How I Became the #1 Ranked Player in Pokemon Champions
WolfeyVGC
I tried to become the number one ranked player in Pokemon Champions, and I failed. I thought I'd have a decent chance at doing it using the Mega Meganium and Mega Kangaskhan team that I had built. And to be fair, it's not like the team itself was that bad, but it also wasn't that good. I tried modifying it a bunch, but it felt like no matter what I did, I was always stuck between winning and losing and just alternating pretty much every other game. I've done a lot of rank 1 challenges over the years, but I was kind of shocked by the difficulty of this one. In the past, I've even used theme teams to get rank 1, such as Red's team. So having no restrictions at all and still struggling felt like something I wasn't really
prepared for. However, after thinking about it more, I realized that it actually made sense. This moment in Pokemon Champions is probably the most popular competitive Pokemon has ever ever been, and reaching the very top of the ladder, being ranked literally number one in the world, is a very prestigious accomplishment. Over the last several days, many top players, including the defending world champion, as well as international champions and national champions from other regions, have held the spot at the very top.
So it makes sense that a team that was good but not great wouldn't really be able to cut it. But even though it made sense, I was still feeling pretty demoralized. I feel like I've been in a bit of a slump when it comes to competitive Pokemon for several months now to be honest, pretty much since last August, and feeling like I was falling short yet again was pretty frustrating for me. However, I knew that I couldn't give up.
So I decided to build a new team, around a new Mega Evolution. Mega Scovillen. Mega Scovillen is not thought to be a very good mega evolution. In fact, I would go so far as to say it's seen as something of a joke. It's a Pokemon with an incredible ability called Spicy Spray that burns any Pokemon that damages it, period. This is an incredible ability, but the problem is that Megascovillain gets a ton of stats
in its offenses and very few in its defenses. I think this is the reason why many players, myself included, didn't pay it much attention. However, right now in the current format, there's a core of Pokemon that are on the majority of teams. It's Sneaselurr, Basilegion, and King Gambit. And when I was thinking about Pokemon that could handle these three Pokemon, I was struck by how good Megascovillain is. Although it is weak to Sneaselurr, it matches up pretty well into King Gambit, and it also is neutral to Basilegion's water-type moves. More importantly, all three of these Pokemon are physical attackers, meaning they don't like to be burned because it will cut their attack stat in half.
With the move Rage Powder, I can even force these Pokemon to target Scovillain, forcing them to burn themselves or not do any damage on that turn. I was also struck by Scovillain's fire typing, giving it a resistance to fairy type attacks. Right now the Pokemon thought to be the strongest Mega Evolution is Mega Floette, who can do ridiculous damage with its Fairy-type moves. Mega Floette is a special attacker, so it doesn't really care about being burned, so on paper Scovillain doesn't look very strong against it.
However, Mega Scovillain is also a Grass-type, and can use the move Leech Seed. Leech Seed and Burn is 18%, and if you Protect on every other turn, that's 36%. I think that this will add up pretty quickly, especially when you consider that Scovillen isn't just damaging Floette, but stealing its health, therefore healing itself. Now Scovillen does have a weakness, and that's to Fire-type Pokemon who it cannot Burn. Because of this, I'm adding the Rain strategy to my team, using a very defensive Pelipper who can set the rain up with the Drizzle ability. I'm using a Wideguard Pelipper here rather than the more popular Tailwind, and that's
mostly because there's a lot of spread moves in the format, and a lot of those spread moves have like pretty high variance effects tied to them, like Rock Slide can flinch and Blizzard can freeze. I figure that I will never be upset to have Wideguard, and also my team doesn't really need because I have a very fast Pokemon in Basculesian, whose Swift Swim ability doubles its speed in the rain. Basculesian is stronger the more of your Pokemon faint with its move Last Respects, which actually has pretty good synergy with Scovillan's Rage Powder, which can force the opponent to target Scovillan and eventually knock it out. These three Pokemon work well together, but I needed a fourth to complete the core, and Iasculegion was, and Arcaladon's high physical defense stat is really nice when paired with Scoville and
Spicy Spray, as it means that even super effective attacks won't do that much damage if the attacker is burnt. Arcaladon also has nice synergy with Pelipper, because its move Electro Shot is a one-turn attack in the rain, although it is a bit'll have to see if that works. The fifth Pokemon on this team is a second Mega Evolution, specifically used to deal with Sun teams. It's Mega Aerodactyl.
I'm using Mega Aerodactyl because it's faster and bulkier than Aerodactyl, rather than being more offensive. Mega Aerodactyl can actually outspeed Vascular Legion with Choice Scarf, because Vasculigin is so popular right now. Mega Redactyl is also just very good into Charizard generally, and Charizard is a problem for this team. So yeah, seems pretty good.
Mega Redactyl also gets to move dual wingbeat, which basically ensures it will KO Pokemon like Venusaur, even if they're running a little bit of bulk. The last Pokemon on this team is actually two Pokemon. For the first half of this challenge, I decided to use King Gambit. My initial theory is that putting a Pokemon that can set up with Swords Dance next to Rage Powder Scovillan seemed really strong, but I pretty quickly realized that I couldn't
even afford to run Swords Dance because I was weak to opposing King Gambit, so I switched to Low Kick. But after I had Low Kick and not Swords Dance, I was like, wait, why do I even have King Gambit on this team? I actually would prefer to have something faster. I don't really love Sneaselur generally to be honest. I find that its inability to damage ghost type Pokemon very well means that smart opponents can kind of put you in awkward spots.
However, I decided to use Sneaselur nonetheless because I found that there was one variant of Floette that used a lot of healing, like Graining Kiss and Sinistra, for example. I felt that in order to beat this kind of super bulky Floette team, I wanted a Pokemon that could out speed flow it and hit it really hard. And Sneasel was the most obvious answer to do that.
Sneasel is also good because it threatens King Gambit, who is a bit of a problem for this team if Scovillain goes down. The other Pokemon can handle it somewhat, but I wanted a Pokemon that was even better against it than like Pelipper or Phocasash Basculesian.
If you wanna use to see more content like this, make sure you subscribe. And if you want to see the full, unedited, five-hour version of this challenge, you can check that out on the Patreon. Now, of course, I had theoried that Scovillain could work, but it's always pretty nerve-wracking when you use a Pokemon that really nobody else is using, or at least doesn't have very widespread usage.
So as I sat down to start the challenge, Of course, there was nothing I could do except find out for myself if Scovillen could really keep up. This is another mega Floette team. We're gonna do our default mode into this. Scovillen is really- like, this team has four physical attackers and Floette. So, like, my Scovillen in theory is really good here. Four philosophical attackers, mousehold Floette. We just- I think the real thing is, like, are we- like, they're probably gonna go for Calm Mind, right? So we just need to make sure we can keep our Basculi Legion as safe as possible. Okay, it's actually Aerodactyl plus Sneasel in the lead, which is a little unusual. I think I can't lose Scovillain. This is kind of my only answer to Floette, so I think it's fine to do this. They
don't Mega Evolve Aerodactyl, which makes sense. We would expect it to be Mega Floette. My thought process is basically, if they protect Aerodactyl here, They don't protect either, Mon. Let's see if they flinch me here. We want to see Tailwind, I guess.
Okay, Wingbeat, actually.

Get started freeInteresting. And Dire- Oh, God.
That could be bad. No, no, no, no, no, no, no.
Okay, that's lucky. Here's Liquidation. Oh, it's not Sash Arrow. I guess it could be Sash on the Sneaseler then. I gotta watch out for that. Um, this is kind of spooky. Yes. I think I'm losing this actually. If they protect Sneaseler here, I'm in huge trouble, but I don't think they really want to. Here's the Mega Evolution. Let's see if they protect. That's the real question. Okay, we got the Sneaseler. That's really good. This means that if I can get a leashed up,
my position becomes really, really good. You have a Moonblast, that's probably the end of Basque. I don't know why I take this. Good job, Basque Legion, you fought hard. I should play as if it's Basque Legend, right? Because that's the mouse hold. Because I think that my Sko villain can beat this thing in a 1v1.
That's not good, I should have snarled. Okay, here's Electro Shot. Do you think Mouse Hold goes down to plus 2 Electro Shot? Yeah, it does. I should have doubled the other slot. Is it calm mind?
Okay, it's calm mind. Okay, that's pretty bad. I doubled the mouse. I guess I should have split targets. No, I think this is the right move. Where is this gosh darn focus sash?
Is it on the mice? It's probably on the mice, right? Oh my god, they didn't follow me. I'm going 8th. Oh, please go for Gleam.
My God, I'm playing so bad.
Here's Electro Shot, plus two. No Sash, no Sash, no Sash. Oh, it had to be somewhere. Man, I'm about to be plus three, but who even cares? Let's see if it's Gleam or if it's something else. Super Fang, into Peli, okay, I should survive the turn then. Doesn't activate Citrus, I guess I need to be 1 HP lower.
My thought process is that if I get this turn wrong, then they would protect Mousehold, right? Like this? Okay. I'm plus 3 Arcaladon, and they have Floette and Mega. I don't even get the KO with plus 3 Frengard, even if they weren't plus 1 special defense.
Uh oh, Peli. Oh, they went into Pelipper. That's not good. Oh, they totally got me. I didn't think about this play. Oh, I should have switched. Oh no, okay. Okay, it's okay, it's okay. The problem here is that, oh, there's a lot of problems.
Okay, I actually made the wrong play. I think I'm scarfed into Electro Shot. So, because rain's gonna end, I need to switch there. Oh man, okay, okay, okay. Oh, if I still had the rain, it would be fine, but yeah. I need to switch Pelipper out that turn and go for Electro Shot.
Okay, Mouse Hold takes down to 0%. If I hit this Leech Seater, it might still be possible. I'm doing 18% a turn. They gleam. Okay, that's actually good. I mean it's good and bad 117 down to 18. We've seen all four moves, right? Moonblast. Okay, we got the burn. We need to hit this leech seed We are gonna lose. Okay, leech seed comes out So they take 18% a turn. I heal a little bit every turn. Rain ends. They're plus one special defense So here's 13% I put them down to
They've lost a third of their health. I'm so close. Maybe they'll go for Calm Mind, Copium. Maybe they'll go for Moonblast. That's a crazy play. They could have gleamed. I had Rage Powder. Wait, what a crazy play. Okay. I don't really understand that. I guess they're just styling on me. They called the Protect. Okay, Licheed comes out, floods down to a third of, two thirds of its health. After this turn, they're going to be down another. So if Overeat does a third of its health, then I'll win, right?
But they're not killing me with Moonblast. They're only plus one, and my Scovillain is pretty tanky, but it also is a super powerful Pokemon. Okay, let's see. Does this do over half? 162, then to 72. something. Good drop. Good job, Skovillain. You get a crit. 33. I think that's dead. 33, so it's below 17, right? That's below 17. I think Skovillain just 1v1 boosted. Wait,
I'm not even exaggerating. 1v1'd it. Yeah, our Kalina never hit this thing. I think I just 1v1'd Mega Floette with Calm Mind Boost with my Scovillain. I'm pretty sure, unless I'm counting wrong. Here's another Calm Mind. If I'm wrong, then I was supposed to go for Overheat here, because I think I would have taken another one, or pretty close at least. No, I don't think I would have. It did like a hundred damage, right? Okay, here's Lich Seed. This Floette, he got soloed by the peppers. I think this mod might be real. Okay, well, that was pretty good. Hello, I'm here to tell you that you only have
a little bit over 24 hours left to get the Difference Notebook. The Difference Notebook, hello, look, I've got it, hello. For those of you unaware, this is a notebook that I designed specifically to help with note-taking in official competitive Pokemon.
I've used it for my last several tournaments. I think it is awesome. I think note taking is super important at the top level when it comes to competitive Pokemon. And to be honest, I designed this in large part because I wanted it and I wanted to be able to use it.

