I also heard what Fabrizio Romano had to say about Tenali.I've also seen what Andy Mitton and Laurie Whitwell and The Athletic have had to say about Alex Scott and a couple of other things as well.

And I think all in all, What I said this morning, which was not a throwaway comment, it was just an opinion piece, I think it's actually gonna happen.So if you didn't watch the morning show this morning, get out.Why didn't you watch the morning show this morning?It's on at 10 o 'clock every morning.But I said, I feel like we will sign Edison, and I think that's gonna happen at any moment.We will sign Edison, and then I think we will wait.

I think we will sign Edison, and then we will wait for the opportunity that suits us best.necessarily opposed to it because it's a World Cup summer.Every other summer, I'd be moaning like an annoying person.Why haven't we done a deal?Why haven't we done a deal?Pre -season starts in July.

But pre -season doesn't start in July for everybody.It doesn't start in July for Bruno because he's going to be playing for Portugal.It doesn't start in July for Manu because he'll be playing for England.So I don't actually mind us waiting on a couple of deals.And I think if we get Edison in, we will wait on Ciuomini and Tonali.And I think that's what I'm detecting.

I think we want Anderson.And I think if Anderson goes to Liverpool, to Man City, which he probably will, we will wait on Ciuomini.But I tell you what, there's two significant updates today about Ciuomini and Tonali.And we'll talk about Alex Scott as well.And I want to know how you feel about this, because, look, I think it's very easy to be very negative about United and Ineos and Jason Wilcox.And I think they are useless.

But we're still Man United.Even with a Wally in charge, we're still Man United.We're still Manchester United and it's not hard to run Man United.When you're deep it, it's not actually hard to run Man United.We're very wealthy, we make a lot of money, we have a huge fan base and we're a big club.The fact that we've failed for the last 13 years is actually an achievement by our owners because it's hard to fail.

I genuinely think it's hard to fail.I don't applaud Man United for signing Tonali.I go, well, you should be doing that.That's exactly what you should be doing.And I think some of our fans have fallen into the trap where if we do the right thing, it's like, oh my God, we're not worthy.We're not worthy.

I actually think it's impossible to fail as an owner of Man United, unless you really try at it, because we're Manchester United.We should be out there buying players.I mean, we make a lot of money, but I'm actually optimistic tonight because I think that what is going to happen is we are going to make a statement signing It's very obvious to me that we're going to make a statement signing to replace Casimiro.

And it's very obvious to me that that cannot be Edison, Belayber, Fernandes, Alex Scott, Garner, Ampadu.

It has to be a statement.And it sounds like United understand that.And that statement signing has to be underTonali or Ciumini.And for the first time in a long time, I actually sit here in front of you tonight and believe we'll do it.And for the last few days, I've been worried about it because I've been thinking Anderson goes to Man City, Tonali is too expensive and Ciumini stays at Real Madrid.

But I actually think now, and I'll always be honest, I actually think we're going to do it.I still hold out hope that we can get Anderson.But even if he does go to Man City, I still, from the updates I've heard today, think we've got a good chance.And if we start off with Tenali, I heard Romano again say it today.Man United were in Italy last week, not just for Edison.

Ingoings and outgoings in addition to Edison.And remember, Tenali's agents were in Italy last week.

Romano said that.Secondary to that, we've heard Ben Jacobs say today and a couple of other outlets on Tenali, Man United don't want to pay £100 million for him.They'll monitor that situation and see if the price comes down.Don't necessarily have a problem with that.Don't necessarily have a problem with that.Look, is anybody going to step in?

I think Tonali is worth £100 million if you compare it to Declan Rice and Kaiseido.But in this market, maybe he's not.You know, you've just sold Anthony Gordon for £70 and he's younger with more on his contract.So maybe you can bring that price down.So I think with Tenali, it sounds more optimistic than I have been for a long time.I don't necessarily think United are out of it if the price comes down a little bit.

So if that price comes down a little bit, I still think we might have a chance for Tenali, which is great.But on Tuomini,

I don't even know if I want to say this because I think I might, I think I might cause general screaming of excitement.But I genuinely, look, we had that person on last night who was laughing their head off with their laughing emojis that we're not going to sign Chiomini.

I genuinely think we've got a chance.I genuinely think we've got a chance because Real Madrid need to rebuild their midfield.Well, if you need to rebuild your midfield, Chiomini, Valverde, Bellingham, I thought you needed to rebuild your midfield.Well, we do.Well, Tuomini, Valverde, Bellingham, and you need to rebuild your midfield.Yeah, we need at least two signings.

