four time Stanley Cup champion Claude Lemieux has died by suicide.Just absolutely tragic news coming out of the hockey world as we have learned that Claude, a 21 year NHL vet and again a four time Stanley Cup champion, has died at the age of 60.Now TMZ Sports can confirm that this was suicide and that Claude was found Thursday morning at at a business that was owned by his family in Florida.Claude Lemieux was somebody who was known for his rough and his aggressive play on the ice, but was somebody that was really well liked and respected off of the ice.
He played for a bunch of teams during his fantastic career, including the Canadiens, the Devils, the Avalanche, the Coyotes, the Stars, and the Sharks.Again, four times he reached the pinnacle of the hockey world, winning the Stanley Cup in 1986, 1995, 1996 and 2000.In fact, one of those years he won the Conn Smythe Award, which is given to the best playoff performers.
That's just how good Claude Lemieux was on that ice.Now, despite the fact that he had retired Many years ago from the game, he was still involved.
