Modding My PS3 Was a Waste of Time! #tech #technology #shorts #pc
Drilling inanimate objects for personal enjoyment is one of my favorite hobbies. So when I bought this PS3 five years ago, the first thing I did was Swiss cheese the side panel, so that monster of a fan could blow cold air onto that huge heatsink. And although Sony copied my homework with the PS5, they didn't install my fan controller that turns it into a jet engine. But the reason I did all this was to play just one game.Red Dead Redemption. So imagine my surprise when, after dumping 69 hours of my life into progressing the story, it was finally released on the PC, and it played so much better.
But there was one problem.I couldn't transfer my save file.
Or so I thought. After putting my tiny raccoon -like brain to work, I found out I can copy my save file to a USB, format it in your Mom 32, decrypt it using an app, then convert it to the PC version using another app.And after initially failing multiple times and contemplating seduction, I finally got it to work and even though troubleshooting cost me four hours of my life that I'll never get back for a game I'm too busy to even play I never gave up because being the greatest technician that's ever lived means suffering for the sake of teaching you something new