So if you want one, this is the only time
you'll be guaranteed to. It's totally possible. I would like to do- I mean, Aerodactyl actually looks pretty good here. The issue with Aerodactyl is that how on earth am I getting through this Milotic? If I can get weather control, then yeah, I'm kind of chilling. I almost wonder if it's worth leading Arcaladon Dragon Tamer, that's not Aaron Zhang. That guy hates dragons.
Okay, Aegislash plus Bascule Legend, okay.
What should I do? What's a girl to do? I think this lead favors me more than them. You know, honestly, Protect Protect is probably fine here. I don't like it. I'd like to make something like a more aggressive play, but I also don't hate it.
Let's see what they go for with the Aegislash here. Expect it's going to be something like Sacred Sword. Oh, it's super slow on the Basque Legend. Oh, nope, it's just Shadow Sneak. Okay, my bad. Flip turn.
Okay.
There could be Sash on the Aegislash. Sash slash. They have Sacred, or at least Shadow Sneak. Maybe there's Sash the bask? Okay, you're sneak again. That means they're not going for rock wood jet. That's actually pretty good for me. If I hit the rock slide. Okay, I don't know why they made this play then. Maybe they were eager to survive? I
don't get it. But they're not sash here and I'm gonna get the Rock Slide off now. I hit the Aegislash, so if they were Sash there, they're gonna take a third of his health from my weak Aerodactyl with no attack investment. I have a little bit, technically. I have 8 points of attack investment from my Rock Slide. Okay. A Sneasler. I would love to go for Dual Wingbeat, but that's also the way I lose this game, is going for dual wingbeat. I should maybe consider going for tailwind here. The chip
on Aerodactyl could matter. Okay, they're switching out here. Here's nine tails. So they didn't even bring a mega this game. That's interesting. I protect arrow. I can gambit. Okay. Okay. They go for close combat. It's pretty spooky. So I really would love to clear this Sneaseler. Like I think they're going gonna protect Sneaselur, but at the same time, the most important Pokemon for me to get rid of here is the Sneaselur.
The Sneaselur. I knew it was coming, but I didn't wanna, yeah, okay, fine. Okay, they can miss Blizzard, though. They're not Scarf Ninetales.
What did they go for here?
They have both, okay, that's fine. Okay, that sucks, I think I'm losing now. That may have, I think that mattered, am I crazy? I go Flash Cannon here in Hurricane, I think. Ugh, that sucks, okay. That's really bad, okay.
Just Flash Cannon. Oh, I already damaged this thing, I kind of forgot about that. Here's Close Combat, I already damaged this thing. I kind of forgot about that. Here's Close Combat, I will survive this. Okay, let's play, are they waiter or not? Okay, they are worried.
So I'm gonna get, I should get this. Wait, I think Hurricane doesn't KO, I just remembered. Oh, I think I made a mistake. Does this not KO? We Let's see if they have freeze dry. I think if they have freeze dry they might want to go for it now. Although honestly, Blizzard might get in anyway. I need to watch out for Encore as well. Here's Shadow Sneak. Okay, nothing I can do about this. Just have to accept that I'm taking the damage. I could have like done something fancy like switch our Kaladin to King Gambit and protect and then switch... freeze dry, so I think I'm dead. I think I'm giga dead. I don't have a good move to hit
this thing. I don't have a steel move, so beating this Ninetales is going to be a little bit tricky. If they go for King's Shield here, then they will give me an attack boost, which is maybe good. They freeze dry, okay, this is probably Sacred Sword. I could have gone for Sucker Punch. Poltergeist, okay. So that's probably good for me. Which is stronger, Lowkicker or Kautau? Kautau is way stronger. Kautau is allegedly a 3 hit KO on Ninetales with no bulk. I get the Aegislash here. Maybe they just play as if I have Iron Head and they forfeit.
Copium. Ninetales does not get disabled. Okay, that's bad. Oh, they blizzarded and they missed! They missed Pelipper! They're going for the freeze, they're gonna get the freeze. Oh my god, 126 down to 94. Okay, Kowtow comes out. Okay, it's a 3k.
I think I'm winning this all of a sudden. Okay, they get me here. Ugh, this is gonna be really close. Okay, if Kowtow's doing a third, then Sucker Punch's min damage is 28, maximum damage is 33. Kowtow did 38. That's in Sucker Punch range, but I don't think I want to go for Sucker here because
it could Encore me, right? But even if they Encore me, I think it's worth going for Sucker. Min damage is 28%. Go for sucker. Min damage is 28%. We have a protect. Even if they Encore me, eventually the Encore will end. They're thinking about it. Okay, great. I was a little bit too close for comfort, in my opinion. I miss Scovillain. They didn't even bring Charizard. I could have brought my

Get started freeScovillain. Oh man. I guess it made sense they didn't bring Charizard. I do have Aerodactyl and Politoed. Okay, top 100. It's been a little bit since I've been in top 100. Okay, this is a team with Kangaskhan, Sareledge, Innocent, Ninetales. So, okay. Scovillain is really good here into some of these Pokemon, but certainly not all of them.
Like, honestly, not a good matchup, I don't think. Kangaskhan's Seriledge. Okay, interesting. Just Lich Seed the Seriledge, I guess? The Kangaskhan has higher base HP. Let's Lich Seed.
I'm worried about this thing setting up, right? We're Lich Seed to Sterile Edge and Protect here. Okay, Protect from Vask. No Mega from the Kang, which implies Fake Out in my opinion. Fake Out into the...
Uh...
Fish.
They bulk up. Okay, I mean, I knew what was coming. The issue is that they probably have Bitter Blade here, right? I hit Lich Seed, which could be really big. I can't burn this thing, but I can make its life harder to... to... I have to watch out for Sinisha who is likely to switch in at some point. This thing probably has what?
Bulk up, Shadow Sneak maybe, Bitter Blade. Kangaskhan I'm not that worried about with her Kaladin in the back. If they switch out this is probably Sinisha. Yep, okay, that makes sense. Are they gonna protect here or are they just gonna attack? They protect, okay.
Does Overheat kill Sinisha? I have no idea. My god it super kills. It giga kills. So who do I go after here? The Sin'Asha or the Sarelej? I'm going to do Liquidation.
They could switch out here. Okay they Ragepowder. Okay this is a bad move for me, although it does cover for Focus Ash. I think they're going after my Sin'A- my- oh no. Ugh it's really bad. I should have just gone for Protect. I overthought it.
Okay, the good news is that there's no good news. Okay, I get the Kayle and Sinistra, which is a really big deal. Really really big deal here. Because now Serilaj's HP is... The thing is it can still go back up because of Bitter Blade. We've seen Shadow Sneak, we've seen Protect, we've seen Bulk Up. So we know three of the four moves. I should be taking notes. And we know the item as well.
Eugh, that's not good. That means my passive damage is just not going to add up very quickly. They're going to go for a second Bulk Up on this turn is my guess. They're going to go for Kang, go for Fake Out, and go for a second Bulk Up. Leech Seed the Kang. There's Peli. Rocky Helmet, Rocky Helmet, Rocky Helmet, Rocky Helmet.
Fake out. Fine.
Second bulk up. They are faster than me, it's worth noting. I hit a second Leech Seed. The issue is that right now my damage isn't stacking up fast enough. Am I crazy for saying I kind of want to go for Overheat into the Kang here? I know Seraledge is plus two. Like they're going to switch to Ninetales here if they have it. I assume they have it, right? Ninetales, yeah, I mean, I know what's happening. The problem is just, can I stop it?
They're plus two on this stupid Seraledge. Our Caledon comes in. Let's see if, I assume to watch out for. Okay, Bitter Blade into Seraledge. This is what I, into, um, not Seraledge, sorry, into Scovillain. Damage is adding up, but is it adding up quick enough? That's the big question. Also, am I supposed to lock into Rage Powder, or am I supposed to lock into Electro Shot
here? Probably not, right? They stayed in. So I reset my special attack drops, my Scovillan is still looking good. I can use Scovillan later to beat the Kangaskhan in theory. They sneak. Sneaky, sneaky. Helibrary takes a lot of damage from that. But I'm gonna get a Draco Meteor off.
Let's see if they KO me here with Freeze Dry. I hit Draco. Huge, if true. How much does this do? Seralith is pretty tanky. but not quite. Is this freeze dry? Blinzer. They hit both. Dude, these Nihil's players are built different, I don't want to tell you. No freeze? Dude, you've got to be kidding me. Uh, that might be game losing, actually.
Because now what? Now what am I supposed to do? Um. Ah, dude! No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no And they hit again, okay. Rekhaladon survives, barely. They actually switch 9-tails out. Okay, so I'm only taking 1 attack this turn. Zerilog is back. Okay, I think with that play, I actually might be back. I'm still losing, to be clear.
They mega-evolve. If this is fake-out or an attack into my Sko villain that I'm in better shape, It's still kind of bad though. Fake out, fake out, fake out, fake out, fake out, fake out, fake out, fake out. Oh, I thawed! Hang on, I'm back. Okay. Thank you, new thaw chance. It's just not very much damage is the thing. We go for double edge. Okay, they're gonna take some recoil here.

Get started freeBy some, I mean a ton because they almost killed me in one. Ugh, okay. This sucks. Who else think it? Okay, I made the right play by accident I think. Nuntles comes in. I have minus a billion Arcaladon, but that's kind of okay. I protect Skovillain. I haven't shown Ragepowder yet, right? Okay, hit again.. Sarcaladon's
doing his best. Is it enough? No, it's not enough. The question ultimately is can I beat this Ninetales in the endgame? Okay, we're taking a risky, we're making a risky play here. We're giving up our weather control, potentially. We've burned Kangaskhan. We switched. Dude, what is going on? I can't get through this game. They blizzard but they miss.
Which one? Oh no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
Oh, that's not good. That is not good. Oh, that's very good. Don't freeze. Okay, break the sash if they have it. Oh my god, this game is a freaking roller coaster. Leftovers? Okay, here's my game plan. They're gonna go for Blizzard again. I've learned what kind of
player this is. This is the Blizzard player. So I'm gonna overheat in the rain and I'm gonna wide guard. Here's wide guard. No protects. Okay, if I hit this overheat I win the game. I'm almost positive. I hit this overheat, I maintain permanent weather control. I take this. Okay, but they heal. They heal a lot actually. I didn't think about the healing factor. I lose now. I actually lose? No, not yet. I haven't lost yet. Okay, I'm losing both Pokemon here. Oh, they Encored me into Wide Guard.
Okay.
That's not good. I need to go into Basket Legion now. This sucks so much. Like, I'm so close to winning. What if the last move is Aurora Veil? I think Ninetales might switch to Kang here, but they also could go for Blizzard.
Okay, are they going to protect? How much health do they have in this thing still? Oh my god, I was too scared to make a call. Wide guard again. Hey, how much health do they have in this Kang? Less than 12, less than 12, less than 12.
Oh, less than 12. Hold on. Okay, I think they could switch Seraledge into Ninetales and go for Sucker Punch. Okay, they switched out. I think this is Sucker Punch then. Here's our Kaladon. I go for Protect. This sucks so much. Deer Diary. Sucker Punch. Okay. Okay, Keng goes down. Bastion Legion in the rain with Aqua Jet? 67 is the min roll. So I will always get this thing with Aqua Jet.
In rain. Outside of rain, I may not get it. I know that the Sera Ledge has Protect. My play is so obvious here. Switch and Electro Shot. And we're gonna call Protect on the Seraledge.
They're thinking about it, that's not good. Three minutes left until the battle ends, hang on a second. Here's Peli, here's Peli. Protect from Seraledge. Okay, great. And I think with that we're gonna win unless they find a way to Timer Sol me here here because I have Scar for Kaladon. They're not Scar for Ninetales, I think we already knew that, they already used Encore.
Holy cow, is this game close? Although I guess I shouldn't celebrate yet, like imagine they get triple protect into the win. Ninetales goes down. Okay. They may be able to win on timer, or not win, but I think on ladder it results in a tie. There's so many animations here with leftovers and yeah, I think that they have double the win or they'll tie us. They're going to take the full time.
They know, they know, they know. Oh no, they might need a double. They might just, they might be able to do it with a, oh, they snuck, they sneaked.
Okay.
Our cowl goes down. And I think with that, this was a really high rated opponent. I think with that, oh, that was close. That was really close. My God. Okay. I think with that, we're over 2200, which is great. That means we're probably within about a hundred points, and if not pretty close of first place. Aerodactyl, potential scissor mega. I don't think they're bringing scissor so it's probably some combination of instant, sinistra, sneasler, floette. It's the guess. One thing I can do by the way is I could be a little bit more aggressive if I wanted on the first turn. I could like if they lead sneasler plus um okay floette plus instant is the lead actually. I don't think this is a good lead for me.
I guess the good news is that if I lose Basculation, then they have to give me both, they have to probably give me Burn and also Leech Seed, Liquidation, okay. There's nothing, my god, that's not even like Pachyberry. Defense Falls doesn't really matter, this is my only physical attacker. Palm Mind comes out, okay, so I get the Leech Seed off, which is really good, although I do need to really be careful against... Um...
I need to be very, very careful against Sinistra now. Okay, I get the Leech Seed off. Let's see if they go for Harding Shot here. Harding Shot into my Skowvillain, okay, so I guess this is Sinisha coming in. Sinisha comes in. Okay, that's fine. I haven't even damaged this thing yet. Or the Floette yet. Do I think, do I, how much damage do I do to this thing with minus one? Choose Sinisha. I'm minus one, I'm still killing if they're not, uh, no, it's a roll to kill and they're, I got some We'd like to see Gleam I think.
Protect from Basculation, show me Dazzling Gleam. Oh that's not good, game over. That's pretty bad. I can't really damage this thing can I? Yeah that's pretty bad. Yes or no?

Get started freeHere's Overheat. I should have maybe just targeted down the Floette here. The damage is adding up, just not very fast, is it? I think I'm screwed, right? I have the Leech Seed off, but they get to heal it fully on this next turn. I can see what's happening, it's just not, I just can't do anything about it. We need to break through the healing. If we get through the healing, Floette will lose to
our Kaladon eventually, or whatever it's called. Oh, they're slow as well. This is not a very powerful move. My god. This is pathetic. Boom blast. Hello. Oh Well, here's the burn. That's great. Actually. It's good one tanks it very good. Good job. Skull villain Like a hundred damage hundred and twenty damage here spicy spray next critical hit a little baby Good damage, but it's not enough. Just don't do any damage here. Okay, I Don't love this. Are they going for like life too?
That's an option as well that they could go for.
Gleam.
This is really bad. I just don't have the damage output, right? I've taken too much. I hate the stupid Mon. I hate the stupid Mon. I hate the stupid Mon.
Okay, it's fine. It's really not fine because I don't have a way to get through this very easily, right? I'm minus five on my Scovillan. Send in our Kaladon. This would be a great time to have- nope, if I had- oh, Moonblast. Oh, Scovillan is Giga dead. You know, honestly, that's alright. You fought hard, Scovillan.
It's not your fault.
Five, two, okay.
So now what? Now what indeed? Here's Wideguard, okay, they should go for Ragepowder here I think. Okay, Ragepowder. If this is Gleam, I have a small chance to win this. Very, very small. I hit both, they're back to plus 1 special attack now. Show me, show me Dazzling Gleam. Please, show me Dazzling Gleam, please. Okay, that's, okay. They're back to minus, or to plus one. But I think they're gonna switch to finish it out here. Okay, they switch out. Into Arrow.
Oh, that's not good. Into Arrow last. I hit both, that's important. 20% from the Snarl. You know, the mess of things is I'm actually pretty close all things considered. Here's Moonblast into my Peli. I should live this.
It's neutral, right?
Barely. But I do live it.
Here's Hurricane.
Oh, a Nervous turning off my Citrus. That's not good.
Didn't do anything.
Oh, I got the Confusion.
Okay, it's big.
Big if true.

