and I'm kind of living for it. I'm letting my hair air dry right now and then we're gonna style it once it's fully dry and run some errands today. But hello, it's definitely like a little echoey right now because we still need to put rugs in the house But you guys we have been crushing it. Also, let me just show you please look at what our next-door neighbors brought us over

How adorable is this? I haven't even opened it yet because I've been waiting to show you guys We've met so many neighbors. We have been absolutely crushing the move-in We've been at it non-stop and we've made major, major, major, major moves. We love our neighbors. Everybody around here is so nice. We got this beautiful basket. We've gotten handwritten cards.

We've gotten donuts. We got homemade cookies yesterday. We've gotten cake and so many sweet cards and things and everyone here is just so nice. We are so grateful. Cal and I also want to bring something to all of the neighbors. We were thinking of doing like homemade cookies, but we haven't even started the kitchen unpacking yet. And I want to get it over to them sooner rather than later.

So I think homemade things will have to come later. I'm thinking either like cookie baskets or like a little like basket like this or just something to say hi. And just like, thank you for all of the warm welcomes to the neighborhood. But yes, and loving the moving content so far. We've been doing so much, as I said, there's so much to come still. We are pretty much through all of the sortings

of the donations, what we're keeping, what we're selling and all that kind of stuff. So everything is a lot more open now. I will show you guys some updates. Also, as you guys know, I am doing some fun little projects and things in the house.

I haven't told you the kitchen yet But I can't wait to take you guys along with that Also, if you can see I found my cheese head, which is very exciting with that. Let me show you around Also, you guys will see but this house has a lot of similarities to the last house But also a lot of differences at the same time, too It definitely has a different vibe a different aesthetic a different feel but I really do love those similar things that it has in common. Like for instance, I'm back to just sitting at the kitchen island like all day long, which is exactly what I did at the last house.

I just was always in the kitchen, whether I was cooking or like sitting and doing work at the bar stools. And one thing that's really nice with the aesthetics of the house is being similar. I will say the last house was definitely a lot more Modern feeling I guess it was very black and white which I loved at the time this house definitely feels a lot warmer There's like a lot more stone. Also. The whole house is covered in what I have learned is called Venetian plaster which is like a type of you know paint and like a painting style So it feels so warm feels really cozy, but I love that the layout feels similar

So it still feels very like comfortable to what I obviously lived in for so long Let me show you as I said a kitchen has barely been touched So this is the kitchen again kind of similar layout to the last house with the island here the stove in the back the long Kitchen this way pantry on that side I will say the fridge is on the other side in the last house But like overall very similar layout And then right in front of the

kitchen we have the living room area which again feels very similar to the last house. The open layout concept I think that's what it is. Is that what it is? Open floor concept? Yeah. Open floor concept. There we go. This is not done by any means. We're still changing things in here, but we are slowly chipping away. I also love the warmer tones of the wood in this house. The last house had more of like a beige-y wood, which again, at the time I loved,

and I still do, but I love the warmth that this house brings. I like this like iron metal, black iron metal here, and I love the natural lighting. It's so beautiful. Let me show you what we got done in the front room. Dun dun dun dun dun Okay, it doesn't look great right now But we're gonna a set this up today and be this was kind of the landing area for a lot of boxes and things Throughout the move. So the fact that this is empty you guys like this is crazy

Cal and I were working on this room for so long cream brick that's throughout the house It's like with all the fireplaces again. It just adds a little warmth to the space, which is so nice. But yes, this is the front room. I still need to work on the dining area over there. As you can see, it's a little crazy, but again, there was a lot going on and now it is finally clear. So today Cal and I are going to set this up. Please look at her.

Okay guys, so Let's get started I will say something that we want to incorporate more into this space is Color or just in this house in general again The last house was very black white and silver and that was kind of it You can come be on camera if you want. He's off to the side waiting like this

So we're gonna incorporate some color into this space. Also again, we're trying to not rush into just like decorating this place as quickly as possible slash also, we're reusing pretty much all pieces of furniture from the last house because it's perfectly good furniture.

Maybe one day down the line, we will replace them with newer pieces or different pieces to like change the aesthetic up. But right now that is not a need so we are working with what we have right now

just for the new rug!

