Fernandes AND Scott TRANSFER Talk! Hackney DEAL Off! Man Utd Transfer News

Hello, everybody.Welcome to the United Stands.I'm Mark Goldbridge.This is your latest Manchester United transfer news.And we've got a raft of exciting updates coming in from David Ornstein this morning.I would say this is, yes, it is the most exciting 10 a .

m.show we've had of this summer transfer window because most of it involves things I would want to happen and I think you as well.Talks with Fernandes at West Ham.Alex Scott moving up the list very high up the list and unlikely to sign a new contract at Bournemouth.I'm rubbing my hands together at this one.We'll come back to that.

Lewis Hall mentioned as well.I'm rubbing my hands together as well.And also Hayden Hackney's not coming to Manchester United.Get in a few other bits to talk about as well.But yes, it's it's very, very interesting, isn't it?I mean, I did a video this morning on Hayden Hackney and got a load of abuse from it, from the, you know, the hackney hipsters.

And I said in that video this morning, I actually said he's more suitable to Everton or Crystal Palace.David Ornstein an hour later does an article saying he's chosen to join Everton, but Crystal Palace and Spurs are interested.I mean, it literally is the right move for him and best of luck.But it's not what Man United should be looking at.What Man United should be looking at is Fernandes at West Ham and Scott at Bournemouth.That's what we should be looking at.

We've also got updates on Anderson and a few other bits as well.Loads to get into, loads of reaction, and it all sort of centres this morning on a piece that was done by David Ornstein.They call it the transfer deal sheet.Spoken about a lot of clubs.Elliot Anderson is mentioned in relation to Manchester City.But in relation to Manchester United, and let me just give a little bit of credit here.

It's not just David Ornstein doing this.It's David Ornstein.There's a load of other journalists involved.Mark Critchley, James Pearce, Sam Lee, Jay Harris, James McNicholas, Sebastian Stafford -Bloor.Loads of people involved, but they call it the athletic deal sheet.And certainly David Ornstein's name is attached to it.

So what it's saying is thatto Manchester United, first and foremost, and I want to start off with Alex Scott, actually, even though it mentions Fernandes and it does mention Lewis Hall.So fasten your seatbelts, get your comments ready.Essentially, I'll do Elliot Anderson in a moment because that's about Man City more than it's about us.So it says that it's no secret that Man United's priority heading into this summer is midfield.Casimiro's leaving, Bruno's staying.

They need greater depth down the left -hand side as well.Carrick has been involved in the recruitment meetings and has had that input.Despite Casimiro's resurgence United are arguably trying to replace Carrick himself Which was 2000 and whenever when he left 2017 they want to find the right partner for Mainu and are there any specific players?They're targeting.This is all on the athletic by the way United are in advanced talks with Atalanta regarding midfielder Edison He's long been tracked by old Trafford's recruitment department and appeals is because because of his contract expiring in a year Which has brought his price down But also understand man United's midfield shortlist is Fernandez Edison belabor Scott and more.Analyzing those particular players, Mateus Fernandes is a player of interest with United having held talks already over a potential fee and wages, which is a big update.

West Ham have got little choice but to sell.But with Alex Scott is a potential target.The 22 year old is in talks with Bournemouth over a new contract with his deal set to run until 2028.So two years left.As things stand, an extension with Bournemouth is seen as unlikely and United have made inquiries as to the cost of a deal.Now, look, look, let me just say this right here.

now I've been talking about Alex Scott on this channel for about three months I haven't I look I always be honest Bournemouth didn't take a massive amount of notice of Bournemouth up until about February time right Truffaut's a very good player I'd seen him a few times.Remarkably, his first ever game for Bournemouth was at Anfield and he was brilliant.Scott, in the last few months, and look, Ben says Scott's not the answer, but tell me why, because I'm about to tell you why I think he is.I've seen him play probably five times since March.I think he should have been in the England squad.He is with the England squad as a standby player.