Get started freeTrue if big. They're gonna get minus one after this. But like you see that I'm close right? The bur- like Skullvillain's parting gift is adding up here for sure. What I'm actually worried about here is them switching out their Floette. Okay they stayed in. What are they going for with Arrow here? Okay hit both. Show me confusion, show me confusion damage here. Confuse, confuse, confuse, confuse!
Nope!
That's not good. Hey, that's good. The thing is, like, the damage is adding up. Like, it's actually adding up, right? You know what, let's just let Peli go down. I think that Basculation can win this one. Basculation plus Snarl Arch. Like, they have to bring in Sinish to this turn, yeah? They have two turns left to tailwind after this. Yummy, yummy. I also think this is a chance I live. Oh, but if I go into Moonblast here, ugh. They're back up, now I won't damage them this turn. Sorry, Peli, I think you may be going,
I think you may be not long for this world. Charge it! Minus one, do I still die? I'm dead. I didn't really have a better play there to be honest. Oh, they crit me. I don't know if it mattered. I think it mattered actually because I had 100 HP left. I had more than I realized I was going to have and I missed. Dude, our Kaladin. It's fine. It's fine. It's fine. It's fine. Okay. Now they're going to switch into Incense.. Switching moves would be so nice.
Do you think I could win this? I'm down four to two and the rain's about to end and they have Tailwind up. There's no way, right? Because once the rain ends, my life becomes about 100 times worse. I actually think they could just sack both here.
Okay, Float Switches, this is what I was afraid of. Into Arrow. Oh, this slot is the instant. Oh good play, good play, good play. They sac Aero this way. Oh no they sac Sinistra.
What?
Hello? What?
So, wasn't their Floette slower than my Basculation? Didn't we see that earlier? The rain does end which is pretty unfortunate for it ya boy. Aero comes back in. God this is going to be really close. I still have my, I have have both sashes still intact. They protect Arrow actually. Doesn't tailwind ending this
turn or am I crazy? Here's Aqua Jet. Does this kill? Oh no. Oh, you've gotta be kidding me. I'm just barely short. I'm just barely short. No, no, no, no, no, no, no. okay, I hit. Oh, dude.
You gotta be kidding me. Throw Chop, okay.
But now, here's the thing. Oh, if they throw Chop on my Arcaladon, I would struggle. God, it's so close. Oh, it's so close. There's a couple ways this can go wrong. The thing is, if Floette switches in, I could miss Snarl, but it's 95% accurate. So I feel like Arcaladon's gonna hit,
is my belief, my copium. They switched Arrow out. Oh, that's not what I expected. So now this slot takes the Aqua Jet. How much health do they have left on this thing? There's Aqua Jet.
49 down to 37.
He missed!
He missed the Anson!
Dude, I cannot believe that. I was gonna have it! I actually had it. No joke, I actually seriously had it. And he missed. Our Kaladon!
Dude, that's, that, oh my god! Can he clutch here? There's no way. There's actually no way.

Get started freeHe, he threw!
Oh my god, they got me. Oh my god. Protect, protect, protect, protect. Okay, now, dude, he's so close. Calm mind, no. Oh my God, is Arcaladon literally inted?
14. Okay, I have clicked Snarl eight times. Do they have Wide Guard? They have a guaranteed win that I missed. Oh my God, Arcaladon, you are such a thrower. 95% accurate!
He missed twice!
What?
They're giving me Incin. I think there was a safer way for them to win, but okay, whatever. Okay, it's single target Snarl, but it's not gonna do enough. Oh, it still drops their stats if they die?
I just want Snarl to take two KOs on Incin and Aerodactyl. Oh my God. 14% single target damage? There's no way. Float is so tanky and this thing's max HP. Yeah, Snarl's max damage is seven.
Oh, that's, no, no, its max damage is eight. Nope, its max damage is seven. These have been two very grindy, very frustrating games. That's okay, I guess it's like, yeah, I was so close. They BM'd me. They went for Gleam when they could have Moonblasted.
Wow, okay, GG, GG, yeah, that's unfortunate. I mean, to be fair, I should've lost the last one and I didn't lose any points, so maybe it's fair that I lost this one. And I think I got pretty stuck in the mid-game here. I don't like playing this grindy style. Maybe I'm supposed to bring Cringe Gambit into this. Oh, I have Fubble at 2200.
Okay, we had a chance at Redemption here. It's a similar concept. I could lead Pelipper plus Basculation. That's one option. And in the back have Arcaladon and Scoville. And the thing about this is that
I don't think I can burst them down, right? That's unthinkable to me. Oh, they just attacked. Okay, Baskin Legion should survive this. Both of my monsters should survive. Get the burn. I just need to not flinch. They missed? That's good regardless. Okay, as long as Skavilla doesn't flinch here, we should be good.
Liquidation. Sash? Okay, it makes sense. We just need to... We just need to hit the leech seed. Come on, leech seed, baby. I think I gotta take a break. I can't believe this. That is so, so bad. Am I in range here? Calling the Sinistra coming in. Okay. Oh, hold on a second. If I hit this
overheat I'm back, because then I'll have gotten basically two KOs. Well, not really, but yeah, I've gotten a KO. But they also have gotten two KOs. Okay, I hit.
What?!
That didn't do
Wait, I'm sorry, what? That shouldn't even be possible to do that little. Did I calc something wrong? The base damage is 160, but I don't understand how that's possible. They aren't boosted specially. Sinistra, that's the name of the Pokemon, right? The min roll here is 91%. I'm not even mad, I just don't understand. Wait, I don't understand how that's possible.
Heatproof!
It's not hospitality, it's heatproof! Oh my god, I'm losing to heatproof Sinisha. I live this, I live this, I live this, I live this. I live this? Okay, he hit this time. Okay, hang on, hang on, hang on hang on hang on hang on hang on

Get started freethey're heat proof freaking sinister
yummy yummy yummy yummy okay this damage is gonna add up oh man oh is that good or bad oh man okay honestly having intimidate back on the field is not terrible. I usually watch my rain turns because they will end pretty soon. Or like, not pretty soon, but soon enough. They Moonblast, okay. Okay, I can Overheat here in case they go back into Sinistra and I can Wideguard.
I could lose both Mons here, but I have a chance of getting something. The rain ending is really going to rain on my parade, no pun intended. The thing is, the recovery is limited because of the fact that, uh...
Oh no!
Oh wait, this is okay. Sorry! Sorry, Scovillan. My bad. My bad, my bad, my bad, my bad, my bad, buddy. My Pelipper's still pretty is currently on the field. And I block Ruckslide.
This 1 HP Arcanine is a huge pain. Oh, I have less HP than I remembered. I forgot I'd taken damage on Basculation. Oh, and I wasn't supposed to even go into Basculation, was I? I was supposed to go into Arcaladon there. Whoops!
Okay, yeah. They switched? I should have clicked Last Respects. Oh man. My bad. Show me Protect from Arcanine. Should I lock into Electro Shot here? I should have clicked Last Respects. Stupid Mon.
Okay, I survive. Barely, but I do. It has Protect. Oh, I didn't think about what happened if they had Protect.
Okay.
I should have locked Flash Cannon. With one turn of rain left, it was just too ambitious. I've made so many mistakes this game. Man.
Okay.
I'm plus one, which is good, I guess. The rain ends at the worst possible turn. Yeah. If I could have gone Protectless Flash Cannon here, my life would be like a hundred times easier. I don't think Myrkaladon's dying to Dazzling Gleam though, and I think that makes things a bit different. Okay, Sneaselurr comes in.
Sneaselurr comes in here, what do I do? Do I Liquidation it? We know it's not Sash. Wait, yeah, yeah, we know it's not Sash. If only I had Flash Cannon available on this. Nah, even if I had Flash Cannon it wouldn't really make a difference here. Five more turns of rain, which is probably good.
I've not revealed that I'm Scarf yet, which is probably good as well.
Rage Powder, okay, we're trading one for one in a best case scenario.
In a worst case scenario, they're going for Close Combat here, and activating White Herb.
Oh my god. Ehh.
I think I lose this, like, because they, unless they go for dire claw into into my thing here Shoot another get the white herb active

