Felca dived into the theme of the children's exhibition on the internet for about a year, and published the video Adultizaçãoo on August 6. One of the targets was the influencer Italo Santos. I spent the whole day with a certain distress all day. When it was 1am, I got up the courage and pressed the button.

And after that, everything changed. When I woke up, there were about 4 million views. This number skyrocketed and the video reached millions of people all over Brazil.

Among them, Cristiane, mother and teacher.

A mother of a friend of my son approached me and it was a shock. It shocked me, it disgusted me, it made me sad.

So far, the video has been watched more than 44 million times.

I imagined it would have a high repercussion, because it's a very sensitive subject, but this level of reach is impossible.

When I went to teach on Monday, that was the subject. And I have my social network open. When I want to show an activity to encourage other teachers, I filmed with my son. Excessive use of screens and social media can lead to situations

that this young brain is not prepared for.

There are criminals looking for material to distort, manipulate and spread in the underworld of pedophilia. Our team discovered the market of criminal lives,

often negotiated by the victim's own family.

Social networks have algorithms that indicate content according to the behavior of each user. So, for example, if you like a photo of a tourist destination, you will receive many other travel content. In Felca's video, he shows how this logic can benefit pedophilia on Instagram, by spreading images that sexualize minors. He called it Algorithm P.

The algorithm knows that these videos exist, knows that there are consumers, and unites these two things. But, is there a way to fight this?

Without a doubt. There are technologies today for age verification. These are technologies that did not exist 10, 15 years ago, and today they already exist. The P algorithm that Felper describes is a didacticactic tool he uses to describe a concept of systemic failure. An effect that is to violate fundamental rights

and put the security of users of the platform itself. Meta, the owner of Instagram, said there are strict rules against child sexualization. The company says it removes these contents as soon as they are identified and that it recently announced new measures to make it difficult for adults with potentially suspicious behavior to find accounts that predominantly contented with children.

The repercussions of the video also took over the debates in Brasília.

My concern was this, to raise awareness. I wanted to bring this issue to light. The agenda is in Congress, and there are MPs from the left and the right

supporting the regulation of social media.

It is very appropriate for to have a public hearing, to have a discussion about the PL 2628. The children are crying for protection. They can't take it anymore.

The Project 2628, by Senator Alessandro Vieira, from the MDB, has already been approved in the Senate and is ready to be voted on in the House.

They have the tools,

so they know perfectly well if it's a child or an adult who is using the tool. They know perfectly well what content is circulating, but they only care about extracting data and the performance of that. They don't care about child and adolescent protection. The President of the House, Hugo Mota, said he will consider the urgency of the P.L. vote

under the report of the deputy Jadiel Alencar of the Republicans. The bill 2628 2022 seeks a legal framework, bringing a clear regulation, bringing the good international practices that already work very well outside Brazil for our legislation. Among the mechanisms provided in the bill are the requirement to verify the actual age, the obligation for platforms to offer effective parental controls and the immediate withdrawal of content of abuse

or exploitation of children and adolescents.

This is a super-partisan agenda, it's an agenda of Brazil,

where all families have interests.

What chance do we have to manage this without a law?

Felca commented on the motivation behind the viral video.