Watching him against us, watching him against Arsenal, watching him these last few weeks, there is a very interesting player there.And if we don't get him, he will end up at Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Man City.He will.He's not going to stay at Bournemouth all his career and he's not going to end up at bloody Everton.He won't.He'll end up at a big club and he'll be a big part of the English midfield landscape for the next five years.

He's not going to sign a new contract at Bournemouth.So we either wait a year and we get him with one year left on his contract or we do a deal now.Now, what I don't like about Man United is we're quite likely to wait a year.Well, another year of development and a year in Europe will just, you know, increase the competition.There are a lot of teams looking at a lot of midfielders at the moment.And, you know, £50 million might seem a lot, but I don't think it is.

And it might not even be that much.Two years left on his contract at Bournemouth.50, I'm saying max, you might get something like 40 with add -ons.I'd happily give 40 with 20 in add -ons, I would.It's hard to judge what his price would be.But you know what?

I'm not sure about...I'm really passionate about this, by the way.I'm not sure about Michael Carrick.I really...You know, Iriola's probably going to Liverpool.Should we have done that?

Should we have pushed harder for Tuchel?You know, Carrick's another interim like Oli.I'm not sure about Carrick and no one's going to convince me about that.But if you buy a player like this...That makes me more excited about what could happen with Carrick because Carrick was a tall midfielder and Alex Scott is a tall midfielder.He's got an amazing shot on him.

He's got, he reminds me a little, I don't know whether anybody watched Baller League and I know it's completely different, but he reminds me a little bit of Alfie Matthews.I know they've got similar hair, but he's got that ability to score a goal out of nothing, but he's also really good on the ball.He can conduct, he can make a tackle.I think he's a special talent, but I think he's a special talent in a team like ours.I think he suits the way we want to play as a team.So if Carrick and Wilcox and Barada get Scott...

Oh God!I said Wilcox and I sneezed, I'm allergic to him.If they get a player like that, then that makes me more on board with this project.I genuinely think Alex Scott at Manchester United makes us really exciting and he's homegrown as well.Like, we have got to start thinking about homegrown players.We have to.

You know our homegrown quota?It basically has been.Apart from Mainu, it's people like Luke Shaw, Mason Mouw, Harry Maguire.These players are not our future.Alex Scott would be.I think he's a fantastic player.

I think he's good on the ball, physical.got a great engine, can get a shot off.We want to transition into a more possession -based team.I think Alex Scott's a really interesting one.Look, I'm not saying we're going to get Fernandes or Scott, but what I am saying is there's two players there that I'd be very happy with.

Now, what I do need to do is I need to do a video on Scott.because I haven't done enough.

I haven't done enough around what he's like, but I'd be very excited about this.I don't like the mention of Buleba.It does say Buleba in there, and I'm not going to mess about about that.It literally does say Buleba is there on the shortlist, and I'm not particularly happy about that.But Fernandes and Scott do excite me.Now, look, Going back to what it says about Fernandes, because it does say Manchester United have held talks about a fee and wages with Fernandes.

Now, what does that mean?That means we've held talks about fees and wages.Now, essentially, what that means is, is that we've spoken to West Ham and we've spoken to the player.West Ham have little choice to sell of course, but talks have been held over a potential fee and wages.initial sort of contact around fee and, as I said, wages.I don't think wages are going to be a massive problem.

And look, I want to make it very, very clear.I do not want Edison, Fernandes and Scott.I mean, I'd take that than Belayber being in there, but I'm not going to be a hypocrite.And tell me your thoughts.Would you be happy with Edison, Fernandes and Scott?Because I wouldn't.

That for me would be, you know, with Menuh as well, you've got four players.three of which aren't used to Champions League and Premier League at the same time, one of which is not used to the Premier League.So Edison, Meunier, Fernandes and Scott.You'd get them all for under £150 million.But no, there's got to be a marquee signing in there.Well, look, I mean, that's breaking news just coming out now from Romano around Iriola.