Get started freeOkay, that's probably game over
46% and my basque legions max roll with aqua jet in the rain is 45% hmm
Hmm potentially in range you are back Protect from Basque. Protect from Floette.
Hey! Now what?
Protect from Peli. Rock slide. Show me rock slide and get KO'd. Please? Here's Aqua Jet. I think I'm still gonna lose. They have Direclaw. I could have gone for Hurricane. Am I in Direclaw range, by the way? I have a 1 in 3 chance of getting a double protect. Is that worth considering? It's probably better than anything else. Odds of crit, odds of
double protect. I'm still losing this. I've had Hurricane that last turn. No! Oh my god, I could have wide guarded. I could have wide guarded.
That sucks.
Oh my god! Oh my god!
God, this is a brutal session. I'm playing for an hour and I went tie, lose, lose. Oh man, I wasn't even like my team was bad. I just, it sucks. The three bad games. I'm playing, I'm making mistakes.
I just don't like ending on a loss. Oh man, I've lost so many points. It sucks. Come on, getting a rank one is brutal. Heatproof Sinitia, Heatproof Sinitia, Heatproof Sinitia, lovely. He proofs initia. Lovely. SkoVillain! SkoVillain heads rise up!
SkoVillain heads rise up! Okay. They have Garganacal, which is pretty spooky. Sneaselor SkoVillain. Okay. That can't be good.
That cannot be good. I have SkoVillain plus Bask. So I don't hate just, plus liquidation here. They could go for Rage Powder, but I honestly think I need to clear this Skovillain. I think it's gotta be priority number one. I have to clear the Sneaseler, sorry. The Skovillain is my priority, but I need to deal with their Skovillain before I can
use mine. None of these words are the correct words, whatever. Here's Skovillain, it's mega evolving. It could go for Ragepowder, which would not only break my Sash, but also burn me, which would be bad. Um, we want to see Fakeout here, I think. Or maybe- Okay, no Protect, no Fakeout. Dude, how? Oh, man. How did that not kill?
67 damage. Belich to me, okay. Interesting. I think they're probably just gonna Protect. Okay, they R better. So I think trading a burn here for the Kao and Scovillain is actually fine. Assuming that my Pelibur plus,
assuming my Pelibur gets to attack, which is not a guarantee. Ooh, that did a lot of damage. Okay, I get burned, which is bad. I actually get burned on both my Pokemon, which is very bad.
They go for Direclaw again. Hey. Hey! Delicious. I'm seeded on Basculegion. I get- okay, I get rid of the Scovillain. Honestly, given how good this Pokemon is, it's not such a huge- like, it's not a terrible trade, I think.
They go into their own Basculegion, so... I'm also- I'm seeded here, so... I wanna switch out, to be honest. Switch to Arcaladin here and go for liquidation here. I think I'm just gonna go for Last Respects and get the KO, but I think this is still okay, right? What do I have in the back, potentially? So I think what we really want to see here is the Basque
Legion go for… we want to see Niesel go for Protect. I Protect first, because I am faster right now. Okay, cool, I made the right call, I think. I think they want to Lost Respect into my Basque. They hit Peli. Okay. It's still okay because they don't know I'm Scarf.
Transcribe all your audio with Cockatoo
Get started freeBecause they don't know I'm Scarf, then they don't realize that their best play here is to... They don't realize their Basque Legion is in danger, assuming that it is Scarf, which is likely. So I'll Electro Shot here and I will Liquidation here. Oh my god, the Sneasler. Oh no, King Gambit, that's not good. I forgot about this.
Okay, Liquidation comes out, they don't protect. Please don't drop Defense, please don't drop Defense. Okay, I move next. With the KO, okay cool. That's a really big swing. That's a really, really big swing.
Scovillen beats the Gambit. We have 9% left. There's Peli. There's Sucker Punch, but it fails, okay. They didn't go for Fake Out. Here's Electroshot.
This is now plus 2. I think this should KO, right? Surely? Plus 2 will surely get should KO right? Surely? Plus two we'll surely get it right? Okay our Kaladin gets King Gambit, good job our Kaladin, really nice. Yeah really really nice. And then they go four, close combat, okay.
Dropping defenses. Okay. No rain, Aqua Jett should still KO even though I'm burnt. Scovillen comes back in. Aqua Jett comes out. Cool. And Basculation wins the game. Nice. Okay. Skullvillain didn't do that much in this game,
but that's okay. Skullvillain mirror match. Their Skullvillain did a lot, burned all my guys. Ooh, it's a Mega this is a good enough lead. So maybe I do Basculation plus Pelipper here with our Caledon on the back. I don't think this is a Sko villain game. It's not not a Sko villain game.
I guess every game is a Sko villain game if you're a real one. potentially use sturdy for one skip. Okay, Blastoise plus Sneaselurr is the lead. I have Basculation plus Pelipper. Mega Blastoise is base 78. How fast is Basculation? Also 78.
It could be a speed tie if they go to plus two. Let's go Liquidation and Hurricane here. I think every bit of damage kind of matters. I guess they probably have Sinister in the back, right? Fake out. That's not good.
Liquidation. I think I need a Mega Arrow here in hindsight. Sash, okay that's not good. Dull smash, okay, that's not good. Plus two, plus two, plus two, plus two, okay. We're gonna go for liquidation here, and we're gonna go for wide guard.
We're gonna say, God I hope this thing doesn't have feint. That's not good. I could be faint. I just had to say something, yes? Okay, I think I lose now. Oh, but I win the speed tie, okay, how much does this do? A billion, a billion, a billion, a billion.
Half is good, half is great. Half is good, half is great. Defense falls, great, awesome, love that. Bout, okay, fine. Not, I mean, made a different play. They're minus two defense now, so I'll liquidate and I will hurricane.
I was like god I hope this works. Stupid Sash, faint Sneasler. Stupid stupid stupid stupid stupid. That's not good. That's really bad. Dark clone to Basque, okay survive.
No poison no poison no poison.
The para would have been bad there too. I'm gonna call into Bask, okay, survive. No poison, no poison, no poison.
Pair would have been bad there too. Can I even beat this Blastoise? Like, real question. I don't think I can, right? I have no Sash Pokemon left. Baskillegion took too much damage. I should have just realized I might be faster
than the Blastoise and just gone on the offensive and not bothered with Feint, because if I had Hurricane that turn I would have been in good shape and now Sinister comes in and what am I supposed to do? There's none of the damage ultimately. And I'm running out of rain too. Yeah I think Skovillen was a mistake here. If I had King Gambit that would even be better. I go for Rage Powder.
Liquidation is probably stronger than last run- no it's 100 versus like 60 right? faster which is a good thing probably. Eugh, that's not good. Okay, I can win this, trust. There's one very narrow win condition here.
This is assuming- okay, okay, okay, okay, I should have Electro-Shotted, I should have Electro-Shotted. Okay, last respects. Gets the KO.
Okay.
They're minus one special defense. Is this enough to get the KO with Draco? Because I might have made a mistake, and honestly, in all honesty, they spout. I should have Electroshot, but I was worried about Protect here. Arcaladon survives with a 1 HP thanks to Sturdy. Does minus one Draco Meteor get the KO? I want to say it will. I think it will. Arcaladon, you're going to hit this move, right buddy? I'm gonna ride off into the sunset. You're gonna KO? This might not be enough.
Okay, our Caledon hit a move, got a KO. It's now a two versus one. Rain ends this turn. What's the last Pokemon? Because it could be Pelipper, in which case I may have made a mistake
in that I might not be able to win. It's either Pelipper or King Gambit. Oh, I win!
I win! I win, I think. I could miss all my moves still. Okay. Oh, that was awful. I hated that. I hated that. I hated that. I'm glad I found the way to win.
Paras Trap. I have to play Paras Trap. I guess the good news is that my Basculation looks pretty good here. I think this is a no mega game. Their Arcaladon looks like a nightmare. Um, okay, it's not Scoville and Ever. It's one of these two. Aerodactyl gives me a mega. It gives me a way to outspeed Mega Gengar. It gives me access to Tailwind. It's good into a lot of these Pokemon
and outspeeds Basculation. Pelipper lets me set the rain, I'm relying on their Politoed. Pellet Burst is good into Incin and Sinistra. Pretty bad otherwise. I don't need to lock into Electro Shot this game, especially unless they bring Politoed. I have King Gambit. Yeah, I'm gonna do Arrow. Because I also don't want to enable their Arcaladon. Incin Gengar, so they're giving me a boost right away. King Gambit plus Bask.
Okay. Baskascular Legion protects. The Incident also likely has protect, right? Gambit goes for protect. Bake out into Gambit. I called Shadow Ball, but maybe it's Parish. Okay, so Gambit is dead in three.
It's pretty unfortunate.
Should have just liquidated.
Okay, they're going to protect both here, right? I'm gonna low kick the Incident and switch to my Aerodactyl I think. Hero protects. This is gonna be protecting on both mons. This is my prediction. Hey! Incident protects.
Now what?
So, I'm plus one here. One thing that I could do is protect both my Pokemon here. Okay, they need to go for Parting Shot. So if that fails, oh, that's not good. That's not good. That's not good. That's not good. And I just give him a boost, which is pretty bad. I don't think Rock Slide plus Kowtow will killign. Oh, miss our Cowlodon! Please miss our Cowlodon! Dude, that's the worst case scenario, I think. Ah, it's Minspeed and I missed! Oh my god.
I'm ready to throw in the towel. I can't, I can't, I can't, I can't. I should have just protected. I knew I was supposed to protect there and I made a stupid play like an idiot. I got too fancy with it and now I'm Parastrapped. And I missed Rock Slide.
Okay. Oh wait, but they're not a plus defense guy. Yes? Protect from Gengar, show me choice scarf, or Kaladon. Protect from our Kaladon, oh my god I'm getting Parastrapped in my own game. This sucks so much.
There's Tailwind. It's not over, it's actually not over. I have my own Arkaladon in the back. They aren't plus one defense right? I didn't miss that. They're not plus defense. Okay so I'm gonna go for liquidation. I need to get rid of this ensign. I think that's the first thing. Liquidation plus rock slide. Kill the ensign as it switches in.
Gengar switches. This is ensign. If I lose one more mana I will lose the game almost certainly. Okay I hit both this time. I needed the last one, I needed the last bit of chip. This is gonna be citrus. Okay. Minus one, this should get, this should get it, right? Okay, I get the instant here. Give me a flinch. I need to get back in this game somehow. Give me the flinch. I've't think I'm dying to this, in fact, I'm sure I'm not.
Transcribe all your audio with Cockatoo
Get started freeI got really close, I was perhaps a little overconfident. They're minus two, Gengar's back on the field. I'm minus two on Arrow, which is really low. Okay, they don't switch, are they protecting here or are they attacking? Okay, I get the call right again. minus one, but better than nothing. 83 down to 51. Aura Sphere, okay, doesn't miss. What
item is on this thing? I have a chance at Rock Slide flinch here as well. I switch out again. Is this Politoed or is it Sinistra? Okay. Maybe should have gone for Dual Wingbeat in hindsight. Hindsight 90-90 or whatever. Okay, hit both Rock Slides. One stack of Last There's Lost Respects again. Doesn't do any damage, that's fine. Give me the flinch. Cheeky flinch. Cheeky flinchy. Cheeky flinch. They hit again. Okay, but they're minus two.
So, oh I lived! My god! Okay, hang on a second, we're still in it. Don't let me get disboosted by Tough. Oh no, they have Protect. Okay, that's not good. I should have switched, my bad. Draco Meteor, Aura Sphere, Electro Shot, now they're at minus one. They're faster than me as well.
Okay.
Now what? Do some more damage. I could predict both, it's an option. Okay, I should get the Gengar here. How do I win this?
I missed! My Pokemon are such, my!
I can't, I can't, I can't, I can't, I can't, I can't. Okay. Oh, okay, it mattered, but it didn't, it mattered, but it didn't matter. You know what I'm saying? Okay, chat. Here's how I can still win this. They're faster than me. They're faster than me.
They're max speed Archelodon.
They're probably sturdy. Oh, I think I got it right. Hang on a second. Tailwind is up. There's no way they take this. We've already seen the item. Okay,
Last Respects comes out. Okay, Sinitia goes down. It's a three versus one. We've seen Aura Sphere, we've seen Electroshock, we've seen Draco Meteor. Does it have Protect? They're minus three. They're minus three Arcalda and I have Sturdy Arcalda in the back and Aerodactyl at 1 HP. I need to hit one Draco Meteor and the game is over. I can protect myself with Rock Slide. Thank goodness they weren't Stamina. The thing is they have Aura Sphere so if I miss a couple times and they get a crit they might not even need a crit. They're minus three they probably need a crit.
Okay, they're protecting, whatever. I've at a lot of bad games, I'm not losing this one. Okay, thank goodness. Alrighty, let's call it there. Should be back over 2200. Beat this Parastrap team. Oh god, what a game. What a game. My god. It's not like the default team that I expect, but it's not so unusual either. They don't intimidate, which feels pretty nice for me. This is a case where King Gambit is actually really good here, especially against Aegislash. I think I should bring our Kaladin on here. I think our Kaladin's pretty big.
Float and Talonflow the leads.
Okay.
I have Scoville and Unbasky Legend. I actually don't think this is a great trade regardless because they're always attacking with, unless they go for Calm Mind on this turn specifically, I think I'm just kind of... throwing away Emon for no reason here. Like, if they go for Gleam plus Brave Bird, I'm just gonna lose Emon for... like, literally for no reason.
Ideally, Talon protects here and they go for Gleam. I think that's probably the most realistic good scenario. Tail- Okay, that's the best case scenario. They go for Tailwind... and I guess Gleam or Moonblast. Light of Ruin, oh my god that's perfect. They're gonna take a ton of recoil. Vasculation is super high base HP and I still have my Sash intact. Okay, yeah,
super good. Here's my Sash. They don't have Sand or anything so they're just gonna take a ton of damage here. This also more or less confirms that they're not Combined. Here's to be honest. Hey, get rid of Talon, so that means my super aggressive play has paid off in a pretty big way. They'll light everyone I do need to be careful about. I hit leech seed, okay good. Now what? If Floette goes down, they're going to be in huge trouble against GoVillain, I think. 45, down to 33. One more of those and it'll definitely be in range of Aqua Jet. It's probably already in range, to honest in the rain. Because it's clearly not very bulky. Okay, let's protect both our guys here.
Aqua Jet out of the range mid roll on um... Okay, they switch. King Gamit comes in, okay. Ginge Gamit. Need to be careful here, but my Scovillain is looking really strong. They have two turns left of tail end. There's no way they can kill me in one shot, right?
With like wave crash. Last Respect. One stack Last Respect versus my Skovilin, there's no way, right? Here's Rage Powder.

Get started freeHere's Last Respect.
I just need to not get crit on this attack. Oh wait a second, I'm not- Okay I burned them. I forgot that Last Respect isn't that strong right now. They low kick, are they killing me? Either way, it's good, because either they don't get the KO,
or I got the burn on both. I mean, I'm definitely winning this. The problem is that I forgot that Last Respects is only, my Last Respects is also weak now. Still a good amount of damage. 24. Nice. Good win. Good win, good win. Yeah. Okay, Scovillen completely destroyed this person. Yeah, burning both physical attackers.
I think Scovillen's a Pokemon that if you fall behind versus it, you're like, kind of just screwed. I'm top 30. I'm exactly 100 points behind first place. That's still a ways to go, but it's also the closest I've been, so I'm feeling better about that. Yeah, I think I overplayed today. I think I played way too much to be honest, but I'm gonna call it for the night
and I will come back tomorrow, potentially for some more games if I have time. Okay, good news and bad news. The bad news is that I have been up since two in the morning which is extremely bad. It's one of the worst nights to sleep
that I've had in a long time I've been up for so long. And I think that maybe Sneaselers were the shot over King Gambit. I'm like a little bit worried about Garchomp with this, but at the same time, I also think that Aerodactyl could drop Tailwind for Ice Fang. Something that I'm considering at the very least.
I'm gonna keep Tailwind for now until I start actually having problems. do swords dance stuff, but I didn't even have swords dance. So this looks like a standard team when it comes to Mega Flow at teams. The difference is that now I have the option in the back of going with Sneaselor here, if I want. I can do Sneaselor here in place of, well really anything else,
but I think I'm gonna try my default mode. I feel like I was having success versus this kind of team earlier with this. This team is no intimidate. I feel like the support from the... Sneasel is pretty good into this matchup actually, although it's so bad into the Basculation. Yeah, let's try this. Let's just, let's give it a shot. Okay, this is the lead I was afraid of.
Scovillain and Basculation are my lead. From their perspective, they have to worry about something like liquidation into the... Like, sorry, they don't know that I'm on scarf, right? And so potentially taking a big water type move would be a little bit risky here. Like I can pretty reasonably go for flip turn. I also, if I have Sneaseler in the back,
I think they really want to tailwind up and they don't know that I don't have Sneaseler in the back in this matchup. So I think I'll just do a play that could backfire. They do mega evolve. So I'm gonna, yeah, okay, here's the mega Floette. You know, I actually could have led Aerodactyl plus Sneaseler into this if I wanted.
I'm not sure it was better though. I wish Aerodactyl was a little bit stronger. Like Crunch can't KO Basket Legion. Here's Mega Scovillain. Doesn't look so good on paper right now. If I lose it here it's gonna be a pretty bad trade. Let's really go for a Talon. Okay that's not good. That's pretty bad. Maybe they're slow. They're fast. Okay. So that's pretty bad I would say. I get the burn on the Floette which is good. Get the
Leech Seed off here too, but the Talonflame is starting to get pretty spooky, and they also have Brave Bird, so Yeah, this could be pretty bad, right? Get the Burn and the Leech Seed off, but it's a pretty bad trade, I would say. Because I don't actually have the bulk in the back to kind of get through this, right? So if I'm gonna win this, it has to be with our Caledon. I know it looks pretty bad I don't think it's lost just yet, but I do think that if they have Certain Pokemon in the back of my life is gonna get really difficult
The question here is what movie they're gonna go for with their Floette. They actually stay in Floette. Looks like going to Peli So this sets up the rain, which is good. I can't believe they protected there. Wow, that's really surprising to me. Oh, dang, that sucks. Okay, they're playing really well, um, and I'm not playing so good. I'm now plus one, which is overall good. It is still winnable, but the thing is that if they have Basculation in the back, once I lose my Arcaladon, oh lord. That's pretty bad. We'll stink it. Okay.
So, they should go down. Oh no, they're still alive. Oh my god. Okay. Hmm. They're dead to one more. Oh my god, they switched. Dude, I've gotten every play wrong. And they've got Chomp. Oh my god.
Okay, it's fine. They're playing really well. They know that I'm Scarf. It was ambiguous whether or not they knew that I was Scarf. Here's Electro Shot and now plus two. Show me Gleam. Show me Gleam. Show me Gleam. Show me Gleam. Okay. Okay. I mean, we got the Mega. The question is what's in the back. Is it Basque Legion? I think Sneasel is the worst case scenario for us. Oh, I meant to change Pelipper to Evis. Okay, it's King Gambit.
Interesting. Okay, Skavlan comes in here. I could have just Electroshot. I could have Electroshot Wide-Guarded. Okay, that's not good. I think now I've lost for real for real. I get the burn off, but I'm gonna take too much damage from this most likely
And they're fat. Oh, they're actually fast. I should love this Okay, eat the citrus How fast are they? They're like max speed
My Pellet was 95 my Skaville is also 95 so

