Just had some random weird coincidences happen there Which kind of confused me for a bit, but I think we're all straight now But yeah, the tiny takeover is here everybody and whenever a new update comes out I do like to kind of show it off in the let's play series here is almost like a History archive like if you're watching the series in the future You can kind of see all the updates that happened and I kind of like to cover stuff, right?Thing is it's not a very impactful update.It's like we got new baby mob skins, which is amazing I think it's a good update definitely, but it doesn't actually change gameplay very much and So I was trying to think, like, what are we gonna do?Like, the big gimmick of this update is we got Goldie Dandelions now, which we can craft, and these are like a flower you can place and put in flower pots and stuff, right?But if you feed these to baby mobs, then they stay small forever, which is kind of cool.And we've got new baby mob textures for, like, all the mobs.
So I would like to see them, but I don't want to just, like, breed up a bunch of mobs and call it an episode.I want to try and make it a little bit more impactful to our world.And one idea we've had forever was to make some kind of mob zoo.Another idea we had a while ago was the wiki project idea, where we try to collect and display all the information about Minecraft in some cool collective way that's useful to us.We kind of gave up on that, but I want to bring it back in some way.Maybe not to the extent we originally planned.
But maybe we can split it up into smaller segments.Maybe we have one structure dedicated to collecting and displaying all the information about mobs somewhere in our world.right and That can kind of tie into what we want to do today as well, and there's even another mob idea I've been wanting to do that we're gonna combine into our build today almost like a mob bank like I wanted to have a parent pair for each type of mob in the game and then if I ever need a Mob for something I can breed them together and then take that baby on to the build a lot of mobs I've been skipping even when updates have come out.It started with the turtles I'd never got turtles and then it's like well, who cares if I miss a mob like I've broken the streak already So I skipped getting pandas.I skipped getting armadillos.I didn't get the new dogs.
I I did get the llamas when they came out, but then they all walked into cactus and died.So I don't have llamas.So we got to do some like collecting with mobs in general.I never did the rare mobs like the brown panda, the blue axolotl.So I want to take all these mob ideas we have and kind of do like a four birds with one stone type situation where we combine everything together into what we're calling the mob museum.Mm -hmm today.
We're mostly gonna focus on just collecting and displaying mobs I think that's that's my main goal and when it comes to displaying mobs The display is everything right if you don't have a good display, it's not gonna be a cool cool build So I've been tinkering with it.I think we can do like either rails you might do berries I'm not sure which of these is better.We're gonna do a little test here But this is the look I want.I want the dark oak shelves with carpets in the middle And I think this will look pretty nice.So let's get our little piggy friend here.We want him right in the middle.
See if he'll follow us up here.How hard is this going to be to actually get them into position and stuff?We break that.He did not seem to care.Might need to drop him through cobwebs or something just to get it perfect.But I think that's a pretty good idea.