That becomes a problem for Alex Scott because the sooner Iriola's in, the sooner he can go and have a look.Now, look, what I'm hoping is going to happen, but there's no guarantee.Well, in fact, it won't happen because he's out of contract at Bournemouth.With sporting, we weren't allowed as part of the deal to go back and get sporting players for eight months.We got Amer in in the November and we weren't allowed to go in until the following summer and we never did.I think he's out of contract at Bournemouth, so he can just go back in there and do that.

And he's going to want, like Kelvin says, he's going to want those players.Look, ultimately, My doubt over Carrick is going to continue is my prediction.I think Iriola was an interesting choice for United.We didn't take it.Liverpool did.I think Alex Scott is a good choice for Man United.

I don't think we'll take it.I think Liverpool will.So, you know, there we go.Ben says, I'd rather buy the commentator Alex Scott.I don't know what your problem is with Scott, Ben.That's two now.

I just I don't get it.I mean, But look, I respect it, but I think he'd be a good signing.I think we'll get Fernandez from West Ham.Patrick Lynch says, with all the midfield options, it's about what direction we'd go with for play and style and pick players that suit that.My worry is we get players and try to put square pegs in round holes.No matter who we get, some will dislike them.

Absolutely.I mean, Patrick is predominantly the voice of reason, and I think he's absolutely right.spot -on.I've said this before, the problem with the midfield selections for Man United this summer is that they are wide and varied and I don't know whether we're living in this world society -wise anyway.It's a very opinionated world now.And it's certainly an opinionated world in football.

And I don't even know if there's a manager that Man United could have got apart from Enrique, where everyone would have been excited and we would never get an Enrique.I don't know whether there's a summer signing where everybody agrees.If we get Anderson, some people will want Tonali and Chiomini.If we get Tonali, some people will want Anderson.That's very dangerous for Manchester United.I don't think it's something that Manchester United's board are intelligent enough to take on board, by the way.

Football is an entertainment business.Social media is a huge part of that.Social media is a sounding board.And we've seen it with Dorgoo, we've seen it with Agaté, we've seen it with De Ligt, we've seen it with Yoro.These are players that have had their detractors, not just in the fan base, but in the media, ex -players.I mean, who was it who said about De Ligt, he's like Harry Maguire, he's slow.

I mean, and this is what I mean, and it sticks.So I think Patrick's right.I think we all need to accept The midfielders we buy, we ain't going to be happy.We're going to buy three.Am I going to get the three midfielders I really, really want?Am I going to get Tenali, Scott and Fernandes?

No, I'm not.I'm not going to get it.I'm not.So I'm going to have to be, I'm going to have to look at the balance.And I think Patrick is right.We won't all get what we want.

And also we will have to, you know, look at the construction of it and what we're going to do.I prefer Scott, but I guess he's going to go to Liverpool, says Parry.Yep.Emily Derry, also a good voice of reason, says Scott might sign a new contract with Bournemouth with understanding they let him go in either January or next summer.Meanwhile, he becomes more expensive, like Semenyu last season, says Emily.He might do.

He might do.But also, Emily, if you think about it from Scott's position, he is that close to going to the World Cup.I think he deserves to go to the World Cup.Why is he not going to the World Cup?Because Maneu has taken his spot.Why has Maneu took his spot?

Because he plays centre midfield for Manchester United for three months.Scott plays in a midfield that's been unbeaten the longest out of any team in Europe.They finish sixth in the Premier League and he doesn't go to the World Cup.But Maneu does.I'm not saying Maneu shouldn't go.I'm happy if Maneu's going.

But if Scott was in Man Utd's midfield and Maneu was in Bournemouth's field, I think Scott goes.So what I'm saying is, if he wants to stay at Bournemouth, that's up to him.If he wants to go and play for Liverpool or Man Utd, he'll get in the England squad a lot quicker.That's just life.That's the way it is.So and he was that close to going to the World Cup and the Euros are in two years and it's a very competitive midfield.