Miss.
Okay.
That's a lot of damage to be honest. Who are they going after here? Okay, I got the call correct. Does Overeat connect though? That's a big question. Okay, well, if that happens, then there's nothing I can do, unfortunately.
There's Ragecatter. I should live a rock slide I expect. Oh wait I actually already saw that I lived a rock slide. Impalipar should take a hit here too. Okay. Max speed King Gambit. How fast is max speed King Gambit? Yeah it's faster. Here's the burn. Doesn't really matter though. Okay I have two Pokemon, one HP and a dream. If I hit this weather ball then I will get the King Gambit here. Okay Okay, my fault, my fault, my fault. Ah, that's really unfortunate. So much had to go wrong. Okay, it's okay. Like, yeah, they need a double Rock Slide flinch to win. Let's see if there's Scarf, by the way. Oh, I'll never learn all the speed to be honest. My Pelipper's not doing enough damage to Sneaselur. We don't need the speed.
It's not really coming into play. There we go. Okay, it's a Sand team, which is definitely interesting. My Scovillen looks pretty good here. I definitely need Archelodon because of the Corviknight. I feel like not bringing Sneaselur here is a mistake. Who am I supposed to leave behind? You know I could leave Scovillain behind, that's one option. I don't really like doing that though. I have two megas and I bring neither. Yeah I don't really like this, I think I need a Scovillain. Cause they can just lead with Gerados and immediately
I'm on the back foot. Okay they lead Rotom Corv. So is that good or bad? Probably bad, right? We switch Grotom out actually into Gyarados, okay. We know three of the four mons at least, which is good. Maybe should have Direclaw'd this slot. Oh, and now my defenses are lowered. Interesting. Okay.
Here's Arch. Not much damage. Not nothing though.
Oh, if it's Mega T-Ttar, my life gets a lot harder. I just thought it was a bad play. Yeah, it was a bad play.
My bad, my bad, my bad, my bad.
I gave up Sneaselur for no reason. Okay, the good news is that Gyarados is on the field now. Which is non-trivial. Okay, I'm getting Electroshot the Corviknight and Protect. Let's see what they do here. This is Corviknight out okay so this is gonna be Ttar I guess. Rotom okay that's not
good. Oh that's really not good. Protect Vasculesion. Do they even have Tyrannotaur? We break Gyarados, okay cool. Go for Electro Shot. We have no idea what the item is on this Rotom. This could really backfire. I think I last respects the Rotom here and try and get the KO. I think Gyarados has to switch if it has the ability to switch. We have one stack, last respects. Ugh, shoot, okay. Could've killed Daguerre, I guess. It's a lot of damage, but not enough. Citrus? Oh god, this is going so badly. Oh my god, I'm playing so bad. What's Gyarados going for? Okay, Rirtzalum's down, but that's a terrible trade. It was Scarf, I think.
Which is, I guess, good to know. Oh, into my arch. Okay, that's really bad. Support Gyarados. Okay. Yeah, it is Ttar. Okay. So I think this confirms that it's Mega Ttar by the way. Due to the Mega Evolve. No Mega. Okay.
Protect Gyara would be good. Ttar protects. Okay. Protect Gyara. Or no. Protect Gera or no? Electro shot, okay, plus one. I'm still faster than this Gerados, which is nice. I wish I aimed at Ttar, my targeting has been so bad.
T-Wave, okay.
Am I dead to one more? I'm dead to one more, okay. I can't really afford to switch though, because they're going to Mega on this turn. The Gerados is protecting T-Wave. Yeah. They actually switched. Okay. That's terrible.
Oh, if I switched here, maybe it's Mega Gyarados after all. Oh my god, I got it wrong. Okay. Dude, I'm playing so bad. There's Liquidation. Yeah, the issue is my Arkaldon is so strong here. If I KO'd Corvra- yeah, they played really well to be fair. Like, my turn one was just bad. I'm not familiar with how to use Sneasler. I'm gonna lose a lot of points for this. Is it even possible to win anymore? Probably not, right? Like, my Rakaulon is so strong, but I will never be able to attack for the rest of the game, right?
Yeah, I needed to Rain to go villain. Okay, lesson learned. We were testing and we learned. It doesn't really matter. I can't see a way to win this. Yeah, here comes the T-tar again. T-tar. I am plus three.

Get started freeThat's like the only, like, and I am plus three and they can't really damage me very easily. There's an electro shot. turn here. Like I never will be able to do any- oh and they have taunt as well. Okay, yeah, gg. Rock type weather ball. The wind condition here is something ridiculous, like- oh wait, I'll struggle before I ever get through this.
And they're faster than me too, yeah? I mean it makes sense, I have no speed. Okay, yeah, this is a rough one. Um, I think we need a skill villain. I think not bringing avillain here was just griefing. Protect. I think if they protect Eteri, I'll just forfeit, because yeah, okay. They're not gonna give this to me. Yeah, that's okay. I need to learn how to integrate Sneezelearn into this core, because yeah. Skillvillain would have been really, really good here.
And I, like, didn't bring it. Why did I not bring it? What was I afraid of? I needed it for Corviknight if nothing else. I think locking my only way of dealing with Corviknight behind... Huge electric move 50 times, good job Arkella. Okay, I think locking my only electric move behind Rain was just a bad decision in hindsight. Okay, a Sun team.
Sun team with kind of the normal core. Basque Legion I think. 1, 2, three, four here. It's a little bit suspect, but that's okay. This is probably a matchup where Ice Fang over Tailwind would be good. Like, do I even need Tailwind in this matchup, realistically? Charizard, Arrow, okay.
And I have Arrow plus Bask. So, I don't think you ever lead this, unless you have Wideguard. That's my professional opinion. So I'm gonna go for, I'm actually gonna go for Mega Evolve Dual Wingbeat here into this slot, and I'm gonna Liquidation into this slot. I'm gonna say, I'm gonna call the bluff. I'm gonna say there's no way in heck you have,
there's no way in heck you let me Rock Slide here. It's just too dangerous. What I would expect here is like Wide Guard plus Solar Beam into Vast Collision maybe. Are they gonna go for Tailwind here? Hey. Okay, not the end of the world. I get the liquidation off, which is good. They're now in Aqua Jet range, which is great.
Even in the sun? Yeah, definitely in the sun. I think my position is overall favored, right? Because I'm threatening Aqua Jet. I don't think they're gonna let me go for Aqua Jet though, right? I want to protect both, but I'm afraid of King Gambit coming in, right? So do they have Wide Guard here? Is that what I'm dealing with? Protect. Second Protect. It's really good that now their Charizard's Mega Evolved, because I could just bring in my Pellet Brewer here.
They go- okay, they do have Wide Guard. I knew they had Wide Guard. You don't need this unless you have Windguard. I go for Heatwave actually, okay. So they would have broken my Sash and hit my Arrow for good damage. Um, I'm kind of inclined to just go for a Dual Wingbeat into the Charizard here. I want damage down. I think Dual Wingbeat plus Aqua Jet is really reasonable. I'm threatening Liquidation plus, um... Okay, I'm threatening Liquidation plus Switch here, so I think I'd rather just go for damage. Here's King Gambit, so I don't love that Gambit is in, but I do love getting rid of this Aerodactyl, because now they only have one more turn of Tailwind, and I should get a little chip on the Aerodactyl here, or on the King Gambit here as well. Here's Dual Wingbeat. Okay, that's
not very strong. I have Sneaseler and Pelipper in the back, so gonna do about, according to this, it's only gonna do 45%. What on earth? Okay, Sneaseler's in. I could switch to Palloper and Liquidation the Sneaseler and try and get the KO. Or I could protect here and protect here. Stall the Lesser and his Tailwind. I truthfully like the idea of switch out plus attack, but I think I wanna keep pressuring
them. Let's protect from arrow. Let's protect from Basculesian. My Iridectal's not super threatening into a lot of these mons now. Are they going for coaching? No, just close combat. I could've, I could've, um, oh wow, they, they read the switch. And they have Iron Head as well, okay. Um, so, I think I'll dual wingbeat here and switch to Sneaselur, can really backfire. Actually it's okay because um oh wait no it's not okay never mind whoops maybe she fire fang an Aerodactyl. It was so obvious so it makes me wonder why why I did this
play. I'm basically hoping that they go for Kauto Cleave into my Bascia Legion here because the switch to Pelipper is somewhat obvious but I think that was ambitious yep ambitious to say the least. Okay but Aerodactyl because it's so tanky survives and now now I have fake out pressure plus dual wing bead. And if they are forced back into Charizard here, I think it gets really bad for them.
Okay, cool.
Nice. Okay, so arrow was good here, Sneasel was good here. The Vulcan arrow came in clutch. They probably weren't max attack on King Gambit, which is probably why I survived. Is there anything else I need to change here?
Not really. So Sneaseler felt better on the back there, rather than the front, which I think that's a lesson to be learned. Maybe I need to just make more aggressive predictions with the Seamer. Like, maybe, I don't know, I'm falling for a lot of quote-unquote obvious stuff, right? Oh no, I can't beat this. They have Scovillain. I don't honestly think I need my Basculation here, because I can bring Sneaseler into the
play. something. Scovillan plus Sneaselurr plus Archaladon plus Pelipper. The good thing is that if they bring Mega Scovillan, then they at the same time are not able to- yeah, they cannot have both Scovillan and Mega Tyranitar. Oh, this person's really high ranked. 2, 2, 6, 9. Okay, Scovillan and Corviknight are the leads. So I think in this position I'm inclined to go for F Out into the Corviknight. Many Corviknight won't run Protect. Can I go for Fake Out and Overheat here? Okay, so they're maybe faster than me. We don't want to see Protect from Corviknight. That would be very bad.
Extraordinarily bad. Yeah, Corviknight's actually kind of a problem, yeah. Let's see here. Are they going for Rage Powder? Are they going for Protect? Lots of things can go wrong this turn. Okay, no Protect. So here's Fake Out and Korv. I didn't run the calc, but I assume Overheat would get the one shot. They have a Flamethrower. I think that's okay as long as I don't get burnt. Doesn't do that much damage Corph. We have like, we've dealt with one of the threats because yeah the flying typing is pretty scary into my team. Here's Basque Legend. I guess they're gonna lock into Last Respect here. Okay. Oh it's not um it's not um what's it called? Okay, it's not Scarf. That's really good to know.
Lend Thru, okay. Into my Sko villain, alright. I'm at max attack so I don't think Direclaw will kill but I could get the poison into sleep which would also be good. That's not good. I mean it's not good but it's not terrible right because now Basculegion gets burnt. Too much to take from this. Rageprepper comes out, Direclaw comes out. And it doesn't really do anything here.
I'm gonna go for what? Oh wave crash. I don't mind the recoil here, could end up mattering. Ooh, that's not good, is it?

