Iran’s Tankers CROSS Trump’s Blockade… INSTANTLY REGRET IT
Carrier aircraft have taken out one of Iran's tankers.the tanker's rudder. So, the ship has been stopped.U .S.military says the incident shows the U .
S.blockade on Iranian ships remains in full effect, even as U .S.and Iranian officials continue to work to strike a deal. The president tells Albright mayor he is cautiously optimistic.
Some of the key questions, though, include how to get the highly enriched uranium out of Iran and making sure the Strait of Hormuz is completely open.
And here's why Iran's getting desperate.
The United Arab Emirates snuck four tankers through the strait, which is supposedly under Iran's control. And according to the New York Times, Iran's oil sector is under pressure.Tehran says its oil may soon have nowhere to go.They're admitting that their entire economy is about to blow up.But do we have a deal?
We're doing well. Now we have to get what we have to get.If we don't do that, we'll have to go a big step further. But with that being said, They want to make a deal.
We've had very good talks over the last 24 hours, and it's very possible that we'll make a deal. The president says if they don't agree, the bombing starts at a much higher level and intensity than it was before. Now, I know we've heard that before. But sources say an agreement has never been closer and morale at the White House is through the roof.
Good.I can tell you that I was walking around in and out of the building yesterday, seeing a lot of action in the situation room with negotiators. And it looked like the mood was OK.
POTUS told PBS that the Iran war has a very good chance of good and told Fox that this could be wrapped up in.a week.
Oh, well, I had a phone call with the president a short time ago and he is optimistic about this deal, this memorandum of understanding, thinks it is going to lead to things. He's cautiously optimistic, I should say.But thinks, and I asked him what the time frame would be.He puts it at a week, getting everything wrapped up.
So Iran's tankers can't get into their own blockade, but everybody else's are getting out.The leverage that they thought they have is gone. And now that it's gone, what are they fighting for?
This is what we're hearing.Iran must swear off ever having or seeking a nuclear weapon.Okay.Turkey.Their three main nuke sites. But how do we trust them?
Must be completely dismantled. And they can never do any work like this ever again underground. If they start digging, we start bombing.Inspections on demand.Anytime, anywhere. If they throw up roadblocks, harsh penalties.
Now here's the key piece to the deal.No more enrichment.Okay.And they hand over all of their enriched uranium. We get it.Right.
Trump was asked, well, is this a 20 year moratorium?Trump said, no, never. No more enrichment ever.
Ever.
Iran must reopen the strait. And while they do, we'll relax the blockade.Oh, interesting. We might unfreeze some of their money, but no sanctions relief until they show they're complying with the deal.
So the way that we're able to force Iranguys who don't want to agree to anything to do what they say is since they want the blockade to disappear they've got to let traffic flow through the straight unimpeded if they do what they're supposed to do the US will allow them to also exit their little corner of the world.

Get started freeThis is very simple Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon because the as tough as they are we want to keep them alive we want to keep all of you alive iran cannot have a nuclear weapon and they won't and they've agreed to that among other things they've agreed this looks nothing like the obama deal getting the uranium out banning enrichment destroying their nuke sites none of that was in the obama deal and this is on top of shredding their military and good luck rebuilding it because We wiped out all their defense factories and steel plants.Yeah.But the media doesn't believe any of it.And they can't buy new stuff from China.
You're facing an opponent right now in Iran that has refused to submit. You seem optimistic now that you may be closer to a deal. What's different about this moment now than in other moments where a deal has seemed close?
Well, why do you say they refused to submit? You don't know that. You don't know what's going on behind you. They were firing on U .S.ships a few days ago.
Yeah, I know.A few days ago is a long time ago. What's not to say?Yeah, that's right. So they had a Navy with 159 ships, and now every ship is blown to pieces. And their leaders are all dead.
So I think we won.
The fact that rogue elements of Iran's military were driving around in speedboats, firing, gave the media every single thing they needed to contest the idea that the US had any leverage. It was all propaganda, them boarding ships, them floating around out there, them firing on stuff.None of it mattered. They can't get out of their own little blockade. It's crushing them.