Oh, God. All right, okay, we're not done, but we did as much as we can today. As you can see, the girls are loving it. We have so many white couches with like slipcovers and things that we're starting to get mixed up between like what goes where so hopefully This is right. I'm not sure it looks good to me though These are also supposed to be white and we got them actually professionally steam cleaned But I think between where they were sitting in the old house slash also just like being in storage

They got like a little bit cream color next to each other You can see this dark difference, but like it's not horrible by any means But I do think what I want to do is maybe reupholster these because they're still perfectly good amazing Comfortable chairs. We need to wash the covers by the way, but I think that reupholstering them would bring them a whole new life It looks so nice. I could pick the fabric and like the color and everything the material and like the finish I guess like they could be velvet. It could be boucle. They could be linen. They could be whatever I've never reupholstered anything before so if it's really expensive then we're just gonna leave it as is but I did think it would

Be cool to bring new life to them and just really warm up the space again The old house had so much black furniture and had so much white furniture and I want to go for like richer Compier cozier tones down. Okay now for the coffee table It's definitely way too small for the space But again black from all the furniture before but this coffee table specifically is really cool and functional because this is our Transformer table coffee table. So this console table back here is not just a console table It actually pulls out and then all of the extra pieces to make the table really long are in this coffee table.

If you lift it up, they're inside. So that's really cool and also necessary for when we have big family events over and we need a lot of table space. So that's the only thing. It's definitely way too small for the space,

but it's functional and on it for now, but not bad for an afternoon's work. As you can see, the girls are so happy to have all their furniture back. They love it. It's nap time. So cute. We've got the little stairs for Momo because she's got a bad hip as you guys know, and also the curtains will be changing, but for now it looks really good.

We're all enjoying the couch. I do need to run an errand and I also need to start setting up the guest room because we have a special guest coming this weekend! Kay's coming to visit. We're doing like a little baby... it's not a baby moon because I wouldn't be at the baby moon, but we're doing a little girl's staycation. She's coming over and I have lots of relaxing plans for us, but we do need to get the guest room set up for her. So let's go do that.

Okay, welcome to the guest room. I'm so excited about this room. As you can see, everything is just kind of sprawled out right now. I will say we have yet to be able to find the covers for the bed frame.

We've made it through a majority of the boxes But I'm hoping it's in one of the last boxes we have left as you can see the girls are just making themselves very comfortable But this bed frame is my bed frame from my apartment when I lived in downtown We did use it at the last house for a little bit and then we ended up switching to the pullout couch for the guest Room, but now we have a full official guest room in this house. So we brought back the bed and then these are our nightstands and our dresser from our last bedroom that we had. But we wanted to do something different in our current bedroom and they fit really nicely here. This is obviously going to move, but

we have some plans for everything once we get it built. It's going to look so pretty. I'm so excited. The only thing is we need to wash the rug that's going to go in here before we actually set this up. So actually, I'm gonna throw that in the washing machine. It's a ruggable rug, so totally washable. We'll throw that in the washing machine, and then I have some errands that I need to run, and then by the time that we're done, hopefully it will be good to go.

Does that sound good, ladies? Sweet, let's go. Okay, before we go, we need to style my hair when it's wet after I get out of the shower and it is amazing. It's the Redken acidic bonding concentrate. It's the leave-in treatment. It makes my hair feel so ridiculously soft. I wish you could feel it. It feels amazing. I put it in my hair the other day when it was wet and then I just braided my hair, went to sleep and then I

took my braids out in the morning. My hair has never felt so soft in my life. Like, do you see the way that the brush is just running through? I am absolutely amazed by it. Let's curl our hair because we have some things that we need to get done. First off, I'm going to Costco because I actually have to film a brand deal. That involves Costco, which I mean, is that not the most me thing ever? I just want to run to Ulta because I am actually out of some makeup products, one of which being my eyebrow pencil, which is why my eyebrows like look a little crazy today.

So we'll do that after. Okay. Going to do some heat protectant in the hair.

You exploring around? Hi baby. You guys, when I tell you the dogs are so happy in this house every like 30 minutes or so I'll just go out in the backyard with them. I'll throw the toys around. We'll sit in the sun They love it. It's so cute. Okay, here's curl My hair tends to get a little flat throughout the day because my hair is naturally like it's a denser hair So it's pretty heavy

So what I like to do is I like to really curl these top pieces all the way up to the root, which adds a little more volume, just like these little pieces at the top, right there, just right at the root, a little more lift. Okay guys, now we're gonna spray the hair. Actually I have the pod tomorrow,

so it would be great if I just have to do like a touch up. So we'll really spray it. Okay, spray it, check, brush. I found that a brush like this, I got this from Amazon actually. It's the same brush that my hairstylist will use on me. I find that it combs through the hair really nicely

and doesn't make the curl fall flat, but just kind of blends all the curls together. Okay, that looks good. And then last but not least, just to add a little bit more moisture to the hair and kind of blend all of my shorter hairs with my longer hair, this is the Redken ABC 24-7 Night and Day Serum. Gonna do a little bit of that. You can see just adds a little more moisture back to the hair and then also kind of blends that. If you can see, all right, that's it.