Get started freeDid they crit me or are they just that strong? I think this is probably bad for me, all things considered.
I'm just gonna sac Sneaselur here. I think that my win condition is to maintain weather control. I need to keep weather control. That's like the name of the game here. Okay, no switches. likely unless they protect. No aqua jet. Very bulky. Okay. I get burned. Does Dire Collectivate first? Probably not, right? Last respect into the protect and I guess this is flamethrower then? Okay. So these actually goes down to a second one.
That's not what I was expecting. Um, okay does my Arkelodon kill bulky Scoville? I think this thing is probably more bulky than mine. Flash cannon will not KO, so I need to lock Draco then. Shoot, I think I messed up. Oh, does Draco even KO Basque invasion? I think I made a mistake.
Should, should kill, but maybe not if they're bulky.
How much do they have left? Okay, I got the call correct at least. And now I have weather control. My thought process is basically if I get the KO here with Draco, and the last one is Ttar, they've already megaed so it's not mega Ttar. Okay that's really good. Now the Skovillain is vulnerable, right?
And I can switch back to my own Skovillain and Draco their Skovillain, and if I hit, which is only guess good. I can Draco their Skovillain, but if I miss I'm in trouble. If I miss I'm in trouble. I'll probably lose the game.
So I have a good chance to win this, but not guaranteed. Their Skovillain, so we've seen protect, flamethrower okay that's definitely KOs. That's definitely definitely KOs. Our Kaladin clutches up. Okay and let's see what they go for with their Terenator here. I get burned which is bad. Rock Slide would lock me into minus four Draco here for the rest of the game. We have a Rock Slide, they hit both. So Skiveling goes down but it gives one more parting gift here which is a burn on their Ttar. Their Ttar is likely faster than my Pokemon here. I think I'm supposed to just weather ball here
because if they stall me out of rain, I could lose, right? Like if they flinch me twice and protect on the other turns. So I think I'm just supposed to weather ball every turn and just hope that eventually I don't get flinched. Slash that the Draco Meteor will put me ahead
if they try to stall. I can miss. Okay, maybe they're slow to run at her. Okay. It does a lot. I need one weatherball and I win the game. I can feel it. I'm about to get flinched. Oh, I didn't expect that. This should do enough, right? Surely. Okay. All right. Let's go villain. Let's go villain mirror match. That person was really high ranked. That's a great win. That was pretty spooky. Yeah, Skullvillain is really scary. Also, they must have like min-rolled Mackerel, my Sneasler.
Okay, Mega Floette, Garchomp, Female Vasculesian, Dragonite. So my Sneasel looks incredible here, but what do I do with it? Sneaseler and... Do I want Pelipper here? I think I'll do Arcaladon. I needed to bring Pelipper because I didn't think about not having a switch
into Garchomp Earthquake. It's pretty, pretty, pretty bad. Imagine if it's Scarf Garchomp and it has Earthquake and I just lose the game. Yeah, yeah, this is defensively, this just does not work. I guess I needed to leave Arcaladon behind then. Yeah, it makes me weaker versus Basculesion, but maybe it was alright. Okay, Basculesion and Sneaselur is the lead.
So, oh wait, this is special. This is special guy. Special baby boy. Yeah, my defensive positioning here is just terrible, terrible, terrible. I really wish I had Pelipper. So we want to see Fake Out or not that. That's what we didn't want to see.
Okay, that's pretty bad.
Protect. The Shadow Balling me. Okay, that's pretty bad. Perfect Protect. The Shadow Balling me? Or the Icy Winding?
The Icy Wind, okay.
Not good. Miss, miss, miss, miss, miss.
Okay. Um, it's pretty terrible. I think I've put my- I don't think I have the right Pokemon to deal with this. So I could Rage Powder here. I could Rage Powder and Last Res- Could I Rage Powder and last respect their Basculation and sack off my Scovillain? I think it's worth it. I think I have to sack a Scovillain here. Okay, sorry Sco. Like this
trades Burn for the Mega, which is probably not long as I go down here right? Get the burn on Sneaselur, so we trade Scaevillon for burn on Sneaselur which seems bad. I do have Shadow Ball, okay then I feel good about this. So I go for Last Respects here, I burn both Pokemon so if they have Sash they're gonna get it now. You're gonna get it now!

Get started freeI have no speed control on my Basket Legion. Honestly a good Rage Powder. I got two burns. I clear the Basket Legion, figure out where the Sash is. Basically confirm that it's White Herb on the Sneaseler as well. The Scoville actually did work here. I didn't lose too much ground. Your Sneaseler. I go into Floette. Okay. So I mean, nobody thinks that I'm able to Direclaw this thing, right? They're not gonna let me Direclaw them. I'm gonna go for the read.
I'm gonna go Close Combat here and also Last Respects here. Or I mean, I could make the safe playing over fake. Okay, they might expect fake out here, right? What's the downside to fake out here and Last Respects here? The downside is if they are a Scarf Garchomp in the back. I think there's no Dragonite, right? So it's either Garchomp or King Gambit. Okay, they switch.
I should have close combatted probably. Oh, it is King Gambit. Okay, they need to get rid of my Sneaselor or they're going to lose the game without fail. Supreme Overlord, that can't be good. Okay, they're going for Direclaw here. repair here most likely. They're probably gonna get it too. 20%? Nothing? Okay. Much respects. Not getting the KO here. Is that good or bad? Probably good. I have Aqua Jet available. I am
minus one speed so they could be faster than me. I could also protect both or I could just bash the Legion out but I think post-combat Aqua Jets areett is reasonable. Okay, Aqua Jett comes out, I get Sneaseler. With the chip damage, I actually don't think their King Gambit can take post-combat. See if there's triple. I mean if there's triple, sorry. Well, I guess we'll find out.
I guess I'm not the strongest that I've ever been. 95 down to 8, that's not good. Even though it was extremely effective. Oh man. Can they kill me here though? I have White Herb. That's not gonna KO. He says confidently with no, absolutely no clue. Um, so now is where it gets tricky, right?
Because my Vasculesion could be... Okay, my Vasculesion is how fast? My Vasculesion is at... 86 stat. This King Gambit took like no damage from that attack. So if I'm optimistic here, I think I'm faster. So I go Direclaw into Floette
and I Aqua Jet into the King Gambit. King Gambit starts it at 70 speed. So it would need to put 16 points to speed time. I might just win Basket Legion here. Here's Mega Floette. If I, even if they were to Sucker Punch my Sneasel here,
I'd still win, Basculiegion. Honestly, Basculiegion, kind of the hero of this game. Skullvillain was honestly the hero of this game. This battle started out terribly. Here's Direclaw. Almost gets the one shot. With Arcaladon in the back, we should always win this.
Moonblast comes out. Sneezer goes down. Interesting, I'm surprised they, whatever, who cares. Okay, so even though we didn't bring Palipar, we didn't get punished because they didn't bring Garchomp. Um, but maybe we should have. Like, in the end, Arcaladon was a good last Pokemon to have here. I also think it's worth noting that Sneaselur opened up this matchup in a way that, um, King Gambit would not have. Like now if I were to play this person again, they wouldn't have learned that my Rekhalanum was Scarved because my Basculation will get the KO.
They learned that I flash cannon, but like whatever. Cool. Alrighty, that was a good one. 2-2-30, okay, I'm still over a hu- the ladder is updated by the way, so... Um, like if we look at the ladder, people just keep climbing, so if we look at the current state of things, let's see, I'm pretty sure it's like 2340 or something. 2340, yeah, so I'm over 100 points away from first. 2339 is first right now. Okay, Vanilluxe is pretty spooky, right?
My Basculation looks pretty good here. Am I crazy for saying I think this might be a Trick Room team? Like, they have Chandler, it's probably not a Trick Room team. Their forms of speed control are mainly Whimsicott, right? Mid into Whimsicott, worse into Gambit, better into Gambit.
Oh, I think it's Arch here. Whimsicott, Vanilluxe to the leads. Okay. This is giving me Trick Eject Button vibes. The guy who's only played Sword and Shield. There's no Mega Vanilluxe. I literally just had that thought. I was like, is it Mega Vanilluxe? I shouldn gonna go down to Sash here and then it's gonna be difficult for me, right? Just Blizzard?
I could've just switched to N'Peli, okay that's fine. I take a lot of damage here. I burn the Vanilluxe which is good. Like this is a bad play because I don't actually need to chip on Vanilluxe, so losing my Sash is like really bad for me. Tense drops, that's in. That's good. Oh, it wasn't Sash.
Oh, I had such a better play. Okay, it's fine, it's fine, it's fine. Okay, now what? I'm just gonna protect both here. Waste Return of Tailwind. I can't burn their Chandler, but that's okay.
You know, no mega from their Chandler. They don't protect either, though. What's going on? I'm gonna go for freeze dry. Oh interesting. Okay. You think I die to that?
My gut instinct is that I don't. What I really need to watch out for here is trick room. Because if they get trick room in, oh that's not good. Oops. Okay my bad. My bad.
My bad. Okay. Rage predator comes out. We want to see freeze dry here. We haven't revealed rage predator yet. turns. My Basculegion is looking really strong. My Basculegion plus arch? Okay. Freeze Dry is good. The villain survives. They're not Scarf. Oh, maybe it's Sashko villain. This was a bad last respect. So it does mean I don't take any recoil damage here. I could
have done this a while ago. I'm going to Aquajet Vanilluxe and switch into Peli. Switch Garchomp Calipers in. Drizzles up. Here's Aqua Jet. Thanks to the defense drop, they're definitely in range. But it's basically a 2.25 multiplier because I get rid of the snow and it, um, yeah, does whatever. So Garchomp comes back in here. Here's my thought process. I'm faster than Scarf Chomp. I'll just Liquidation the Chandelier to force it to protect. And I'm going to switch to Scovillain and try and get the burn on Garchomp. That's not what I expected. My god.

Get started freeMega Garchomp. Hello! Help, help, help, help, help, help, help, help, help, help, help, help. That's not good. Hello. That's pretty bad. I did not expect to be fighting Mega Garchomp. Earthquake?
Earthquake, earthquake, earthquake, earthquake, earthquake, earthquake, earthquake.
Rock slide, don't miss, Skullvillain.
Dude.
That's not good. That's a lot of damage. Okay. Well, that can't be good. Ugh, this is bad. Okay, here's Rage Powder.
I wish Skullvillain had gone down there and I got the free switch into arch. Okay, it's fine, it's fine, it's fine, it's fine, it's fine, it's fine. This might be Sash on the Chandeliers, but I'm worried now. It's like, it's exactly what has to go wrong for me to lose. At least I haven't revealed Wideguard yet. Let's see what happens next.
Rockslide?
No!
Oh no, and now... Wait, why are they so fast? Hello? Okay, it's still fine. Stomping. Uh-oh. Vastly Legion is dead. Oh my god, okay, that miss really hurt, but it's probably okay. Let's like, okay, I have two options here. I can Draco Meteor and Weathermold a Chandeler, or I can Snarl and Weathermold a Garchomp. Let's go with the simplest solution. Let's go with the play that can win me the game for sure. Okay, Arcaladon connects, so that should be the game. I don't think Pelipper can beat me. Not with Sash and Rain active. Okay, Arcaladon clutches. Good job, Arcaladon. That was really spooky. I could have locked Flash Cannon was the other option. I could have gone for But I was worried about like, rock slide basically. Maybe that was better, I don't know.
Anyway we win here, which is great. Really scary, really really scary team. I think one of the skills that I need to develop is recognizing when it's fine to let Skiville go down. Like here, I think saving Skiville in as a sack was really good. Okay, we're within 100 points, though we're still not that close.
Oh, this is the team. I lost to this the last time I played it. I do think my turn went a little bit better because last time they just went like protect, protect, and it was kind of difficult for me, right? They're on a five win streak. Oh no. Okay, this is what the last person did too. From their perspective, they probably expect wave crash into Sneasler, right? That's not good. There is no world, unless that's good. Shoot, shoot, shoot, shoot, shoot, shoot. I think I made a mistake. Whoopsie. Is there a safe play I can go for here? I could have just gone for Protect with Liquidation,
which is what I wanted to do. Then again, they might go for something that isn't, isn't Blizzard plus Direclaw. Well, I made the wrong play.
I survive.
I get poisoned, so I'm dead at the end of the turn regardless. Let's see what they go for here.
I burn them.
Okay, in a perfect world I hit overheat. And I'm able to win because I get a KO and a half. I have a feeling I'm going to miss overheat though. A lot of damage. That sucks. I activated the thing.
That changes my next turn a lot. I hit overheat though, that's the big thing. The poison is unfortunate because I had to go villain around for more return It would make my next play a lot easier, but I think it's kind of like not worth complaining about Yeah, losing to go villain here is unfortunate, but I get the burn on Sneaselur. Sneaselur is almost gone So we trade mega for mega and like lead for lead basically. They've already megaed so it's somewhat likely to be Garchomp in the back at some point, right? I'm threatening Aqua Jet. I have rain now, which I do need to be aware of at least. This is probably either King Gambit or Baskillesian, right? One of them is coming in here. It is
Baskillesian. Okay. The thing is their last respects is going to do about a billion damage to me. What if I go into our Kaladon and protect here? Is that crazy? We just want to take respects on Pelipper this turn. Like, the thing is it's really risky for them to do anything other than protect. Oh, there we go. That's not good. Hopefully it's not a hard read. The Aqua Jet, okay, so is this Direclaw or Close Combat? Okay, that's a good play for me. I mean, it's a good turn for me, I should say. I have Aqua Jet pressure now. The problem with going for Aqua Jet here is that it could backfire. Like, let's say they protect here and the last one is Garchomp, I'd have to play a 2v1. Sneaseler Close Combat is going to 2-shot me though. So I think I'm forced to do this and hope the last one is King Gambit and not Garchomp.

