Iran Just Got Caught Laying Mines In The Strait Of Hormuz So The U.S. Military UNLEASHED THIS

It's May 26, 2026, and Iran just got caught doing something that should end any fantasy that there's any stability in this regime, or that they can negotiate in good faith and basically have any cohesive leadership in the country. While Iranian diplomats were sitting across from Qatari mediators in Doha, while Secretary Rubio was in India telling reporters a deal could be done in, quote, in this trade of hormuz or even hovercraft under the cover of darkness to lay sea mines just yesterday not metaphorical minds not just around thinking they want to to lay mines, actual contact mines in the world's most important oil checkpoint during a ceasefire. Are we really surprised? And then CENTCOM caught them and CENTCOM does what CENTCOM does best.U .S.

0:55

forces struck missile launch sites and those mine -laying craft near Bandar Abbas. That's Iran's crown jewel right near the Strait of Hormuz and the U .S.military struck it unapologetically with self -defense strikes, basically putting Iran in check.putting these little mafia bosses in check that think they can just operate with impunity in the Strait of Hormuz and cause chaos. So I'm gonna walk you through exactly what Bandar Abbas is, why the IRGC treats it like their personal cheat code in the Strait of Hormuz.

1:27

I'll break down how these strikes almost certainly went down with F -818s, F -35s.

1:33

HIMARS, those high -intensity rockets, and which one likely had those mine boats or hovercraft in its crosshairs.I'll show you what Iran's SAM systems are near Bandar Abbas and how they were threatening the U .S.forces in the region and ultimately how those things were suppressed like it was just another Monday.Oh wait, I think it actually was a Monday. And then Iran is also doing something wild.

1:55

They're turning back on their internet after 87 days of a blackout. We'll talk about what that means.

2:00

us and why this regime seems to be running on its last breath. And then we'll do a global roundup section covering some of the most breaking news from around the globe, including Russia.quietly fired live nuclear ICBMs last week in an unannounced drill.Oh, that, just live ICBMs?Oh yeah, sorry, we meant to tell the world about that, we just forgot. So Iran's basically calling this a ceasefire while they're laying mines in the Strait of Hormuz.

2:27

CENTCOM just called it a targeting brief with exact coordinates. But let's get into what exactly just happened and what hit what Bondar Abbas if you've been watching this channel for a while You've probably heard that name before we've talked about this. This is a strategic naval stronghold Right near the Strait of Hormuz and there's a few videos back where I actually mentioned if strikes go down again This might be one of the targets and I think CINCOM was listening because Bondar Abbas is the capital of Hormuz on province Sitting directly on the narrowest point of the Strait of Hormuz. That's the province in Iraq Iran that holds the responsibility for the Strait of Hormuz. It should be holding their responsibility for 13 .8 miles from their coastline, but they've extorted the world and basically held everybody hostage and said that they've owned the entire 21 -mile -wide checkpoint.

3:17

But Bandar Abbas, that port right there, is how they actually control it.So the headquarters of both the Iranian Navy and the IRGC Navy, those are two separate forces, and the IRGC one answers directly to the Supreme Leader and not to the government itself. So pretty wild and weird there. The IRGC runs its primary fast attack boat operations out of Bandar Abbas and they have had ceremonies there with over 110 fast attack craft lined up on one pier at one time.

3:46

I wonder what they were going to do with their fast attack craft.

3:50

Maybe they were just going to do a laser light show out in the middle of the ocean. They weren't going to harass

3:55

unarmed ships No, definitely not but the pay cap missile boat the Zolfgeier craft and the Oscura rigid -hull Inflatables those are hovercraft and then also newer water jet propelled missile platforms. These are 14 ton boats running 52 knots That's 60 miles per hour on twin twin ships 2400 horsepower diesel engines with a draft of only 0 .7 meters that's shallow enough to go where frigates can't follow.

4:21

And that's the whole goal. They wanna go to where the larger boats can't go so they can hide, do what they do, and then go back and hide again.Fast enough to be on a tanker before a destroyer can necessarily get a solution right away, and then quiet enough to be at slow speed to slip past sensors in the dark.At least that's what they thought, until now.The IRGC also runs Covert Island Outposts through the Strait of La Roque Island, being one of those confirmed sites.

