The Arsenal players in full training right now over in Spain, training in Girona ahead of their game on Saturday when they take on Girona in their sort of first televised pre -season.Friendly, it's going to be interesting to see how they get on, how they set up, etc, etc.Be looking forward to seeing our new signing, Christian Zollis.Christos Solis, should I say, in action.So looking forward to that.And listen, every Arsenal fan is waiting in bated breath to see who else we can get in.

In an ideal situation, Arsenal would have liked to have gotten some of their key signings ahead of pre -season.Can that still be achieved?Big news that was dropped yesterday was all about Vinicius Junior.It was Sky News who reported this one yesterday.And basically what they said is Vinicius Junior is staying Real Madrid.This is what they said.

Vinicius Junior staying at Real Madrid.Real Madrid have no intention of selling him and are confident that he will sign a new contract.That was according to Sky's Dharma Chef yesterday.He reported that.That was reported widely.Place went crazy.

You know what I have to say, right, what was really intriguing and really funny about it, the way opposition fans were celebrating this.It's incredible, like, you know, celebrating it as if they just made a big signing or, you know, you just go to see the fear that is in a lot of people.these supporters.I mean, Expressions, you know, big Tottenham fan, he was celebrating like they just won the league or something.But is this deal dead?That is the question right now, because it was very noticeable that, you know, and that's as of me doing this show right now, it was very noticeable that none of the other big journos went with this story.

Nobody really touched it apart from just reporting what Sky said.David Ornstein, who originally put it out there that Arsenal were interested in signing Vinicius Junior, which has caused all this hysteria.Nothing from him, nothing from Fabrizio Romano, nothing from any of the sort of journalists that really specialize in, you know, these type of transfer stories.And you would have thought they'd be all over it because it's the biggest transfer story right now.So that was really interesting.Also, what was interesting is nothing from Vinicius Jr. yet, nothing from his camp to say he's definitely staying.

I know he's been away in Jamaica on his holidays, but nothing from him, nothing from his camp.And then also reading into it, interestingly, they're confident he's going to sign a new contract.Now, listen, I'm not going to say deny this.

Vinicius Jr., in an ideal world, would like to sign a new, improved contract.I spoke about it a lot yesterday on the show.He'd like to sign a new, improved contract with Real Madrid, taking into account a new deal around his image rights, etc, etc.But he hasn't signed it yet.

And even if they do keep him, if he doesn't sign that new contract, what's the point?

I mean, I've seen in the past where, you know, basically Vinicius Junior on his side has said he doesn't want to walk away from Real Madrid for free.He appreciates the fact that they signed him.They gave him this platform.They took a chance with him.And he wouldn't want to walk away, and they get no money for him.So he'd rather go somewhere that they get money or sign a new deal, and he stays.

And I don't need to talk about the problems that have been surrounding the contract, because I spoke about it a lot yesterday.

If Real Madrid don't sign a new contract, Regardless of whether Arsenal, their situation, and we've even heard yesterday that PSG might be interested, that's another thing, in trying to sign him as well.But if he doesn't sign a new contract, that means that come January of next year, Arsenal, PSG, whatever team, can go and approach Vinicius Junior and sign a pre -contract deal with him that he leaves for free next summer.Surely Madrid are not going to let that happen.This is not over yet.Until we've seen When this year's junior sign a new contract, I don't think you can say this deal is dead.The transfer window runs to the 1st of September, and this story will rumble on for Real Madrid.

They have to get him to sign a new contract.Now, if he does sign a new contract, I think that's it.He's staying.100 % he's staying.If he doesn't, and I was Arsenal, and he didn't sign a new contract, I'd just say, OK, cool.We're going to come back for you in January, and we'll get you for nothing.

Even better for us.So this, I feel, until we get more news around it, it's not dead yet.It's not as good as it was a couple of days ago, where it was looking like, you know, something could definitely happen.This, for me, is still all up in the air.Of course, Real Madrid are going to come out and say, stay out of it.seen Real Madrid do this a lot in the past.

They use the press very well.They do.They're the best at it.But Vinicius Juniors, we need to hear from him.We need to hear that he's staying.And I think we might get a clearer picture over the next couple of days because he's set to come back.

So we're going to find out a little bit more about this.But at the moment, it's still up in the air for me.Let's wait and see.until we get some real definitive news.If Arsenal can't get him, are they going to turn to Julian Alvarez?This is equally as difficult a deal to get done.

When you're trying to get these type of players, it's not as easy and as straightforward as how people try to portray it.