Get started freeOkay, I get the Sneaseler, that's really good. I should get both this turn. Although it's not so good, right? Because the last one could also be... Oh, they didn't Aqua Jet. Surely this KOs. This is plus one electro shard, it's like a 100 billion base power move. Uh, yeah, that should definitely KO. KO's max HP.
It could be Sash, I guess. Got it, okay, great. Didn't overthink it. The four of it, great, okay, cool. Cool, cool, cool, cool, cool, cool. They were on a five win streak, and that's, Guard of War. Could be Dragon. I've seen something like this where it was Dragon Dance,
Dragapult, which is pretty spooky. What's my call to be good? I think let's do one, two, three. I think it might be Trick Room. So I'm gonna bring a Pokemon that can protect. I might end up, marked up. Okay, cool. This is Trickerm for sure. Um, okay. That's not good. Tracer might Chlorophyll. The thing is, if they have Torquil in the back, it's somewhat difficult for them to stop Pelipper stuff. You know what I mean? And if they have King Gambit in the back, it's pretty difficult for them to stop Skivilla. And of course, this could also be like Calm Mind and just Trickerm I probably want to do is actually use it, right? The worst case scenario here is that Gardevoir protects. Oh, they actually have Chlorophyll plus, they have Chlorophyll plus, what's it called?
Torchwall, which is funny. I think best case scenario is that this is trick room plus follow me. Worst case scenario is protect Garde. Protect Garde feels pretty risky though, I think. Protect Mousehold is possible if you think you survive a double up. Ugh!
Hang on, there's a goblin. Oh, noey. I don't think I take a psychic. Hey, they're not max speed. Okay, I should take this. I should take this. I take perhaps too much from this.
Great play from them, by the way, because now I don't think I get the KO. Come on, this isn't gonna do enough. Party's so specially bulky. Okay. Not great for me, is it? Not great for me at all. Okay.
That's pretty terrible, I would say, because now I think both my Pokemon are ranging of, whatchamacallit, a really terrible turn. Okay, I think we actually wanna switch to Pelipper here and go for Liquidation into the Gardevoir. We have to hope that they go for Trick Room on this turn I think. Because now King Gambit looks pretty scary. Here's Follow Me so I get some damage on the mice.
Question is are they going for Hyper Voice or are they going for Trick Room? It all depends on what they have in the back right? Okay it is Trick Room. It's not the worst case scenario it's just one of the worst ones. I can fake out the Garde here. I have to stall this out. The thing is, if it's Torkoal King Gambit as the sweepers, oh okay I'm getting both.
Bye bye. Garde goes down, so Mega Evolution is out of the picture now, which is good for me. Good for me. Three turns of Trick Room left. How on earth am I going to win this? My Basculation is really low, right?
So this is probably Torkoal King Gambit. There's Torkoal, so I should get the weather up, which is good for me, I guess. Cringe Gambit is out. Okay. And since I have Rage Petter left and Fake Out, I think this is probably okay. This could definitely backfire. Okay, they let me get the Aqua Jet off. This is going to weaken their Torkoal by a ton, they Swords Dance, because that's really what I'm afraid of, right? Oops, well, they don't have Swords Dance, I think. Take a lot from this. Okay, so I think I have a guaranteed win here, because all I need to do now is get my—they Forfeit, great. Maybe it wasn't guaranteed, but it was probably pretty close. Yeah, 66 points behind first place, which is still a fair bit to climb. Okay, so this is similar to the team I just played, except there is a meaningful difference
which is that this is the Talonflame version, and there's no Mega Floette, which is really interesting. I'm actually not sure what I'm supposed to do here. Although without Mega Floette, I just think Talonflame is not as scary for me. Last one here, I think it's gotta be Arch because of the Frost Blast. So we'll just focus on maintaining wide guard pressure, keeping Scovillain active. The thing about Scovillain that I like is that if you look at this team,
Sneaselur, Garchomp, Vasculation, and King Gambit all really don't want to be burnt. I also think one thing that I'm learning about my team is that And once Scovillan goes, like if you trade, like if Scovillan goes down, like because of the Sneasel, then the Sneasel gets burnt and then it's not, like Sneasel's not very threatening to Bold Pelipper and Vasculation except for Direcloth, then in that case it's actually threatening. The person is also really high ranked. We're gonna eat Windstreak, my god.
So this is kind of the lead I expect, to be honest. We would like to see Frostlust's, oh that's not good. Frostlust Knight. Okay, hopefully they just protect both here. Both of these mons. Frostlust protects, is Sneezer going for protect or is Sneezer Direclawing? Oh, they just, I made the wrong play.
Okay, bad bad bad bad bad bad bad. Dude, I've made the wrong turn one on literally every single one of these turns. And they got the poison. OK, OK, it's fine. I literally can't get anything right. OK, hang on a second, let's just take stock for a minute. OK, they actually just mega evolve here, so I think my position is still pretty bad,
but I at least might get the Frost Blast here. It depends on if they sub or not. There's Rage Powder. So if they go for Shadow Ball, this'll get redirected. Let's see if they Blizzard or Shadow Ball or sub. Blindzer, okay.
They get burned. So I could get Frozen here. I could also get Direclawed. Didn't get frozen it looks like. Let's see if I get Direclawed Balonied. This is not going to do very much damage. 145 down to 117. That's basically nothing, but the problem is the secondary effect, which doesn't activate. Here's Lost Respects. One stack, but Snow is up. Gets the KO. Okay, so we trade Scuttle So at one stack, I don't think even bulky Basculation is going to survive this, but I need to double check. Max HP Basculation, they will go down. So,
my Last Respects looks really, really scary here for them. Should I try and clear the Sneasel before it causes problems? I think probably yes, right? Hurricane and Last Respects here. It could be scarf, I don't think they are. This is the most, the thing is this is the most obvious play that I have. Is this Gambit? It is Gambit, okay. I should have weatherballed, that was my initial instinct. If protect, okay, this is all fine. It's not great, but it's okay.
The confusion here would be massive, like super massive. Go for hurricane. I'm gonna say something controversial, I think this might be the turn to make a prediction. A confusion mage. I think weather ball plus aqua jet is threatening a chaos, so I'm actually gonna weather ball here. And I'm gonna last respects, because I think that our Kaladin might be able to clean this

Get started freeup. This is really risky. Really really risky. They've called like most of my turns correct so far. Show me my basculation moves first. Please?
No sucker punch? Show me my Basculation moves first, please. No Sucker Punch? Into Peli? Oh, oh my God. Okay, last respects. That's mine. Is it Sash? Oh my God, I didn't even think about Sash.
Ugh, that's not good. I take this? Yes or no?
Yes?
Oh no, I think I just blew it. Oh my God, I blew it. Not yet, I think I just blew it. Oh my god, I blew it. Not yet, I didn't. Hang on a second, I have Electro Shots. They switched. Ooh, is that good or bad?
Probably bad, right?
Oh, good!
Is that enough?
Sucker Punch? They didn't, they didn't. Okay, surely this is 50%. It's plus one, and it's not like it's Assault Fest.
Please? Assault Fest, please?
Okay.
How many turns of rain are left? That's the big question now. The burn on the Sneezer is a big deal. How many turns of rain? I think I'm winning this. Oh, they forfeited. Oh, my heart.
Whew, my God. Okay. I was 15th. One more might get me into 2300. God, Delphox. Okay, Delphox plus Floette.
So this is a matchup where my Aerodactyl actually looks pretty good, all things considered, like Aerodactyl plus Sneaselur. What's the problem with this? Aerodactyl, Sneaselur. The thing is that Scovillain also looks really good.
I don't hate Basque Legion plus Scovillain here an Aerodactyl game. I unfortunately think that it has to be Arcaladon last year. Okay, let's see what they have. Arrow Flood, that's not good for me. Honestly, Leech Heat plus Protect is probably okay. It's either that or Aqua Jet, right? And I guess the idea is if they go for Rock Slide, they get burnt, and then I can KO them next turn with like a Aqua Jet or a Liquidation play. the leech seed off. They protect arrow, okay, it's not the worst turn that I've ever seen. I protect vask, I hit leech seed, great. So Garchomp is now seeded. They're probably just going to go for double rock slide, right? Oops, that's the wrong play. Oh, I didn't, I wasn't ready for that. Okay, that's not great for me, is it?
Rock Slider Earthquake.
Ah, it's not good. Okay, Skavlan might be going down here. Maybe we could say goodbye to our little buddy. That did a lot of damage. Okay, this Garchomp is kind of dead, dead in the water, but the bad news is that Aerodactyl is still alive and I didn't seed it, which is just terrible to Aerodactyl. I kind of underestimated Aerodactyl's damage output.
Okay, here's Pelipper. I still have Squidvillain alive, but the problem is I'm about to lose Bascule Legend. The Protected Arrow, which is the most obvious play, but I fell for it anyway. How much do you think Electro Shot at plus two does to Floette? Mega. Okay, how much do you think Electro Shot at plus two does to Floette? Mega? It's Earthquake. It's, um, basically the same base power as Flash Cannon.

Get started freeI need Garchomp to stay in this turn. I think that's the way I win this. Garchomp stays in. I got every turn wrong. I literally got every turn wrong. At Cringe Gambit. Okay. I didn't even burn this thing.
Okay. Here's Wideguard. I Wideguard for nothing. I could have Weatherballed.
So it's burned Garchomp. Plus... Megaflowette is the real threat here, right? Megaflow threat? Is that anything? If I Weatherballed here, I would at least have put this thing in range next turn.
Now though, it's pretty suspect. I've also revealed that I'm scarf. Aerodactyl's down so it's technically 3 vs 3 and like it's kind of 2 vs 2 but the problem is that their 2 are better than my 2. We'll stink it. It might still be- I can see a way to win this it's just looking a little dicey. Okay, turns of rain left. 3. I'm running out of turns quickly. Okay here's weather ball and here's electro shot. Maybe, here's the mega evolution. That's not good. Okay, I'm plus two Arcaladon. I think this is as far as I'm getting Here's Electro shot. Okay, if I crit them, they'll die So I at least have a one in 24. The thing is they need to attack twice to get rid of my Arcaladon Here's Electro shot It's a lot of damage but what are they going for? Moonblast into who? Arch, okay. Kinda looks like we're gonna end up in a...
Wait a second, wait a second, wait a second, wait a second. It almost looks like we're gonna end up in a 1 vs 1. Peli, I take this. Did a lot. I can Weatherball the Garchomp here and Electro Shot. I think I'm losing, but I do have a chance.
This is where missing that weatherball, well not missing, but failing to go for the weatherball earlier really comes back to bite me. Sucker into Peli, with their Scarf Chomp. They're not Scarf Chomp. They're dead to this, aren't they? Oh, but does Rock Slide kill me here?
Oh god. Please, please Pelipper. I think Pelipper will survive. I don't think Kambu survives this. Okay, our Kaladin clutches against the KO. Imagine I wide guarded. Scale shot! Oh, if it only gets two, 42 to 32? They need five. Oh, they only got two! No loaded dice? Many problems. They're plus one speed now, but I Oh my god. Just protect. How many turns do I need? Three? Four I think, right?
Oh, I'm still faster. That's okay. They're probably going for skel-shot anyway, right? And surely they go after pelipper here, right? Or do they spread move me? Went after pelipper, okay. Okay, now what? Hang on, rain stops. I want a wide guard, but I don't think I'm allowed to Okay, these skel-shots only do 10 damage. I always have a chance of them missing Skel-shot, skel-shot, skel-shot, skel-shot, skel-shot, skel-shot, skel-shot, skel-shot If they don't take a KO this this turn I'm guaranteed win. My Caldwell's like a billion boosts but I'm out of time.
They Rock Slide.
Do I survive?
I do. I have a guaranteed win condition. Watch. I have a guaranteed win condition by not doing any damage. I guess Skovillain survives a Rock Slide. That is so unbelievably clutch.
Skovillain might be my goat. Skovillain actually protect Pelipper. This burns their penultimate turn of burn. And then I can go for Rage Powder and Wide Guard. And that ensures that no matter what they do, they only get one KO this turn. I guess Wide Guard does that anyway. The Leech Sheet healing from earlier is actually exactly what keeps Skavillan alive,
which is a little bit crazy to say. Scale Shot. One HP left on Garchomp. We're gonna go for Rage Powder here to protect Pelipper and Wide Guard here. Really down to the wire. Here's Wide Guard, protects both my Pokemon from spread moves. And Rage Powder ensures, I guess Rage Powder is kind of superfluous here to be honest.
It just feels correct because I feel like Pelipper, Pelipper kind of feels like the most valuable Pokemon on this team. We go for Rock Slide, we block it with Wide Guard and I think that's gonna be it. The burn is actually gonna be a finishes Garchomp off. So, Scovillan's ability once again coming in clutch here. It was a really intense game. Arkaldon, kind of the unsung hero here, taking out the King Gambit and dealing with the Floette. Okay, we crossed 2300. That's a big barrier. That's a huge barrier.
Oh, Scovillan is this person, I'm sure of it. This is the Scovillain mirror. Oh my God, I gotta run it back again. No, no, no, no, no, no, absolutely not. I don't hate this lead with Peli plus. I went Rekhaladon last time, I'm almost positive. Okay, I think my game plan is to do Basque here. It's different than what I did last time. That's interesting. I have Sneaseler, Skovilin. They're faster. That's okay.
We need to know if they're protecting here as well. The nice thing is that Pelipper weakening their damage output is kind of a big deal. I guess they're not going for Earthquake here. I guess they're probably protecting realistically. I protect Sneaseler. Show me Scaleshot into Skovilin.
Stomping Tantrum. Okay. Interesting. I'm okay, interesting. I'm gonna go for Flamethrower into me, okay. That's a lot of damage actually. Hit Leech Seed, so I'm gonna get some health back. I could go for the burn here if I wanted. I didn't burn them this turn. If they have Earthquake here, I'm kind of just boomed. Oh, that's not good.
Sel-Selvion?
Okay, hang on. I guess last time Korg and I got kind of boomed. Their Scarf, their Scarf. I burned the Scarf Garchomp. 122 down to 43. That did 80 damage? Okay, Sylveon's going to take some damage here. Direclaw it, which is great.
I got the one shot. I was not expecting that. So now their position is really awkward, I think. They have burned Garchomp, burned Scarfchomp at that. So I can actually just chuck a Close Combat into, right? It's like somewhat safe for me to do. They haven't Mega- oh they have Mega Evolved, so I have Weather Control. Wait, hang on a second, this is in my favor. Depends on what their last Pokemon is though, because if it's Corviknight,
if it's Iron Defense Corviknight? Let's go villain again. I don't hate just giving up on just going villain here and going for close combat into Garchomp and Rage Powder here. They can't KO me without a double up, so I'm going to do it. I'm going to go Rage Powder plus close combat here, because if they try to switch Garchomp out to clear the Leech Seed, which is a reasonable play, and if they have Terranitor on the back, Like I really don't think they want to lose a mawn here. Okay, they don't go for rage powder. Oh, wait a second. I can't actually, this doesn't work.
Whoops. I forgot that I can't rage powder them. But that's kind of okay, right? I survived this. I should get the KO with the leash seed damage. Okay, with the burn damage is a big deal.
Because actually if they KO me this turn with, what's it called? Does he have a flamethrower? Okay, Scovillen goes down. Um... So my Scovillen is down, which is bad. However... We don't know what the last Pokemon is yet. Garchomp is down as well. I maybe could have Direclawed there, but I felt like winning the Weather War was more important. Oh, it's Baskute! They don't have Tyranitar.
Oookay. That makes my life a lot worse. Is it? No, it's not scarf. I hope they go for Rage Powder, basically. Rage Powder, okay. It's better than nothing. But now what? I have Direclaw. They're not Swift Swim. It's like no damage. Can I get burnt here? I am unburdened. Oh, I got the sleep! Okay, hold on a second. That's really crucial, really, really crucial. Great Direclaw roll.
And they go for Last Respects into my Bask. And I die. Oh my god, okay. The Sleep... Oh wait, no, I had a... Actually, because I have Unburden, I think it actually... I don't think it changes anything unless they are specifically Sash on the Basque. Or if Aqua Jet were to KO me from here, which I don't think it does. But because of Unburden, my Sneaseler is actually still faster, which I forgot about. So even without this, I could go for Direclaw here, and Last Respects here. Although honestly, I think
they probably would need both Sash and Aqua Jet to KO here. Here's Direclaw. As you can see, I move first. Even if that were Rage Powder or which means I don't have to worry about the burn anymore. Because of Swift Spawn, I will always be faster. I've preserved my Sash well here, his last respects, and I get the KO. Okay, so I actually think this leap didn't matter, but it did make me... I think it, like, gave me peace of mind, which I'm grateful for. So yeah, Sneasel was really good here. KO'd Garchomp, basically. in their bio. Okay, I'm top 10. Up 10 by, this doesn't even update.
So we're within, wait, we're 26 points away, right? Which is probably three wins, realistically. So I definitely am feeling a bit nervous now that we're getting close, but I'm just gonna do my best. This person again, oh my God.
I've flipped this person like so many times. Oh, it's the Seraledge is like a nightmare matchup for my team. I'm gonna be really weak to the Seraledge here. But they'll probably do both, right? They're pretty high ranked. Floette, Insanity is the lead, okay.
That's pretty bad for me, all things considered. However, one thing worth noting is that I do have access to Sneaselur and actually go for Leech Seed. We need to break through the defensive core, that's the Wind Condition here. Here's Sneaselur. I'm using it a bit early which is perhaps suspect. They're mega evolving right away. Parting Shot would be kind of bad. Here's my Scovillanite. I think the a ton of damage here. That's not good. I do survive, I do get to survive this. That's not good. Okay, I get insin, but at a cost. A big cost,
actually, because I'm going to lose my special attack here, which is very bad. See, they probably go for gleam. White Orb activates, so I'm unburdened. Clearing Instant is good. I could have Direclawed. Here's Gleam. They do get burnt, which is good. The problem is that I've taken a lot of damage already and I'm about to get minus two special attack,
which makes it pretty hard for me to break through the Floettes.
Bit.
Then again, I mean, okay, how much is this gonna do? Like 40? Do I hit overheat? It might be okay if I miss. Okay, I hit, that's fine. I don't have, okay, 50 almost. With the burn, it's 48. I mean, they have Flowette in the back, right? But who's the last Mon? I can't be intimidated anymore.
That's like my main hope right now. Here's Sinistra, so they're gonna heal. Let's see what they go for here. Okay, no switches. See what the Sinistra goes for. Gleam, okay. What's it going for here? Machigotcha's probably best for me. Okay, if I hit this Lichie, my position improves a ton. Like a ton a ton. I hit, okay, big deal from Skovillain. Because now this
Float's taking 18% a turn. I go for Machigotcha. Okay, that's really good because I can't get burned and if they burn themselves That's a little bit more chip damage every turn on the Sinistra. I'm wondering is it like possible if they are Running on what's it called? If they're running like I mean now if they're Sash that's just not on the table anymore. It's a bit risky But in case they're Cobra Berry or Cassi- Cassi- Cassi Berry. I thought it was- Oh, Cobra's dark, duh. That's enough, that's enough, that's enough, that's enough. As long as I get overheat, as long as I get overheat. Also, they're slower than me. They Moonblast into Basque, but I survive this, regardless, because of the Sash.