Here for my brow pencil, I'm a 4.5. I do want to try the 10 Minute Loving Tan still really badly. It looks like it's sold out, it is sold out. I talked about it on Pretty Basic, I've seen everyone try it, it looks really good. I also want my Kosas brow pencil,

but I don't know if they sell Kosas here. Also always grabbing new of my Kiss Press On nails that I love. Like these are so pretty they look like you literally went to the nail salon. I love that like pink and purple cotton candy look. I also love this like frosted blue French. So cute. Chromie one. They have so much Korean skincare here now too which is so exciting. My favorite stuff. I've been using this one in the shower. The Dr. Althea cleansing balm and you. And you guys know I love Inua.

I also love, is Round Lab here? I don't see Round Lab, but I love Round Lab as well. And this one too, D'Alba. Oh, Round Lab, down there. Okay, I couldn't find Kosas here. I think that's only at Sephora,

but they do have a similar product from ELF that I'm gonna try deep brown and we'll see. Going to get some little face shavers. Hi guys, okay, the Ulta worker was so sweet. She kept complimenting my foundation. So appreciated that. Ulta haul, okay, I got the Chic Hydro Silk face razors

because I've been needing to fix up all the hair around my face or just clean it up a little bit. I got a bunch of different nail options because I was thinking at every stop of the book tour, maybe I'll switch up the nails for the different outfits, which I haven't planned the outfits yet, but I also just got these

because I will go through them eventually. I got these cute little baby blue French tips which are so adorable, and this is so something that I would get at the nail salon, but will take me 10 minutes to do do versus, you know, sitting in a chair for so long. I got some other options too. I got just my plain favorite, short, regular like solid colored ones. I got like a baby pink. I got a neutral.

I got the ones that I'm wearing right now because I really like these ones. These ones are called take a chance. It's like a purple ombre. I did the like orangey blue ombre the other day. Those were so cute and they normally last me longer, but I think just from like how much I've been using my hands with them moving, they wore off easier. So I got these ones because they're so pretty. I got the little elf eyebrow pencil as you saw.

Honestly, I'm gonna try it out right now because my eyebrows, my pencil was on its last leg today. So let's try it out. Here she is. This was $8 as opposed to the Cosas one that I love is like 20. So less than half the price. And if I end up liking it just as much, that would be a win.

Okay, off the bat, for some reason, it's got like a white on the outside. Let's see if it'll come off. Oh yeah, it comes out just fine. I like these pencils to draw the fake hair-like strokes at the front of my brow.

But I think that looks pretty good. Okay, let me try this one. Wait, okay, so far so good. It's hot right now and my skin's definitely like a little bit oily so my products are just kind of sliding all over my face in general. Wait, I think that was really good and I feel like you might even get more product than the Kosas ones. So far, so good. I'll keep you updated on that. Okay, we got that. I got my Benefit brow pencil and then I also got some new hair products Cal has been wanting some new shampoo and conditioner or like new hair products and he fights me on this because he doesn't think he Has curly hair, but he like absolutely has curly hair

And so I feel like he's always using the wrong products because with curly hair you have to take care of your curls I promise this vlog is not sponsored by Redken as much as I wish it was because I've been loving their products, but I bought him the same line as I showed you Guys earlier, but this one is for curls granted I've never tried it before and I don't have curly hair so I can't give you an honest review But I got him the ABC line the acidic bonding curls line this one is a silicone free shampoo This one is the matching silicone free conditioner

And then I also got him the leave-in treatment because I feel like his hair can get pretty dry. And then with curly hair, especially when it's dry, you can really notice it because all the curls obviously separate. So I got him also the leave-in treatment.

Now he is not a big fan of trying new products. He likes his tried and true. So I called him and I said, just trust me, try it out. We'll see how it goes I'll let him give you guys a review because maybe if any of you guys have curly hair if he likes it you could try It but we're gonna give these a try because I saw them in there and then for myself I got this mousse that Leo on the morning of the Grammys

He used this mousse on my hair that has been living in my head rent- mousse and it was so cool. So he like put it on his hand I'm not gonna show you because I don't have a place to clean my hands right now You know when your brain is moving way faster than your mouth. That's what's going on right now He dispensed a little bit in his hand and it was gel and then we watched it like foam into mousse I love a mousse when one with my blowout next time So that's everything that we got I also went in because I wanted to grab makeup wipes But I didn't like any of the makeup wipes that were in there available

And then also I wanted to get the symbiotica vitamin C pouches because I really really really really really need to ensure That I don't get sick before I leave for tour or on on the tour, obviously, which is coming up pretty soon. So, they didn't have them in there, but I am going to Costco now, and I figured Costco should have something there. So, let's go to Costco.