Oh, that means this will work for a lot of mobs, like even even a lot of the hostile mobs, I think.OK, cool.We got another method here.We can use fall damage to keep them in place as well.So if we stack carpets, they think they're going to fall and they won't try to walk over that.The big thing is we need to have two methods of keeping the mobs in place, because like the berry bushes will work for most mobs, but they probably won't work for foxes, for example, because Foxes are immune to berry bush damage.
Now there is another option for the displays as well Like we have the flat display option here, but we can also do a raised display like maybe we put the light one block lower like that and then we use a wall or a fence for the middle and then carpet over that and That's a a wall is a block and a half tall if we try to put the pig on that He's gonna get raised up like half a block and just be floating.Yeah, look at that which might be a cool look as well because then you can actually see the texture underneath the pig.Okay so I think we got our basic plan figured out so the next question is where are we going to put this mob museum?We want like a big flat area I think so not in the amplified terrain but we don't want it near where we spend a bunch of time either because there's probably going to be hundreds of mobs at this thing which will be very laggy so we want itlike close enough where it's useful but far enough away where it's not annoying and like in a flat area that hopefully exists somewhere so this might be a spot up here this is actually pretty decent another potential spot is past our swamp we like never go this direction and i honestly don't even really know what's over here because i like just don't go this way we're gonna have to explore a lot today anyways to find mobs so maybe we'll just uh we'll check it out here we got a desert and then a big forest it looks like there's a nice flat forest this could work as well we got a wither over here apparently just still chilling dude how long has that guy been there okay so i think i'm liking the first spot we checked out a little bit more plus it might come in handy having all these different biomes nearby Like we got the plains, we got the swamp, the jungle, taiga.When do you ever see taiga and jungle next to each other?
Doesn't happen anymore.But we got it.And there's also ocean over here, which is one of the closest oceans to our main area.One thing we should do is leave a bit of space between the swamp and the plains in case we want to make some fancy entrance.We want we want space for that.We'll probably make a path that runs through the swamp up to this area, I would assume, because our main area is behind us there.
Now, as far as like the build, Don't have it planned like what whatsoever?The thing is we can't really even plan it like we can't do an exterior and then fill it up we have to build it inside out because We don't even know what the future holds for the mobs in the game We have to make it so like if they come out with a new big variant in three years that we have a space for it in our build or Maybe the Sasquatch comes out or something like that We have to make our build expandable and I think the best way of doing that is we have like some kind ofmain branch, main hallway, right?Similar to our endless storage room.And then we do these little sub branches connected to it.And maybe we have one for the chickens, one for the sheep, one for the rabbits, one for the cows.
Maybe we'll do like a two wide mangrove around the hallway and we're gonna strip this.Boy, that's annoying how it doesn't place it the way you want it to when the grass is there.Up, up, up, up, up, and shift -click.Aha, learning.Maybe we'll use the light gray terracotta for the walls.We're going for a build palette very similar to the library where it's like a lot of reds and browns.
All right, I really like that.Yeah, I think it's good with the jungle there.Yeah, I like that.And with that color, yeah, I think that color is fine.And then I want to put shelves around this as well.Just see what that kind of looks like.

then there's 17 baby variants of those sheep it's 34 mobs just for the sheep alone like it's gonna add up so quick how many of these things we need to build that simple is definitely gonna be good for me and if we keep it simple we can build this very quickly so I almost think we just do the next one right here and don't get too fancy with the design like we almost want a clean look to this as well just because the focus is supposed to be on the mobs not so much on the build i knew it it's just turning day and it started raining but we're going to be able to sleep the rain away because we stayed up all night otherwise it would have started raining during the day on us gotta decide right now are they too close together or is this fine i i feel like it's like right on that verge of being too cramped i think i'm okay with it actually yeah i i think we'll go with that Cool.So then I think to bridge the gap between the two, we'll just put like some, uh, dark oak trapdoors.We might even do them in the front as well.Yeah.I love that.I love the texture on those things.
So good.It's also a slightly different color, which will help add a little variety to this as well.Yeah.Then if we want to keep the pattern really simple in the back here, we'll just do a post wherever the mangrove is.Right.Cause then that will be, well, maybe we put one here too for the corner and then that's five blocks again.

Oh no, it is dark.Alright, everybody.Well, I've been building for a little bit here.We're making good progress.It's going very smooth, but once again, I'm always humbled by this game.I always think I can do, like, so much until I actually start doing it, and it's like, oh yeah, stuff takes a lot of time in this game.
Like, even... even at the most well thought out and planned ideas.Well, that's not good.We only got four dead bushes?On Hermitcraft, I know I got like 10 stacks of these things, but I think in my single player here I may have never collected these.I'm not sure.I wanted these for the the plants over here But let's let's explore a couple other options like we could do jungle here.

