For any Americans who complain about your taxes here, let this Canadian tell you about what the taxes are in Canada.So in Quebec, you have provincial tax and federal tax.The federal tax is capped at 33%.The provincial tax is capped at 25 .75%.Now, what the government allows you to keep at the end, which is 40 something percent, if you go out and spend money, you pay double sales tax, provincial and federal at around 15%.Now add property tax, carbon tax, gas tax, school tax, you end up with roughly 30 cents to the dollar.

So put it another way from January 1st until roughly end of August, I work for free for the government.I'm a slave and starting in September, I become a human being with dignity.
