I've been wrapping cars for years. This is the first time I've ever actually been nervous. A client came in knowing exactly what he wanted. Matte purple with a matte black color shift to it on a Mercedes EQS 580. He was getting it for his wife and that's what she wanted. So he found the exact one.

I had never wrapped one of these before, but that wasn't what was making me nervous. I'm always wrapping cars that I've never done before, the same process, the same techniques. You use them from one card to the other. What was different here is that we're going with a color PPF. This is a new film that hasn't been around for too long. It's better than wrap. It'll last way longer, but the install is a bit different. You can't use a heat gun. The material is way thicker. It doesn't really want to bend, but it does want to stretch you cut it. And that's something I could work with but the brand just came out with these materials so not a lot of people have used them. And when I checked around online just for some tips, most people were mentioning how difficult it is. Everyone was having a really hard time

installing it. And this has happened before. I don't really look for help but when I do, I don't really find it's a different new product that they released. So when we scheduled this car in, I went ahead and bought extra material. I was expecting to mess up and I was expecting to mess up a lot. I bought a lot extra because my goal is to make it come out as nice as possible, even if it means I make less profit.