Get started freeWe could do bamboo We could do Azalea also kind of works Definitely not jungle.The bamboo actually looks pretty good, right?So this is our chicken room at the moment But I think we're gonna make some adjustments because I did this this was our first room we did And it's a little dark, right?I think it's too dark in here.So then for the pig room, I decided to change it up a little bit.And we added some lights here instead under some trap doors.
And I think this room is looking a lot better, right?I do kind of want to add a little bit more green in here, like the green accents are so good with this build, like this palette.But the only place I can think of adding them is like just hanging leaves in places.But I know that's like a thing we do in Minecraft, but it doesn't really make sense in real life, you know?Like having just random leaves.And honestly, having those in the middle, nah, nah, that's not gonna work.
With the shelves or without the shelves?I think I'm preferring with the shelves, right?And then I was also thinking for around the...displays here, we would add in some oak wood as well.Just little, little bits of it in places.Is that better or does that make it worse?
It definitely wastes more time.Yeah, I'm not feeling the jungle wood.We're getting rid of it.
I like the packed mud, though, for sure.
Well, we are working on a very large build, so we are just chewing through the resources so fast.I had to take a little pause from the building, and we're doing a resource run right now.I've removed the bottom TNT, so I don't have to worry about it blowing up the mud anymore, which is kind of nice, because there's no wood down at the bottom anyway, right?It's just these, whatever you call it, the roots or whatever.So I don't really need to harvest these.I get plenty of them just from them being in my way all the time.
Now I've noticed like we lose a lot of wood when the second TNT drops because not all the wood gets out of the way.It lands on a bunch of stuff and then gets blown up by the second one.So I've been experimenting with just quickly removing this like fourth layer of debris and do a little spin around kind of thing.That way the stuff can drop down.They're going to drop down.See that's what we want We want none of the logs to land up there because if they do they're gonna get blown up by the second one Just about four stacks perfectly.
So that's that's what I was looking for with the harvest Nice, I gotta say my game is running pretty smoothly now like right after I updated it felt very choppy And I didn't really have anything going on on my computer I think maybe minecraft does some background processing like it lets you play the game right away, but But then it maybe it goes through all your chunks and updates them after you get into the game because for like a few hours It was it was pretty choppy.I was thinking it was a bad update, but now it's all nice and smooth Oh, and by the way, there is a really cool feature with dead bushes in the game now which I just recently realized like you remember when we got the new cactus flowers and deserts andmesas they started having this ambient background like the wind blowing rustling leaves in the background I thought that was linked to the the biome similar to how nether biomes are constantly making sounds no it's actually due to the dead bushes in those biomes and like the more of them you have around I think the more often it triggers you hear that So you can just summon in the sound wherever you want it in your world, just with the dead bushes.You gotta place them on like two blocks of sand, or you can even have finer control, like if you put them on terracotta, they'll play, but they'll play less often.Yeah, so that's really cool, like let's say you had a summit of a mountain somewhere in your world and you wanted it to sound windy, you just put a couple of these under the ground and suddenly...Your mountaintop is going to start making windy sounds.
OK, so I think it's time for an update on the project here.So I've been working on this for like three or four days nonstop, like 10 hours a day, building as fast as I could.And I did not get as much done on it as I was hoping just yet.But we got quite a bit done here.So I'll just show you where we're at.This room here is going to be for the cows.
That's our chicken room.That's our pig room.And then this one's for our rabbits.There are seven different types of rabbits in the game.I'm still deciding like do we do the dinner bone mobs and and have those upside down?Like we got we got some decisions left to make on this but this is what really killed me the sheep room.
Oh my goodness From this end all the way to the other end is about 180 blocks just to give you a point of reference I thought we needed for the adult sheep and the baby sheep like 34 in total and But we also need the sheared sheep texture on display.So that's 51 mobs just for the sheep alone.And I would like to have every mob texture on display as well.our museum.That's one of my goals.So yeah, we do need the space.
And even though it's just a repeating pattern, pretty easy to do.Is this a lot of blocks?Lots of blocks.I'll give you the overview as well, what it's looking like right now.But I'm ready for a quick little change here.Maybe let's go actually explore and try to find some mobs for the museum.
And that could be a little bit fun.So I set up some portals here.one for the lower part of our nether, one for the upper part of our nether and I also scouted out a location where we could potentially get some new mobs.One of my main goals is just to scout out the location and check out what kind of mobs we've got around and especially we want to try collect any baby wolves we find.They're going to be the by far the most difficult thing to collect for our museum because once you tame a wolf they get that collar on them and then that's like an overlay to the texture and I want the The the wolf texture without the collar on but you can't breed wild wolves, right?so the only way to get a baby wolf is if they naturally spawn in which has a very low rates and Over time they're gonna grow up to an adult.
So if you miss your chance, you're not gonna get them So I gotta like try spot them first here before they grow up and also Like if we're in the area for a long time eventually skeletons are gonna spawn and they are gonna kill all the wolves I think so we got to kind of get these guys out of here See like we're hoping there's gonna be a baby with one of these packs, but unfortunately, I don't see one here There's a lot of wolves though.Like we could have got one Not sure.Can we lead a wild wolf because that would make it a little easier to get them to share boats Oh, you can't okay good.Nice.So we got two in one boat there They also have different sounds they can make so we might want to try display the different sounds to some extenttoo.
Oh sweet Okay, we got longhorn cows here too.We're gonna need those for sure.That's what is this?Looks like some some more wolves.

