It says the Globe is not naming the sources as they were not authorized to disclose internal staffing matters.So it goes on to say here, the title of Chief Operating Officer is unusual.for the Prime Minister's office.Ms. Johnson's role, the sources said, will mirror the corporate sector's approach to having a person, the COO, in charge of ensuring the day -to -day work of an organization happens as desired.Carney's running Canada like a corporation.He's bringing in his COO.

Ms. Johnson is American and is cited in news stories as playing a role in political strategy and logistics for Democrats, including Hillary Clinton.Interesting.So Mark Carney bringing in another American.He's got Tim Hodgson, also an American.Mark Carney, practically American himself, 91 % invested in America.Is this what elbows up voters thought they were getting when they voted for the Liberals?

A bunch of Americans, a COO, essentially American running Canada.So Ms. Johnson here is referenced as being connected to the former New York mayor and media baron, Michael Bloomberg, now defunct political strategy firm, Hawkfish LLC.Mr. Bloomberg was the co -chair of GFANS with Mr. Carney.Of course, he was While at GFans, Mr. Carney delivered two lectures in 2022 on global governance of the environment, and he cited Ms. Johnson as having helped with the research.Goes on to say here that in June, the Conflicts of Interest, just listen to this, the Conflicts of Interest Commissioner posted a notice that she had been fined $200 for failing to file Rooney's report.required of all public office holders on time.

Yeah, we crunched the numbers to find out how often senators were casting votes in the upper house.And what we found is regular absenteeism.Dozens of senators are routinely missing big votes on some of the government's signature legislation.In some cases.You hear that?Dozens of senators are missing votes.

Dozens.We're talking, what, 30, 40 senators?Yeah, I'm having a long lunch break, guys.Can't go vote.Carney's probably pissed off about this.You see this in some cases, only 50.

This is only 50, 60 or 70 senators out of the 95 or so sitting members, are weighing in on whether to pass bills.Bills like anti -hate crime legislation, the budget, spending measures, changes to immigration rules, tax cuts and the like.In some instances, only a little more than half of all members of the redChamber are in the upper house for some consequential moments.In the 12 months following the last federal election, the Senate sat for just 76 days.Only eight senators have a perfect attendance record over that period.

The rest were away anywhere from one to 54 days out of the 76 for other.

That's right.One of the senators here gone for 54 days of the 76.Unbelievable.Fire these people.We should elect a Senate.Just wipe the Senate completely clear.

Get all these guys out of there and elect a new Senate.It should be properly distributed based on the population across Canada.And if people don't show up for work, they're fired.

Public business for time off or because they were sick.And it's Just raising concerns among some of the Senate's leadership.The conservative Senate leader, Leo Husakos, telling me in a statement, if attending the Senate three days a week, particularly when votes are scheduled for roughly 26 weeks a year or even fewer, is burdensome, then there is a legitimate question about whether the Senate is the appropriate place for them.So some strong words there from the conservative Senate leader.

J .P., are there any consequences for senators who miss votes?Can anything be done about it?

Well, not much because senators are, of course, appointed.They don't face the electorate.And after Justin Trudeau's reforms, virtually all of them sit as independents or they're not tied to a party that must face the voters.They are essentially lone wolves and they can do what they want.

There are no...There it is.Justin Trudeau brought in an army of independents, which would make them immune from basically everything.They can just go sit in there and pick their toenails, not even vote.and it doesn't matter.Our system is so broken on all levels.

" Whips anymore to enforce attendance or count votes, although I should note attendance was a problem in the past as well before these Trudeau changes.It's been a problem for years.But what Prime Minister Mark Carney is doing is overhauling the appointments process, saying after 10 years of appointing mostly non -partisan, independentsenators, people with more political experience are needed now.We asked him about that change earlier this week.Have a listen.

We look at the Senate as a whole and what the competencies are, and obviously familiarity with government, familiarity with legislative processes, other things are helpful, but we want some core competencies in there as well, and where the Senate is more deficient and there's people who are willing to serve, I'm very pleased that they are.

That's right.Carney wants to make sure there's people willing to serve, people good at corruption and sweeping things under the rug, things that are core competencies to him.

Beyond overhauling the appointments process, I'm told some senators are also reviewing how to encourage participation when they return to the fall, in the fall to a place that really is supposed to be the chamber of sober second thought.

If they have to encourage these people to do their job, they should be fired.Just get them out of there.These overpaid senators are an absolute waste of taxpayer dollars.Moving ahead here, some interesting data regarding Alberta separation fundraising versus the pro -Canada Alberta group fundraising.

I just don't even know where to go with this.He is pushing through net zero stuff, wind projects out east.She has no idea what's going on.She thinks that wind and solar can replace oil and gas.It can't.Not right now.

Maybe a mix of other things, nuclear, a whole bunch of things.You can't replace an economy on just wind and solar.Name a country that's done it.A lot of countries trying to add a bunch of it in.China.It still can't replace fossil fuels.

This is what happens when you have people who are so delusional, they just hear something on TV and just take it as fact and have no idea what they're talking about.

And we need clean energy, fair energy, and local energy.And Carney's not delivering that, he's delivering the opposite.
