting up these signs designating the parade.route Champion's Way and the mayor will give the Knicks keys to the city.

The NTSB is now on the scene this evening in Butler, Missouri, after the tragic crash of that skydiving plane.Twelve people were killed and there is word tonight that family members on the ground witnessed the whole thing.Matt Rivers on the scene tonight.

Tonight, the NTSB is sifting through the charred wreckage of this skydiving plane, working to determine why it crashed shortly after takeoff, killing all 12 people on board.Around 11 .30 Sunday, a Pacific Aerospace P -750 plane took off from Butler Memorial Airport in Missouri, 11 passengers and that pilot on board for a skydiving trip.According to city officials, the pilot banks left shortly after takeoff and goes down.A city official says it appears the pilot may have been trying to make an emergency landing on a flat roadway nearby, but the plane stalled and crashed.Tragically, family members may have witnessed the crash.Dan Bessendorfer said the plane's pilot ate at his restaurant all the time, calling him kind and experienced.

It's truly a tragedy, I think, especially for everybody involved.

This father, who asked not to be named, says his son, an avid skydiver, was among those killed.

My son was on the plane.He had new business, two new baby boys.I mean, everything was going good for him.I just don't understand what happened.

David, the NTSB says they're looking to find any data recording devices that might have been on board that plane to see if they can find any more answers in this tragedy.David.

He's best known for a song calledYou and Life Goes On.He was in Brazil as part of a world tour that had recently kicked off.Back in the U .S.tonight, California Governor Gavin Newsom's explosive new claim this evening, accusing President Trump of ordering the Justice Department to investigate Newsom and his wife.

Tonight, California Governor Gavin Newsom coming before cameras to accuse President Trump of using the power of the Justice Department to launch a political hit job against him.

In recent days, federal agents have knocked on the doors of family, friends, and former employees, not because they found a crime, because they're simply trying to find one.