No, it's an old You look kind of small the pretty cool area though.I gotta say like this is fun, too Like we're building the mall museum, which is which is a cool build I think like a fun project but also gives us a reason to go exploring and Like learn some mob mechanics as well and you know, I think it's a fun project overall.Just doing a bunch of different things here.Yeah, I like this area a lot actually, this is really nice.I wanted to check out, we gotta go look for the pandas at the bamboo.Can we find a panda in this gigantic bamboo forest?

Get started freeI brought back some, some hot chicken eggs.I got to learn the names of these things too, by the way.So I'm hoping we can just spawn one in and get lucky.We got a pair.Plus one of the the pale wolves the wild ones right and even apparently these guys only spawn in a pack of one So they're pretty hard to get we got we got one of them though from I think a grove biome on top of a mountain and then the cold pigs cold cow and I'm hoping we can get some breeding pens going here and everyone gets over safely now I'm gonna leave the wolves in the nether because I'm a little worried if we bring them They are gonna get attacked by a traitor llama crew, you know They're going to spit them to death.So until we actually have a safe place, it's not wise to bring them to the overworld.
Now you might have noticed, no baby wild wolves.I was really hoping to get those.Yeah, it used to be baby wild wolves would spawn with a 5 % chance.Ever since the buzzy bug.update like when bees came out in 1 .15 so in bedrock edition you still have a 10 % chance of getting baby wild wolves but i believe in java they can that feature i'm assuming When the new wolf skins came out, but I'm not sure The wiki doesn't actually say when they removed it.So maybe it's not even removed.
I'm just getting super unlucky I don't know.It could be that too Let's see if we get lucky here cuz I'm oh, yeah right away.That's the new little guys.I love these new little chickens I think they're pretty cool now We need to get at least two.Well, no, we even with one we can we can make this work.Oh that works out perfect Okay, we'll let those guys grow up And then we'll breed these guys.
But you know, since you could get baby wolves before, if I have any of my unloaded chunks somewhere, I did a little test.You can feed them golden dandelions if they're wild, and they will stay wild and baby forever.And that's like a super rare mob.So if I ever see one, I'm going to be ready for it.I know I've had trouble with this gate before, trying to get mobs through it.And go, go, go, go, go.

I think of all the new mobs, it's the baby zombie guys that are really throwing me.Oh, he kind of just shifted on the chicken, didn't he?He's like off on the side now.Now he's on the other side.I'm trying to figure it out.I think they just randomly change positions every so often, right?

Yeah, but anyways, this brings up the question like We put them in the museum to probably right like should we try to collect one of each?There's three different chicken types and like at least ten different baby mob types.So that's like 30 total I would I would assume It's a lot But then there's like lots of different like baby zombie villagers, right?I don't know.I don't know the best way of doing this Let's go ahead and just name them and and we'll think about it.I don't want them to despawn on us Get out of the grass Okay, so we'll name him a warm chicken.
This guy, baby zombified piglin, I think is his proper name.And then we will get him up here.I just want to see what they look like in one of these holding areas too.We'll use the bunny tunnel for now, just to hold this guy.Since we didn't find a single bunny, where are the bunnies is my question.I guess maybe we didn't go to any biomes with them in?

