Okay, guys, emergency pod.A lot of shit has gone down since we recorded this morning, did a round recap, got out of the studio, and since lunchtime, it's just been bomb after bomb after bomb.I've never In the time that we've done this, Emergency Pods, normally it's one story that breaks.I've never been part of a day where it's just every hour something is happening.And it has been like that for the last five hours, hence why we are here back in the studio doing Emergency Pod for multiple things.So the first one, let's get to just a fuck story.

that Tom Morris broke three hours ago.I'll start with this tweet.It goes, big story developing which could rock Sydney season.Swans were involved in alleged police incident last night at a Melbourne hotel.Club aware details which are believed to be sensitive and potentially very damaging to players.More to come.

So we got that and it was a massive holy shit moment.

Yeah.

Just where you go, well this has to be really bad.Has to be really bad.Tom Morris went with it, said there's details and with these things they trickle out and you try and get pieces of the puzzle and put it together.And then throughout the last three hours, we've slowly got pieces of the puzzle where the swans can't say so much.So.When Matty Pavlich gets in front of the microphone and pretty much reads a statement that went for 58 seconds.

I know it's annoying and it's a gutless and bullshit kind of thing to do, but he needs to get in front of cameras.Just to be there and front it and not take the force, but to just show that he's all over it and they're dealing with it.And he pretty much read a statement that they released.In 58 seconds, he was in front of the cameras, he was out of the cameras.

It's essentially just acknowledging that you know what's happened or like, you know, that an incident has occurred.But you don't know the details.So you don't want to speculate.

Yeah.So they've done that.It's annoying and shit.It is what it is.They have to do it.They did that.

Then we hear more about how it's happened.And I'm sure everyone has been getting what seems to bein all these situations.Anytime a rumor comes out, it always seems to be a WhatsApp message where things just flood.So I'm sure everyone's seen and heard different things.And right now, rumors, everything's alleged and nothing to be confirmed because we're real sensitive.

But Things are just getting sent around left, right and center.Um, Herald Sun that have gone with something here where I guess we can kind of read that because it is the Herald Sun they've reported on it.So we can just read what they've gone with where they're saying that police investigating alleged sexual assault involving Sydney Swans players, the Pullman on Monday morning, I'm skipping through the article right now.Witnesses told the old sign to have approached hotel staff about 7am and demanded to be let back into one of the guest rooms.She was overheard telling staff she'd been touched and felt overwhelmed, surrounded by multiple men in the room.Hysterical and upset, at one point ran into the hotel toilets before police were called.

Then the Swans confirmed that several players were involved in the alleged incident last night in Melbourne.identified the AFL.AFL has now investigated it, now taking it to the police.Incident occurred at a hotel in Wellington Parade in the early hours of this morning.Still again, the exact... involvements and what happened in the incident are yet to be confirmed out there, but a witness said that two women were seen agitated in a hotel lobby, and they were confronted by Swan's coaching staff, one of them being Dean Cox, and Dean Cox just looked visibly shook about what was going on, and so he should at 7 30 in the morning when all this is going down.So that happened, and then they say here in the Herald Sun that they're going with, and this is a quote, one mild theory even suggested that a Sydney player had thrown a sex toy at the back of a woman's head and she fell forward and knocked her teeth out, but sources close to the club this afternoon rubbish that claim.

So that's one theory that has been out there all day.Oh, so that's been thrown out as a, well, the club have said that's just didn't happen, but that is a theory that's going around right now.And the Herald Sun have run with that as well.

It's so hard to believe anything because there's just so many rumors that just get flown around through, as you said, WhatsApp messages and stuff.

There's so much going around.If any of what we're hearing is true and the City of Swans does not confirm anything, holy shit, it's fucked.I just don't get, at round 23, when you go, we're second in the ladder, just played Essendon, don't need to do anything silly, got five weeks to go, six weeks to go putting our head down, probably been told two weeks ago, let's not do anything dumb and silly here, to then go and do something super dumb and super silly to get to this point is the most stupid thing you could do.

It's fully put their season in jeopardy.But also like if what, if what we're seeing is true, where there's like a woman that's been injured, that's, I think that's the primary concern here.You don't want someone's life to be completely like flipped upside down just from a night out with a bunch of footballers.Like that's, that's worst case.Obviously that's all alleged, so we don't know what's happened, but if that is the case, we are, I think first and foremost, that's what we're more concerned about.Yeah.

But then yeah, it's Sydney, like we talked about them this morning, they're, they're They're firing again, they're dominating.They look so good.They did what they could against Essendon and they got a finals campaign, a massive one.They're sitting second, pretty.They've completely thrown that in the air with whatever's happened.

