He Walked Into A Store With A Shotgun. Citizens Were Armed

We're following breaking news in Riverton tonight where people inside a gas station just shot and killed a man after he brought a shotgun inside of the store.

You know what they say.Goofy behavior begets goofy results.Riverton, Utah.So two total strangers with nothing invested in this man's night still tried to talk him down and walk him out the door like grown folks.And he had his exit.He was in the car.

The whole thing was over and all he had to do was drive home.

They say that this started when an individual entered the holiday and demanded alcohol from the clerk.He did not have his ID on him and was denied and then some sort of altercation ensued.Two bystanders attempted to deescalate the situation.That individual then left the holiday and got back into his car.He drove around the parking lot and retrieved his firearm, a shotgun, and went back into the holiday.

Bro drove a lap.That's what gets me, because a lap around a parking lot is not heat of the moment.That's a whole itinerary.Time to think, time to cool off, time to remember you've got a life to go back to.And he used every second of it to go get a shotgun and walk it back through the door of a store with people in it.And I'd bet money he thought that was the Trump card, that he pops off with a long gun and everybody turns into extras in a movie.

This is not 1985.There are more people carrying concealed right now than at any point in my lifetime.So when you pull a gun on strangers in Utah, you're not intimidating.You're accommodating a room, you're taking a poll, and you didn't get to see the results until it's too late to change your answer.

and the reporter handed it over on a platter.He didn't actually fire it.Nobody owes you a benefit of the doubt once you walk a shotgun into a room full of people who did nothing to you.The law does not make a citizen wait for the first shot to confirm your intentions, because the confirmation is a hole in somebody.Here's the part nobody in your comments is thinking about, though.Those two men are heroes on the internet tonight, and they are subject of an open investigation in real life.