It might have went out I did hear fire above us for a second though in the tiny takeover update.We have gotten a couple new recipes I just want to check this to make sure yep, there it is So you make cobblestone from stone now, which is incredible and we don't have to use our fortune pick on it to get it anymore and we can also convert deep slate into cobbled deep slate and all the variants and stuff which is which is amazing so that's something i've been wanting for quite a while as a lot of people have so it is cool to see it made into the game another really cool thing is we can now craft name tags i believe it was iron yeah iron and paper pretty cheap actually yeah so with the mob museum we gotta decide like how much information do we want to display about the mobs like uh i think one thing we could do is just add their names at least at the very least so when we hover over them we can see their their proper name i think that's the proper name anyway warm chicken it's not hot chicken it's warm chicken and cold chicken and i think these guys are just called like warm cold chickentemperate chicks.The shelves here.We could put banners with letters or numbers in or symbols even.Like maybe we add a thing here for how many hearts the mob has.
We could do that.We could have like one for their XP amount and the size of the mob.You know, there's a lot of things we could add about the mob.Maybe even in the back here, we could add information about what they drop or what item we need to breed them.I don't know, like, gotta try to figure out, like, what's worth showing.Maybe, maybe we just keep it simple and just, just the name is enough, right?
And put the rest in here.Uh, cause if we add a lot of stuff on the walls and on the shelves here, we also have the space above here we could potentially put banners in.Um, But it might clutter up the look of everything, so it might not be a good idea.Oh, and by the way, this is definitely the part of the episode where I could use some feedback, because I'm struggling internally on like a lot of little decisions here.Like the naming, for example.Do we call them chicks?
Because I think on the wiki they call them chicks.I don't know what they're referred to, like the tag in game.I haven't checked that.But the thing is, I kind of doubt these are called piglets, right?Which is like what their proper name should be.I think these are just referred to Baby pigs on the wiki and I'm guessing in -game as well and likewise like the cows I dealt they're called calves So maybe we just call everything baby.
Whatever it is, right like baby pig baby chicken baby cow.I don't know Because that way it's a consistent system at least Warm pig cold pig.Yeah, so we got our pig room all populated here, which is awesome The other thing we got to decide is what do we do about like armor and saddles that we put on mobs?because it gets a little crazy if we try to display every single thing because leather armor for examplea horse It's got like a million possibilities, right?So we have to set some limits Yeah, so some mobs can wear armor some mobs can be equipped with chests Some mobs can be equipped with saddles and some saddles have 16 different colors.
So you take llamas for example there's eight different types of llamas and then 16 different types of saddles for them.It's a lot of different combinations that you want to display them all.So how do we do it?Because originally with the pigs, I was just thinking, oh, I just have three pigs at the end with the saddle on and then we can see the saddle texture on these guys.Right.But because some get super crazy amounts of combinations, I almost think we need to do some kind of redstone system.

