I compared every smartwatch

If you saw me play in the Sidemen charity football match, you might have noticed I was wearing four smart watches. A Samsung, Apple, Garmin, and a Google Pixel watch. And I've learned a lot about how good they actually are. Because for the first half of the game, they were all telling the same story. You can see my heart rate jump the moment that I step into the stadium in front of 90,000 fans. You can see it jump again about five minutes after that when I accidentally plowed knee- first into my own goalkeeper. So sorry, Sketch. And it peaked at 188 beats per minute.

But then it was time for me to take the penalty that would determine the winner. And what's absolutely crazy here is while all I am doing physically is walking and taking one kick, my heart rate shot all the way up to 187. Almost exactly the same as the peak from all the sprinting earlier.

Then I checked how many calories each watch said I burned. Apple says 644, Samsung says 709. Those seem a bit low. Garmin though says 1377, and the Google Pixel Watch, 2393. And I realized you can't trust your smartwatch as much as you think you can,

as much as you think you can, especially if it's a Google.