And Anderson's going to be playing for a top four team next year.Maynew is, you know, Wharton might be as well.So if you look at it like that, staying at Bournemouth probably doesn't do a lot for your England career.Watching the Hackney video, him being a lot like Mainu would be a bench player for Mainu.Edison is different, whereas Hackney is close to Cobby.Look, look, really good comments coming in.

But essentially, Big article in The Athletic, David Ornstein involved in that as well.Man United have held talks about a fee and wages with Fernandes.Alex Scott is..Man United's list and is unlikely to sign a new contract at Bournemouth.We've got an Anderson and Lewis Hall updates to come as well.But on Hayden Hackney, it says in this article, that, as per reported by David Ornstein, United, like Hayden Hackney, who played under Carrick at Middlesbrough, but he's lower on their list of targets and a move to Old Trafford is not anticipated.

As it stands, the midfielder's preference this summer is to join Everton.Now, look, yesterday morning, we had this story from the North East correspondent that Man United were interested.As I said last night, I felt that that might be a little bit of, you know, boost the price.say that Man United are interested.I did a video this morning on Hackney, spoke to a few people about him, watched a few videos about him, did a little bit of statistical analysis around him.And I actually entitled the video Hayden Hackney makes no sense.

It doesn't make any sense to Manchester United.We're talking about going into the Champions League and trying to be competitive in the Premier League.We're going to buy Edison.We're only going to buy three midfielders.Edison is a bit of a risk.And then you buy Hackney, who's more of a risk than Edison because he's never played in the Premier League and he's never played in Europe.

That is not the sort of signing United should be making.If you're buying Edison, the next two players need to be ready to go.Because Edison, in a sense, is ready to go, but he will need an adjustment period, potentially, because he's never played in the Prem.You bring Hayden Hackney from the Championship, he needs a bloody, he might need two years.You know, he might take two months.But it never made any sense to me.

And I actually said on the video, this is a player that Everton sign.Forrest sign, Crystal Palace sign, absolutely.Crystal Palace bought in Wharton from the Premier League, from the Championship and it worked.Everton took James Garner from us and it worked.You bring in McMahon United, I can't see where he gets game time, he can't be one of the three.so I think that, look, Hayden Hackney, thankfully, is off the list now, and I'm happy about that.

But look, I...I've got to say, his passing stats are very good.I've got to say, you know, it's an interesting signing to bring into the Premier League, and I think he does deserve that.

I just don't think, with us signing Edison, I don't think it suits what Man United are trying to do at the moment.So for me, I'm quite happy about that update, and I'd much rather we were focusing on the likes of Scott and Anderson and Fernandes, etc.

I think I'd go for Belabor over Hackney.Yeah, I think I would.Right, let me talk to you about Lewis Hall, and then I'll talk to you about Anderson.So this was the update about Lewis Hall in The Athletic today.Lewis Hall is among the options being considered at left back, raising the prospect of a move for a player whose path crossed with director of football, Christopher Vival at Chelsea.Newcastle are not looking to sell, but the St. James' Park Club are expected to significantly reshape their squad.

And while Hall has established himself under Eddie Howe, he's not always been in favour.Anthony Gordon's move means Newcastle are not necessarily prioritising sales, but they may consider further exits to help funds incoming.Any deal for Hall could be worth north of £50m.

Ternally also has his admirers at Old Trafford, although an asking price closer to £100m would likely be prohibitive.

Look, all I would say about that is, is some people are going to get really excited about Lewis Hall.We're probably going to get infiltrated by Newcastle fans.as is the way.I feel with Lewis Hall, what I said to you last week stands.If Newcastle sell, Man United will be there.For Newcastle to sell, Lewis Hall has got to say he wants to go and Eddie Howe's got to agree with it.

And then the door opens.I don't think we can open the door.unless Newcastle want to sell and Lewis Hall wants to go.

So I feel like, yeah, it's an interesting update on Lewis Hall.Man Utd would consider a move, but it would be over £50m and he's worth it, in my opinion.