4:47

And this is where they hide a lot of those little speedboats. If we look at some of these little austere ports, this is prime speedboat hiding territory. They've also said to have built -in underground speedboat storage along the Strait of Formez. But Monday night, some of those boats, whether they were the hovercraft, the boats, the watercraft, they were laying mines near Bondar Abbas.strikes in a statement.Spokesperson Tim Hawkins said U .

5:14

S.forces conducted self -defense strikes in southern Iran today to protect our troops from threats posed by Iranian forces.Targets included missile launch sites, Iranian boats attempting to emplace mines as they do.U .S.Central Command continues to defend our forces while using restraint during the ongoing ceasefire.

5:34

So at this point, it's like, oh, cool, Iran. You're going to come to the negotiating table, and meanwhile, you're going to be dumping mines in the Strait of Hormuz like you said you wouldn't?Huh.Well, that's OK.We know how to clean that up.We know how to take care of that.

5:46

The explosions were reported in Bandar Abbas, also near Syrix and Jaffa.

5:50

along the coast, suggesting multiple simultaneous strike packages, not a single isolated hit.

5:56

This was a coordinated seed plus a maritime strike, executed against Iran, who said they're coming to the table for a ceasefire, but at the same time, they're laying mines.I mean, come on, really, Iran?I mean, we knew you spoke out of both sides of your mouth, but this is next level.I mean, we're almost kind of impressed. It's like Ron Burgundy, an entire wheel of cheese, mining the straits while you're completely saying you're negotiating. We're just not even mad at this point.

So preparation in a fighter jet is everything.Knowing what's going on from all different angles determines whether your mission succeeds or not. That's why I want to tell you about Ground News.So check out this article right here.90 miles from Florida.Same story, two different realities.

6:56

And most people only see one of those realities. But Ground News fixes that.It pulls thousands of stories every day, shows you the political bias, the reliability and ownership of every source, and it puts every angle in one place. And then their blind spot feature that we're looking at right here shows you stories being covered almost entirely by one side of the political spectrum. So you can actually see what your feed has been hiding from you.So head over to ground .

7:23

com.The link is in the description and you'll get 40 % off the unlimited vantage plan.It comes out to about a cup of coffee per month to see the entire battlefield.

7:32

Now that's a deal. But Iran's comments, obviously they said that this is a clear violation of the ceasefire. They're like us laying mines and preparing surface to air missiles to shoot down whatever we want and that they shot down a drone too.days ago, that's not a violation of the ceasefire. But the US doing it, that's a violation of the ceasefire.Huh, yeah, we're gonna stick to our guns on this one.

7:53

And they said that they will leave no act of aggression unanswered and that the IRGC will respond. This is from the regime.that was placing mines during the negotiations. So Iran said they were laying mines as a warning.CENTCOM said that we're going to send your boats to the bottom of the ocean as a little warning as well. And then Iran's at the bottom of the ocean and they're like, we haven't even begun.

8:15

We're about to get started. The IRGC is gonna respond very resolutely.Again, this is coming from a country that's never won a war, but never lost a negotiation. They are the ultimate grifters of the globe, and we're seeing that play out right now.But now let's talk about exactly who runs these boats.Because you know, my boy, Sun Tzu says, know your enemy, know yourself, and you will never be imperiled in a hundred battles.

8:42

Imperiled, wow, that's a great use of vocabulary, Sun Tzu.But the IRGC Navy, That is not the conventional naval force, and it doesn't even pretend to be.It's a purpose -built, sea -denial, guerrilla warfare machine that's optimized for one mission, close the Strait of Hormuz to everyone except the people Iran decides that can use it.They're basically the muscle behind the mafia bosses, from the underbosses that are controlling the Strait of Hormuz, basically more powerful than anyone in Tehran at this point, and that's how the mafia works, the underbosses, who are kind of under the radar are actually more powerful than some of the front -facing folks in the mafia. And that's exactly the model that Iran has done.I could see the Ayatollah even has a shrine.

9:26

It's like Al Capone. He's like, oh, Al, I will do you proud today.I will make sure that we harass, mine, and saturate the Strait of Hormuz during the negotiations.

9:35

And Al Capone's down in hell, and he's like, yes, good job, Ayatollah.Oh, by the way,I've got a little spot saved for you right here. But their whole goal is to overwhelm larger adversaries through sheer volume of simultaneous threats from multiple vectors. The pay cap boat, that's the most likely one that was running these mines Monday night, tops out at about 50 knots, carries two Nasir Qausar anti -ship missiles, active terminal homing on those things, 20 nautical miles, plus two torpedo tubes. So these things can't be discounted.