Okay.I got you.I got you This does not take the chest off though either now Obviously we'd want to try to make this look a little nicer and more control with the redstone and all that stuff But this is I think probably our best option when it comes to things with a lot of combinations You know just probably use some kind of skulk sensor system when we shear it it'll it'll put the next one on either in a cycle or randomly and then we we like collect it with a hopper and send it back in and then we'll probably have some controls if we want to cycle through armor through saddles through chests or whatever i don't know is roughly what i'm thinking with this and then we'll have that at the very end like in the prime spotover there.I think the other option for that spot though is to...Maybe use the dinner bone tag on on some of the mobs if we take the cow room for example here We have five different types of cows and each of those has a baby most rooms are gonna have an even amount of mobs because of that because there's gonna be a baby corresponding to the adult and then What do we put at the very end because I do not like how it looks when this end spot is blank So we had decided like what should be the prime focus?
Mob here.I just put a default cow and I was thinking we dinner bone it That's not how you dinner bone.Is it lowercase?Ah, lowercase, okay.
The only problem with doing a dinner bone is it looks a little goofy, right?
And then I got this weird feeling like it's just the one texture and I'm not doing it to all the different types of textures.And it feels a little incomplete as well.So maybe we just put like a mob in a minecart at the end if there's nothing else to do.Oh, and by the way, we did manage to get all the sheep moved into the museum and bred up and all that stuff.Honestly, the sheep is one of the easier mobs for us to do because we didn't really have to collect them.There's only like one type of sheep and then we're free to dye them to the color we need when they're in position here.
So it's actually really easy.Now we can't shear the baby sheep, only the big ones.So we don't have to worry about that texture.But yeah, we're going to go through here, dye them all.I think for these branches, by the way, I think we're hitting the limit on the length of this hallway.I think maybe four or five should be our limit.
And then we'll probably start another floor above this or two or three, because it's going to be a lot of mobs.Honestly, I was a little worried about this room.It might look boring because it's all the same sheep texture, just different colors.But no, with all the color in that, it looks pretty good.I think it turned out pretty good.Yeah, so I'm happy with this room.
ended up putting the jeb sheep at the very end here in the prime spot but he might get moved to here because that's that's kind of the pattern right and then this guy we might end up moving to the other room so this this room we're in right now this is like the the fun sheep room okay these are the ones that like to have a good time and then this is like the business sheep over here you know they're just going about their day business as usual.We got the whites, the grays, the blacks in here, and then all the sheared sheep I ended up putting together.So maybe the jeb sheep gets moved to that end spot actually.Would make a bit more sense maybe.But yeah, I made a gigantic mistake and I'm kicking myself in the face.I didn't even know I could stretch that far, but yeah.
Oh man, I sheared them thinking I could dye them after because I wanted just like one type of wool in my inventory.He can't he can't die them once they're sheared and they're not gonna regrow their wool because there's no grass So I gotta I gotta fix this somehow so dumb think maybe if I if I do this now, it's too high I'd have to remove this and then that and hopefully he'll climb up on that, but he's trying to leave I think climb climb in the middle darn.Yeah, I probably got to reset all these Unfortunately, ah another day.Did you know you got to worry about leader mobs now?Yeah That wasn't a leader.He wasn't scary.
But there are leaders out there.They've been among us all this time, but they always had the same health as a normal zombie.But now, all zombies have a chance of being a leader.That guy's a leader!You see how many times I hit him?He's not going down.
Dude's a beast!It took up an explosion to take him out.So in the tiny takeover update, they fixed the bug with leader mobs.All zombies could be leaders before, but they always had the same health as a normal zombie.But now they can get up to like 50 hearts, I believe, compared to the usual 20.And that's that's baby zombies and all zombie variants.
So zombie pigmen, the drowned, they can be leaders.You know, the trident throwing guys riding Nautiluses, those could be leaders.And You actually have to be kind of careful.If you've noticed your zombie pigment farm has a bunch of mobs in it now, it's because those are probably leaders and they're not falling far enough because they got 50 hearts.Yeah, and they're surviving the fall damage now.Oh, and there's one more feature I almost forgot about in this update.
We got the trumpet sounds with note blocks now.Four different ones, I believe.And they sound great.Yeah, it's so good.Very high pitched.You know, sometimes you got to release them quick.
Oh my goodness.The different pitches, depending on the state of the the copper block.It is honestly a really good sound for for songs.But this one, this one might need a reworking.I don't know that first note.Cool.
Well, I think we got a solid start on this project today.And I got to say, I really enjoyed working on it, too.It's a lot of fun.We got to kind of show off the new update a bit.What's new with it?And at the same time we got a bunch of mobs for our world that's going to help us long term as well it's not just

Get started freeI kind of dread doing the tours these days.I think they're they're good that I do them It's good for you guys and any new new viewers that want to start watching.But yeah, they're they've gotten so long and so complicated that it's I It's not an easy episode to make.I originally started doing the tours as like a cheat episode because I didn't have to design anything for the episode.I just had to walk around my world talking like that's, that's a, that's like a dream episode for me.Right.
