IN FULL: Pauline Hanson speaks after One Nation wins Farrer by-election | ABC NEWS
Well, congratulations, David. You have no idea how proud I feel.
I really do.
Farrah, it's a win for the rest of Australia.I'm seeing a sea of these proud Australians' faces here in front of me, hundreds of you.But millions are watching on their TVs now, and I believe it's giving them hope to know there is hope here to represent you, the people, to get our country back. And that's what we want.for us and I'm very proud to have our federal members of parliament here joining with me.We have been a great team working together and very much so for your benefit and for our future generations.
David has outlined quite a few of the issues he wants to address and I spoke to him today about the first one we're going to start tackling is the agricultural sector in this electorate.too long and they're struggling to actually survive.I want to hold a forum here in Albury -Wodonga called the Farming Sector.I want to hear from you what needs to change, how we're going to move forward and then we're going to go on to another area and in the States and we're going to form an agricultural policy that's going to fit Australia, not overseas interests. And I will be releasing my gas policy after this week coming and with the gas industry. What I want to do is put money back into our pockets from the gas industry.
our resources. This is a system where we will own part of that equity share in the exploration and of gas.So we are not just going to allow them to take it.That money will then be put into a fund where no future governments can just willy -nilly give it away to other countries, waste it, get rid of it, but that will pay down our debt and leave us with the facilities, what we need and the industry.want to be Australians.I want people to come here to this country.
I don't want Sharia law on our doors. To come on board, to be Australians and to join us in this journey of making our country the greatest country in the world again. The volunteers that are here today, without you this would never have happened.I do thank you for winning this seat. It's okay to have the banner of One Nation but it also comes down to the candidate and I think he's done a fantastic job.I've heard your comments about him.
I also would like to congratulate and thank his wife Janice and his daughter for their support because you have to have your partner on your side to do this journey. When I was walking out of here earlier and I looked up and I saw Skye called it that we won the seat, I actually got a tear in my eye.You have no idea that I've been sort of on eggshells.Everyone says, you know, we look like we're going to win it.But until it's called, you really don't understand the journey that I've been on.I'm so fortunate to have so many great colleagues working with me.
Malcolm Roberts has been with me for 10 years.Don't.Sean, he's our senator for New South Wales. He's your senator. So another one who's stuck by me.
S -H -I -T.
Whitten, our senator from WA.Don't forget our latest team recruit. They walk away and they don't stick around. One Nation, well God help, you lost one of your own. That was definitely the promise of conflict. You had the best there beside you.
We're going to go on.We're going to look forward to the future and the people out there who may be watching this, we're coming after those other seats.
We haven't forgotten people anymore.