10:06

They are an actual real threat.Three -man crew, radar cross -section, basically the size of a jet ski, and a swarm of 30, that's a real problem, even for an Arleigh Burke -class destroyer running an Aegis system. And then what was struck along the coastlines in Iran, the Bavar 373 SAM system operating in the Bandar Abbas coastal belt, that's Iran's indigenous long -range missile that claims to have a 100 to 150 Iran wants to make a bubble over the coastline right now to protect all their different ships in the area because remember the blockade is in place but as a part of the blockade you can't just have ships you have to have air power as well that's why we saw the F -18s strafing the rudder on some of those cargo ships bombing the smokestack you have to have air power to enforce these naval blockades to their utmost ability as well but what's the structural vulnerabilities here first they operate out of fixed bases mostly like Bandar Abbas, Iraq, Abu Musa those islands but they also have in -ground storage so what would like likely go up against these things? What's the likely weapons that are used to do this?down? But before we get to that, I want to tell you a little bit about one structural vulnerability that nobody's really talking about.

11:41

London and Brent crude.People have asked me before, why has London seemed to be compromised and why is England not coming around to help the US in this conflict?Well, they're the global oil benchmark. That's where it's priced, traded and settled to an intercontinental exchange in London.Every barrel of uncertainty in the trade of Formos is a fee that flows through that exchange. So as the oil prices go up, London actually gets more money.

12:07

So if the flow is stopped or the flow is sporadic through the Strait of Hormuz, they're actually making more money in London. So when the conflict escalates, Brent crude spikes and London financial infrastructure collects more and more of that sweet gruening cash. When a deal surfaces, the premium compresses and that whipsaw up on strikes down on diplomacy generates enormous trading revenue for the players running the market in the UK.The UK government itself collects a regulatory royalty off of that infrastructure. So the next time you wonder why London's diplomatic energy on Iran feels slightly less urgent than you'd expect, just think about those Brent crude futures. But back to the IRGC Navy commander who's overseeing Bandar Abbas operations.

12:49

It's Admiral Ali Reza Tengziri, a man who once told international media that Iran could close the Strait of Hormuz in less than an hour. He's been very quiet since SENTCOM started posting videos of his entire fleet on fire.So Tengziri said he'd close the Strait in an hour.SENTCOM said, we'll take care of your boats in about five minutes. But now it's built on the kill chain exactly how the U .S.

13:11

answered those boats or those hovercrafts and the SAMs yesterday. So CENTCOM didn't specifically say which weapons or platforms were used in that Monday night strike and that's deliberate. But the target set tells you the geometry and the geometry tells you the likely chain. So the primary candidate for taking out the minelayerboats, MQ -9 Reapers, or also F818Es or Fs.Those are Super Hornets operating off of a carrier in the Gulf of Oman.

13:38

The Super Hornet could have been carrying AGM -154 joint standoff weapons. Those are GPS INS guided glide munitions with a 70 nautical mile standoff range. That means the jet can stay well outside of any lethal manpad zone because likely these boats are going to have those manpads.of those shoulder -fired missiles on them as well.CENTCOM has released prior footage of this profile, this style of attack, munitions falling vertically onto stationary small boats that are already on a dock.So that footage was likely JSALs, Joint Standoff Weapons.

14:10

They can employ those from altitude, clean, quiet, and potentially no -manned aircraft within 70 nautical miles of the target. The candidate of the MQ -9 Reaper also has highly likely AGM -114 Hellfires taking out those Iranian fast boats.Definitely a potential there.A Hellfire from an MQ -9 at medium altitude is precise, it's got low collateral, and it can do moving targets, tracking it throughout the night, which is when these Iranian fast attack boats decide to be a little spicy. They went for a midnight cruise, and they came back with a little bit of a bruise.See what I did there?

14:44

And then along the coastline, as Iran rebuilds their suppression of enemy air defense systems, this is something I've talked about on the channel a lot.

14:51

The U .S.military just focused on the Strait of Hormuz, just pummeled the Strait of Hormuz, while uprisings start to form within the country, with the country, the regime, trying turning their internet back on.Oh, weird.Huh, you guys start to feel like you're losing your grip and so the internet gets turned back on.Yeah, we didn't see that coming at all.