There's a full-on, like, people lining up, a huge line for the rotisserie chicken. I mean, I get it, but I've literally never seen people wait like that, but they're being so patient. These also look insane. I want sweets. I gasped. Honey Mama's did a collab with Girl Scout. Thin Mints? These are like healthier kind of like fudgy squares. Cal is gonna freak for that. I'm gonna surprise him. Oh my god

Look at this brioche Pistachio bread. Oh my god. A new meat bite has entered the villa. We have smoke roasted salmon bites now Interesting. I do want wanna try their salmon poke. That looks really good. I'm also just grabbing some things that we can reheat for snacks and like little meals

and things because as you guys know, we haven't been cooking since we haven't unpacked the kitchen yet. I'm gonna do these barbecue buns. Also, did somebody say meatloaf? I've never tried the Costco meatloaf,

but we're gonna do this for dinner tonight and it looks good. I love meatloaf. Also, I feel like this was about saying, but just in case, the reason why we haven't unpacked the kitchen yet or we're saving that for last is because we're doing the project in there and so I didn't wanna unpack the kitchen, put everything in place,

and then have to completely pack it away and redo it again. Chicken mounts. These are also really good snack or meal grabbing these for breakfast

Okay, so Jason texted me about these the built sour puff I think he said it tastes like a high chew which sounds really good But I don't want to commit to a giant one in case I don't like it. One day I'm going to try it though. They have Blue Ras Blast and Sweet Peach Punch. Okay, I just filmed part of my brand deal. I'm doing a brand deal with REACH Floss,

which is very exciting. Yes, even when you have veneers, you do have to floss still. I had to keep redoing it because people kept walking in my shop, which is totally my fault for being there. But I kept getting nervous, but we did it. Okay, now I wanna find the vitamin C, and then I also wanna find the makeup wipes,

because Kirkland Signature Makeup Wipes are amazing. I've been using ones that I got from Japan up until now. I just ran out, I'm on my last wipe. I love those, but the Kirkland ones come in a close second for me, since I can't get the Japanese ones right now. I just gasped, they have pistachio cream at Costco, which I've been looking for

to make all my Dubai chocolate recipes, because right now I've been doing pistachio butter, which is not the same. Good to know this is here. We'll come back for this. I actually wanted to get some nut butter though.

I'm gonna do some almond butter Okay, it appears my Costco doesn't have makeup wipes either. They have like the clean skin towel dupes, which is cool, but they don't have the makeup wipes. I don't know if they sold out or maybe they discontinued it. Okay, my mom is an airborne girl through and through, so I think I'm gonna do the gummies for while I'm home, and then I will say I think the gummies taste way better

than the tablets, and my mom swears by the tablets. My mom has been pushing airborne forever in my life but I think I'm gonna get the tablets and then travel with them for the book tour and drink them along the way to ensure hopefully that I don't get sick. Alright we're home! I'm gonna do a haul of the stuff that we got at Costco. It's in my wagon. Don't mind this giant TV screen that's in here. This is the Christmas gift that Alicia got me a couple years ago. I love her. We also use this for the podcast a lot too. Let me give you a haul of what we got. The frozen stuff already went into the freezer just so you know,

but you already saw that. We got the buns, breakfast sandwiches, all those things. I'm going to be honest. I got a lot of chocolate. It's almost Easter and they had so much delicious looking stuff and I couldn't help myself. And lately my thing has been after every meal, I just have a piece of chocolate. It's usually from See's Candy, but I'm also open to trying other chocolates

and I found some good stuff. So first off, look what I got you babe. Honey Mama's Thin Mint Chocolate. Fudgy square, fudge square. Okay, next, hold on, I actually put it in the fridge but I need to pull it out because I'm so excited to try.

Dun dun dun dun!

We have the sriracha salmon poke. I mean, that looks delicious. And Auntie actually brought these over. She said they're like an amazing brand of chip. I've never tried them, but Chica's tortilla chips. Let's give it a try.

I feel like they'll go well together. Okay, let's try the chip on its own first. Ooh, they look nice. It's nice and thick. I'm pretty picky when it comes to tortilla chips,

so we'll see.

Oh wow, it's a thick chip. I don't know how to say this without sounding insane. It's obviously corn, but it's got like a very corny aftertaste if that makes any sense. Maybe if you've tried these before, you understand what I'm saying.