Get started freeOkay, I need to hit this overheat. Let's go Villain, please, you got me? covered for it and mattered. Okay, so Floette is in danger danger. Why did I say that? Why did I say it like that? Floette's in a lot of trouble here because it's leech seeded and it's burned and I don't think it has any recovery.
So it's taking, again, 18% per turn and I have protects available in this next turn. This also means Mexico Villain is healing quite a bit. Sneasler, I think I'm win this. Okay, hang on a second. We will go Protect, Protect here. I didn't just Protect, I just went for Last Respects and Overheat just to cover it. Okay, cool. Protect here.
No Protect from Floette. Okay. I'm gonna switch to Pelipper here. They could side-close combat. Okay. Direclaw into my Basque.
So I would really like to go for Ragepowder here. possible, though I don't think super likely. Okay, what's the min damage here from Aqua Jet? Let's say they're super bulky, because they're max HP obviously, because they're slower than me. Aqua Jet, outside of rain, will not do 22% min if they're max HP. Min is 21.5, because there's no priority moves that Sneaseler gets that can hit me here.
They have upper hand, but it wouldn't matter because I'm not using a priority move. Let's see if they can protect here. Okay, no protects. Floette goes down, so it's guaranteed to be at least a two versus one in the worst case scenario. It's Floette. Elysia did so much work here. Here's Direclaw into Peli though. No status. That should be it. Okay, and I won. Oh, my heart's going fast. That was really stressful. I'm pretty sure I've lost that person multiple times already even though champions hasn't been out for that long. And there's not that many opponents up here. Oh, the waiting is the worst.
Okay, Mega Floette, Aegislash, Garchomp, Basculation, Talonflame, Rotom Wash. So this is definitely a Sko villain game. I think if I, I would like to do arch plus Sneaseler in the back here, but I think if I do arch plus Sneaseler, then I will lose almost certainly to Garchomp. So it's one of these two. Sneaseler is really, Sneaseler cannot damage Aegislash. I'm going to do arch. This is my core, right? This is. Okay. Um, I don't think that's horrible for me. This is probably not Scarf Basculation, right? Realistically.
Let's go for a nope. Let's go for Leech Seed into Flowette here. They don't have a recovery, right? So Leech Seed plus Protect is somewhat safe. They don't have that many good damaging options into me with this. They could switch here. We know two of the four mons. I actually think Basculesion isn't the worst Pokemon for them to bring into me because I have my own Basculesion plus, plus Marcaladon potentially in the late game. So Floette, this could be frail Floette. What's just Liquidation even do in the rain?
It's 66% if it's max HP. See if they, what they do with Basculesion. between their Vasculesion and their Floette. Okay, no protects. What are they doing here? Wavecrash maybe? Moonblast? Okay, that's good. They're not Scarf. Okay, they're not Scarf. They go for Wavecrash. Okay, so they're giving me most of their Vasculesion here. Oh my god, that is strong. Is that a crit? Geez. Okay. Okay, now what? A hit that's really big.
But I didn't burn them.
Can I lose- can I afford to lose my Basculesian here? Sorry, can I afford to lose my Scovillain here, is the real question. I think let's try switching out, because I don't think their Basculesian's that threatening right now. Although it's still going to do a ton. Like, look at how much Wavecrash did. Okay, they stay in with Floette. There's Peli. There's Rain.
Jet.
Into Basque. Okay. They're going for Moonblast, I guess. That's a pretty bad turn for me if I go down.
Just barely.
Basque Legion, you got me? Nope. Okay. I kill the Floette, but I lose basically two mons in exchange. And that cannot be good, right? We traded kind of one for one but I also lost my mega evolution. Most of it. Garchomp. Okay. Oh god my heart's going like a million miles an hour. Million miles a minute. I hit no, no scar, uh no sash, no, no snow scar no sash no no having to know scarf I got car chomp I got car chomp okay car chomp is down this is burned basket
legion instead of citrus berry what's the item on this thing is doing so much damage last respects I guess here we go belly it's burned it's burned fell over you got me okay pal of her it's the Hurricane. Oh my God, my heart. Citrus? No Citrus, it's dead to two more, or one Draco. Talon. Oh, oh, okay.
Shoot, Weatherball, but it doesn't really matter. Caladon's out. This is their last two Pokemon. My Caladon's looking insane. Here's Brave Bird into my Peli. Please survive. Please survive. Talon for no. No! Oh my god, I'm losing it.
Okay, Talon no longer has priority. I lose Basculation. I could have protected there. Oh, that was bad. It was really bad. Okay. Here's the thing. There's two turns of rain left. My odds of missing a Draco Meteor are lower than my odds of getting it. If they get a double protect and stall the rain, then I will lose. So I'll Draco Talonflame and I'll just say, God, I hope I don't lose this.
Come on, Arcaladon. I was b. Okay. Unless this Basculesion has a very unusual moveset. We've seen Wavecrash, we've seen Aqua Jet, we've seen Last Respects. Last Respects is now at full power, but it is burnt, and more importantly, Arcaladon is full HP, so the Sturdy ability is Parting Gift here knocks out Basculegion. Basculegion, the first Pokemon to do damage and the last Pokemon to faint. Is that it? Hang on.

Get started freeI need to be above 40. Two, three, 40. Hang on, hang on. It says four, but it lags. Please, please, please, please. I've been so good.
I've been so good. Please. Oh, I've worked sos. Please, please, please, please. I've been so good. I've been so good. Please. Oh, I've worked so hard. Please. I'm so scared.
Oh my God.
Oh my God. I am the number one ranked player in Pokemon Champions with Mega Scovillen. My God. Oh my God. I'm so relieved.
I am so relieved. I am so relieved. So over the past like six, seven, no, eight months, over the past like eight months, pretty much since Worlds last year, I haven't really felt that good about my Pokemon. I've had some good performances, but the general trend has been that I felt like
I just didn't have the time to like do what I wanted to do when it came to playing Pokemon. And like for a one off tournament or two tournaments, it wasn't that big a deal. But the fact that it's been going on for so long, just because I've been so busy, I think it's really started to wear on me. And it's almost this the past couple of months have been the first time that I really like started to wonder, perhaps irrationally, perhaps not
whether or not I still had it. mean like here for example you can see this is Giovanni who's the defending world champion and like he's been you know first in the ladder since like pretty much he was I think he was the first player to retrain one of the latter he's been holding steady there ever since and I'm kind of like looking at these people who are so consistent this is probably Fede Campo I think this is the Korean national champion there's so many talented players It's actually one of the first forms of like pseudo viral content that I ever discovered on YouTube, doing challenges with like Red's team or with, you know, Glaceon or Mimikyu or not Mimikyu, sorry, Morpeko,
all these kind of more niche Pokemon, right? And while they've been challenging to different degrees, I don't think I've never been challenged in this specific way. A lot of my rank one challenges have featured me using like Pokemon restrictions and like, you know, oftentimes using Pokemon that are considered to be like pretty weak, to be honest. Like I always felt like when I had trouble
with the challenges is because my Pokemon, like the team was underpowered, right? The actual Pokemon I was using. And so I think to be, you know, here, loading into Pokemon champions, feeling already behind because I was out of town for the start and I've had so much just to be transparent, too many videos to make. I feel like loading in and trying to do this
Rank 1 challenge, taking the Meganium team, thinking, yeah, it'll be kind of hard, but like, no worries. And going like win, lose, win, lose for forever. And then, you know, picking up the, like trying to modify the team and trying again
and not really having any more success. It was really mentally challenging in a way that I wasn't really prepared for. Not that I wasn't prepared for it, but that I just wasn't expecting. Like I thought, yeah, like it'll be a varying degree of difficulty, but I don't think I was ready to feel like inadequate.
And so anyway, all of this to say that I'm really, really, really just happy that I have persevered and went through this really difficult gauntlet, right? And did it with a mega evolution that I don't think is on a lot of people's radars. I don't know. I just I feel really good. I feel I feel like you know what maybe maybe I still got it. Maybe I got a little more juice in this in this old this old body. So anyway thank you for watching. I hope you enjoyed. This is the part two video of
the part one of this rank one challenge. If you want to see the if you haven't already and you which was probably last Saturday from when I'm posting this, but basically it's a video talking about, or showcasing my first attempt, which didn't go super well. But yeah, I think this was a really rewarding experience for me, it was really challenging. And I just feel so, just so glad. I feel really, I feel accomplished in a way
that latter challenges don't normally make me feel. So anyway, sorry for rambling a bit at the end. So anyway, sorry for rambling a bit at the end. I hope you all have enjoyed this saga.