But what Iran's doing along the Strait of Hormuz is trying to protect these fast attack craft.

15:13

Bavar 373, that's their long -range battery and that's what they're using.Almost likely taken out by E -818G Growlers, which were jamming them and then F -35Cs,their AN -APG -81 ASA radar to basically flood the Mavara 373's radar frequency bands and make it go stupid prior to it actually being decimated. This forces a choice. As soon as these systems turn on with an EA -18G Growler and an F -35 Airborne, they're going to go bye -bye.So when that Mirage 4 illuminates and tries to get a track, it broadcasts its location to every AGM -18G 88 harm package, which is the missile likely hitting these things.

15:53

The harm locks the radar emission and flies directly through the beam.At Mach 2, that's gonna be a bad day for any radar that turns on in the area. And then obviously using JDAMs like GBU -31s, that's a 2 ,000 pound JDAM or GBU -39s, 250 pound small diameter bombs if you need to minimize collateral damage.F -35, almost entirely certain that it was leading that package. That's just my opinion, though. And then also, Highmars rockets could have been fired positioned on allied territory in the UAE or aboard a naval vessel These would be silent options for land -based mobile launchers.

16:27

No aircraft. No sonic boom Just a massive missile coming in at roughly Mach 3 so Iran built what they thought was an anti -access bubble But it looks like CENTCOM just took a little pin and boom popped it in about two seconds.

16:39

You made it to the Global Roundup section.

16:41

So today I'm actually just gonna cover this story about Russia.Russia fires live nuclear missiles, and it wasn't scheduled. They're supposed to schedule these things and talk to the international community. But on May 19th, without any prior public announcement, Russia launched its largest nuclear force exercise in years, running through May 21st.65 ,000 troops, 200 missile launchers, 140 aircraft, eight strategic nuclear submarines, they fired a live ICBM from Plesetsk to Kamchatka, Turok's cruise missile from a surface ship, and a Seneva SLBM, sea -launched ballistic missile from a submarine in the Barents Sea.I know you acronym lovers needed that.

17:20

Don't worry.I got you.Belarus participated as a full partner for the first time with Belarus forces practicing receipt and mating. They call it mating, do they?Oh, interesting. They're just doing some mating with nuclear weapons while Moscow said this was a clear signal to NATO.

17:37

Of course, they're going to say that. And that brings us to the 40 chest strategic analysis section. So remember right now, IRGC Commander Vahidi, faction is probably in control in Iran, most likely. And they're using Goluboff and some of these other speakers as their mouthpiece. And what they're likely seeing right now is nobody actually has a hold on the actual country of Iran with 90 million people, because at this point, $500 million a day is being strangled out of the pockets of the IRGC, and their inflation is going insane.Their population just spent 87 days without internet, but now it's being turned back on.

18:15

But remember, Everything the regime does is for regime protection.

18:19

They're not just like, oh, everybody should be playing Fortnite. We want to help out our population and keep them entertained. No, they're like, how do we get more propaganda into the heads and minds of our people to keep an uprising from happening? So we're seeing that diplomacy is playing out.The U .S.

18:35

is not playing around sending that kinetic message of, hey guys, yeah, we're just gonna trust but verify.

18:41

We trust that you're not gonna mind the straight up four moves, but ultimately we're gonna make sure that you don't.And so are these true cracks forming within the upper echelons in Iran?It certainly looks like it to me.And I think this is being set up for something that's bigger than anybody really sees coming. What do you think happens next?Let me know in the comments below.

18:58

Would love to hear your thoughts.Do you think we see more conflict?Do you think we see more kinetic action?Do you think we actually see an uprising?Let me know in the comments below.Follow me on X, follow me on Instagram.

19:08

I'm posting there pretty much every day.Watch this next video that pops up right here.

19:11

This is Ryan, also known as Max Afterburner, signing off.I kind of look at it like Iran's creatinga terms and conditions page. They're like, hey, thank you for agreeing to the Islamic Republic of Iran ceasefire agreement version 47 .2.By accepting these terms, all parties acknowledge the following. They're like, scroll down 847 pages and tap, I agree.

20:06

And if you don't, if nobody does, then we're just gonna keep spouting rhetoric and grifting along the world while laying mines and saying that we actually want to negotiate.Yay!This is how Iran operates.