But okay, let's try it now with the poke. Ooh, it smells like sesame oil. We've got salmon, sriracha, mayo I'm assuming, sesame seeds, and then a little white onion it looks like. We're just gonna get in there with a chip and see. Mm, okay, actually I think there's no mayo. I'm just gonna do a little bit. I wish I had some furikake.

Oh my god, this would be really good with like a rice ball too. That's actually delish. Let's try. I like just a little bit of mayo. Mmm, this is such a good after grocery shopping snack. Hear me out. Let's say you're entertaining. I mean you could obviously just like put this out or if you want to go the extra step, five big steps,

buy some wonton wrappers, the circles or the squares, cut them in half and then bring up some oil to 350 degrees on the stove, or you can air fry them if you want. Just like spritz a little cooking spray on each side. I'd air fry them maybe like six to seven minutes or so on each side at like 350, give or take a few minutes.

Or fry them in some oil for like a minute or two until they're nice and golden brown. Put those on a tray, take this, put this on top, whether you get this one or the ahi one, and then go to town with toppings. You could do green onions, avocado, furikake, pickled onions, cucumbers,

a drizzle of Japanese mayo, a drizzle of sriracha, drizzle of eel sauce, a little sesame seed on top, boom. Hokey nachos that will change your life. So delicious, highly recommend that. Okay, next, did somebody say meatloaf? We got the Costco meatloaf with mashed,

Yukon potatoes and glaze. This is a lot of food. It was $20. I feel like that's actually pretty good value for how much you get. I feel like we could get at least like four meals out of this, which is amazing.

And we're going to make this tonight. I think you just throw this in the oven. Oh, okay. You are supposed to cover with foil. I don't think we have the oven. That's easy. I can do that. Okay, we're gonna have that for dinner later Let's get to the chocolate. Shall we chocolate that I got? I have never tried these before. This is the

Samoyed I believe they're French petite or song we nope not even gonna try that one They are chocolate marshmallow bears, which as I get older, I'm just realizing more and more I am my mother's daughter because I like all the things that she likes and all the things that she would eat when I was growing up. And she and I love, love, love,

especially during springtime, a chocolate marshmallow bunny. I usually have the American ones. Is it the, it's like the purple foil. Russell Stover, I think is the brand. I love them when we put them in the fridge. Like growing up, there were always those in our fridge cheese drawer, but these ones are French.

So I was thinking also maybe they'll be even better. Maybe the chocolate will be better, but let's give it a try. And I like that it's little. So I was like, I just want little chocolates in the fridge

or in the pantry that I can just, you know, have a little sweet treat from time to time. chocolate covered gummy bear. Let's give it a try. Oh, okay. Right off the bat, the chocolate flavor is richer. Don't get me wrong. I love a Russell Stover. That's delicious. I might have to get one for my mom. She'll love that. The big leagues nine times out of 10. I'm a dark chocolate girl. I've learned with Cadbury eggs. I always go for the milk chocolate. Mmm. Oh, they're so good. I love these so much.

I think I put them in our wedding vows. I'm pretty sure. I think I did because it was June and so I was still going through like my bags from Easter. I love these so much. These will last me until Christmas

Do you want to try it and he said yes, there is fudge brownie flavored overnight oats It's like a protein shake But it has oatmeal in it as well as cookies and cream flavored shake mixes and you just add milk to it It's high protein and a good amount of fiber. I got some eye masks because I'm all out of my road eye masks and I saw these and I want to give them a try. These are the Grace and Stella eye masks. There's one for like de-puffing, one for moisturizing, one for illuminating. I'm gonna stick these in the fridge. I will say with these jelly ones, these kinda remind me of like the Summer Fridays texture. I feel like they slip and slide on your face. Like it's a little bit harder to like do things

while you have them on, versus I like the road ones These are going in the fridge and I'll try them tomorrow morning. And then we got our airborne. We got the gummies We got the tablets. These are gonna come with me as I travel these I'm gonna start taking every single day to really ensure that I do not get sick. These definitely are on the more bland side. Not a lot of butter, not a lot of cream or anything. So if you like like a really decadent mashed potato, these might not be your favorite. Meatloaf though, I will say not a lot of sauce going on. The sauce was only on the top, obviously. If I were making homemade meatloaf,

I think I'd make like extra sauce to like put on top just cause I like it sauce the loaf itself a little dry. I think it needs a little more sauce to not make it so dry Let's try a bite together Hmm it adds some moisture with the potato. I believe it was already cooked.