OK, you need to sign two players in the midfield that's got Tuomini, Valverde and Bellingham.Somebody, somebody's got to go.Somebody's got to move.And I think that it's highly likely it will be Tuomini.And we have set our stall out.We've called him our dream target.

We want him.We've got a good relationship with Real Madrid.So we've got to go.I genuinely do think that, look, I wouldn't sit here and say on the Hotometer, Ciuomini is, you know, a 7 or an 8, but I still think he's a 6.I think there's a 60 % chance that we get him because I think Real Madrid want to rebuild their midfield.And to do that, they need to make a bit of money and they also need to create a bit of space.

And let's not forget as well, I saw somebody on this on X today, I think it was like Swedish Rumble actually.And it's absolutely true.And we spoke about this a couple of weeks ago.That Knocking out Valverde.Get your words right.Not knocking one out.

Knocking out Valverde.is very, very significant.Very, very significant.And people in the chat are saying it's going to be Camavinga, it's going to be Camavinga.Listen to me.Valverde is vice -captain at Real Madrid.

He got knocked out by Chiomini in the dressing room because they had a fight two days in a row.Now, Real Madrid have done a great job at calming that down and getting statements from players and stuff, but that's an issue.

even if they've made friends made friends never never break friends that is still an issue and i think that somebody's got to go from that situation and it's been you know what credit to real madrid because no one's talking about it anymore and i think a lot of people in the chat are going oh yeah that that that was very significant imagine right bruno fernandez gets knocked out by kunya after two days of fighting it's You know, oh, we're friends, we're friends, but you're still going, bloody hell, you know?So I think there's an opportunity there as well.

And that makes me very, very optimistic because I think that if Man United's dream target is Tuominy, I want them to get their dream target.

I mean, is he my dream target?No.Is he in my top three?Yes.But if Man United are saying this is their dream target, then I want them to go and get him.So I think that that is a very realistic opportunity of United as well.

And look, I'll talk about Alex Scott next, but we need to replace Casemiro with a signing that excites.When Mourinho bought Paul Pogba that summer, we got Mourinho in and then we got Paul Pogba.

And I remember in the first few weeks of the Pogba story, it was like, we can't do this.We can't do this.We can't do this.We did do that.

And those types of signings create a buzz around a football club.We have to bring a midfielderin that creates a buzz.Edison might be a really good signing, he doesn't create a buzz.Fernandes might be a really good signing, he doesn't create a huge buzz.You bring in Chiumini or you bring in Tonali or you bring Elliot Anderson and you get that buzz and United will want that buzz.

You know, they will.So, look, I think tonight I would say It's been a very intriguing day, there's been a lot of updates from a lot of people and I think coming out of the day from this morning, I genuinely do believe Tenali we may have spoken to in Italy and Cermini I think we've got a good chance.We just have to come out of this summer with one of Anderson, Chiomini and Tonali.And I think tonight I'm feeling quite optimistic about it.Look, the rug can get pulled from underneath you with Man United, of course it can, but I do feel quite encouraged by that.And also, as Kevin said, remember Ben Jacobs' update this afternoon?

It's Favell who's pushing the Chiomini deal.And I think we all know if Favell talks, Man United should be listening.And apparently it's Favell who is pushing the Chiomini deal.So that makes it even more intriguing, because I think we need to listen to that guy.I really do.I think he should be our director of football.

But it does worry me a little bit when we start to predict something we've got no knowledge about.So there's a lot of people at the moment that are saying Edison, Fernandes, and then one of Ciumini, Tenali, or Anderson.

And I sort of feel like going, well, why is it Fernandes?It looks like it's going to be Edison, but why is it Fernandes?Well, he only wants Man United, Mark.Does he?Has he done that interview?Well, it sounds like he does.

OK.And?And?Well, West Ham have been relegated, Mark.Oh, OK.So that means we're going to go for him.

Well, we do need a midfielder, Mark.Well, yeah, but apparently PSG are not.I like Fernandes at West Ham.But it's almost like people have gone, it's Edison, Fernandez, and then one of those other people.And actually, there's not a logical reason yet to think it is Fernandez.I think it could be.

But it isn't necessarily definitely him.And what I've liked about today is that we've had three separate updates on Alex Scott.

Now, I really like Fernandes at West Ham, but I prefer Alex Scott at Bournemouth, and it's only...

it's only how he plays.In the sense that I like Alex Scott, he has a confidence to the way he plays.He's big, he's good off both feet, he can dribble the ball, he can tackle, he's very energetic, I really like him.

