Fact-checking the latest Epstein news

Did the Department of Justice in 2019 write a press release that Jeffrey Epstein was dead a day before he died? Also, is Epstein not dead, still very much alive and playing Fortnite? As far as we know, that press release was just a clerical error, but yeah, it's pretty strange. And all the evidence that he's still alive comes from an alleged guard who posted on 4chan that other commenters theorized that he was still alive without any evidence. The Fortnite thing has been debunked.

Someone just saw his handle on YouTube in the Epstein files, took it, and then pretended to be him on Fortnite. While these theories don't hold a lot of water, they speak to a larger problem. The Trump administration has not been very transparent about the files released and the redactions made. Because even though they released 3 million of the 6 million Epstein documents, they were heavily redacted, violating the Epstein Transparency Act.

So starting this week, members of Congress have been allowed to read 3 million of the

pages unredacted inside of a reading room.

And some of the stuff I read was just gross.

They can't take electronic devices inside, but they are allowed to take notes.

You know, like with a pen or pencil.

Remember note-taking. Today Attorney General Pam Bondi spoke before a House Judiciary Committee about her handling of the

documents. There is no evidence that Donald Trump has committed a crime. Everyone knows that. This has been the most transparent presidency. I believe

you just lie under oath. So despite what the White House would like, we're moving on from that. The constant drip of new information continues to implicate new people. Like a French politician, Norwegian diplomat, and former president of the UN General Assembly. Then there's the current Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, who had previously told a story about how he had distanced himself from Epstein in 2005.

again. But on Tuesday, he admitted to having lunch on the island in 2012 with his wife, children, and nannies present. There's also the different accounts of when Trump cut ties with Epstein. His statements and the files continue to contradict what happened. All of these men who previously made statements about Epstein seem to have had closer relationships with him than they previously stated.