No one really knows what the deal is, and no one knows if Iran's even going to sign it.Neither country trusts each other. That's right. They've taken Americans hostage. But the president's being realistic. He says it's
Right.Right.
Right.Right.
Yeah.All new highs.That's crazy.And Brent crude down over $10 a barrel.
Oh, and Trump's killing the economy. He's trying to take out America with this war of vengeance. That's what they're saying. Now, here's the S &P 500 going all the way back to 2001.Where are the wars? Can anyone tell me where the wars are?
We know where 2020 is, that's right here.We know there was that big slump in Biden's second year, we can see that. But where's the conflict?Where are the temporary conflicts that President Obama got us involved in?Where's all that stuff? This is gonna end before people get done complaining about it, that's for sure.
I thought we'd be down maybe 20 % and we're up.The stock market's higher now.than when we started this war.And I thought oil prices would go to $200, $250.It's at $100 now.And I think you're surprised, and I'm surprised.
But even if it went to $200, it would have been worth it.
Yeah, and it wouldn't be forever.Billionaire money managers say they can see victory, and it was worth it.
It shouldn't be a bipartisan issue, right? You have a nearly nuclear -launch -capable Iran that we've set back in a very dramatic way. They've been a major driver of terrorism around the world. They're a fierce enemy of the United States. They threaten kind of global shipping, energy, etc.And now the president and our military are getting that completely under control.
I think we're almost done. It's weeks as opposed to many months.
And that's what they're telling all their clients the smart money isgetting back in because it knows that this thing isn't where the people who wanted to see Obama's deal come to fruition are saying it is.

Get started freeDavid Ignatius, looking into the president's thinking, he is kind of a two week kind of guy, meaning he likes things one and done in two weeks.I think we could find a number of situations where he's always kind of given things that kind of time.Oh my goodness. From what we have seen so far, how prepared is this administration to deal with all the consequences of bombing Iran?
I mean, the stock market's up.There's going to be freedom over there.
President Trump is looking hard for the exit ramp from the Iran conflict. That's clear.
Yeah, is it?To who?To the people that are putting all their money in the market? To the troops that never actually had to put boots on the ground over there? To any of the advisors and generals that are celebrating that this thing is almost wrapped up?To oil that's going this way?
You can't make this stuff up.Look, Trump is trapped. He's stuck. Can't get out.
It's weeks as opposed to many months.Weeks? It's a few months as opposed to, it's not years. This is toward the tail end of a war.
You know when you know when the fighting's over? The French show up.The Charles de Gaulle aircraft carriers just crossed the Suez Canal going into the Red Sea.
Great timing, guys.
Meanwhile, great news for American sailors. The USS Gerald Ford is headed home after the carrier broke the record for the longest deployment since NAMM.Wow.The blockade, though, stays.Yeah, it has to.
Everybody said, oh, there's going to be boots on the ground.
Oh, Trump's trying to evade. He's putting American lives at risk.He wants to send us into a forever war.Zero troops touched the ground. They still might. They still might have to for some reason, but that has not happened yet.
And the whole idea of there being a deployment, these amphibious assault ships going over there, that was all a smokescreen to keep these guys guessing.
In particular, the Iranians, they're not getting anything through one way or the other. So they're out of business.Yeah, out of business.
Today, the Iranians tried to test the blockade. And it didn't end well.
Central Command says an Iranian flagged vessel attempted to breach the U .S.naval blockade earlier today.Yeah, that was stupid.CENTCOM says the vessel was warned multiple times before U .S.
forces fired on it.The shots came from the 20 millimeter Gatling gun of an F -A -18 Super Hornet that took off from the USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier.