But Newcastle don't need to sell and I think it will come down to the unlikely scenario that he asks to leave.

So Whole Lotta Lev says Lewis Hall means no Tenali.The Tonali thing just worries me. I mean, listen to this update here.We'll talk about Anderson here, and this is not actually in the Man United section.This is in the Man City section.Are there any specific players they're targeting?So this is in the same article from The Athletic.

Elliot Anderson is the main target for Manchester City, though they have been keeping tabs on other options like Newcastle's Sandro Tonali.And I think that is A really important thing to mention.That's the big difference between Manchester United, right, and Manchester City.Manchester City win things and consistently challenge for the Premier League.Man United don't.15 years ago, Man United were the big club in Manchester.

Now it's Man City.not on size, not on fan base, not on kit sales, whatever, but on actual what matters.

I mean, do you go to bed at night excited about, you know, how many fans we've got worldwide and how many kits we sell?Or would you go to bed excited that we might win the Premier League next season?

So Man City do it right.We do it right.wrong.Man City are looking at Elliot Anderson and the price will be around £100m.If they don't get him, they'll go for Tonali and the price will be £100m.That's the update from Man City.

Man United's update is Tonali's price is prohibitive, Anderson's price is prohibitive.And that's the difference.You've got one club willing to spend what it takes to be successful.You've got another club that wants to be successful but won't spend to do it.And ultimately, think of it like a Formula One team.There is a bit of equipment that's going to make you go quick, but it's expensive.

We want it.We want to be quick.We want it, but we don't want to pay for it.So we'll go for something a bit cheaper.Well, you're never going to be as quick as them, are you?And it really does come down to an analogy that simple.

Man City will spend on the pieces to make them the quickest car.Man United want to be the quickest car.but want to do it on reputation.We're Man United.Look at our lovely car.Look, our car looks nicer than theirs, but theirs goes quicker.

Our car's got more followers on social media than their car.Yeah, but their car goes quicker.And until we spend the money on the things that are going to make us quick, we're always going to be racing with one arm behind our back.And that is the problem.So Man City, Anderson, if they don't get him, Tenali.Man United, Anderson and Tenali are too expensive.

I mean, I read something, I think it was Swedish Rumble today.Absolutely spot on.If Man Utd's budget is £250 million, why do you need to make it spread?Why do you need to stretch that to £30 million player, £50 million player?Look, some people might not agree with what was said, but it basically said Chelsea have to sell.If the money is on the table, Chelsea have to sell.

Go and offer £130m for Caicedo.He is the best holding midfielder in the Premier League, arguably in Europe.Offer £130m to Chelsea for Caicedo.Now everyone in the chat's going to go, what?Offer £100m, £130m for Caicedo, see what Chelsea do.Then go and give Forrest £100m for Anderson.

You've just spent £230m on two players, but you've got a midfield three of Menu, Caicedo and Anderson.You probably can win the league next year.You can probably go deep in the Champions League next year.You're going to get £100m guaranteed back next year.And all right, you've only got 20 million pounds left, but there are free deals you can do.There are cheap deals you can do, you know.

So look, no one's ever going to do it at Man United.But we are trying to spread that budget around, aren't we?Oh, 35 million on Edison because he's got one year left on his contract.Are these players going to make Arsenal and Man City and Liverpool shit themselves?No, no.And look, the Caicedo thing is probably unrealistic, but the Tonali thing's not.

The Andersons thing's not.We won't even go and make one of those deals.Some people think we should make two.So I do think that we have to be a little bit more ambitious.I do think in football you get what you pay for.Of course you can overpay on shit.

You can.But I think United have a mindset that anything over £80 million is overpaying and that's not right.And that needs calling out.Man United seem to think if it's over £80m you're overpaying.It's not.If you paid over £100m for Haaland, it's not overpaying.

