Hermitcraft 11: Episode 4 - THE EARLY WORLD TOUR!

Welcome back to the next episode of Hermitcraft. It is episode 4, and this one, unlike last episode, which we spent the entire episode in our base, we are going to be spending the entire episode not in our base. We're going to be doing a bit of a tour around the server. Last season, I did a really long server tour,

and it took 7 hours. That is not happening this time. I'm going to do a route around the server. I'm gonna look at everybody's starter base. If they're there, if they turn up, great. If not, we're gonna have a little look and scoot on by. Oh yeah, there's a copper golem summoning circle here.

Apparently, Etho told us that if you put a block of copper in between two here and two below, two above and two below. It oxidizes it really, really quickly. And I guess I'll place one over here, maybe one over here for comparison. Maybe just for science we'll do this. And I just, I put all the golems around it because it was like, it kind of reminded me of that, uh, the summoning gif, like, bah, Let's let's watch this happen in real time Right someone send this to Etho cuz

We're only three episodes in, so you can't expect too much. But this side does have too much. We've got a little farm, we've got some villagers, and we've got some villagers that are going to go down

So we're about to begin the tour properly. We've seen Jem's base, we've seen my base, we basically live in the same area. Now here is the map of where I am, which is under this mountain. So the map doesn't really have much purpose here. You can see the square hole there. And here's the island that we will eventually move to. So we are heading over to Cub's base, which I have him marked down here, and as with pretty much every base after this, I don't know what I'm looking for. This is as much for me as it is for you. So we found a portal. I've got a look for Cubs Base. Aha! So Cubs Base as it stands is a giant sorting system. I hear redstone underneath

So he's got some he's got machinery already there's a little bit of like Farmage going on here. Ah, this must be What the closest thing to a base so curb has gone for early game farming plus a bridge Wait, he has got a house I've just got it. I've just, I'm going to struggle to use my eyeballs I think. Oh no, he's, he's basically just got farms.

It's because it's all postcard starter house materials. You've got cobblestone, you've got oak, exclusively oak as well. This is so old school, I love it. But it's been built really, really well. Let's go and have a little look inside, but I wasn't exactly sure. Oh, here's the front door. Nice. So obviously we've, we've done the out a bit, but working on the inside and the storage is up here. Very cool Might be just a pips pit stop here. But that is a that is an extremely comforting starter house

That is cozy as all heck right so this over here over the bridge So we have xp is taken out a mountain hit those got beef hasn't actually done anything And that's because he's super busy and hasn't been able to get on the server as much. So his part of the tour might be a lovely stroll through these flowers because I think what we see here is Beef's starter base. Dude, I like this because they kind of blend in but they're also like stack like statues, you know Like what you it's like carved marble almost exactly exactly So when you look at them, you like you obviously know what they are. So it's like a, it's a great detail without feeling messy. It is.

And I'm playing this season with shaders, right? So the thing is like how light hits them. It looks awesome. Can you give me a screenshot? Can you send me a screenshot to put on the screen? way I'd have to build the entire thing in creative before so your brain comes up with parts of it yes and so you don't actually know what the rest of this looks like even in your head no I do I do it like a patchwork quilt where I do section So you don't know what's under this polish up sections. So you just guess how high you would need to put this in the air. I

They'll probably be like a bio lab for all my farm stuff.

I would say it's kind of like a cross between cyberpunk and futuristic tech kind of thing? You know, tech stuff?

It's got, like... I don't know how to describe it, really. It's almost got like a cartoony...

I realized, I think it's the Fallout logo actually. Oh is it? Well this is really cool. I, you're my, you're the only one I know that works this way in like just blobs of a build that come together.

So really uh interesting goals. Build more build with more movement Be mean more often Keep climb 11 alive. Live in a base. Hate Joel no matter what. Interesting. Okay, so. Oh gosh, it's so good. Okay, right. So B-dubs base here, starter house. If we head, I think, this way, we're going to end up at Joe's base. This looks like Joe. Wowzers. Look at all that different kind of wood.

Where you would film in front of a live audience. I'm calling it Studio 11. It's based on the building from the fictional Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip.

But because it's a fictional building i can take a lot of liberties with it and try and make it my own are we looking at kind of a art deco-y type deal precisely i'm going for an art deco vibe i'm glad you noticed because it means i'm doing something right yeah it's the it's the um the straight angles of the cal site is is like the that that very iconic kind of art deco style where it goes Horizontal and straight down. Yeah, I think I'm really pleased with how it's turning out

The only thing we've got so far is the prop department over here. Yeah Prop department your storage built. Yeah storage. Okay, so you're gonna be Filmmaking content in front of a live audience in quotation marks?

In quotation marks, yeah. I've got some bad ideas for television shows. I figure we can make some bad TV pitches. Okay. Maybe do a few late night bits, some, you know, parody news, that sort of thing in the studio.

So Tango is building an enormous mini game, it's not a mini game, a mega game in Minecraft. And it's like, what would you describe it as, a roguelike? It's a roguelike deck building game that you're intended to play many times. There's no combat, you go in with just your wits and you have to stay alive and acquire an artifact and get out while accomplishing alternate goals. And this Decked Out 3 is very much a like a horror kind of spooky bod okay well I it's incredible to see

So I've got several copper chests and they get blocked off. I put a block on top of them when you do that it stops pathfinding So I'm manipulating where it goes in what order

You know you don't need it. You don't need to farm farm to be efficient and this is a much more interesting way to do things.