They used marksmanship. The quarantine's already turned around 52 ships.Dare tight.and Project Freedom was showing progress before Trump paused it.In just the first 24 hours, 11 ships sailed safely out of the strait.
prove to Iran that they've got absolutely nothing. There is nothing that they can slap down on the table and say that if you don't do what we want, we're going to keep doing this thing. The thing that they thought they could threaten America with in the world does not exist. And this entire negotiation strategy by the Trump administration, now we're starting to see what it is.It was just the removing of leverage this entire time.Get rid of the military, the Air Force, the Navy, their ability to fire drones and ballistic missiles.

Get started freetotally incapacitate them, cut off their economy, trap them completely, and while they're trapped, let everybody else go back to business as usual. That just proved they got nothing.
Here's that Trump paused it as a good faith gift to the Iranians so they can save face to get a deal done.Right.Watching the US Navy let every single ship in the world out of the Persian Gulf except yours would have been too much to stomach.Proves they're done.Right.These Iranian pea shooters didn't do a thing.
The Truxton has - Look at these things.
We were told that these little boats that you could take out in a canal somewhere and go bass fishing, that these things were going to shut down the world economy.People really believe that.
The Truxton has artillery guns on deck.Look at this.Mounted machine guns, surface - It's like a pickup truck with a machine gun.Same thing.Plus 400 sailors on board with Apaches and Seahawks circling overhead.Anything the enemy sends out, if it flies, it dies.
If it swims, it sinks.
Right, that's their navy now.
Even though we can get ships out, Lloyd's doesn't want to underwrite a voyage under enemy fire. They have to have confidence it'll be smooth sailing.
Iranians are reclaiming public spaces, notably women.who are increasingly daring to go out with their heads uncovered, dressed in Western -style clothing.Choices that were unimaginable not long ago, and that this Tehran resident proudly supports.
We have paid a hefty price to be able to put the veil aside and achieve what we want. This is a major victory we've managed to secure, and we will defend this victory tooth and nail.We won't give up.
Yet wearing the hijab still remains mandatory for women under the Islamic Republic.which cracked down on demonstrations following the
and against their leaders. They might not be out there in the street, you know, torching cars like it's Portland, Oregon, but...When you look at these images, this is resistance.
This gradual shift away from the headscarf has not, as of yet, sparked a reaction from the authorities.
That's crazy.
They have even relaxed some restrictions. For example, since February, women are allowed to drive motorcycles.
Why are we not allowed to drive?Like, this is so backwards. This is so crazy. When you just look at what's going on in this country, everything the Secretary of State just said about Iran makes perfect sense.
I don't know of any country in the world where there's a bigger difference between the people and the people who run the country. This country is run by radical Shia clerics. And that's not what Iran and the Iranian people are. Now, they may be Shia, but they're not radicals and they're not clerics and they just want a normal life and a regular life and in many ways a very cosmopolitan country with an incredible history.Incredible history and incredible legacy and the like.So there's this huge divide between the people of Iran, whom we sympathize with, and who the president sympathizes with because they're the ones suffering.
Who doesn't have sympathy for these poor folks? They just want to go out and walk down the street and live a normal life and drive a vehicle in 2026.

Get started freeYet Trump's the one who's unreasonable.
Yet doing anything that might help these folks is unreasonable.
Drive motorcycles, something that was previously forbidden. Why would that be forbidden?Another new development, politics is being openly discussed in the media and at some culture centers.Like here, since mid -April.Debate evenings have been held each night to discuss the country's current situation with the war in the Middle East.
Because if there's debate, that means people disagree with the regime.
We invite various artists and intellectuals to speak and engage in dialogue. We can listen to different perspectives.
The fact that people are even talking about, hey, we might not be on the right track is a sign of resistance. You've got to remember, the protests that we saw in Iranthose were met with a heavy crackdown and like the woman said people here have been fighting very hard just to get back some of their basic freedoms. And I think that it is very obvious that the people that we're seeing here do not want the regime to continue.
We've invited members from the axis of resistance, supporters or opponents of the regime.I thought there was no resistance. They sat face to face and talked to one another. That's what CNN's telling us.Everyone's on board.
Nope.