These are very, very difficult deals to get done.Now, of course, we know he wants to go to Barcelona and they don't want to sell him Atletico Madrid to Barcelona.

They're refusing and saying that he's staying.But if he does go, Arsenal may be ready to bring him in.We know that again, Andrew Burt has signed him at Atletico Madrid.There is a big admirer of his.So is Mikel Arteta.And he could be a plan B. If Arsenal can't get Vinicius Junior and he does sign a new contract, they may turn all their attentions to him.

Something that was really interesting yesterday, I was seeing Fabrizio Romano was saying that he's not heard anything about Yocarez being included in any deal to sign him.And I've seen other journalists as well say that Arsenal would not include Yocorez in any deal to sign him.It would be they want to buy Julian Alvarez, no Yocorez included in the deal, which I like that.Listen, if you're going to get Alvarez for me, you get Alvarez on the left, Yocorez down the middle, Sacco on that right -hand side.That would be the ideal situation for me.But let's see how that one plays out.

Again, going to find out a lot more about that situation when he returns back.

He's got a little bit longer time off, of course, because, you know, they got all the way to the World Cup final.But that one is going to start boiling up.

One player who is returning, though, this weekend is Bruno Guimaraes.And things are starting to really bubble up on this one.We're coming down to crunch mode on this saga.Ben Jacobs yesterday and various other journalists reporting that Arsenal are in advanced talks to get this deal done with a bid worth up to around £75 million if you add everything in.And they're looking to tie this deal down as soon as possible to get him in for pre -season at Arsenal.Now, there's a lot of Newcastle fans yesterday saying he ain't going nowhere.

I heard some on the radio, they're adamant he's not going anywhere.They were even pointing to the fact that, you know, whilst he was on holiday, he was fishing.and he had on a Newcastle hat.And they pointed to the fact that, listen, he's wearing a Newcastle bucket hat.

He ain't going nowhere.Why would he wear that?Listen, Bruno Gimaraes is trying to be as loyal as he possibly can to Newcastle.He's trying to be as respectful as he possibly can.Listen, undoubtedly, he loves the club.He loves Newcastle.

But the problem that Newcastle have got is that he's an ambitious footballer.He's looking at Arsenal as his last big move.He wants to play in the Champions League.Much as he loves Newcastle, football for these guys comes first.And Declan Rice loved West Ham.He still is a lover of West Ham.

You saw when he was disappointed when they went down.

But he wants to go to a club where he can win the highest prizes.And Declan Rice achieved that by making that move.And I think Bruno Gimaraes will move to Arsenal.But let's wait and see what happens.I think we're going to get a clearer picture by the end of the week on this Bruno Gimaraes deal.But Bruno Gimaraes being linked again today heavily with that move, despite what all the Newcastle fans are saying.

And Ivan Fresneda is a player that I've spoken about before, right back who plays for Sporting CP.Again today, heavily linked with a move to Arsenal.In fact, there's been reports saying a deal for him could be tied up as early as the end of next week.Now, he plays for Sporting CP, he's a right back, as I said, and we know that Arsenal have got a problem at the back with William Saliba's injury.Now, it looks like they may be approaching this from two ways.

Get a right back in, you can then bring inside you know, either Ben White or Timbo can both play centre -back, as we know, they're both centre -backs who've been sort of playing right back.

So maybe a Fresnada signing of Ivan Fresnada makes sense.The Spaniard had a good season last year at Sporting and is considered a really, really top player.But what will the fee be?The report says that the fee will be a lot less than it would be for signing an Esri concern.Of course, he's only 21.He does have this 69 million pound release clause, but Arsenal not expecting to pay that if they move for him.

Going to be interesting to see how this one develops out over the next few days.But Ivan Fresnada being linked with a move to Arsenal.And what about Fabio Vieira, the forgotten man?Florian Pettenberg saying yesterday that Arsenal want 15 .4 million pounds from him.They've kind of lowered their price because they kind of wanted about 20 million before.He wants to move Vieira to Hamburg, who was on loan there last season, a very successful loan period for him.

However, Hamburg's still not willing to go as high as that price.And if they're going to get him for free, Hamburg, you're going to have to pay.up some money.Listen, the only teams that pay the ridiculous money are either the Premier League clubs or the three big clubs in Spain, right?Or PSG and France.Bayern.

Nobody else seems to have much money to pay for these players.Everybody else is sensible apart from, you know, these clubs.And that's because All these clubs know they've got big money, but when you go to sell them back players the other way, it's a different story.But Fabio Vieira, still looking for that move to Hamburg, but Hamburg, they're going to have to up, you know, the prices if they want to get him.