If you pay over £100m for Yamal, it's not overpaying.You pay over £80m for Caicedo, Declan Rice, you're not overpaying are you?But United seem to thinkit is, you know?Mr. Creed says F1 teams all have the same budgets.Mate, it was an analogy.

I don't necessarily think that Carrick benches Shaw for anybody.I said this last week, Robert.I mean, I think it's wrong, but I think Michael Carrick will start Luke Shaw next year, and I think it will come back and bite him on the arse, because I think it's nepotism.I don't actually think Luke Shaw is very good.But I would bench Luke Shaw for half of the Premier League left -backs.I mean, I'd bench Luke Shaw for Dioff at West Ham and he's a championship left -back now.

Steven Railston in the Manchester Evening News says United are set to benefit from a FIFA pot of £263 million for clubs supplying players to the World Cup.FIFA's club benefit programme means that clubs will be paid per day for each of their players involved.The players don't have to get on the pitch, with payments being ginning on the date they are released.FIFA increased funding for their club benefits programme two years ago, which covers qualifying.I don't think we get the £260 million.and sent something else here, sorry.

Sorry for the drop in the flow.Oh yeah, I've just read that one, that's absolutely fine, okay.Let me come back to the chat.I think we have to try and think who Carrick will play, says Robert McCormack.

Yeah, but I think, Robert, I think next season, like, I do agree with you.

I don't think Carrick's the right appointment.I think that I'm entitled to that opinion and I think when you look at the reason he got the job, he got the job relying on people like Maguire, Luke Shaw, Deleux, Bruno, Casimiro, Players I don't think we can rely on.So unless Carrick's going to change big time next season and drop people like Luke Shaw and Harry Maguire and Deleux and obviously replace Casemiro properly.

you've got to keep Bruno in the team, then I don't think you'll last long.But at the moment, in the absence of that knowledge, I think you'll still keep picking Luke Shaw and Harry Maguire at the start of next season.And I think that ultimately that won't change the way we play.And ultimately, I think the look will run out.But hopefully, he does buy a left back and benches Luke Shaw.Hopefully De Ligt comes back and he benches Maguire.

Hopefully the Casimiro replacement is someone like Tumini, Anderson or Tonali.So I think it's very difficult to understand how it's going to be next season.I think what we need to do is integrate ourself into what the summer transfer window is going to be.And as I said, if you've tuned in a little bit late, I think Fernandez of West Ham is advancing.Obviously, if the Athletic are saying that we've held talks about a fee and wages, that means we spoke to the players side and West Ham.Obviously, West Ham are not going to move quickly if they think Arsenal or PSG are going to come in as well.

I think the Alex Scott thing is really interesting because if he's unlikely to sign a new deal at Bournemouth, that means he's basically available.If Bournemouth want to wait till next summer, they're going to lose money on him, aren't they?But they might want to, you know, dig their feet in.So you know, Buleba is still a name being mentioned.But I don't see how Buleba is in this race, really.I don't think Brighton want to sell Buleba.

As I said to you last night, if you were looking to sell, if Brighton had factored in selling Buleba this summer, you'd have started him against Man United, hoping that he plays well.And then our fan base is so gullible, they would have said, I'm a Buleba, I'm a Buleba.Oh, I'm a Buleba, he played so well.But they benched him for Milner.So I think Brighton don't want to sell him.I think they want to keep him another year because I think they feel that, you know, there's probably more potential there.

And if they don't want to sell him, I think the price for Buleyba is north of 60.Well, I think Fernandesand Scott are south of 60.So, and I think Fernandes and Scott are better than Buleba, so they're cheaper and they're better.So, hopefully we can secure one of Fernandes and Scott, and that avoids us getting Buleba.I think Edison's coming in.

So we won't win the Premier League.It's the wrong mentality to win the Premier League and it will probably get us third.It might get us second, but we won't win the league.And unfortunately, some of our fans are so fucking lost because it's been so long.I don't understand that, that they don't realise what it takes to win a league.Some people think we can win the league because we're Man United.