Such dialogue already existed online.but debating openly in public is a new sign. These gatherings are a welcome change for Asfanef. This helps give us a better understanding of everything we have lived through.
And it lets people know that, hey, you're not alone. If you think that it would be better if people could drive a motorcycle and if people could walk down the street, in a manner that they so choose and have an element of personal freedom that they take with them wherever they go.You know, this is stuff that we take for granted in America every single day.And this could be the future for Iran very soon. And if any of us needed any further evidence that this thing is about to wrap up, here it comes.
France's aircraft carrier, the Charles de Gaulle, is on the move.It has left the Mediterranean and transited through the Suez Canal in Egypt.Look at this thing. The repositioning of Europe's most powerful warship is part of a plan set up by France, the UK, and some 50 nations to restore long -term maritime security along the Strait of Hormuz in the future.Emmanuel Macron said he'd spoken to Iran's president on Wednesday about the deployment, and he explained on social media that France's moving the aircraft carrier from Sweden to the Mediterranean to the Southern Red Sea is a defensive move and not entering into the war.
The multinational mission that France and the United Kingdom have set up can help restoreconfidence among ship owners and insurers.
This was mentioned earlier, the insurance of the ships traveling through the strait. That's a big deal.Insurance companies aren't going to underwrite a vessel which is worth too much to lose sailing through the Strait of Hormuz if there's no guarantee that that vessel will be protected. And Trump has said this multiple times. He said, we're getting to a point where we're going to be able to hand this thing off to the people who really rely on it.And that would be Europe that imports all of its energy And here comes the handoff.
We're looking at the handoff.
Of course, they're not going to give Trump credit for it, but we know what's going on.It will, by its very nature, be distinct from the warring parties.Right.The pre -positioning of the aircraft carrier, Charles de Gaulle, fits within this context.Of a handoff.
Mid -April, the British Prime Minister laid out the broad lines of the post -war mission.
Three enemies that are united by their hatred of Trump.
With France, the UK will lead.a multinational mission to protect freedom of navigation as soon as conditions allow. This will be strictly peaceful and defensive as a mission.to reassure commercial shipping and support mine clearance. It's all about the insurance.

Get started freeWith regional nations and global economies increasingly feeling the effects of the Iranian blockade, France's foreign minister said the strait must be reopened as soon as possible.Good.
It's great we're having that conversation now.In the short term, it is essential that the Strait of Hormuz be reopened. The Strait is a common heritage of humanity. It cannot be blocked, subjected to tolls, or used as leverage.
Right, that's huge. This should never have been allowed to happen, and it's appalling.that our allies, who rely on this way more than us because they're the ones importing energy, not us, had nothing to do with this conflict and just wanted to sit back.
The Straits of Hormuz do not belong to Iran. They don't have a right to shut it down and blow up ships and lay mines. And that's what they've done. That needs to be addressed.Otherwise, and it cannot be normalized under no circumstances can we live in a world where we accept, okay, this isOh, yeah.
Yeah.It looks like they're gonna take that chance, but you gotta understand something here.
geographic location and the fact that it has ballistic missiles is able to threaten everybody who has to drive through its specific valuable geographic location. They're now getting a cut of the world economy. And like the Secretary of State just said, if you let it happen here, it's gonna happen at every other global choke point. We're gonna have world conflict and upheaval all over the place. The best thing for peace is for this handoff to happen ASAP.I don't think there's a whole lot of time left in this thing.
I think that the opponents of its future success are gonna going to be complaining about that success for a long time. And they're going to tell us three things. They're going to tell us that Trump didn't accomplish his objectives. That's what they're going to say, even though the only way this ends is if Trump accomplishes his objectives. The second thing they're going to say is that life is now worse in Iran for people. They're going to try to make that claim, even though we're seeing that inside Iran right now, people have more freedom than they did before this thing started.
And the third thing they're going to say is that Trump destroyed the US economy and that we're still not recovering from that. And we've still got a long way to go.They're going to say those three things.Am I missing something?Let me know.Is there a fourth thing?