Yeah.And as you said, don't get twisted.Obviously the safety of women and women in this is the main thing that is a priority here.It's just football, it's whatever.It's so fucked that it has happened like this.Caught everyone off guard But the main priority is the woman that they're talking about in this incident and that wild theory that might or may not be true We don't know yet.

What if it comes forward anyone who was involved in it?We hope that they are safe back to Sydney.What's the fuck?

It's yeah, imagine being so it's like what there's it's alleged There's like what playing group of six that have been involved in this.Mm -hmm.There's 18 as shit maths There's 16 of the other players who played on Sunday who aren't involved in this and they're doing the right thing and now their Seasons in jeopardy

So they're all in the hotel.They've all stayed there.

I think it actually is pretty common for interstate teams to stay an extra day unless it's like Perth or something because they have family members in here, especially they have a seven day break.So they're probably entitled to that day off in between training sessions and stuff anyway.Yeah, so stayed here probably got told Hey, free night, go for it.Have a fun night.Don't don't need to necessarily rip the lid off things because we've got finals but You know, be smart about your actions.

But now Dean Cox has woken up seven 30 in the morning.He's probably planning for North Melbourne this week and then going, all right, like how do we manage the team going into finals?We've got second spot.We've probably got Brisbane or maybe Hawthorne coming.And now he's thinking, holy fuck.Now I have to deal with all this shit on top of it.

And then now, yeah, I mean, still a lot to play out.It's what, now 340, so a lot to play out.I'm sure there'll be more that comes out tonight.With details and what happens here, does the victim of this incident come forward and say something?Can they say anything legally?I guess now then you keep going forward once you get to the bottom of this, that if it is having an implication of their season, is there a suspension that comes from the AFL?

Is there something that happens now where the Swans have to make a stance here and do something?So is it where they now suspend players more, more severely than just the, a few games?If it's, if the stuff that you were being thrown around is something that's happened?

Well, if there is the, um, it was an aggregated assault charge or something that I saw on the, on Twitter.There's so much stuff going around, so I don't actually know.

Alleged sexual assault incident is what they're saying.

I don't think it's a meaning.It's, it's a matter of like, all right, what games are they going to miss?It's like, okay, they're going to be stood down.for a year or so, you know, there's there's much bigger implications and as we already said We're more concerned about the victim in this stage, but we are commenting on footy because we're a footy podcast So we're just gonna talk about that and and then you go deeper because where are they now?

So the Swans have come out and said that, uh, I don't think if they answer any questions, anyone's in custody or anything like that.Like this could be players that have been, I don't know what happens in this instance, but I assume that if something like this happens and if the stuff they're talking about is what actually transpired, then there would be people who, and players who have been either not in jail, but spending time with the police answering questions, all that kind of stuff today.

Yeah.Well, what would, what would happen is like those few that are involved would probably be in custody and then be split up so they can't corroborate on the story.and get their story together.They all would be individually assessed.

We hope that the victim victims are okay And they obviously priority here and also whatever Sydney have done if they have done, you know What is being alleged then the punishment they get will fit whatever they have done But could there be like an instance where the AFL just removed them from the competition like from the finals percent?Well sitting completely.

Back from the dead we are.Back from the dead.It feels great to finally have a coach.We have asked him to be our coach for a long, long time now.Three -year deal.They believe in him.

We did say last episode that he celebrated.Now, why was he celebrating?Was he celebrating something that he already knew?Sure enough, he knew, they knew.He was celebrating himself being the coach of the current football club.What a great man.

I'll get my time eventually.But then when they come to you and say, you've done all this, here's a three year deal.This might not ever come again.So take it.And the worst case scenario is he's at least been a head coach and fulfilled the goal of wanting to be a head coach.

So now he's, you later alluded to it this morning.You said he gets a free hit for finals.What happens next year?Is there an expectation to win?Like to go all the way?

Always, there always is. I think, you know what?

Is the pressure there to win a flag?

Delusion in all current fans is you win the flag every year.Reality says that you just have to improve from the year before.So again, you know, I'll stupidly say that I don't care what happens in finals anymore, where it's just been a free hit this whole season.1 -8, new coach, new system.That's just, it feels to me like we're going to give Josh Fraser now, the confidence of backing me for three years.He now gets a finals game experience with this list.

He then gets a preseason going into the next season where it's his team, his whole system, whatever he wants to do, bring in players, put out players.This is his now.

So yeah, and this is the scary thing because there's going to be expectation from that because he's got finals experience.He's got a whole preseason, gets a sword out of his list.Everything you just said makes me believe that there's even more pressure on Josh Frazer next year.