And it's nothing against Fernandes.If we sign Fernandes from West Ham, you're very, very welcome.But there's something, you know, you do get it sometimes.I'd love United to sign Stiller.We're not going to do it.But Scott's a little bit like Stiller to me.

It's just a player I like watching.I like Scott at Bournemouth.And today, I've been saying this for weeks.Why are we not looking at Scott?I wish we were looking at Scott.Today is the first day I've heard multiple updates.

from different people about Alex Scott that give me hope.Ben Jacobs said Bournemouth are optimistic that Scott will sign a new contract, despite interest from several clubs including Manchester United.Laurie Whitwell saying he's somebody United are looking at as well, similar to Fernandez, they're exploring the financial demands on that one.And then Andy Mitten said United do like him, but Bournemouth don't wanna sell him.

So that's three updates.And now sometimes we're operating on one.He got three updates, Ben Jacobs, Laurie Whitwell, Andy Mitten, all basically saying that Man United like him.Now look, if he signs a new contract at Bournemouth, we're not gonna get him.He's got two years left on his contract.He's 22.

he's 22.He'd be 23 at the start of the season in August.

Perfect, absolutely perfect.I think he'd be perfect for Man United, but if he signs a new contract at Bournemouth, we can't do anything about it.

And I like that.I don't demand any player come to Man United.

I think Elliot Anderson should come to Man United, but look, Alex Scott, has an opportunity to play for Bournemouth next season under a new manager in the Europa League.He also has an opportunity to play for Manchester United under Michael Carrick in the Champions League next season.

And whatever he chooses, I will respect.

But I am encouraged tonight that we are looking at Alex Scott, but basically going, it might be difficult to get him.He's got If he signs a new contract, it's got nothing to do with Bournemouth.Like, fair play to Bournemouth for putting it on the plate, but he signs it.But it sounds to me like we're doing everything we can.And if you're Alex Scott, you sat there tonight going, well, Man United like me.And I think he'd be a very good player for Man United.

I really do.I think he's unlucky.And I know he is going with the England squad, but he's not in the England squad.He's one of those, you know when you have a World Cup, training camp before the World Cup.They tend to take four or five other players on standby.He's on standby for England.

But I think, honestly, if we signed Scott, he could push Maino out the team.I don't want Maino out the team.But what I'm saying is, I really rate him.I think he's a really good player.So yes, Fernandes, West Ham definitely could happen.But if Scott doesn't sign a new contract at Bournemouth, and he's homegrown,

I think there's a lot of sense in going for Scott over Fernandes.And I like both, but we do need to start bringing in some homegrown players.And I like Fernandes.I think he could be a really good player for us.And this is what I mean.We are spoilt for choice in some areas, but as long as it's not Buleba, I don't mind.

I mean, if it's Buleba, Scott or Fernandes and we sign Buleba, we're fucking idiots.But I am, I am, Encouraged by that tonight.

I am encouraged by that tonight if he signs a new contract at Bournemouth Let's get Fernandes But if we can push both we might be able to push prices down on both as well And also what if Fernandes does go to Arsenal wife PSG do go for him?You need a backup plan as well.So yeah, I like him Scott's numbers are mediocre I mean what numbers are you talking about?What numbers are you talking about goals and assists?Not really.Well, not not really what I'm looking for from that position to be honest with you What would you pay for Scott's as a V?

Um, well, I think he'd be around the same as Fernandez, wouldn't he?Because Fernandez is going to go for about 50 to 60.

And I think Scott won't go for any more than that because he's only got two years.I mean, he might be cheaper.Scott might be cheaper than Fernandez, actually, because he's got two years left on his contract.

So I wouldn't be looking to pay any more than 50.I mean, look, 35 for Edison, 50 for Scott.That's 85.Leaves you with 65.

to get to 150 on three midfielders, you'll get Tumini for 65.You could get Tumini for 65, Scott for 50 and Edison for 35 and you've spent 150.Not bad, is it?

I think that's why we like Tumini as well, isn't it?he is cheaper.How many years has Tumini got left on his contract?

He'll be cheaper than Tonali and Anderson anyway.But yeah, he's only got two years left on his contract.The more I look at it, the more I think Tumini suits Man United a lot, a lot.Because Real Madrid need to give him a new contract.Dino says Tumini goes for at least 75.Not with two years left on his contract.

I don't think he does.I don't think he does.
